Ariel’s slender fingers stayed tightly intertwined with Jeremy’s, taking and giving what comfort she could from the touch of someone who cared. Of all the other kids in the room, he was the only one she had any true connection to. She was too new at Mystic Falls High School to have gotten too close to very many of the other students. If not for his heroics she would likely have not gotten as close to Jeremy as she had. When Jeremy yelled at the freaky man, Ariel cringed a little, more worried about what he might do to him than over what the man just said about their parents. But she did feel sickened by the idea of having been fed blood when she had been a baby. Ariel tried to run when Ben drove the blade into the chest of the man Azazel was possessing, but the young dance wasn’t fast enough to get clear of the room. None of the kids were. She tripped over Ben’s limp form and fell, her hand ripping free from Jeremy as she fell beside the young hunter. The floor of the warehouse was rough and uneven scraping the palms of Ariel’s hands and her knees, causing her blood to not exactly flow but oozing slowly from the scraps. Hampered by her still weak knee, Ariel tried to scramble back to her feet to run but by now Azazel was ready for them. With a shriek Ariel was dragged back towards the cage in the center of the room by an unseen force. She tried to slow herself down, but succeeded only in smearing more of her blood on the floor as she was dragged by the power of the demon. ADAM HAWTHORNE

━ the first casualty of war is innocence ━
Adam felt helpless as Terra looked at him in a way that had his heart clenching, he wanted to reassure her, let her know that everything will be alright but he didn't know that. Terra could see their deaths, she knew how it was all going to end and it all went against what the demon was telling them, his words luring them in and spreading comfort within their panicked heart but what Terra was telling him... He knew it was the truth and that whatever the man was telling them was only a lie or perhaps his second option. Adam's eyes widened when Terra started to choke, his gaze shifting between the demon and his friend. "Please, please don't do this." Adam pleaded with the demon but would it really make a difference?
Before he knew it, a blade was plunged deep within the man's chest and the sight had Adam's lips parting in shock, his body freezing completely until the sound of Terra's breathing brought him back and he turned to look at her with wide and worried eyes, relieved to see her alive. But with how everything was going downhill so fast in a blink of an eye, Adam had to be sharp on his feet and when Terra yanked him, he instantly ran with her, nearly stopping when he saw a girl fall before his eyes drifted to the boy who had risked his life to give them a headstart. "We can't leave him, Terra--" But before he could even reach the passed out boy, they were dragged back to the cage after getting so close to running away from the man and his wicked schemes.
Adam's body shook at the impact, his expression shifting into one of pain as his body protested at the harsh impact. Adam looked around him frantically until his gaze settled upon Ryan, the boy with the joke that had caused him to smile for a faint moment back then before his gaze settled upon Terra who seemed to be on the verge of tears and he didn't blame her for it. Not even a single bit. "Hey, hey.." Adam called out, his voice soft. "Look at me, Terra. C'mon, raise your head and look at me, okay? I need you to breathe for me, okay? I know you're scared. I am, too. It's okay to be scared, it's okay." Adam could only reassure her at this point but after pissing off the man, Adam knew their chances of leaving alive shrunk. That man was the product of his worst nightmare, so sinister, his laughter bone-chilling, he was certain it would haunt him for an eternity to come.

not sure who is next words: 434 | Jeremy kept the hold on Ariel’s hand. He was scared he couldn’t hide that fact anymore. There was no point in fighting anymore. There was no getting out of this. He wants to make sure Ariel got out safety, as it didn’t matter what happened to him. He heard what Azazel have said about the things and everything else. It was true he have hurt his family so much. The violent outburst. But the things were in the past, as it was to stop the pain of the heart aching when his parents death. It still hurts to this day, he just never said anything about it. He was about to do something until he felt the grip onto his neck, Jeremy tried to fight against it and swung his arm, to try and get the demon to let him ago. He felt the grip leaving him and he coughed a little, trying to get his breath back. Jeremy didn’t do anything, he was mostly focus on Ariel and keep her safe as possible.
