Ben knew how much Jed had wanted to meet an angel and now it turned out that he had known one for some time after all. It sounded crazy and he could see just how surprised Jed was but he knew that in a way it was probably a good thing that Henrik had told them. Ben knew that there were good and bad people everywhere, it didn't matter what a person was they were all capable of being either good or bad but Ben knew that it was just one of those things. He had seen that more times than he cared to admit over the years and it was never going to change. Ben knew that Jed was angry with Castiel for not agreeing to help them and the truth was that Ben was too but at the same time there was a part of him that understood. He didn't agree with the angel's decision but he did understand why he had turned them down. "You do. That's pretty incredible," Ben admitted, a smile touching his lips as he looked over at Jed. "Who knows who else you know who could be supernatural." They all had to keep their secret and avoid being persecuted but Ben was starting to think that there were probably a lot more people in town who were supernatural than they knew. Jed had changed everything for Ben after coming into his life, Ben had never known that it was possible to love someone this much and he knew that what he'd said was true. As Jed said that he felt the same way, Ben felt a smile touch his lips as he wrapped his arm around his boyfriend's shoulders. "I know you do," Ben nodded. That was something that he hadn't ever had before and he knew better than to take it for granted. "You always look out for me and I love you for it," he added gently. Jed was always there trying to protect him and make sure that he was doing okay even though he knew that if he died he would come back to life and the fact that Jed cared so much meant the world to him. It wasn't just Jed that Ben was worried about right now, though, he was also worried about Jed's parents. They were trying to stay so strong but Ben knew that this had to be difficult for them and he wanted to make sure that they were doing okay as well. It really had surprised him that they weren't shutting him out after what had happened but instead they seemed worried about him as well and Ben really was grateful to them for that. "Josie will be okay. She has so many people around her who love her and she won't be going through any of this on her own, she and Hope will figure this out together," he said, offering Jenna a reassuring smile which widened slightly as Ric gave him an appreciative nod. Henrik couldn't deny that he was worried about Hope, she was still so young and she hadn't asked for any of this but he knew that if there was anyone who could handle this then it was her. She was an incredible young woman and she always seemed to take everything in her stride so he knew that now wouldn't be any different. Henrik knew that his brother, on the other hand, wouldn't take it anywhere near as well when he found out what had happened but they would cross that bridge when they got to it. As Jed said he felt like he could sleep for three business days, both Josie and Ben laughed along with him. "I know what you mean," Josie grinned, a smile touching her lips as Ben nodded. "Think we'll get a couple of days off school to recover?" she asked in an attempt to keep the mood light before smiling sweetly at her parents. She hadn't been in the thick of the fight like the two of them had been or like Hope had been but Josie had used a lot of magic that day and she knew that she needed some time to get her strength back. Whether completing the transition would make her feel better or not she wasn't sure, she knew that that was making things worse right now and if she was honest the lights were starting to hurt her eyes the more that time went on and she could already feel her strength starting to drain away. "I'm so glad that hasn't changed," Josie admitted gently. She had never doubted that her parents loved her but this was a lot for her to take in so she could only imagine what it had to be like for them. "It will never change. You're always going to be our little girl and we're never going to stop loving you. We're always going to be here for you," Ric assured her. Josie knew that the last part wasn't completely true, her parents were still mortal and so were all of her family apart from Elena but it still meant the world to Josie that they way they saw her hadn't changed. "Neither did I but it definitely makes sense. You're the only one of your kind, this is unchartered territory for all of us," Henrik said, giving Hope's shoulder a gentle squeeze. Josie hated seeing how upset Hope was and she could see that Henrik did too so the suggestion that Hope went ahead and completed her transition now slipped from Josie's lips with ease. She knew that Hope had wanted to do that together but Josie knew that she didn't want her girlfriend to struggle or feel disconnected from her magic for any longer than she had to be. "So stubborn," Josie muttered although there was no hint of anger or malice in her words, if anything they were full of love. "Alright, we'll do this together then," she nodded, unable to deny that she was glad that Hope hadn't wanted to do this without her. She had wanted to do what was best for Hope but it meant a lot that Hope hadn't agreed. Watching as Henrik created the necklace for her, a smile touched her lips as Hope fastened it around her neck and she didn't hesitate in storing her magic in the necklace. "It's beautiful, thank you," she said, offering Henrik and Hope a smile. "It will double up as your daylight amulet so don't let anyone take this away from you," he said gently and Josie nodded. "I won't, don't worry," she assured him, knowing that she would do everything she could in order to keep this one safe. "Thanks dad," Josie said, offering him a smile as he handed her one of the blood bags. He gave her shoulder a gentle