MY SOUL IS A CANVAS LET ME SPEAK TO YOU IN COLORS
The moment she had fell forward and the heels of her hands bit into the rocky brimstone beneath her fingers, they dug into the soil. Her lungs and chest burned as she gasped for air. Tendrils of her auburn hair veiling her face in a fiery glow emanating from the flames that were engulfing her. Her emotions were on high as she slowly drew her glass green eyes up to watch the elder male turn his attention back to Azazel. The man who wished they call Papa. The demon that didn't want to take away her powers because she did not want them, the thing to which preyed upon the desperation of others. Fed into their insecurities, their uncertainty. An angry expression came across her face as she pushed herself to her feet slowly. Wincing at the sliced foot she was standing on before she glanced over her shoulder. Taking notice that a few were already dead.
Before her eyes fell upon Greta and Adam, wasting no time as the elder male and the demon were distracted with each other. Terra limped her way first to the brunette, Lightly curling her hand around her petite upper arm. Yanking her to her feet before she drew herself toward Adam, placing her hands upon his shoulders as she helped him to his feet. "It's now or never, we have to get out of here. While they are distracted... you heard them... they are bargaining our lives to spare the one that saved us." She whispered loudly to them as she drew her gaze toward the dirty blonde male that was unconscious upon the ground.
Before she let her gaze fall upon Ryan, almost as if she could feel his contempt the same as she about trusting the demon that had brought them there in the first place. Azazel wouldn't bring them back, he didn't seem the type to be bound by his word. Granted Terra knew very little about Demons but there was a reason why they were the most hated in almost every lore. They weren't to be trusted... especially when it seemed from the elder male they were being used to bring forth Lucifer. It didn't sit well for Terra and it felt as if someone was pushing her to get out of there. To live. The feeling was warm, calming even as she released her hands away from Adam's shoulders. Twisting around to keep her attention toward the demon and the male.
"Get out of here, okay?" She spoke to both Greta and Adam, her green eyes looking between the two, before the heat waves began to slowly roll off her body as her gaze fell back upon the demon and the male. "Take the exit that the unconscious guy gave us, I can distract them... " @greta i hope this is okay, will change if needed

Was she afraid? Only a little bit. Death never seemed like a peaceful thing to her. But maybe now, as she gasped for breath, eyes slowly gaining black spots as she began to die, she would find peace — the idea of being reunited with her parents and sister, that was enough for her. Her eyes began fluttering, and then, a miracle happened. With a gasp of breath, the brunette was able to breathe again. Coughs began leaving her lips, her eyes snapping open and closed rapidly, the dark spots leaving. She kept taking deep swallows of breath, looking around her and taking in each dead body. Out of the seven of them that had been lured down there, only herself and three others were alive. One of which was currently knocked out from the looks of it, but his chest rose and fell with each breath that he took. Adam and Terra, they seemed to be moving, their bodies gasping for breathe just as hers was. She glanced towards the demon that had brought them here, and then the man that tried to choke them to death, a woman standing in the background watching. They were all distracted, leaving time for an escape. She was so preoccupied with breathing that she jumped when a delicate hand grasped her arm, yanking her to her feet with a shocked gasp. She glanced towards Terra, who was gathering the other survivor from the ground. She spoke in a hushed voice, enough for the two of them to hear. 'Get out of here, okay? Take the exit that the unconscious guy gave us, I can distract them...' Greta shook her head rapidly, the movement making her dizzy. "How are you going to do that? We almost died...they died...what happens if you can't distract them. Come on, leave with us...let that bastard distract them," she hissed out, her voice but a hush whispered, the sound of it cracking from her strangulation. |

━ the first casualty of war is innocence ━
Adam really thought he was doomed. The invisible grip on his throat wasn't letting up any time soon, leaving him gasping for breath, but he couldn't. He couldn't breathe and he was starting to feel his grip on reality loosen up and before he could pass out from the lack of oxygen, the grip on his neck loosened and he fell to the ground. He gasped for breath, greedily taking in all the air he possibly could. He lifted his head to listen to the man as he bargained with the demon. Did he really believe that he could so easily bargain with the demon? He knew that demons couldn't be trusted and he didn't know much about them. It was all basic knowledge.