He was mostly shocked when the other kid, someone he didn’t know started to attack Azazel. Using the stabbing as a cue to get moving, Jeremy guided Ariel as possible to where they could escape. They so close as well, until he felt his hand had nothing there. He turned around and saw Ariel being dragged by something. He quickly ran after. He got back to her “Are you ok?” He asked until he felt something grabbing him again. “No let me go!” He yelled and fought much as he could, until he was placed at the spot again. He wanted to resist what the demon wanted from, knowing he wasn’t coming out of this alive. He knew now that dream he had was about this time, he wasn’t going to see his family again, this was the end.
Jeremy kept was resisting even though he felt the pain pushing him to do it. Slowly his hand raise up as he was forced to use his power on the part of his cage lock. It was burning inside and slowly the blood was beginning to fall from his nose, as he just hoped that his family would be ok when he was gone as he was going to miss them. He looked at Ariel weekly and hope she would get out of this alive and not become another death like the rest of them.

Leave it to a Winchester to attempt to throw a spanner in the works. First it had been by trying to ‘out’ him to the rest of the children, making his crimes against the Winchester family and his seemingly endless manipulation of them obvious. If it hadn’t been for the fact that half of the kids cowering in the cave knew exactly what their parents were like it might’ve worked but there was enough suspicion pouring out of them to make it clear that they still trusted him in some way. Clucking his tongue at Ben, Azazel shook his head slowly. ”So cynical for one so young. Didn’t your tell you that demons don’t lie Ben? All you’re getting me from now is the truth. The world is not doomed and neither are any of you.” Unfortunately he wasn’t Pinocchio, his nose didn’t grow and that grey area in the words he spoke remained just that, smudged and hazy. After all, a life time in hell wasn’t going to be classed as doom was it?
Secondly it had been Ben’s attempt to slip away from him. The S.O.S. would’ve gone up now, the call to his dad meant to bring every weapon to bear upon the cage. The Winchesters had managed to foil Lucifer’s return once before but if Hell did anything well it was to learn from its mistakes. With Jeremy being dragged closer to the cage the opening was there for Ben to strike and the youngest Winchester wasted no time in trying it. The burning girl attempted to join him but Terra had been easier to cow from the start, his power wrapped around her throat like a garotte, cutting off her words as it cut off Ben’s progress. Ben strained against the power whipping out at him, burning with defiance in a way that had the demon laughing. ”Your grandfather thought the same thing before he ended up down here. You all crumble in the end…” But sometimes not until some damage had been done. Teeth baring Azazel cut yellow eyes to Terra’s young friend, the one now begging him to stop. Using knowledge undoubtedly handed down from the generations of hunters before him and the opportunity that look gave Ben pushed past the power and drove a blade into his chest. Driven to the ground, his meat suit’s lungs struggling around the blade that impaled them, Azazel flopped like a fish on dry land for a moment. It gave the kids enough time to begin to scatter, following the instructions yelled by the bloodied Winchester.
Like the three little mice, all running away from the one with the blade. Only in this case the farmer’s wife had another trick up their sleeve. Pulling the blade from his chest, Azazel pushed his way upright. The wound might’ve taken the wind out of his sails but there was enough left for him to stop the bullets Ben fired at him, in the same way the British Man of Letters had done before. Ketch had hit him with them, Ben was out of luck. Before the kid could get more than a dozen words off they were back where they’d started – the demon snarling merrily as he knocked the kid out. ”They might’ve,” he crooned as his power lashed out around them, blowing the kids all back towards the cage. ”But this old dog learned your tricks boy.” Keeping the blade in his hand, his teeth bared in a grin, he dragged the kids back, yanking them into a neat line, Ben unconscious and bleeding heavily at the head of it. Azazel stalked forward, moving around the kids enough to be able to eye them all. ”I’d listen to Ryan if I were you,” he crooned to them. ”You all saw what happened to Ben. You can save yourself from that, do what I ask. Use it!.” There was a snarl to his words, another lash of power and he was calling to the blood that he’d put in their veins, pulling at it, driving it and the power it held towards the cage.
