– I freed myself from words never said –
"Sorry." Jed offered back, but from the way he was smiling, it was clear that he was anything but apologetic. He was definitely having a fun time teasing Ben like that. "That's good. That makes me really happy." Jed said with a soft smile tugging at the corner of his lips. "And you know, I honestly don't blame you for the outlook that you used to have when it comes to, well, life. You weren't given much to look forward to. You were hurt so many times and not to mention your curse makes it hard to look forward to tomorrow, so it's okay, really. I don't blame you at all." Jed's voice was soft as he spoke, meaning every word. When Ben told him that he liked Jed 2.0, it made him release a chuckle. "That's good to hear." Jed had tried his hardest to be different from the past version of himself because that version only existed because he was raised to be that way but after getting used to the Saltzman family, he came to the realization that there was no need for him to be like that. He could be his own person and that definitely helped him change.
Jed's expression softened as he listened to Ben talk about his family. It really did mean a lot to him to know that they had already started seeing him as a member of their family when they took him in. He saw them as his own family too, as it was clear to him from the way he had already called Ric 'dad' and had almost called Jenna his 'mom'. "I do." Jed said with a soft smile forming on his lips, knowing that he was never going to take their presence in his life for granted. Especially not after seeing for himself what it was like to have a family that didn't care for his well-being. He knew how rare a good family was and he'd be an idiot to take something like this for granted. When Ben told him that he liked the sound of his new name, Jed's expression brightened as he nodded his head in agreement with Ben because he thought that it suited him, too.
Jed felt the way Ben's hand moved to rest on his chest and he knew that the other could feel the way his heart was beating so rapidly. He hoped that feeling the rapid beating of his heart could give Ben the comfort that he needed to know that Jed was okay and alive.
Jed's eyes met Ben's when he asked him if he was sure about his decision. His expression softened at Ben's next words before he shook his head with a soft smile resting on his lips. "I'm absolutely sure." Jed responded in a soft voice. "I could never regret something like this." Jed placed his hand on top of the hand that Ben had on his chest. "I want you, Ben."

"No you're not," Ben chuckled as Jed said he was sorry. The look on his face said otherwise and it was a look that Ben knew all too well. He knew that Jed didn't mean it but the truth was that Ben didn't mind one bit, in fact he actually found it incredibly cute. Jed liked to tease him at times but Ben liked to do the same so it worked out well for both of them. "That's the affect you have on me," Ben said, a smile touching his lips as he looked over at Jed. As Jed spoke again it was obvious that he understood, Ben didn't even have to explain why he'd had trouble staying positive Jed just got it and it was enough to make Ben love him that much more if that was even possible. "You're right, my curse has made it difficult to look forward to anything because it has always been the same but now I have a future to look forward to and that's all because of you," he said gently. "You really are changing everything for me," he added, knowing that it was true. For the first time in as long as he could remember he had something to look forward to and he knew that he was never going to get enough of that. As Jed said it was good to hear that he liked this version of him, Ben felt his smile return. "This version of you is pretty incredible." Ben knew that he was perhaps a little biased but the truth was that he really didn't care. He loved Jed and that wasn't going to change. For the first time things seemed to be falling into place for both of them and Ben knew that he wouldn't have it any other way. Jed had his family and his pack, they both had friends and they both had each other. When Ben had decided to head to Mystic Falls he hadn't known that he would end up finding any of this, he had hoped that he might find someone at long last who could help him break his curse but instead he had found something so much more. He still wanted to break the curse because he didn't even want to think about something like that happening to Jed again but now he had someone worth living and dying for and that was something that he hadn't had before. He might not have found a family in Mystic Falls like Jed had but he still had more than he'd ever had before and he knew that he never wanted to give any of them up, least of all Jed. Ben wasn't