Adam let out a small gasp when Terra came to him to help him to his feet. He stood up, still feeling a little too light-headed for his own good. "Yeah. Yeah, you're right. Let's go." Adam turned his gaze to Ryan before he looked over at Greta as he nodded his head slowly. Though he felt surprise wash over him when Terra told them to go and that she will stay behind to distract them. He was against that idea, from beginning to end. "No." Despite him being afraid of dying, he just couldn't leave Terra here. It was out of the picture for him. "I'm staying if you are." Electricity traveled between his fingers. "I'm not going anywhere without you, Terra. Friends don't leave each other behind." He whispered, his voice remaining hushed as he stood beside Terra while the demon and the man before talked. "And I agree with Greta. We can easily slip out while they're talking."

Sammy had once been his supposed favourite special child but he was rapidly losing that title. Nearly every demon had been ordered out of Mystic Falls to leave Sam desperate, he’d been slowly manipulated away from the rest of his family, leaving him isolated and jonesing for a fix of demon blood. Lilith had done a decent enough job with that but now instead of controlling Sam, being the other voice in his ear she was leaving him to it. There was fire in Sammy’s eyes, those green puddles of hatred that were going to do the hunter no good. One way or another his hand was going to be forced here and these kids were going to spring that cage open, even if it was going to take slowly pulling Ben apart limb from limb to make it happen. If Lucifer was to be freed Azazel knew he couldn’t kill the kids himself but he could force the hand of everybody in this cavern, especially Sam. Without Dean here as the voice of reason Sammy didn’t have a chance.
Sneering, Azazel chuckled as Sam tried to correct him on what he’d said. The fact that his blood ran in their veins, in Sammy’s too, made him a father too them. They were blessed with his power, taking after a papa who’d bargained to be able to raise a new generation of kids in his image. ”Who passed on the part of himself to all of them Sammy?” he crooned, opening his hand, watching the scarlet blood glitter in the firelight. ”Whose blood is in your veins son?” He glanced around the space, his eyes settling on each of his kids in turn as he grinned. ”We’re all around there. The only way for you any of you to get out is to do what’s asked of you.” Azazel’s gaze drifted from Sam, to the kids he was draining, to the cage that seemed to be weakening with every passing moment. Just a little more, just the push that was needed and the door would crack right open.
The act was perhaps a misstep in getting Sam to give that push. Laying it on thick might fool the kids but he could already see Sam balking at the idea, eyeing him with suspicion. Maybe it was his Oscar worthy performance, maybe it was Terra lashing out at Sam, either way Sam was knocked back in more ways than one. Azazel’s teeth gritted harder as he saw Sam’s gaze drop to the blood that was slowly dousing the flames. No. No! He shook his head, whipping out a hand, forcing more blood to leech from the kids. Some were already down, dead maybe, if he waited too long it would all be for nothing. ”Sammy.” The hunter’s name was a hiss from his lips, half plea, half warning. The cogs were spinning in his head, too fast, too well oiled now, the demon could practically see them whizzing away, looking for the signs in what had happened since they’d all landed up in this backwoods little town.
Just like that Sam tried to lash out. Azazel felt the power … his power … punch out at him. He bent into it like a walker into a strong wind, his lips peeling back in a feral smile as he twisted his own hand, dragging the kids closer, pulling Ben’s prone body with them. ”This is why you were my favourite,” he crooned. ”You never gave up Sam, not even when you should’ve done. It was your destiny, all of it. You were going to become more. You were going to end up here, saving your nephew. Look at him Sammy.” Azazel was pressed hard enough against that wall of power that he was almost on his knees now but he had Ben sliding towards him along the rocky ground, past the other kids. Bringing him into view for Sam. ”She was desperate Sammy. She agreed, for both their sakes.” Lisa’s deal hadn’t come because of Dean but it had been one hell of a blessing. Azazel stretched out a hand, laying it on the boy’s chest as Sam finally began to crack. ”It’s them or him Sam. There’s your choice. If you do this, if you help them to open the cage. You’ll all go free. I swear.” Azazel’s expression turned solemn, hiding the glee inside. He hadn’t said they would come back as themselves, their corpses would make handy meat suits for his people, for their new hell on earth to begin. ”Do it now.” He kept the glee from his voice this time, just leaving Sam the opening.