Some gave it willingly, the powers that they had been blessed with filling the air, weakening the hold that had kept Lucifer trapped for millennia. Closest to the cage Terra already seemed to burn with what was within her, fueling the very fire that had surrounded his father for all those years. Jeremy and Ryan’s power was joining hers, the stream of it all a slow stream that would work in the end. Yellow Eyes cut past them all, to the door Ben had tried to guide them towards only moments before. Human lips curved in a grin that was far too Hellish for them. ”Looks like you’re all going to have a little help,” he crooned softly. The hammer to strike the mallet that had been guided like the blunt weapon it was at the cage where Lucifer, Michael and Ben’s uncle had been trapped. Well, what was left of Adam anyway.

| It was time. Time to once again raise Lucifer from the cage that he had once again found himself locked inside. Inside however he wasn’t alone. In there was another occupant, his own brother Michael served as a cage mate this time around. The demons however that worked toward opening the cage had no interest in freeing them both. Only one archangel was of interest to them.
Lilith had her own part to play in Azazels grand moment. Her and Sam going back some time ago had made their own deal. Sam wanted to sacrifice his own life in order to end Lucifer. Though to do so he had needed her help in opening the cage. She was now to play her part in that deal. Take him to the cage, open it and Lucifer would take over his true vessel. Though Lilith had no intention of allowing Sam to go through with the last part of his plan. It all hinged on Sam taking control of his own body…. Yet she doubted Lucifer would allow that a second time.
Once Azazel had called upon all his children, excluding only Sam. She took her leave from the warehouse before Azazels children started to arrive and went to collect the most important. She found Sam Winchester quite easily, placing herself in his path, so she could not be ignored.
Once within ear shot, she announced, ” Sammy darling…” Lilith announced, ” It’s time.” She told him. She reached out taking his arm and with a small shift of power of her own, she took herself and Sam Winchester across dimensions and downstairs to the deepest reaches of Hell after Azazel had arrived with all the special children. Flames leapt up from the grounds that surrounded the cage. Lilith allowed Sam a little freedom as this hadn’t necessarily been a part of their deal, having other special children involved. Their united power, more specifically their lives blood in order to douse the flames and open the mystical cage that lay shrouded in darkness before them.
When they arrived the cage was already being weakened the children gathered around the cage with the power thrown at the cage. Though she did take a moment to notice they were one down as one lay unconscious on the ground.... none other than the young Winchester.

Sam Winchester:
Sam could feel the change. He could feel Lucifer. With Lucifer's grip on his soul he could feel it getting tighter and tighter, it had become as if he couldn't breath lately. Not only was Lucifer after him, his family seemed to be against him also. They had stood there and watched as Sam had been locked up and held captive by Dean and Bobby. If they didn't help they stood there and didn't protest or even let him out. In his eyes it was him against the world. It seemed that only Lilith was on his side to stop Lucifer but he knew not to be fooled and trust demons again. The younger hunter had learnt this a long time ago even if it was a little too late back then. Even though Sam could tell the time was coming he didn't keep all the weapons on him. The last thing he wanted was for people to find out he had an Archangel killing blade on his possession. The things people would do for a thing like that and he didn't want to open the chance to just anyone. Sam had always kept it near by in case he would be taken down without much notice. However, that was exactly what happened. Lilith had just appeared out of the blue and took him without any time to prepare. He didn't even manage to get the blade out the boot of his car. "Wai-" Before he had even time to process that she was there they were gone. The hunter had no weapons strong enough to stop Lucifer if things were to go south. Which he was certain it would now he was empty handed. Half of his plan had been to weaken Lucifer before he said Yes but he didn't have half the tools he had planned to. After all the only time he had managed to gain any control over Lucifer and his own body was when Dean had believed in him