even completely paying attention to what he was doing as he brought his hand up and let it rest against Jed's heart but the beating of his heart was enough to bring Ben more comfort than he had even known he had needed. Jed was okay and he was alive and Ben knew that he didn't want to waste a moment of their time together. He hadn't expected Jed to tell him that he was ready to take the next step but then again Jed seemed to be full of surprises today. He'd pushed Ben out of the way when the dragon had attacked, he had told him he loved him and that he was thinking of becoming a hybrid, and now this. It was a lot to take in but Ben knew that right now he had so much and he wasn't going to take that for granted. All Ben could do was listen as Jed said that he was sure he was ready and that he would never regret something like this. It was a big step but then again they had both admitted how they felt about each other now and Jed had died to protect him so Ben knew that it didn't get any bigger than that. Ben turned his hand and gave Jed's hand a gentle squeeze as Jed rested his hand over his. Ben couldn't deny that he was surprised as Jed said that he wanted him but it was enough to have Ben's heart leaping in his chest. "I want you too, I have since the day I met you," he admitted, knowing that he didn't need to hold anything back with Jed. Leaning forward, Ben's free hand rested against the back of Jed's neck as he kissed Jed passionately. "I love you," he breathed as he connected their lips again, his hands moving down to the hem of Jed's shirt so he could lift it up over his head. JED SALTZMAN

– I freed myself from words never said –
Jed's lips stretched into a grin when Ben called him out on not being apologetic. "Maybe not." He said with a chuckle falling from his lips not long after. Jed's expression softened as he listened to Ben explain that his curse had made it difficult to look forward to anything and Jed didn't blame him in the slightest. Though when he told him that now he has a future to look forward to made his heart flutter as a smile stretched Jed's lips almost instantly. "You are changing everything for me too." Jed said in a soft voice, his eyes still focused solely on Ben. "Thank you." It was definitely years in progress but Jed was finally comfortable with himself at last.
Today had proven to be one of those days where it was hard to predict what was going to happen next. When the day started out for Jed, he didn't think he was going to end it with him standing in front of the flames, sacrificing himself so that Ben wouldn't have to suffer through yet another death. He didn't want Ben to suffer because he meant so much to him. Then, Ben had brought him back to life and it was like the universe had given him yet another chance and this time, he wasn't going to screw it up.
So, when they went back to Jed's dorm room, he told Ben how he felt for him. He told him that he loved him because he wanted Ben to hear it from him. The other had confessed his feelings to him earlier but at the time, Jed was too focused on the disappointment he felt when Ben revealed that he had been going out on his own to get killed and then he'd come back to the school so he didn't say it back. But now, now he was ready and then Ben told him that it had been pretty obvious that he loved Ben when he willingly put himself in front of the flames for Ben.
Then, he did the third bravest thing by admitting that he wanted Ben. It just felt right and Jed was no longer scared or hesitant about taking the second step in their relationship. If anything, he was eager. Jed's heart fluttered when Ben told him that he had wanted him from the first day that they met. He felt his blush return to his cheeks, the confession making his heart leap in the most pleasant way possible.
Jed closed the gap between the two of them when Ben placed his hand against the back of his neck and almost immediately, their lips brushed together again which made him release a soft sigh against Ben's lips, having already missed the way his lips felt against his own. "I love you too." Jed said against Ben's lips before their lips reconnected again which made his heart nearly leap out of his chest. Jed kissed Ben with burning passion and momentarily chased after his lips when Ben leaned back, but then he stopped when he realized that Ben wanted to get his shirt off. Jed helped by raising his arms so that he could smoothly take his shirt off. Jed reconnected their lips once again before his own hands moved to grasp the material of Ben's shirt, wanting it off. Jed disconnected their lips to give Ben some room to take off his shirt. "How in the world do you look like that? You're so..." Jed didn't conclude his sentence and instead let his lips speak for him as he leaned forward to reconnect their lips again.

