I am so sorry this is late. We could do a bit of a mixture of the two perhaps? Ric could always break up a fight between Ryan and another student and then pull him to one side to find out what the fight was about and speak to him about why he isn't doing as well as he could be?

I think we discussed maybe doing something between these two on Skype.
Perhaps we could combine something to do with Gabriel's investigation into the town's past with something a little more social. Gabriel's certain, like most, that the town's history of animal attacks is cover for something. He's not much of an investigative journalist but with a little nudge from the angel in his head, Gabriel's started to dig and would probably figure the town's history teacher might have a little inside knowledge of the town's past. We could either go with Gabriel finding out who Ric is by chance at the Grill and using the opportunity to question him a little, or have it a little more planned and he tries to set up an appointment to do the same thing, which leads to another bromance for Ric.

We did, yeah. I think either could work although perhaps a chat over a drink might be a bit easier? Ric will still be careful about what he says because he knows it wouldn't be a good idea for too many people to find out the truth but if he finds out about the angel at some point or Gabriel finds out some other way and goes to him looking for answers he might be a little more open.

A chat over a drink would totally work too.  It'd give the two of them a bit of an introduction to one another and then we could develop the other stuff later. Gabriel's trip to the hospital is going to start making him think something else is going on in his head rather than insanity or a brain tumour, so he's going to be pushing to work that out at the same time as investigating what the hell is going on in town.

I'm definitely up for that! Ric could have even picked him up from the airport if you like Before Jenna was reopened she and Ric were together but now I haven't quite worked out what to do with him. I imagine he will be staying at his own place for now although that could easily change if we decide to kill Jenna off. Either way I think he would have known about Jeremy's compulsion and he perhaps could have visited Jeremy a few times while he was away to check in and see how he was doing?

So we'll go with Ric picking Jeremy up from the airport and then maybe they can talk and get something to eat on the drive home? I think Ric would definitely be suspicious but he would try and figure out what is going on himself rather than confronting Jere about it. I'm definitely up for killing off Jenna too, I loved the bond that formed between Ric and the kids after that  Do you want me to start something with Ric picking Jeremy up and then go from there or would you rather start with a thread after Jeremy has been back in Mystic Falls for a couple of days?

We definitely do I like the idea of them meeting at a bar first actually, I think that would be fun. We could always work Ric getting hit by a car in although under different circumstances than in the show but as a starting point I think them having a few drinks together could be fun, perhaps they could have even bumped into each other a couple of times maybe and then strike up a conversation when they meet on a night out? That way they would recognise each other and know a little about one another but not too much.