squeeze and did the same for Hope before returning to her mom and she looked around the room at everyone gathered there for a moment before turning to look at Hope. "Same here, let's do this," she said, feeling her gums already start to ache at the thought. Taking a deep breath, Josie lifted the blood bag to her lips and nodded as Hope's gaze came to rest on her. Taking her first sip at the same time as her girlfriend, Josie had thought that the taste of blood would be disgusting the way it always had been before but this time it was different, this time it tasted like it was something that she needed and not just that, it was also something that she wanted. Josie was used to being around people who needed blood to survive, after all she had grown up around Elena and MG was one of her best friends and she had also seen what it was like for Raf ever since he became a hybrid. Seeing them drink blood had never bothered her at all but it wasn't something that she had thought that she would end up doing herself so soon. The more she drank the easier it became and Josie could feel her fangs emerging and as she caught sight of herself in the mirror she could see the veins under her eyes as well. As her gaze came to rest on Hope once more she could see that Hope's eyes had changed as well and Josie finished the remaining blood before lowering the bag and pulling her girlfriend into a tight hug. "Thank you for waiting for me," she said gently, unable to deny that it meant a lot. Turning to look at Jed as he asked how they were feeling, Josie turned to look at him and offered him a gentle smile. "Pretty incredible actually, I just need to try something," she said, offering Henrik a grateful smile as he knew what she meant and stepped forward before offering his arm so she could siphon from him. Placing her hand on his arm, Josie was relieved to see it start glowing red and she tried a simple spell to light a candle and a relieved smile touched her lips as it lit instantly. "Everything is so clear and bright now, is this what it has always been like for you guys?" she asked as she let go of Henrik's arm, looking from Jed to Hope and MG. She had never had enhanced senses the way they had but it was something that she knew she could definitely get used to. "How are you feeling?" she asked Hope, not sure if it was any different for her. HOPE MIKAELSON

– I freed myself from words never said –
Jed released a small gasp at that. "Oh my god, I actually never thought about that." Needless to say, it was a thrilling thought. With the students at the school, he knows they are supernatural beings but once he actually steps a foot outside of the school, he can't tell for sure. Oh god, what if his friend Albert was a supernatural being this whole time and he just never knew?
Jed's lips stretched to form a soft smile at Ben's words, his words making his heart flutter in the most pleasant way possible. "I love you too," Jed said, his smile still present on his lips as he spoke. Talking to Ben like this made him momentarily forget just how tiring the day had actually been.
Jed nodded his head in agreement with Ben, his eyes relaxing on his parents as he watched them with a small smile on his lips. "It's gonna be okay." He assured them in a soft voice. "I know it seems scary right now, but they'll get through this." Because they had all of them. They won't let the girls go through any of it alone. He knew they were going to try their hardest to look out for them and make sure that they are protected. Jenna offered him and Ben a soft smile as she nodded her head. "Thank you, boys."

━ the heart wants what it wants━
Hope chuckled at Josie's words as she could hear everyone mutter their agreement with Josie's words, even Jack. He knew that he didn't participate in the fight but he wanted to give his vote regardless. Jed definitely agreed with Josie. "Three days to a week? Two weeks? Up until graduation?" Jed spoke up, knowing he was being a little too optimistic.
"Alaric's right, baby. It'll never change." Jenna said with a soft smile resting on her lips as her eyes relaxed on her daughter. Hope watched them with a smile shadowing Jenna's own. Hope's situation was different from Josie's. Her family was nearly all immortal while Josie's family was far from it. Except for Elena, of course. She just hoped that Josie won't have to know what it feels like to lose a member of her family again any time soon since Jed did get killed once.
"Yeah, I guess so. It's fine, though. It's only until I feed." Hope said with a quick nod of her head following as she glanced over at Josie who suggested that she feeds first though she turned down the suggestion almost right away. "Tell me something I don't know." Hope's lips stretched into a small smile as she said that.
Once they were all ready to feed, Hope gave her girlfriend a quick nod, and slowly, she began to feed. Once she was done, she felt like herself again, but this time, she felt a lot stronger. It was a good feeling. When Josie pulled her into a tight hug, Hope easily returned it, her own arms wrapping around her girlfriend not too long after. "Of course." She said in a soft voice, closing her eyes for a moment before she pulled away from the hug. "Yeah, I feel pretty great." Hope had never felt this kind of power before and she liked it quite a lot, actually. Her attention moved to Josie, watching as she was able to use her magic which made her smile almost immediately.
"Yeah, it was definitely a lot to get used to when I completed my transition. It was almost like I could hear colors. It was weird, but also a good kind of weird." MG said with a half-smile resting on his lips. "It'll take you a minute to get used to, but once you do, it'll feel even better," Jed added next, his smile still evident on his lips as he spoke. Hope nodded her head in agreement with both Jed and MG because it was like that for her too when she triggered her curse.