"It's lucky I don't mind," Ben grinned as Jed agreed that he wasn't really apologetic. Ben had known that anyway so the truth was that he didn't mind one bit. Right from the start they had taken to teasing each other and messing around and the banter was one of his favourite things. It had taken Ben some time to get used to having people in his life who knew about his curse and genuinely wanted to stick around, he'd had friends in the past that he'd kept the truth from and there were other people who had agreed to help him because he had agreed to do something for them in return but this time was different. Now he had people in his life he cared about and the future was looking brighter than it ever had before. "I wish I knew why you affect me so much but I wouldn't even know where to start," Ben admitted. Out of everyone that he had met no one had ever affected him the way Jed did, not even Ashur, so no matter what had happened or how long he'd had to wait he knew that it was worth it. "It took me thousands of years to find you but you were definitely worth the wait," he said gently, a smile touching his lips as his eyes met Jed's. Ben hadn't wanted Jed to give up his life for him, in fact he'd kept what he was doing a secret so that Jed wouldn't end up getting hurt, but he should have known that he wouldn't be able to keep that up for long. Jed had made the ultimate sacrifice to save him even though Ben would have been resurrected after he died and Ben knew that he wasn't going to do anything to make Jed regret that decision. He was done with keeping things from Jed, his intentions had been good but he knew now that he should have trusted Jed with what he was doing and believed that he would make the right decision in the end. Now they had another chance and Ben knew that he wasn't going to mess it up. He still had no idea how he had tapped into his power and brought Jed back but Jed was here now and that really was all that mattered. Being alone with Jed now in the dorm room he used whenever he stayed at the school over the full moon, Ben couldn't help but feel like his broken heart had healed now that Jed was back. Seeing the events unfold earlier that day had broken something inside of him but now it felt like nothing more than a memory already. Jed was here and he was very much alive, so much so that Ben could feel every flutter of Jed's heart underneath his hand and it was enough to bring a smile to Ben's lips every time. He had promised Jed that he wouldn't keep anything from him again but even so he had wondered if perhaps he was being a little too forward when he told Jed that he'd wanted him ever since that very first day but Jed didn't pull away from him and Ben brought his hand up to let the backs of his fingers run lightly over Jed's cheek as he blushed, his own heart fluttering at how cute it was. Soon enough Jed was closing the gap between them once more and Ben found himself getting lost in the kiss. Every so often they had to catch their breath and as Jed said that he loved him too, Ben felt a smile touch his lips. "I know," he said gently. Jed really had showed that he loved him that day and Ben knew that he would never forget it. As the kiss intensified Ben let his instincts take over and his hands started lifting Jed's shirt off. For a moment Jed leaned forward as Ben leaned back but then he seemed to realise what Ben wanted and he helped remove his shirt before their lips met once more and he threw Jed's shirt onto the floor. "You're beautiful," Ben breathed, his eyes taking in the sight of Jed without his shirt on for the first time before Jed started tugging Ben's shirt off as well and Ben was quick to help him. For a moment Ben was intrigued about what Jed was going to say but then their lips met once more and all was forgotten, his hands roaming over Jed's chest as they kissed. He wasn't sure how long passed before he had to catch his breath again but he leaned back slightly as he tried to do just that. "If you want to stop at any time let me know, like you said this doesn't have to happen tonight," Ben said gently, knowing that even if all they did was make out again he would be happy. JED SALTZMAN

– I freed myself from words never said –
Jed couldn't help the chuckle that fell from his lips. "Oh, c'mon, as if you could ever get upset at me. Look at this adorable face." He pointed to his face, the grin still present on his lips. Ben's next words were more than enough to make his heart flutter. "Honestly, I feel the exact same way about you, too." Ben affected him in ways he had never felt before. There was just something about him that absolutely drove Jed wild. He was completely and utterly consumed by Ben and he had no doubt in his mind that nothing was ever going to change that. Jed's expression softened at Ben's words, feeling his lips stretch to form a genuine smile as he ducked his head down, unable to meet Ben's eyes for a second or two but it was obvious from the way he was smiling that Ben's words affected him in the most positive way possible.
Jed’s expression softened when Ben told him that he knew that Jed loved him. He knew that his actions spoke a lot better than his own actions and tonight had proved to Ben just how much Jed loved him. He felt a soft smile tug at the corner of his lips when Ben’s compliment reached his ears. It definitely made his heart speed up in a way he didn’t expect. He came to the realisation that being complimented by Ben was definitely one of the things that he loved the most. Jed didn’t feel uncomfortable under Ben’s gaze. If anything, he just felt a little shy because it was his first time without a shirt in Ben’s presence. But the compliment that he received definitely helped calm his rapidly beating heart. “Thank you. You’re beautiful, too.” And it wasn’t an empty compliment, he definitely meant that. Jed had been shocked by Ben’s beauty when he first laid his eyes on the other. There was just something so striking about him that always captured Jed’s attention, no matter where he was standing.