and the sun reflecting off the car the brothers had used as a home, to bring back Sam's old memories. There wasn't that option in the cage and he felt as if he couldn't use Dean as an anchor right now. All he had was the items he had on his possession when Lilith grabbed him randomly of the street. As they made their way into the pit Sam could see the tortured souls trapped there. It may have only taken seconds to arrive but time was different in Hell, he was well aware of that. The deeper you went the slower time got. It wasn't as if they were dipping their toes into the depths of Hell they were going to the deepest corner. The hunter had multiple trips into the pit and all were voluntary this time was no different. The memories he had repressed had all come flooding back. The smell of brimstone, the dim lighting, the smell of burning flesh, and the worst, the sounds of the screams. It was as if he had gone back in time by ten years. That brief second sent him right back to when he was on the other side of the bars. As they stopped moving Sam grabbed on to Lilith's arm for support to keep him up. He couldn't breathe. He was suffocating under the pressure that he had put on himself, the stupidity in his plan and the fact he knew this would not end well. He could practically feel the flesh being pulled away from the bone by Lucifer as their brother's were forced to watch. Sam was losing faith at the worst time possible. How could he have been so stupid to think he could take on the Devil plus Yellow eyes alone! Now was when he needed to believe in God and that God actually cared but the truth had chosen now to hit him like a brick wall stopping him dead in his tracks. God either knew or didn't care. He had always thought God was on his side even when the apocalypse was rearing it's ugly head last time. This was different. The amount of times he had prayed, screamed and even begged God to help him but no response came. God was not on his side. God had left him before he was even born and he had just noticed that. 'Sammy, Sammy, Sammy, I told you God was never on your side. He was never there for you, I was. He pushed you aside like all his other little toys.' He could hear the voice as if it were in his head but it was just a memory. Lucifer was right. He was on his own. Sam managed to take a deep breath and steady himself again as he focused on the fact that Dean, Ben, his parents and Bobby were the reason he was doing this. If he had faith in nothing else he would have faith in them. He pushed himself away from Lilith as he managed to get a grip upon himself. He needed to do this for Ben and Dean. As far as Sam was aware Ben was being kept out of it by Lilith or so he hoped. It was part of their deal after all. However, they had not mentioned anything about Azazel keeping Ben out of it. Sam's eyes were just starting to adjust to the holy fire around the cage. That was when he saw the other figures surrounding the cage. This wasn't part of the deal. She was meant to bring him alone, he didn't want nor need an audience. He turned to face Lilith. "This wasn't part of the deal. We agreed to come alone! Nobody else was meant to be here or get hurt." He looked back to the people ahead of them. "What are they doing?" He asked even though he knew what must have been happening. They were releasing Lucifer. Sam was about to attack Lilith for her lying and breaking a deal but just as he was about to he felt power being dragged towards the cage. His attention was brought to Azazel and the children around the cage. He couldn't let them do this. Whatever, Azazel had offered them was a lie. He wouldn't grant their wildest dreams even if he wanted to. Sam couldn't let them open the cage no matter what. He had to stop them. He would kill Azazel for this afterwards but for now his priority was the cage. Lucifer was more of a risk to everyone, but especially Sam, and he couldn't let Lucifer be free. Where Azazel had pulled the children into a line, the hunter could see the power irradiating from them all. This was the back up plan to the seals and the horsemen's rings. He had to stop it. In Sam's eyes if this was the last of the 'special children' all in one place he had to end them. If they were gone Azazel's blood would be in no other humans and this would be the last chance for Lucifer to rise. He had to stop them no matter the consequence to his soul or conscience. He turned to Lilith "The deals off. You lied to me. The cage wont be opened. I wont do it." He still believed that Lilith may want Lucifer dead and Sam with it. He refused to be a pawn anymore. He turned back to the cage and the children around it. He stepped