"Like I'm ready to kick an angel's ass," Hope said with a half-smile resting on her lips. "But aside from that, I feel pretty great. Stronger. It's not a bad feeling at all."

“It’s never easy to tell so some people might surprise you,” Ben said, a smile touching his lips as he looked over at Jed. There were so many people out there who were probably trying to keep what they were a secret like they were and Ben knew that that was to be expected. He had kept what he was a secret from most people over the millennia and it was only when he met Jed that he started opening up to people. It wasn’t always easy to come clean to people so it would definitely be interesting to find out if there were going to be any surprises along the way. As Jed said that he loved him too, Ben leaned forward and pressed his lips against his boyfriend’s gently. Ben hated the way that things had worked out that day but one thing was for sure, he was never going to regret any of his time with Jed. He had never known that it was possible to love someone this much and he knew that he was powerless to walk away from him. “I know you do,” Ben said gently, a smile touching his lips as he let his forehead rest against Jed’s for a moment. “I’m lucky to have you.” There wasn’t a doubt in his mind about that, Jed was the best thing to have ever happened to him and Ben knew that that was never going to change. “They will. They’re both incredible and they have family and friends who love them. They can do this,” he nodded, in complete agreement with Jed. There was nothing worse than trying to go through something alone but the girls didn’t have to worry about that. They had so many people around who loved them and that was never going to change. As Jenna thanked them, Ben offered her a smile in return. “You’re welcome,” he said gently. “The two of you aren’t alone in this either, you can lean on us,” he offered. Ben knew that Jenna and Ric always tried to stay strong for their lids and that was admirable but he knew that it had to be difficult for them and he wanted to make sure that they knew they had people in their corner when they needed them as well. Josie couldn’t help but smile as the others all agreed with her that they could use some time off after everything that had happened that day. “Don’t push it, son,” Ric chuckled although his tone was completely playful as he looked over at Jed when he asked if they could stay off school until graduation. “Considering what you’ve all been through you can have a three day weekend, how does that sound?” he offered, knowing that none of them would want to miss too much considering they still had exams coming up and it would still mean that they wouldn’t have to worry about going to school tomorrow. “Thank you dad,” Josie said, her smile widening as she hugged him tightly. It came as a huge relief when her mom agreed with her dad, Josie knew that they were accepting of the supernatural considering they had opened a school to give kids like her a safe place to come into their powers without having to worry but this was different. “It will never change for me either, I love you guys.” Josie had thought that she would get the chance to talk it through with her parents and siblings as well as Hope before going through with this but that decision had been taken away from her by Ben’s father and nothing could change that now. “I know. I still hate that you’re disconnected from your magic though,” Josie said gently. Josie had never been able to generate her own magic and she instead had to borrow it from others. She knew what it was like to run out as her pendant could only hold a certain amount of magic but she knew that she was going to have to be much more careful from now on because if she let the new one run out then she would revert to being just a regular vampire and Josie knew that she never wanted to lose her siphoning ability for good. “Luckily I love that about you,” Josie grinned. She had known that Hope was stubborn before they got together and she was glad that it hadn’t changed. Josie began to feed at the same time that Hope did and even though she knew that she should be repulsed by the fact that she was drinking blood, the truth was that she wasn’t at all. Josie liked the taste and she could tell that it was making her stronger already and by the time she was done she felt better than she ever had before. Josie had tried to get Hope to complete her transition before her so she wouldn’t have to go without her magic for too long but the truth was that she was glad Hope had waited and she held her girlfriend close for a few moments before letting her go. “It’s definitely weird but like you said it’s a good weird. I like it,” Josie admitted. Everything was so much more defined than it had ever been before and she could hear things like the others’ heartbeats but now that she’d fed she didn’t feel tempted and she hoped that it would stay that way for a while. “I bet,” Josie nodded as Jed said it would get even better once she got used to it. “I hope you know I’m going to be counting on you guys to help me get used to this,” she added with a grin. She knew that she had so much to learn, she had seen the others use their abilities more times than she could remember but she had never had abilities like that herself so she knew that it was going to be a steep learning curve. “You’re right, it’s not a bad feeling at all,” Josie nodded. “It might not be how you wanted it to happen but now you were the person you were always meant to become.” Hope was born a witch and she had proved time and time again how strong she was but she had only grown stronger when she had triggered her werewolf curse and it sounded like the same thing had happened now that she had activated her vampire side. “We’ll be ready for him next time.”HOPE MIKAELSON

Jed nodded his head in agreement with Ben. "Man, it's such a shame that we can't sniff 'em out." He said with a disappointed sigh falling from his lips. "But you know what, that makes things even more interesting." Jed said a moment later with a hum falling from his lips not long after. It was the thrill of not knowing that made it even more enjoyable.