Jed’s own eyes took in the way that Ben looked without a shirt. It wasn’t his first time seeing Ben shirtless but he could feel his own brain beginning to freeze again because there was no way someone could ever look this hot. Jed was overwhelmed by Ben’s beauty and it definitely showed in the way he couldn’t even finish his sentence properly before he finally leaned forward to reconnect their lips again after what felt like years. Jed’s own hand moved to rest on Ben’s chest, mimicking the way Ben had touched him. He had felt sparks when he felt Ben’s hand on his bare skin. It left behind the kind of tingles that made him want more. Jed released a soft groan at the realisation that he was finally touching Ben like he had always wanted as his own hand started moving as if they had adapted a mind of their own. When the kiss came to an end, Jed took that break to get his breathing under control again as his eyes relaxed on Ben once again, his words making his lips stretch to form a soft smile. “Of course. You should also do the same. If at any time you want to stop, we’ll stop. No hard feelings. What matters to me is making you feel comfortable.” Jed’s voice was a little raspy as he spoke. “But just know that there’s a very, very low possibility of me asking you to stop. Actually, a nonexistent possibility. I’m crazy about you, Ben. I’ve wanted you for so long.” Jed admitted as he reached his hand to let it gently rest against Ben’s cheek, letting his thumb gently rub his cheek before he drew him forward for a kiss yet again before he moved forward to lay Ben on his bed before he climbed on top of him, careful not to ruin the moment by hurting him as he kissed him with passion. tag: BEN LOWELL

"Even if I could get upset at you I don't think I'd ever be able to stay that way for long," Ben chuckled. "Good thing you weren't able to stay mad at me for too long either." He knew that there was absolutely no way that he would be able to stay mad at Jed for long at all and after what had happened earlier he was pretty sure that Jed felt the same. "It feels like everything has been leading up to meeting you. You make all the pain worth it," he said gently, meaning every word. He knew that it might sound strange but Ben had come close to not being able to say that to Jed and he knew that he didn't want to miss that chance again. He loved Jed, there wasn't a doubt in his mind about that, and now he knew that it had all been worth it to be able to meet him. Ben hadn't thought that he would ever find someone who could make him feel the way Jed did but now that he had found him he knew that he didn't want to lose him again like he had briefly earlier that day. Seeing the way Jed looked down when he said that Jed was definitely worth the wait, Ben could see that Jed was smiling but he still hooked a finger under Jed's chin to tilt his head up and he pressed a light kiss to Jed's lips. That night Jed had started off being really angry with him for keeping what he had been doing from him but when Jed had given his life to protect him there really hadn't been a doubt in Ben's mind that it had been done out of love. He hadn't meant to tell Jed that he loved him in the way he had done but the truth was that he didn't regret it, he had needed Jed to know and now he was actually glad that he had been able to tell Jed before he'd died, albeit briefly. Jed hadn't said it back before but Ben had still known although he couldn't deny that now it was good to be able to hear those words come from Jed. Ben could see that Jed was feeling a little shy about being shirtless in front of him for the first time but there really wasn't any need for him to be as far as Ben was concerned. He loved Jed and he really had meant it when he'd said he was beautiful. His heart was already so full of love for Jed and how close they were now was enough to have it pounding away in his chest. As Jed said he was beautiful too, Ben felt a smile touch his lips. "Thanks," he said, unable to deny that he liked hearing those words from Jed. It had surprised Ben a little at first when Jed hadn't finished his sentence but the moment their lips met he forgot all about that. He already knew how tongue tied Jed tended to get around him when he wasn't wearing a shirt, he had seen it the night they had spent together at Jed's place and it didn't look like that had changed just yet. Ben had never seen himself as anything special but he loved the way that Jed saw him and he knew that wasn't going to change. It wasn't long before Jed's hands were on his chest and Ben drew Jed even closer to him, needing there to be as little distance between them in that moment as possible. Hearing Ben groan was enough to have Ben smiling into the kiss and he lost all sense of time as they kissed, only pulling away slightly when he needed to catch his breath. Jed's words were incredibly sweet but Ben knew that