into view of the knight of Hell. The hunter raised his hand and looked towards the children. "Looks like daddy dearest is staying in Hell." He moved his hand as if he was grabbing something as he cut off the oxygen to the children's lungs. He didn't want to kill them but he thought if he did he would be saving the world. He would be stopping Lucifer and keeping the cage shut. The human could see the locks starting to loosen one by one. When all 66 were gone it would be too late. Lucifer would be free to roam the Earth and do as he pleased. Sam would do anything to stop that again. After all he had been through he couldn't go back to being Lucifer's vessel. He just couldn't. He knew bargaining with Azazel to stop wouldn't work so he would just have to take the hard step himself. Sam remained looking at the dying flames instead of the children or the cage. He didn't want to see the terror on the children's faces or the glee on Lucifer's. Sam knew he was damning his soul to Hell if it wasn't already by killing all these children, as well as his half brother to an eternity to be Lucifer's puppet but he couldn't save Adam without releasing Lucifer so they would all have to stay. All of them. Lilith, Azazel, Sam, Lucifer, ... the children. Tag: Notes: Words: 1501

[nospaces] [attr="class","biggieno"] [attr="class","textieno"] Ryan was certain that he wasn't going to get out of this alive, and some of the other kids started to seemingly realize the same thing after what happened to Ben. They were screwed either way. Azazel wouldn't put them out of their misery but he probably would put them in a lot of misery until they gave in and did what he wanted them to do. Their parents sold them all down a river that was more than likely going to be made up of their own blood. Ryan wanted so much to confront his mother and ask her what was worth literally selling her son to a demon? Did she know it was a demon? Even if she didn't how could such a deal have been made?[break][break]
Ryan continued to focus his power on opening the cage to the point where an interruption by two people that Ryan didn't know couldn't draw away his attention no matter how much he wanted to turn and tell this guy “what does it look like... we're using our powers to open a cage because our parents were clueless idiots.” Ryan couldn't even move to try and make an attempt for the door with the brief distraction that was provided. Despite all of his protestations this new guy appeared to be as deep in.. well it as he was. What was he going to do? Ask Azazel nicely to stop. It hadn't worked for the others that tried....[break][break]
Suddenly Ryan felt his airways start to constrict. Ironically Sam was using his powers to cut off the oxygen to his lungs. Ryan could have probably counteracted Sam's ability if he knew how to apply it to himself but even if he could alter his own biology or tell Sam to stop he wouldn't have. Azazel was going to have to take control of this one and as much as he wanted to live... Ryan was willing to die if it meant his family... and the new friends he'd made in Scott, Stiles, and the others he'd met got to live. Revenge against those bastards for how they kept him down... it wasn't worth destroying the world over. Ryan only hoped that it wasn't too late... no matter what happened to him. It was just too bad that he... he couldn't think any more as he felt the pressure of the oxygen being cut off from his lungs. He tried to speak through the words.... “Looks... like... you.. might...” He wanted to say lose after all but that wasn't even a certainty as he was collapsing from the stress of it all. Azazel may have already gotten what he needed from Ryan but maybe not from the others. Maybe there was still time..[break][break]
Notes: Hope it's ok. MY SOUL IS A CANVAS LET ME SPEAK TO YOU IN COLORS
The longer she stood there, the more her injured foot started to sting. To hurt. How long had that shard of glass been in her foot until she had come back to her senses? Even so, how long had the taste of blood? Metallic, meaty, and tangy danced upon her tongue. A salty metal taste that still clung to the back of her throat as her fingers curled against the cage. Almost as if it was sapping at the flames that churned and smoldered within her. Her green gaze glossed over to the vision of their death's changing. Like a kaleidoscope triggered by the decision of one person, instead of a knife silver and gleaming against their throat. Spilling their blood, she felt her lungs burn. But the two visions of her death was still there. One of suffocation and another of choking on her own blood, either way. They weren't going to live. None of them.