"I'm lucky to have you too." Jed said with a soft smile forming on his lips, his eyes relaxing on his boyfriend, watching him with a tender look on his face before his attention drifted to his parents, offering his mom a soft smile. "He's right, you know. You're not alone in this." Jed agreed with a nod of his head following, meaning every word. Jenna and Alaric had been there for him through thick and thin. He had every intention of being there for them, too. Especially now.
Jed knew that it must have been really difficult for them to see Josie like that. If Jed had broken down at the sight of her, then he knew for sure that they were feeling way worse. She was their daughter, after all. He just hoped that they wouldn't have to experience it twice, especially if something similar were to ever happen to Lizzie.

━ the heart wants what it wants━
Hope could see the excitement on Jed's face when Alaric let them have a three-day weekend. "Oh yes, baby! I mean, uh, shame, I just love school so much." Jed attempted to cover his enthusiasm, coughing behind a closed fist as he feigned disinterest. "Thank you." Hope said with a soft smile resting on her lips, knowing they all need that after the fight they've been through. Ben's father was strong and as much as she hated to admit it, fighting him took a lot out of her. She hated the fact that a part of her was starting to wonder if they could really give him the punishment he deserved. Though when her eyes relaxed on Ben, she knew they were going to try. They owed Ben that much.
Hope watched Josie and her parents with a fond smile resting on her lips, finding it all to be incredibly heart-warming. She wished that the fight had ended differently but she knew there was no use wishing for that right now. They were just going to have to get used to it.
"I know. I hate it, too." Hope offered back with a small smile forming on her lips. She knew that it was only momentarily, just until she had enough blood to complete her transition. Hope let out a chuckle at Josie's next words, her soft eyes focused solely on her girlfriend.
Once they had both completed their transition, Hope felt like a completely different person. But in a good way. She felt stronger than before, too. "Oh, don't worry, we're gonna help you out," MG said with a smile on his lips. MG knew the temptation of blood better than most and if it weren't for his countless days of training with Stefan, he would've been a lost cause by now. He worked on himself day and night to get better at controlling his thirst. He was aware that most people thought that he had it easy, but getting to this point had been far from easy. It was his determination to not become a monster that helped him get to this point. MG was going to try his best to help both Josie and Hope with their cravings but he knew that it was only going to get tricky from here.
Hope's eyes moved to relax on Josie, her words making her lips stretch to form a genuine smile. "Thank you," Hope said with a soft smile stretching her lips. "I appreciate that." She added a moment later. "You're gonna be great at this, too, you know. Being a heretic. You'll seriously kick some ass." Hope said with a grin stretching her lips.
"Oh, yes we will be," Hope said with a nod of her head following. "We'll make him regret ever messing with us," Jed said next with a determined voice. They were most definitely going to give him hell for putting them through so much pain and honestly, Hope couldn't wait. Hope's eyes moved to Jack who was watching them before he held his hands up. "I will pretend I'm unaware that this conversation took place. Castiel won't know." Jack promised with a small smile forming on his lips. A smile that Hope soon returned. "So... what do you guys wanna do now?" Hope spoke up a moment later as she placed the blood bag aside, her hand drifting up to curl a strand of hair behind her ear.

As Jed said it was a shame they couldn't just sniff out anyone who was supernatural, Ben couldn't help but laugh. "Now where would the fun in that be?" he chuckled. Deep down he knew that it would have made his life that much easier because he could have stayed far away from anyone who was supernatural while the monsters were hunting him down but then again he knew that things probably wouldn't have worked out the way they had done if they could. "It definitely makes things more interesting," he agreed. "It's probably a good thing we can't because we might not have met otherwise," he added gently. Jed and Ric could have easily decided to leave him there when they'd found him in the woods that day if they had known and Ben wasn't sure that he would have risked heading to Mystic Falls if he had been able to tell exactly who in town was supernatural and who wasn't and exactly how many there were. That was something that Ben didn't even want to think about because the truth was that even after what had happened that day he was glad that he had made his way to Mystic Falls. He hated what his father had done but one thing that he didn't want to do was to blame himself for what his father had done, especially since the angel had made it clear that he had known who they all were and Ben wouldn't have been surprised if his father had been planning this move long before Ben had found his way to Mystic Falls in the first place. "I'm glad you think so because you're stuck with me," Ben said, bringing his hand up and letting it rest against Jed's cheek gently. Ben hadn't for one moment thought that he would find love when he arrived in Mystic Falls but the truth was that he had found so much more, he had found his soulmate and he knew that he had found the person that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with in Jed. "We know but you kids have enough on your plates already. We don't want to burden you," Ric shrugged. He and Jenna had friends of their own that they could lean on so it didn't seem fair to add to what the kids were going through. "You do remember I'm older than all of you put together, right?" Ben chuckled. "You do so much for everyone else so let us do