they weren't necessary. "There's zero chance that I'll want to stop, I meant it when I said I was happy to wait for as long as you needed but I've been thinking about this for so long," he admitted. Truth be told he had been thinking about it ever since the day he met Jed and those thoughts had only become more frequent since they'd started a relationship. He had been doing his best to be respectful and give Jed all the time he needed, though, but now it looked like Jed really was ready and he really did want this. "I'm crazy about you too," he breathed, leaning into Jed's touch before chasing after his lips for a moment as a quick kiss followed. Moments later Jed was pushing him back down onto the bed, though, and Ben found himself smiling up at Jed. "I could get used to seeing you like this," he grinned, his hand finding Jed's cheek as Jed leaned over him and kissed him passionately. JED SALTZMAN

– I freed myself from words never said –
Jed felt a grin form on his lips when Ben told him that he would never be able to stay angry at him for long. It was definitely that way for Jed, too. He wanted to stay angry at Ben for putting his life on the line so many times like that, for going behind Jed’s back, but how could he? He couldn’t stay angry because he knew that the reason Ben had made the decision was because he didn’t want any of them to get hurt. He wanted to protect them while willingly letting himself get eaten or killed by those monsters. Jed’s expression softened at Ben’s words when he told him that it felt like everything has been leading up to meeting him. “It really does the feel same way for me, too.”
Jed couldn’t believe that their night was turning into something like but of course, Jed had no regrets or any complaints. When Ben assured him that there’s zero chances that he’ll want to stop, Jed felt his heart skip a beat as his expression softened while listening to Ben explain that he’d been thinking about this for so long. He’d been thinking about the two of them getting together like this… Jed gulped past the dry lump in his throat because Ben’s words definitely affected him deeply.
They were crazy for each other, huh?
“Honestly, I have no idea what I’m doing right now.” Jed breathed out with a chuckle falling from his lips when Ben told him he could get used to seeing him like this. “I’m just— doing what feels right. What I’ve always wanted to do.” Jed leaned down to meet Ben halfway as he reconnected their lips together while his other hand moved to grasp Ben’s hand in his own, letting their fingers intertwine as he began gently trailing kisses down Ben’s neck, following his own instincts as he allowed his desire to please Ben take over. tag: BEN LOWELL

Ben had never felt this way about anyone before, with Jed he really couldn’t imagine ever staying mad at him for that long and even though there was a part of him that had wanted to be angry with Jed for giving his life up the way he had done, the truth was that he just hadn’t been able to bring himself to do that. He knew why Jed had done what he had done and the truth was that Ben was just glad that he had been able to bring Jed back. Jed deserved so much and Ben wanted to make sure that he got all of it. Things had finally fallen into place for Jed with his family and even though they’d had a low point earlier that day they had worked through it and now Ben knew that it was time to put that behind them and move on. “I’m so glad it was you that found me that day,” Ben admitted gently. Things would have been so different if it had been anyone else that had found him but he knew that he wouldn’t want his life to be any other way now. After everything that had happened Ben had never thought that their night would end up like this but it felt right to have some time alone with Jed now. Ben knew that Jed’s family would want to see him to make sure that he was alright but right now that was the farthest thing from his mind. All he could think about was Jed and he meant it when he said that there was no chance that he was going to want this. He really had thought about it so many times and he didn’t hesitate in telling Jed that but as he watched Jed gulp, Ben brought his hand up and let it rest against his boyfriend’s cheek. “Are you okay?” he asked gently. As Jed said that he had no idea what he was doing and that he was just doing what he wanted to do, Ben felt a smile touch his lips. “You’re doing great. Don’t worry, I’ll guide you,” he said, his eyes full of love for Jed. Soon enough their lips were connected once more but then Jed was kissing down his neck and a contented sigh escaped Ben’s lips. “I love you,” he breathed, knowing that he was never going to get tired of saying those words now that he had finally admitted how he felt. Without even thinking about it twice he started acting on instinct, his sole focus on Jed and making his first time special.