Some were already dead and gone, their bodies still, their souls slowly drifting away. They could be brought back, under the right circumstances but he had no plan to really do it, not in the way that Sam was trying to bargain for. Some … some were plotting against him. Azazel turned his head slowly towards Terra, chuckling lightly. The girl had never stopped fighting, not when they had been standing in her kitchen, the one that was now ash, not now. She’d thrown her power at Sam and now, while he tried to bargain for her life, she was pleading for others to follow. ”We can’t do this without you Terra,” he called out to her. ”Don’t throw away all that you’ve done to try and run. You can do this. All of you, you can do what’s needed and you can head home to your family, to your little vampire…” He wasn’t blind to anything his kids did, he knew where their soft spots were too. His head turned slowly, cocking as he set his eyes upon the scheming kids. ”I wouldn’t if I were you. It’s them or Ben Sam…” And he knew which one Sam would choose. It was always family.

Sam Winchester:
Ever since Sam had found out that Azazel's blood ran through his veins he despised it. The mere fact that the monster that took his mom and Jessica also lived on inside him in part made his blood boil. He hated everything about it; the way Dean looked at him after finding out, his true father for hiding it for him as well as telling Dean to kill him, the enjoyment he received from the power given to him, all of it. In truth Sam didn't know if he would give up the power it came with, as it meant he could protect his family from being on the receiving end, or at least that was what he told himself to sleep at night. He couldn't deny it though that part of the demon was in them all, forever. "A wise man once told me 'Family doesn't end with blood' It also doesn't start there. We are not your family."Even just his name from the monster's lips made Sam rage. The hunter didn't care for any warning that Azazel may throw his way. In a way it was similar to his twisted family. Sam despised his biological father and his supernatural one, he would do anything to disobey and piss off them both and this was no different. "Fuck you and fuck my destiny." Sam had always believed in Heaven and Hell but he didn't think he would be here stuck between the two. Ben. He couldn't let his pride be the death of his nephew. "Both? For what Lisa and Ben? You sick son of a bitch. Get your hand off him."The children were so close to the cage now he could practically feel and hear the locks breaking. Them being that close only made the blood flow quicker. "I'm not taking your word for it." He thought for a second to try to cover all loopholes. After all this wasn't his first deal with a demon. "No, I wont help on just those terms." He shook his head. If he was going to do this it would have to be for a lot more than that. "The deal is: You let them all go, ALIVE, they live all of them, Ben included." After all if he was about to say Yes there had to be pretty big stakes, Azazel was desperate. "No more feeding babies your blood, no more special children. Then and only then will I kill them and say yes. I will even throw in not fighting Lucifer, if I can speak to Ben one last time." Honestly he wouldn't want to fight Lucifer after killing the children and letting Lucifer free. He would rather be tucked away in a dark corner of his mind until Lucifer either found another vessel or was killed. "But, finalise the deal before waking Ben up." He couldn't believe what he was saying but if it all went to plan Dean would be able to stop Lucifer and the children would still get to live. If he had the choice he would throw into the mix to remove their memories of this tragic night but he knew if he did then Ben would not be able to remember what he would say.Sam tried to not focus on Ben or the other humans around them. He didn't want to think about the deep consequences of what he was doing. He tried to ignore the increasing heat irradiating towards him from Terra. Hell was already hot but the waves that kept rolling were starting to bring the temperature to unbearable and even burning. "Deal or no deal. For some reason you can't kill them or they would be dead already. So you need someone or something else to do it. and I want to sign a contract, no other way to seal the deal." MY SOUL IS A CANVAS LET ME SPEAK TO YOU IN COLORS
Terra kept her green eyes upon the taller male and the demon that had brought them here, listening as Greta began to speak. "How are you going to do that? We almost died...they died...what happens if you can't distract them. Come on, leave with us...let that bastard distract them," "Listen to you, I'm not going to let them hurt anyone else. They didn't deserve this, we don't deserve this." Terra spoke twisting to look at the brunette as she gestured toward the dead kids spread out around them. Blood seeping from them as if it was pried away, snaking its way toward the burning cage with the silhouetted figure hidden amongst the dancing flames. "I'm staying if you are." Adam protested, which caused the redhead to look at him as electricity seemed to crackle around him. She took in a sharp breath, her lips pursing together in disapproval.