something for you for a change." Ben knew that it couldn't have been easy to first learn that Jed had died and then find out that Josie was in transition, they were clearly upset and understandably so but they were trying to keep it together for all of them and Ben knew that had to be taking a toll on them. "You don't have to shoulder this alone."Watching Hope and Josie, Ben's expression turned thoughtful for a moment as Hope asked what they should do now before he turned to look at his boyfriend. "I don't know about you but I'm starving," he admitted. Ben always felt hungry when he died and was brought back and he hadn't eaten anything after the crocotta killed him not to mention it had ended up being an incredibly long day so right now he hoped they would have the chance to take it easy for a while. "Sure you do," Ric laughed, an amused smile touching his lips as he looked over at his son. He could see how happy Jed was about the idea of having a long weekend and Josie, Hope and the others seemed to be as well. They had been through so much in such a short space of time and Ric knew that it really was the least he could do. "You're welcome," he said, offering Hope a nod as she thanked him. Ric couldn't even begin to imagine what it must have been like for them to go through everything they had that day, it was going to take them time to process it and he hoped that this would give them that chance. Josie found herself studying her girlfriend carefully for a moment. "What are you thinking?" she asked gently, knowing that there was something on Hope's mind. So much had changed in the last few hours and it was scary to say the least but Josie knew that it would work out in the end because she and Hope weren't alone, they had incredible friends and family around them and none of them were going to let them go through this on their own. "You'll have it back before you know it," Josie assured her girlfriend. She knew what it was like to feel powerless as she felt that way whenever her magic ran out and she wasn't able to siphon anyone. Right now Hope was disconnected from her magic but it wouldn't be for long and that was enough to bring Josie some comfort. "I hoped you would say that," Josie said, offering MG a smile as he said that they were going to help them out. Josie knew that she had so much to learn about being a vampire, she had tried to help her friends through it but it had been difficult since she had never experienced any of it herself. Now she was going to be doing just that and it was a relief to know that they had people in their corner to help them. "How often do you usually try and feed?" she asked, knowing that the last thing she wanted was to end up leaving it too long and end up losing control around her family. She knew that they would be able to stop her but it wasn't a risk that she was willing to take. She knew that not all vampires were monsters, she had met so many like MG who were kind and gentle, but Ben's father seemed to think that they were all monsters regardless and Josie knew that she didn't want to prove him right. "It's the truth," Josie said gently, her eyes fixed on her girlfriend as she spoke. As Hope spoke again, Josie couldn't help but laugh. "I hope you're right," she grinned before looking over at her dad. "Are you up for increasing our training sessions dad?" she asked, hoping that he would say yes. "Of course I am baby, anything to keep you safe," he nodded and Josie offered him a grateful smile in return. He had been training her how to fight for a while now but Josie just hadn't had the physical strength to put behind that training before. Now she had not only the strength but the speed she would need as well and she knew that she wanted to learn how to make it count. "I won't lie, it's a relief to know I won't have to hang back while you all put yourselves in danger anymore," she added. She had done it because the others were all stronger and faster than she was and unlike her they would heal. She also hadn't wanted them to worry about her getting hurt but they wouldn't have to do that any longer and it really was a relief. "We'll make him regret messing with Ben as well," Josie said, offering the nephilim a smile as he flashed her a somewhat surprised and yet grateful smile. Ben's father had started out by torturing his own son for thousands of years and now he was determined to wipe everyone who was supernatural off the face of the Earth. There was no way that they were going to just stand back and let that happen, he had to be stopped and they were going to find a way to do it. "Thank you Jack," she said gently as he promised that he would pretend he hadn't heard what they were talking about. She didn't know what had happened with Castiel but she got the impression that it wasn't good so she was glad that he would keep it to himself. As Hope asked what they wanted to do now and Ben said that he was starving, Josie's expression turned thoughtful for a moment but she soon looked over at Henrik as he chimed in. "It's getting late, little one. We'd better get you home and fill your parents in on what happened."HOPE MIKAELSON

– I freed myself from words never said –
Jed knew that Ben definitely had a point when he asked him where the fun would be in being able to sniff out creatures. "That's actually a good point." Jed released a small hum, reconsidering his words from earlier now as a chuckle fell from his lips not long after. "Yeah, you're right about that." Jed said with a half-smile resting on his lips. "In that case, I don't wanna be able to sniff 'em out." He added a moment later with a shrug of his shoulders following not long after. A part of him wondered what Ben would smell like – not in a creepy way, alright? – if he really did have the ability to be able to sniff out supernatural creatures. He'd probably smell like something – holy. Something unreachable and hard to describe, but desired nonetheless. Something capable of consuming him whole and repairing all his open wounds. It was that very realization that made his lips stretch to form a soft smile.