Sometime later Ben had fallen asleep with Jed resting against him and a smile was fixed on his face as he slept. It was crazy how one person could change everything if it was the right person and he had certainly found that in Jed. By the time Ben started to stir sunlight was already filtering in through the windows and a sigh escaped his lips as the way the night had ended came flooding back to him. Jed was still asleep in his arms and that was enough to have his smile return. Ben knew that he should probably wake Jed since he didn’t doubt that Jed’s family would want to see him but the truth was that Ben didn’t have the heart to wake him when he looked so peaceful so instead he wrapped his arms a little tighter around Jed and watched over him as he slept, glad that the less pleasant events of the night before didn’t seem to have taken too much of a toll on him. “Me too.” Jed replied in a soft voice when Ben told him that he was glad that he had found him that day. He was beyond glad that he had met Ben because he really did mean a lot ot him. He had changed his life for the better and honestly Jed was so used to having him in his life that he had completely forgotten what it was like to live his life without him in it and Jed didn’t want a reminder either.
“Huh? Oh, I’m okay. You just —” Jed’s hand moved up to rest it against the hand that’s on his cheek. “Drive me crazy.” He added a moment later with a half-smile resting on his lips before he leaned forward to reconnect their lips in a deep kiss. When Ben assured him that he’ll guide him, he sent him a thankful smile before he nodded his head, appreciative of the fact that Ben was going to help him. “I love you too.” He murmured softly against the skin of his neck and from there, Jed allowed himself to get consumed by Ben, pouring his heart and everything into their first time together.
Jed felt himself stir in his sleep when that comforting embrace held him a little tighter. His eyes fluttered open slowly and for a few moments, he allowed himself to blink past the cloudiness in front of his eyes. His eyes relaxed on Ben almost right after, his lips stretching to form an instant smile at the sight of him. “Hey.” He greeted him, his voice still raspy with sleep. “This is a nice way to wake up.” Jed added a moment later with the same smile still resting on his lips as he held onto Ben a little tighter. “G’morning.” Jed leaned forward to leave a quick kiss on Ben’s cheek as a greeting as well. Or well, he did it because he felt like doing it. tag: BEN LOWELL

Ben knew that he had missed out on a lot while he had been living on the outskirts of society rather than being a part of it but he hadn’t really appreciated just how good life could be if he let people get close to him. Right from the start he’d found himself attracted to Jed and that had never changed, it had only grown stronger. Now he didn’t want to even think about what his life might have been like if Jed hadn’t been the one to find him that day and as Jed said he was glad as well, Ben knew that he wouldn’t be surprised if it was the same for Jed. One encounter had changed everything for both of them. As Jed said that he drove him crazy, Ben felt a smile touch his lips. “It’s only fair since you do the same to me,” he grinned, his hand still resting against Jed’s cheek as their lips met again. Ben knew that Jed hadn’t don’t anything like this before so he was more than happy to take it slow and guide Jed through it. He wanted Jed’s first time to be a good experience rather than a bad one and he already had a few ideas in mind about how he could do that. As Jed said he loved him too, Ben’s breath caught in his throat and from there he let his instincts take over pouring everything he had into each kiss that followed and losing himself completely in their first time together.
He really hadn’t wanted to disturb Jed when he looked so peaceful but Jed soon began to stir anyway and Ben found himself smiling back at Jed. “Hey you,” he said, bringing a hand up and brushing Jed’s hair away from his face gently. “It really is, I could get used to this,” he admitted, knowing that waking up with Jed in his arms like this was never going to be a bad thing. “I always sleep better when you’re with me.” That was something that Ben had been noticing ever since that night they’d spent together at Jed’s house and it still felt true now. “Good morning,” Ben said, hooking a finger under Jed’s chin so he could press a light kiss to his lips. “How are you feeling, are you okay?” he asked, hoping that Jed would be honest with him. “No regrets?” he added even though from how happy Jed looked right now he was pretty sure that he already knew the answer to that question. – I freed myself from words never said –
Jed never thought he'd meet someone like Ben. He was pulled straight out of Jed's wildest dreams. He had a way with words that drove Jed absolutely wild. Jed was pretty happy that Ben had been his first time because it was perfect. It was everything that Jed had wanted and more. He couldn't bring himself to pull away from him. Their first time had been both passionate and new and it was everything Jed needed and more.