When they had run the moment Azazel was distracted, she didn't plan to leave their fellow teen knocked out cold upon the ground of what she perceived to be Hell. In fact, Terra had planned to shoulder Adam out of the dangerous situation and help the teen take down the demon that wanted them to call him Papa. She refused. He wasn't her father, but she had no idea if her parents would even make such a deal. They weren't really honest in their absence and sudden reappearances. Often she was home alone, but that was usually how she liked it. Until she moved to this town until she made friends.
Tears filled her eyes then, she wouldn't get to see her friends again. Her parents. Christian. I'll keep a close eye on you. All the time. I won't let anyone near you. Not under my watch. Don't need sleep, remember? So, I'm not just saying random shit when I say I'll literally watch over you all the time. His words rang in her head and her bottom lip trembled. Causing her to slowly draw her bottom lip in between her teeth just then. Where are you now? She thought sadly as her green eyes glassed over, causing her vision to blur. "Hey, hey.." She heard Adam call out, but she was trying to tune out the commotion and tension that rose around her. She just wanted to get this over with... to have a little hope that maybe... just maybe her visions were wrong.
"Look at me, Terra. C'mon, raise your head and look at me, okay? I need you to breathe for me, okay? I know you're scared. I am, too. It's okay to be scared, it's okay." His reassurance made her laugh sadly as she slowly looked up at him, tears falling from her eyes before she slowly shook her head. "We're not... but thank you, for always being optimistic... I really hope that it's quick. At least for you," She trailed off, downcasting her gaze to her bloody looking foot and sucked in a breath. Only to feel a burning sensation in her lungs.
She couldn't breathe, which caused panic to ignite in her body. Triggering the fight or flight response as her green eyes quickly looked at Adam, then toward the male that was holding out his hand. Curling it against the air as each precious gasp for air was decreasing by the minute.
"Looks like daddy dearest is staying in Hell." The male spoke and as she took in the male more clearly over her shoulder, she sucked in a sharper breath. She had to protect the others, at least to give them a fighting chance. To at least not go down like a sacrificial lamb. Terra wouldn't stand for it, she refused to be that. So ripping her hands away from the cage and taking in a deep breath, holding it. She pushed her way forward and held out her hands, green eyes glaring and determined. She curled her fingers into the air. Before she screamed, pushing a heated telepathic wave in his direction. Flames trailing after it upon the ground as it shoved him back. But she couldn't hold the telepathic heat wave for long because black dots dotted her vision and she felt her legs buckle beneath her due to the lack of oxygen in her system. @greta (got permission from Sarah)

One minute Greta had been fleeing like some of the other kids that had been gathered. And in the next, like the rest, her attention was drawn to the cage of fire. She didn't know if it was the booming voice of Azazel or the voice in her head telling her to join in with her powers, but she did. It was as if the blood that she had drunk and her own had mingled and left her no choice but to focus her ungodly powers upon the cage. She never believed in God or Fate...but this felt like something else entirely. And then, she started to choke, her hands flying to her throat as she gasped for air. It was as if Bartok's hand was around her neck, but there was no one holding onto it. Just like in some many dreams of Bartok or one of his brother's choking the life out of her, this same feeling had come to pass - but she was wide away. Her airway was constricted, no sound could come out - nothing but broken gasps for breath. She noticed the others doing so as well, and then, she saw him. Some guy with flowing brunette hair, his hand stretched out towards the small group of teenagers, his hands clenching as if tightening around their throats. With each passing second, she felt her body slowly losing consciousness, the power within her slowly dwindling as her eyes fluttered to stay open. Was she going to die? Was what Terra said when they first arrived going to come to pass? Maybe it was Fate... perhaps she was supposed to die this way because she had escaped it at the hands of her husband. "Please..." she croaked out, looking towards the older man that was likely doing this to them, but she knew he couldn't hear her. Or maybe he didn't care. |