"You have a sister and parents who love you, Adam." "I'm not going anywhere without you, Terra. Friends don't leave each other behind." "Touche." She answered defeated, there was no way she'd get through with these two. They were adamant upon surviving but they weren't going to let her stay behind, to sacrifice herself for their wellbeing. How selfish of them, but also she appreciated not being alone. She had pushed people away for most of her life that she was so tired of being alone.
"And I agree with Greta. We can easily slip out while they're talking." "That would be too easy, we have to have a solid plan..." She murmured to the two as she drew her green gaze back toward the two men enraptured by their talk. His name was... Sam? Clicking her tongue against the back of her teeth, Terra looked over her shoulder at Greta and Adam. Trying to figure out how to get out of this place as this taller man. The demon called Sam made a deal with it. Bargaining their lives as if they didn't truly matter. Not as much as the one that laid unconscious. Ben. Terra swallowed before she raked her fingers through her hair. "Okay, here's the plan." She began twisting around her back facing the demon and Sam briefly. Her attention focused on the two before her.
"We as a group move in unison toward the exit, if they come at us we use those powers the bastard gave us against him and push him back. But we keep moving to the door." She instructed sternly, looking between the two before she slowly jabbed a finger at Adam her look serious. "I mean it."
”We can’t do this without you Terra,” A sickening chill ran down her spine as she slowly twisted around to glare at the thing that was speaking her name. ”Don’t throw away all that you’ve done to try and run. You can do this. All of you, you can do what’s needed and you can head home to your family, to your little vampire…” "How about you go fuck yourself!" Terra spat back, her lips curling back into a snarl as she drew her hands up. Taking a step back as she looked over her shoulder.
"Let's go." @greta

'Listen to you, I'm not going to let them hurt anyone else. They didn't deserve this, we don't deserve this.' The brunette looks at the girl as if she had two heads. That wasn't what she had meant by it at all, and she opened her mouth to speak but was cut off by the protest of the lone male survivor. She nodded her head, "I'm with Adam on this one...you can't take them on if you're dead. Three against them is better odds than one..." There was some back and forth between Terra and Adam before Terra mentioned just slipping out would be too easy, that they needed a plan. Greta nodded her head, "Any bright ideas?" Came her voice seconds before Terra addressed them with a plan. Greta nodded her head, as Terra addressed Adam fully as if he were the one that would fuck this plan up. 'We can't do this without you Terra,' Came the chilling male voice of Azazel, the very man that had helped her use her abilities the first time around. He had made promises, if she had known her death would be her end of the deal...she would have spit in his face. He started using things against them, at least, Greta didn't have any of that. Greta didn't have a family or a little vampire, maybe a lover of Terra that seemed to bring a snarl from her. 'Let's go.' With those words, Greta nodded her head and followed the ginger's lead. |

━ the first casualty of war is innocence ━
The thought of them getting out of here brought on hope and it was everything he needed right now. He needed that hope to latch on so he wouldn't get washed away by the tide and the danger that was getting closer and closer to them. He wanted to get out of here alive, to be able to go back to his family. But with how everything was looking out, it didn't seem like it was going to be an easy way out. The way they were bargaining their lives away as if they didn't matter one bit. As if their sacrifice wouldn't be in vain. He didn't want to be sacrificed in the first place, but that choice was ripped away from them the second they were born. Adam stood his ground even when Terra told him that he had a family to go back to. It was something he didn't need to be reminded of. They were the reason he was fighting so hard to get out of here. They were the reason he was latched onto his life right now even when everything wasn't looking so bright for them.
Adam sent her a nod when she told them that they'd need a solid plan after she'd given up on trying to talk them into leaving her here. "Okay. Solid plan it is." Adam murmured, his gaze drifting between the two of them before he glanced over at Azazel and the tall man. When Terra formed a plan to get them out of here, Adam nodded his head almost instantly, agreeing along. When she jabbed her finger at him, he couldn't help the small smile on his lips. "Okay. Okay, I got it. I promise." Adam really, really hoped he'd be able to summon his powers when it was needed.