Jed's lips stretched to form a soft smile when Ben brushed his hair away from his face, the gesture itself felt really nice. "You know, you're welcome to sleep next to me whenever you want." Jed said with a soft smile tugging at the corner of his lips. "I enjoy sleeping next to you too, honestly." Jed didn't know he was a cuddler until he met Ben and slept next to him. Jed responded to the kiss, easily kissing Ben back, enjoying the way his lips felt against his own as he released a soft sigh. "I'm okay. Actually, I'm great." Jed told him in a soft voice as his eyes relaxed on Ben. "The only regret that I have is not doing this sooner." Jed pointed out with a chuckle falling from his lips not long after. "What about you?" Jed asked in a soft voice, his eyes focused solely on Ben as he waited for his answer even though he pretty much knew the answer to it already.

Ben knew just how lucky he was to have found Jed, he had been alive for five thousand years and he had never found anyone else who made him feel the way Jed did, not even Ashur had come close. This was still so new and so incredible and Jed knew that he never wanted it to end. Ben would be lying if he said he hadn't felt a little nervous, he had done that before but Jed hadn't and it had been their first time together so Ben's whole focus had been on Jed and making it special for him and he had tried not to hurt him in any way. As it was it had ended up being so much better than Ben had ever thought it would be and he hoped that Jed felt the same. Ben had thought about it so many times but nothing had even come close. "Be careful what you wish for because you might end up losing this side of your bed permanently," Ben grinned, knowing that he would quite happily wake up next to Jed every morning if he could. "The same goes for you though, any time you want me there just let me know," he added, trailing the backs of his fingers over Jed's cheek in a featherlight touch. Ben had never stayed the whole night with anyone since Ashur but with Jed there was something so comforting about being able to wake up next to him like this. He had never been a cuddler before Jed but with him it felt so natural and Ben knew that he wouldn't have it any other way. "You are?" he asked, a smile touching Ben's lips as he looked up at Jed. "I really wanted you to enjoy last night." Ben knew that it could be nerve wracking but Jed's happiness was what mattered most to him. As Jed said his only regret was not having done it sooner, Ben's smile widened. "Now who has a way with words?" he grinned, stealing another kiss because in that moment he just couldn't get enough of the taste of Jed's lips. "I'm great, last night was incredible," he admitted gently. "It was so much better than I ever thought it would be." He had known it would be great but that was something else. "I could quite happily stay here with you all day," he added even though he knew that they wouldn't actually be able to do that. JED SALTZMAN

– I freed myself from words never said –
Jed let out a chuckle at Ben's words before his shoulders lifted and dropped in a quick shrug. "No complaints from me, I can hog either side with no issues." Jed said with a chuckle falling from his lips not long after. The thought of Ben sleeping next to him, again and again, was definitely enough to paint a smile on his lips. He definitely liked the thought a lot. "Yeah, of course. Actually, hold on. I just realized something. You don't have a phone. We really need to change that, just in case I wanna reach you about something or wanna invite you over for dinner." Jed pointed out as he lifted his hand to rub the sleep from his eyes before his hand was soon resting on Ben's chest.
"I am." Jed said with a soft smile tugging at his lips already. "Oh, I definitely did." He had wanted the same thing too and he knew that Ben had enjoyed last night with him, or else he would have said something. "Yesterday was definitely something else." The soft smile was still visible on his lips. "I learned from the best." Jed said with a grin forming on his lips.
Jed felt a new type of fondness as he listened to the way Ben described the night before. It definitely filled him with a new type of relief. "That makes me really happy." Jed leaned forward to press a gentle kiss on Ben's lips before he leaned back to look at him properly. "Yeah, honestly, me too. But I have a feeling that my parents are gonna knock on our door very soon, so, do you wanna take a shower?"