"Oh, man, whatever shall I do to escape you?" Jed asked in a dramatic tone before a chuckle fell from his lips not long after, showcasing the fact that he was messing around. "Burden? It wouldn't be a burden, dad." Jed shook his head with a small frown tugging at his features. His attention drifted to Ben when he reminded them that he was older than all of them which made Jed chuckle. "Oh, here he goes," Jed said with a fond roll of his eyes following. Sometimes, Jed forgets that Ben was older than all of them combined. He was older than Hope's family, too. "Ben's right, you know. You shouldn't shoulder this alone." Jed added a moment later, his eyes moving to relax on his parents, giving them an encouraging nod of his head to let them know that they can reach out to them if things get intense for them. He didn't want them to think that they were alone in all of this.
Jed released a thoughtful hum when Hope asked what they should do, though his eyes relaxed on Ben when he heard his comment about feeling hungry. "Now that you've mentioned it, I'm pretty hungry too, actually." Jed pointed out a moment later, his hand resting on his stomach as it grumbled almost on cue. Jenna caught onto the conversation and hesitated for a moment, just in case the boys would prefer to eat by themselves but she felt as though she had to make the offer to let Ben know that it was on the table. "You can come over, sweetheart. I'll make something for you to eat." Jenna said with a nod of her head following, her eyes relaxing on Ben. "Unless you boys would prefer to eat somewhere private and just the two of you and if that's so, then that's completely fine too. Just as long as you're safe." Jenna added a moment later, wanting them to know that they didn't have to take her up on her offer.
"You can stay over, too, if you want," Jed added a moment later, his eyes relaxing on Ben. "Unless you wanna eat somewhere else? The Grill should still be open."

━ the heart wants what it wants━
Hope knew that after the day they've had, they could definitely use that three-day weekend. For Josie and Hope, they were most likely going to use that time to discover their powers and probably try out compulsion among other things. Hope doubted she'd actually be able to sit and relax through them, especially with all the new changes. She needed to get stronger if she wanted to make Ben's father pay. She wasn't just going to turn a blind eye to this and proceed with her life, not when the angel had taken away her choice of activating her vampire side willingly. No, he had made that decision for her and she hated him even more for it. Hope's attention moved to her girlfriend when she registered her question, her head tilted slightly to the side before she offered her a slight smile. It didn't surprise her at all that Josie was able to tell that she was thinking about something. "Ben's father," Hope revealed with a soft sigh falling from her lips. "He's strong, you guys have fought him, too. I guess for a brief moment I was wondering if he was too strong. For us, I mean." Hope spoke up, her lips pressing into a thin line at first before her shoulders lifted and dropped in a quick shrug. "But then I realized that it doesn't matter if he's strong. We'll still make him pay for what he did to Ben. For what he did to all of us." Hope revealed a moment later which showcased her determination to make the angel pay, not giving a damn if they were up against an angel.
Hope nodded her head with a small smile forming on her lips, knowing that her magic was only gone until she could feed. It made her realize just how much she relied on her magic on a daily basis. She used it more than her werewolf abilities, actually. Being without it made her feel human. While it wasn't a bad thing, it was definitely strange.
"Glad I didn't disappoint then." MG said with a grin locked on his lips. "I got you, girls. I'll help you out. I'll teach you everything that Stefan has taught me so far." MG promised with a small smile forming on his lips. MG took a moment to think about Josie's question for a moment before he released a small hum. "It's definitely not recommended to go twenty-four hours without feeding. I'd say it's best to feed every couple of hours just so that you don't feel thirsty because trust me, everyone starts lookin' real delicious when you get thirsty. It's not a good thing at all." MG pointed out with a breathless chuckle following, having experienced that thirst on multiple occasions. It was definitely not a good feeling. Hope nodded her head a few times in an understanding manner, keeping a mental note of that.
Hope felt a small smile touch the corner of her lips at Josie's words. "When am I ever not?" Hope asked in a teasing tone of her voice. She watched Josie talk to her dad, her smile evident on her lips. "Oh, c'mon, I always thought siphoners were pretty dope." Jed spoke up with a small smile forming on his lips. Hope nodded her head in agreement because she definitely thought that Josie's powers were pretty extraordinary, too.
"Oh, yeah. Ben was definitely included when I said us, cause he's one of us now, isn't he?" Jed said with a half-smile forming on his lips.