Adam's gaze drifted to the man, his words causing a frown to form on his features. His voice alone sending shivers down his spine and at Terra's prompt, he began following her, ready to use his powers if needed. He really hoped it wouldn't come to that. That, by some miracle, they'd be able to get the hell out of here without anything going sideways. Hoped.

The Winchesters had been the thorn in his side for far too long. First Mary herself, then John, then his boys, even young Ben now. All of them fighting tooth and nail to stop the inevitable from happening. It didn’t matter how many times they were knocked down, how many times Hell picked itself back up to try and free Lucifer again, the Winchesters were still there creating the biggest pain in his ass. The kids were listening to Sam, he could see it from the corner of his eye. Azazel gritted his teeth against it, shooting Sam a feral smile. ”Did that wise man know whose blood flowed through your veins Sammy? Did he know that when it came down it that blood was going to call out to all of you. You’re here tonight because you are my son.” That son would kill the others, sending those locks flying open in a way that those born down here never could get at them.
Lilith had spent so long preparing Sammy for it, sewing the seeds of doubt in his blood addled mind, promising that he could end it all now, stop Hell in its tracks if he did the right thing. Now the time was here Lilith had disappeared and Sammy was railing against what needed to be done. Azazel half snarled before he dialed himself back, wanting nothing more than to lash out and add the Winchester’s blood to that already flowing towards the cage. ”Destiny is all that will save you now Sam. All that will save any of you.” His yellow eyes cut around the space, settling on the kids as they huddled together, Ben behind them, still unconscious, still his biggest bargaining chip. Azazel drew them closer, out of Sam’s reach. He shook his head, his lips curving faintly. ”For Lisa, for Ben, for Dean. Imagine, you had his son’s life in your hands but you couldn’t do what was needed to keep them safe. Lisa sacrificed her son once, are you going to do it again?” It was a simple choice. Family over everybody else.
It was one the Winchester’s had made before, always picking themselves. Azazel’s hands came up slowly, a sign of surrender, not that it would ever matter with a demon of his ilk. He could make all the promises in the world but there were always loopholes, always ways around the shackles the deals tied them up in. ”If Lucifer’s free there’s no reason to harm any more of them. This was only ever about freeing our father from where Heaven kept him buried. All of them back alive, Sammy, you have my word.” But Sam still wasn’t done. For Christ’s sake. He could hear the children muttering from where he stood, his yellow gaze ticking back towards them as they whispered and conspired and tried to find a way out that they could take while the grown ups bargained their lives. Rolling his eyes, he ignored the kids for a moment. ”You’re tying me in knots Sammy,” he growled. He snapped his fingers, the contract appearing before Sam, stating exactly what the hunter had said. ”Sign it, do as I asked and then Ben is all yours, alive and well. Just do it Sam. Now.” The hunter was right of course, he couldn’t do any of this himself, it would negate the power opening the locks. This was about humanity, it always had been. That humanity was bucking against him, foul language spat in his direction. Azazel snarled at the girl, extending a hand to keep her in place. ”You’re losing your chance Sammy. They get out of here and that’s your deal gone. Ben dies and you get to go home and tell Dean that you cost him his son.” One final jab, right in the Winchester soft spot.