“In that case we should do this more often,” Ben chuckled, knowing that he certainly wouldn’t argue if they were able to. It didn’t even matter whether they only ended up sleeping next to each other or whether anything more happened, last night had been incredible and Ben knew that he wanted to do that again but he also knew that he would settle for being able to wake up next to Jed like this more often. “You’re right, we probably should. I’ll need you to teach me how to use it though,” Ben admitted. He’d never had a phone before, he’d never had anyone to use it to contact and even if he had then there wouldn’t have been much point since chances were that it would have been destroyed if he died with it on him. Now was different though, now he had people he wanted to stick around for and he knew that it would be good for them to have a way to get in touch with him and vice versa even though he was pretty sure that it would be Jed who would end up contacting him most. As Jed rubbed the sleep from his eyes before resting his hand against Ben’s chest, a smile touched Ben’s lips and he brought his hand up so he could lace their fingers together. Hearing that Jed had enjoyed last night was enough to have a smile touching Ben’s lips. That was all he had wanted and he really was glad that Jed seemed so happy. Ben knew how nervous Jed had been when the topic had come up before but those nerves had disappeared last night and for that he really was glad. “It really was,” he agreed as Jed said that yesterday was something else. “We should definitely do that again,” he said, bringing his free hand up and tracing light patterns over Jed’s shoulder. As Jed said he’d learned from the best about having a way with words, Ben couldn’t help but laugh. “I can’t take all the credit, you’re a quick learner,” he chuckled. As Jed said it made him really happy, Ben felt a smile touch his lips. “Being with you is always incredible,” Ben assured him gently as he kissed Jed back, meaning every word. Ben had never been in love like this before, there were times when it was all consuming and that scared him a little but at the same time he knew that he wouldn’t want it any other way. “I forgot about that, I’m actually surprised they didn’t show up last night,” Ben admitted before manoeuvring himself out of the bed and holding both hands out to Jed to help him up as well. “I do but only if you’ll join me,” he said, a smile touching his lips as he looked over at Jed. Jed felt a smile touch his lips as he nodded his head in agreement with Ben. He would definitely love to sleep next to Ben often because that also meant waking up next to him and Jed was definitely looking forward to that. "Yeah, totally. It's pretty easy." Jed said with a half-smile resting on his lips. "If old people can learn how to use it, so can you." Jed joked in a light-hearted voice. "I'm kidding." He added a moment later with a chuckle falling from his lips.
Jed's lips spread into a grin when Ben told him that they should definitely do it again. He couldn't help but nod his head in agreement with him almost straight away. "I'd love that." Jed responded almost immediately. While the situation at home might not always give them the best privacy, they could still find some kind of privacy here and that was definitely good enough for Jed. "Oh, why thank you." Jed let out a soft chuckle when Ben called him a quick learner. "I can be very focused when my teacher is an unbelievably hot guy." Jed teased in a light-hearted voice. It was crazy to think about how yesterday he had died and returned back to life and it was all thanks to Ben. Everything felt normal again but that reminder still came by every now and then to remind him that life was incredibly short. Even shorter for mortal beings.
"Being with you is pretty damn incredible for me, too." Jed said with a soft smile tugging at the corner of his lips. "Also, if you don't stop sweet-talking me, that second time is definitely happening very soon and we need to get out of the bed, not sink deeper into it." Jed said with a chuckle falling from his lips, knowing that from now on resisting Ben might just get a lot harder for Jed. "Honestly, same here." Jed hated worrying them, but everything had happened so fast and Jed still felt no regrets. Jed's expression softened as he reached to grasp Ben's hands in his own, finally getting out of bed. "As if I could ever say no to you." Jed said with a chuckle falling from his lips. He began making his way to his own private bathroom where he and Ben took a much-needed shower. Once they were done, he handed Ben an extra towel and grabbed his own towel to dry himself. He left a quick kiss on Ben's cheek before he began making his way out of his bathroom so he could make his way to his wardrobe to look for something to wear and upon finding something, he took it out and laid it on the bed before he pulled out another outfit for Ben. "Do you wanna try this? Hopefully, it won't be too restricting."