Hope offered Jack a thankful smile because she did think that Castiel would be an obstacle in their way if he were to know they were plotting to kill his brother or whatever the hell he called that guy. "You are welcome." Jack offered a sincere smile. Hope's attention drifted over to Henrik when she registered his next words. For a second, Hope looked hesitant but it wasn't because they'd be letting her parents know. She didn't want to sleep alone tonight. Not after everything that has taken place. "Okay." Hope said with a nod of her head, offering her uncle a small smile before her attention drifted over to Josie. "Do you wanna come over? If your parents are okay with it, that is? And if that's what you want."

“I thought you might say that,” Ben grinned as Jed changed his mind about wishing he could sniff out supernaturals. Ben knew that for him he wouldn’t have wanted to know because then he would have constantly been aware of just how many people were around him who were capable of killing him because of his curse but he knew that it was different for Jed. He hadn’t had that to worry about but there was still something to be said for being able to do things on your own terms. There were plenty of people out there who were supernatural who didn’t want anyone knowing what they were and Ben knew that it was a good thing that they had some privacy. Seeing the way Jed started to smile was enough to have a half smile tugging at the corner of Ben’s mouth as he looked over at his boyfriend. “What are you thinking about?” he asked, unable to deny that he was curious about what had Jed smiling like that all of a sudden. As Jed asked what he should do to escape him, Ben’s smile turned into a grin. “Nothing. It’s too late for you, you’re a goner,” he teased. He was only messing around of course but he was certain that Jed would know that. Ben had never felt like this before so he knew that if anything he was the goner and truth be told he knew that he wouldn’t be able to leave Jed behind even if he tried. Somehow the guy had stolen Ben’s heart and he knew that he wouldn’t have it any other way now. “We’re okay, don’t worry,” Ric assured them quickly as Jed said it wouldn’t be a burden. He and Jenna had others they could confide in and they always had each other so he didn’t want the kids to worry. As Jed rolled his eyes, Ben couldn’t help but laugh. “Remind me why I put up with you again?” he chuckled, nudging Jed’s arm playfully with his own. Ben hadn’t expected that kind of reaction from Jed even though he was only teasing, it had just surprised Ben to hear that Ric and Jenna thought of him as one of the kids although truth be told he wasn’t sure that was a bad thing. “Thanks guys. We’ll let you know if we need to talk but don’t forget that we have each other as well,” Ric said before leaning forward and pressing a gentle kiss to the top of Jenna’s head. “I thought you might be,” Ben admitted, a smile touching his lips as he heard Jed’s stomach grumble pretty much straight away. It had been a long day and they had all been through so much so Ben knew that it would probably do the two of them some good to take it easy and get something to eat. Looking up as Jenna offered to make something for them, Ben offered her a gentle smile. “Thanks to Josie and Hope we will be now, they found a way to stop the monsters coming after me,” Ben said, holding up his wrist to show the bracelet before sending a grateful smile in the direction of the two girls. As Jed said he could stay over if he wanted to, Ben’s smile widened. “I’d love to, you know I’d wake up next to you every morning if I could,” he said with a nod. Ever since that first night they’d stayed together he had found that he loved waking up next to Jed in the mornings. He had never been the sleepover kind of guy since Ashur died but with Jed there was no doubt in his mind that he wanted to stay with him whenever he could. “To be honest I’m not sure I want to be around strangers right now,” he admitted, his mind drifting back to the crocotta that had killed him only a few hours ago. “A meal at yours sounds perfect.”JED SALTZMAN

Josie hadn’t even wanted to think about what it would be like to have to wake up in the morning and go to class, she wasn’t sure if anyone had seen the boys carry her and Hope through the school but even if they hadn’t done she knew that it wouldn’t be long before word got out and that was something that she wasn’t sure that she was ready to face just yet. She knew that she was going to have to explain what had happened to Lizzie and the rest of her family who weren’t here and she knew that they were going to have to tell the rest of their friends as well. That was going to be bad enough without having to face everyone else as well and if she was honest Josie knew that she wanted to take some time to get used to being a heretic before she faced too many people. It didn’t take long for Josie to realise that Hope was lost in thought about something as well and she offered Hope a small smile in return. As she revealed that she was thinking about Ben’s father, Josie took her girlfriend’s hand and gave it a gentle squeeze. “He caught us off guard, we’ve never come across an angel before but we’ll do our research and next time we’ll not only be better prepared but we’ll be at full strength with the rest of the squad,” Josie said gently. She needed to believe that, Ben’s father had taken her life along with Hope’s so easily and she knew that she didn’t want the angel doing that to anyone else. “Josie’s right, things will be different next time and we have his blade as well,” Ben said, nodding in the direction of the weapon his father had used to kill Hope. “That will definitely come in handy, it’s one of the few weapons that can kill an angel,” Henrik chimed in, a shudder running