Sam Winchester:
Sam ignored the feral smile the demon gave him. He couldn't care less. He wasn't doing any of this for the demon. "Funnily enough he did know. And he loved me all the same." Sam didn't want the teenager's thinking that their families would think differently about them now just because of the demon blood. Sam had never been a big fan of destiny. He had faith in God until recently but he had never liked being told he had to do something no matter what. It was ironic that being in Hell was fulfilling his destiny. "Destiny has never saved me and won't save these children. It never has and never will. Destiny is killing these children if anything." The hunter hoped that if he avoided bringing attention to the humans still alive that some may be able to escape. The logical part of the hunter knew that would not be possible. There it was the demon was using Ben against him again. It was true though that if Ben wasn't there it would be easier for Sam to attack or respond but his nephew was here none the less and he would have to play the hand he had been dealt. He could never imagine ever telling Dean that he was the reason Ben died but he also couldn't let Dean loose them both tonight. It would break him. Sam also had the common sense to know that he wouldn't be leaving Hell as himself or even alive. Sam had come in here expecting to put humanity first but he didn't know if he could. "Not to harm any of them or make any more either." Sam corrected. The human made sure to skim read the document before signing anything. After he read the document he pulled a pen out of his pocket and stabbed his finger with it before using his blood to sign the contract. "Ben isn't mine or anybody's but his own." Sam knew he had no choice. He had to act and act now. As much as he wanted them to escape he knew they couldn't or Azazel would kill every person in the room. Sam placed a hand up in a grip motion and held the humans in place. He pulled out his phone with the other hand and quickly wrote a text to Dean. He hoped general Hell had service. ---text message--- Dean I had no choice. I'm sorry. Don't try to save me. (Enter coordinates) The heart of the house holds what you need. ---end of message---The coordinates would led Dean to an abandoned house that Sam had used for months. The hunter had hidden a box of items that he had received from kol and instructions on how to use them. He had not had the chance to grab the things he needed before Lilith kidnapped him to Hell. Sam just hoped Dean would get the message. The hunter dropped the phone on the floor and stamped on the phone to stop others using it to get to Dean. Sam then used his powers to pull the innocent teenager's closer to the cage. He closed his eyes and let out a long slow breath as he let the power wash through him. As he opened his eyes they were pitch black. All signs of old Sam were gone. He knew that killing the teenager's and releasing Lucifer was irredeemable. There was no way he wanted to come back after this. Sam didn't want to live after he let Lucifer back in. With a swipe of a finger he slit the throats of any human left alive. The power he felt was like nothing he had felt before. This was different. This was all on him. As the blood finished pouring from the teenager's he dropped the bodies to the floor before moving closer to the cage. The locks were snapping like tooth picks one after another. The temperature suddenly dropped as the cage started to creak open and a blinding light emitting from the cracks. He used a hand to shield his eyes from the blinding light . It was the same as the last time Sam opened the cage. "He's here." Tag: @lucifer AZAZEL @terra Notes: I'll make it look pretty later. I'm on my phone atm Words:

MY SOUL IS A CANVAS LET ME SPEAK TO YOU IN COLORS
She had kept her attention upon them, listening to the conversation with bated breath and a sickening churn in her stomach. There had to be a way to change the future, a way to alter it to where the vision she was seeing flashing behind her eyelids didn't come to pass. She didn't want to die, who in their right mind did? She had too many things she wanted to do, things she wanted to say, feelings she wanted to express and yet. This demon,
Azazel, as he was called. Was bargaining their lives for the one. Ben Winchester. Which prompted the redhead to the thoughts that he would be alright if anything the taller male. Sam. Wouldn't let anything happen to him, shame that he didn't have the same resolve to keep them all safe. If this had happened before you'd think he had learned his lesson. Grown ups were either ignorant or didn't think all that clearly with age. As she snapped at the demon on the mere mention of Christian, she directed both Greta and Adam to move. Walking backward with them as she kept her hands up in the direction of the men.
But that was when she felt her feet steeled to the floor, which caused a panic to set in before she quickly looked over her shoulder at Greta and Adam. "GO!" She yelled, one final attempt to fight. She let the heat of the fire that churned within her out. Roaring from her fingertips as it attempted to attack both Azazel and Sam before it stopped just a hair short. A sharp pain erupted from her throat before she felt a warm flow run down her bare throat. Soaking her gray bed shirt, clutching her throat. She tried to breathe. Her heart racing frantically as she dropped to her knees. The bite of the hard rocky surface was nothing compared to the black spots dancing along her vision. The burning sensation in her lungs as she struggled to breathe, tears beading the corners of her eyes.
This was the end. Her green eyes stared at Azazel, then slowly over to Greta and Adam who too were struggling as she was before her body grew heavy. Feeling herself fall against the surface of hell her blood began to pool beneath her. Then everything went black as her hand fell away from her throat. Before she flickered into existence, staring at her body and slowly shaking her head. "No...." she began as she collapsed on her knees beside her body. "No no no no no no...." @greta

control is not something that you can hold over her ❝ If someone had told her this was how her life was going to end, she would have laughed. Surely she had thought that eventually the Ali brothers would catch her and kill her. She hadn't thought she would die in Hell, having been brought here to free Lucifer. She would have thought they would have escaped, the three surviving members backing up, Terra standing between them and the two males. She was prepared to die for them, and Greta felt somewhat guilty. She didn't want anyone to die for her, not now nor never. And then, Terra stopped moving, glancing back at them with a panic as she screamed for them to go. "Not without you!" she screamed out, backing up a few more paces when the fire roared around them as she attempted to attack the two older males. And then, a spray of blood shot out from her throat. "Terra no!" was the last thing she screamed, her body lurching forward to fight, but it was too late. One step forward, and she felt the sharpness of something slice at her throat. A gag of blood leaving her throat as her hands moved to her throat. She clutched at it, remembering how in movies, people were able to survive with this type of wound for a while. But already, her lungs had screamed because of being suffocated. And now, she was bleeding from it. "You....bastard..." she sputtered out, blood pooling out of her mouth as she fell to her knees. Terra and Adam had both suffered the same fate, and she wished she had died before. Suffocating would have been better than this painful death. And then, her body fell to the ground, blood pooling around her. The last thing she saw was the ceiling, and then she appeared above her body. Her soul had escaped her body, and she was staring down at it. Her eyes were still open, glassy as tears had streamed down her face. Her hair was matted with blood, and the blood seemed to endlessly pool around her. She looked around at each body, taking in Terra, who had already stopped moving, and Adam, who was still struggling before he too experienced death.

━ the first casualty of war is innocence ━
Adam never thought that his life would end in such a way. In a way, it was quick and painless, but still. He never thought the day would come where he'd die before he could even start to really live. He still had so much ahead of him that he wanted to try out but most likely will never try. Adam could feel it in the pit of his stomach that he was going to die soon and the mere thought was scary. He didn't want to die. But then again, who would want that? What he'd seen was horrifying on its own, seeing some of them fall and fail to get up again. Their bodies being the only ones remaining without a soul within. It was scary and a selfish part of him was hanging onto his life with his teeth and nails, but he had no power. No say in whether he'd come out of this alive or not.
Adam's eyes widened when Terra abruptly stopped and yelled at them to go. "No." He replied almost immediately. He was simply not going to leave her and just run off with his tail tucked between his legs no matter how much he wanted to. He wanted to live. But if it was at the cost of Terra's life, then there was truly no point. Greta thought the same too. Adam could feel the electricity begin to travel between his fingers, ready to strike but it ended before they could even put up a fight. Adam watched with horrified eyes as Terra's throat was slit open, blood pouring like a fountain which made him feel weak to his knees. He experienced the same pain as his hand flailed to grasp his throat in hopes of stopping the blood but it was useless. His struggle was entirely useless. Black dots ate away his vision until all he could see was darkness. But not before he got a replay back of his life. His dad's, mom's, Viola's faces staring back at him, smiling in a way that offered him comfort.
Adam's body collapsed in a pool of his own blood, lifeless and unmoving and not long after, his ghost was standing right beside his deceased body. He took in the sight of him before he looked away with tears covering his line of vision. He was dead. He screamed for the first time ever. Screamed in pain, screamed from the numbing amount of sadness he felt in that moment, he screamed at the Gods above for doing something like that to him. He cried until he could no longer find any more tears to spill. He was truly gone.