through him as the image of one of the angels that had come for him running Olivia through with a blade just like that played in his mind. “You guys don’t have to do this on your own, we’re here for whatever you need,” Ric added, needing them to know that they were there for them. “You didn’t,” Josie grinned as MG said he was glad he didn’t disappoint. She had known that they would be able to count on him and Josie’s expression turned thoughtful for a moment as she wondered if perhaps they should involve Raf as well. He had been doing his best to stay in control ever since he killed Landon and she had a feeling that he would like helping them get their heads around some of the things that he had learnt since they’d convinced him to stay. “I knew we could count on you, thanks MG,” Josie said, offering him a smile as he said that he would teach them everything that Stefan had taught him so far. Hope had most of her family who could help her with this as well and Josie knew that she had Elena she could turn to but she knew that she didn’t want to bother her too much unless she had to. As MG said it was best to feed every couple of hours and not to go a whole day without feeding, Josie nodded. “I had no idea it was that bad,” she admitted although she knew that she was definitely going to try and make sure that she didn’t get to that point. “I don’t think you really want me to answer that,” Josie teased as Hope asked when she was ever not right, her smile playful as she looked over at her girlfriend. Josie was glad that her dad seemed happy to increase their training sessions, he had been teaching her to fight for a while now but the truth was that she hadn’t thought that she was very good at it and she had never had to do too much of it because she was one of the few in their group who didn’t have the benefit of supernatural healing. Now it was different, though, and Josie knew that she didn’t want to be dead weight any longer. As Jed spoke, Josie’s expression softened as she looked over at him. “You have to say that, you’re my brother,” she said, a smile touching her lips in return. “Thank you though, I do appreciate it.”As Jed spoke again, Josie nodded. “Ben has been one of us pretty much ever since he got here. I just meant that we’re not just going to make his father pay for everything that he has done today, we’re going to make him pay for the torture he has put Ben through as well,” she clarified, as she looked from Jed to Ben and back again. “We look after our own, you know that.”Josie wasn’t entirely sure what had happened with Castiel but she was pretty sure that she could guess if the way the others had wanted to keep what they were planning a secret from him was anything to go by. Jack seemed happy to keep it to himself anyway and for that she was truly grateful. Looking over at Henrik as he said that they should probably get Hope home, Josie could see the way her girlfriend hesitated before agreeing. Truth be told Josie had been just about to ask Hope if she wanted to join them back at her place before Henrik had spoken but it wasn’t long before Hope was asking if she wanted to come over and Josie nodded straight away. “It’s definitely what I want, I don’t want to leave you alone tonight,” she admitted gently. Truth be told she was a little nervous about what would happen when the rest of Hope’s family learned what had happened but her concern for her girlfriend won without question. “Mom, dad, do you mind if I go over to Hope’s?”HOPE MIKAELSON

– I freed myself from words never said –
Jed felt a soft smile appear on his lips at Ben's words as he nodded his head a few times because, in hindsight, it didn't sound like such a great idea to be able to sniff them out. It would just ruin the whole element of surprise. When Ben caught him smiling, his expression turned into a thoughtful one at first almost as if debating how he could tell Ben what he was thinking about without sounding absolutely creepy. "Well, I was just thinkin' about what you would smell like if I could actually sniff supernatural creatures out," Jed revealed with a brief chuckle falling from his lips. He could see the odd look on MG's face as he stared at him incredulously. He ignored him completely in favor of bringing his attention back to Ben. "I was thinking you’d smell — I dunno, holy, I guess. Divine.” Jed added a moment later with the same half-smile resting on his lips still.
Jed chuckled at Ben’s words before he nodded his head in agreement because he was definitely a goner for his boyfriend. “I can’t say you’re not right about that.” He pointed out a moment later, his smile still evident on his lips. When his dad assured him that they were okay, he nodded his head slowly, choosing to trust them to talk to him if they needed to. “Because you love me, of course.” Jed offered back with a grin resting on his lips as his eyes moved to settle on Ben again. “And because I’m absolutely adorable.” He pointed out a moment later, his grin still visible on his lips. “Aw, that’s really adorable, you guys.” Jed offered when Ric pointed out that they have each other. Jenna returned the kiss and chuckled at Jed's words. “Okay then, as long as you guys are sure, I’ll stop annoying you about this,” Jed said with a nod of his head following.
Jed seemed pretty excited about the offer to eat something. His expression softened when his mom offered to make them something to eat. “They did? Oh, my smart girls. I knew they could do it.” Jenna said with a genuine smile on her lips, feeling relieved to hear that Ben no longer had to worry about being chased by monsters wherever he went. “In this case, you can come home with me, then,” Jed said with a soft smile resting on his lips. He nodded his head in an understanding manner. “Okay, perfect.” Jed’s soft voice soon made itself known.