Pain was all that Ben remembered before everything went black and it was the first thing that started coming back to him as the fog slowly started to lift. He wasn’t sure how long he had been out of it for but he already felt weaker than he had been due to the amount of blood that he had lost and with that realisation came the thought that he needed to find another way to get the other kids out of there if they hadn’t managed to escape already. Only fragments of what had happened started to come back to him at first and he made sure to stay perfectly still and keep his eyes closed as he pieced it all together. He and a group of other kids had been transported to Hell by Azazel so that they could use their powers to open the cage and free Lucifer. That was something that Ben had never wanted to happen but and he had done all he could to stop it before he was knocked out cold and he had no idea what had happened during the time that he had been out of it but he knew that he needed to find out and try to salvage the situation as best he could. He hadn’t believed Azazel when he had said that if they all did as he wanted then he would let them go, he had heard enough about the demon to know that just about every word that came out of his mouth was a lie and that humans were disposable to him so Ben knew that there had to be a way to keep the others safe. Having finally regained his strength enough to move, Ben opened his eyes as a familiar voice reached his ears and a groan escaped his lips as he pushed himself into a sitting position. There was something sticky on the ground around him and he quickly realised that he had been lying in a pool of his own blood – lovely. That wasn’t that much of a surprise, though, what surprised him was that Sam was there too and Ben pulled together the strength he had left and got to his feet. “Sam? What’s going on?” he asked, just in time for a blinding light to fill the room. Shielding his eyes, it was then that Ben spotted a number of different figures lying on the ground and his free hand flew to his mouth in shock. “No, they’re all dead,” he breathed, feeling his heart ache as he realised that it was too late. He had tried to free the others but they were all gone. He had failed. “What happened?” he demanded, knowing that he was going to make one of them answer him no matter what. AZAZEL & SAM WINCHESTER(I know it wasn’t meant to be me next but since it has been a couple of weeks since the last post I figured I would go for it)

It might’ve seemed like their chance to escape but for the kids currently huddling together, making their worthless little plans, this was merely a delay. The Winchesters had always fallen back on that family love, believing it would be their salvation. If anything, Azazel thought, it was the complete opposite. His love for his son had put John in hell, had broken him until he was as corrupt as the rest of them. Sam thought that the same love was somehow going to let him save his family but his deal was just going to delay the inevitable. They were all destined to die and for the kids scattered around this room it was going to be Uncle Sam who damned them all to the same centuries of torment that John had suffered. As Sam suggested it was destiny that was killing these kids Azazel breathed out an amused sigh. ”Nope, not destiny son,” he breathed. Sam. This was all down to Sam now.
Using Ben was the easiest way to make it happen, hastening things along until Sam was trying to negotiate their little deal here. Azazel held his hands up, shrugging. ”There’d be no need to if you do this Sam. You’re saving all those possible kiddies by doing this.” He held the contract out to Sam, one booted foot tapping impatiently against the ground as Sam signed on the dotted line in his own blood. Azazel grinned, rolling up the contract and making it disappear as Sam finally got his finger out. A shudder ran through the demon as he felt Sam’s power lash out and hold the remaining kids in place. Terra’s ‘go!’ had cracked through the air with a wave of heat but they’d barely had a chance to move before Sammy was finally doing his part. He rolled his yellow eyes, bathing in that power as he waited for Sammy to type out his goodbyes. ”Time’s a wasting son,” he crooned. Finally Sam dropped his phone and stomped it into shattered pieces.
Azazel raised a hand, grinning paternally at the kids as they were dragged closer to the cage. He wiggled his fingers in the air at Sam, hurrying them along. ”It won’t hurt a bit,” he promised them all, lying glibly. Either their deaths or their coming back as puppets for his people. They were yelling, Greta’s voice rising in a scream as Terra’s throat was cut first. Even when her own throat burst open, Greta was still trying to talk, throwing an insult at him as if he cared. Azazel chuckled. He was already working through just how to twist the deal he’d made in his head. Azazel drew in a breath, letting it out in a happy little sigh. ”There’s my boy,” he crooned. He stepped forward, glee glimmering in his own golden eyes as he saw the blood begin to pour from the throats of his children. It flooded to the floor, worming its way rapidly towards the cage. The sacrifice, that had always been the key. The locks snapped as he watched, light beginning to flood out around the cage. He didn’t need Sam’s comment, he could feel he father finally.
Azazel stepped forward, holding his arms out wide, basking in it all until he heard Ben groan his way awake. Turning back, he chuckled lightly. Hands rubbing together, he made his way back towards Ben. ”Uncle Sammy is what’s going on son,” he said lightly. He pulled his hands apart, spreading them to indicate the people on the floor. ”He did what you were all unwilling to do. He opened the cage for me. Now, it might look like your uncle murdered them all but he had an excuse … you … and he twisted my arm a little. They’ll all be back soon enough … when your dad turns up here with his Merry Band of Dogooders. In the meantime, I’ve got places to be. I’ll see you around soon son, you too papa.” Turning back towards Sam, Azazel winked one yellow eye and disappeared. He’d gotten what he wanted and with his father free, they’d finally have their reunion.