If Jeremy, who had known for awhile just what exactly lurked under the surface of the quiet seeming town was frightened by all of this, words could barely describe what Ariel was feeling. Since this was her awakening to paranormal threat that was centered in Mystic Falls. She choked back a scream when Ben attacked, but wisely chose to flee knowing there was little she could do against a normal man let alone a creature like what she and the other teenagers were currently facing. With her hand firmly in Jeremy’s she ran for all she was worth, praying her knee would hold, but the fates were against her since she fell though not actually because of her bad leg. As she was dragged back towards the fiery cage, Ariel struggled for all she was worth, desperate to avoid the fate the demon had in store for them all. Hope flared within her at the appearance of Sam, thinking that the older man might be able to save them, but when he thrust out his hand, then tightened his fingers as if choking something, causing her breathing to slow she gasped, her eyes going wide in horror, her gaze shifting to meet Jeremy’s. Tears glinted in her big blue eyes as her chest heaved fighting for air as darkness spread over her field of vision until it overwhelmed and she went limp, her breathing halted by the power of Sam’s own demonic gifts. She wanted to live of course, but if she'd been asked, she would've gladly given up her life to stop so evil a creature as Lucifer from being released into the world where her parents and dearest friends lived in. The only regret she had was that it seemed likely that Jeremy and the other kids would die as well. she didn't know most of them save for Jeremy, but from her admittedly limited point of view they seemed nice enough. And many had fought, Ben more than the others, since he had been the one to send that knife into the chest of the demon who'd brought them all here. ADAM HAWTHORNE

━ the first casualty of war is innocence ━
Adam felt his breath hitch upon processing Terra's words. It was scary to even think about dying, let alone wonder whether it would be quick or if it would stretch in nothing but pain and misery but did he really deserve that? The answer was an immediate no. He had made his fair share of mistakes and he had tried to atone for it, but it seemed like it mattered none when his fate was sealed from the second he sucked in breath. But he refused to believe that this really the end of it all. It felt as if his life had barely started ━ he was supposed to live longer, make his parents proud, look after Maddie, but as his neck was seized in something akin to a choke-hold by an invisible force, Adam could see his life flash before his eyes as his lips parted to fruitlessly search for air. He could see his parents, he could see his little sister ━ they were all telling him to come home, their hands stretched toward him but he couldn't reach. They were too far away and he was rooted in his spot as his vision began to darken.
"Please," he pleaded, barely able to squeeze any word out. He saw how Terra tried to defend them by using her powers, but it wasn't long before she began to turn pale. They had barely lived at all. They spent most of their time feeling afraid of what they could do with their powers and the harm that could be done because of them. If they are not stressing about that, they're stressing about other things and it just felt so unfair for them to die without having lived their life to the fullest. They still had College, they had a long life ahead of them, but it was cut short in that moment and he knew in that moment that his fate had been sealed the second he entered this cabin.
His lips parted to call out for his dad out of fear, but nothing came out but a whimper as he continued hitting that invisible hand which barely did anything as he wrapped his hand around his neck in hopes of tugging that hand off, but he was just clawing at his neck uselessly. He was doomed and he knew it.

JEREMY GILBERT the special child, who is also troubled Jeremy didn’t know how much longer he would be able to keep using his power on the metallic cage in front of him. He kept looking at Ariel, wishing he could do something to keep her safe. He didn’t know why the guy was being like this. Jeremy thought he was helping him with his problems. This was so confusing, but hopefully he could leave this place soon he was done. But Jeremy knew he wasn’t get out of this alive, he saw himself dying. He even told elena this, he just hope everyone would be alright if this was it.
Suddenly Jeremy saw two more people coming. The woman he didn’t know much about, but the boy he have seen. It was Sam the guy he spoke too in the woods. He was like them, he was going to help him to control his powers which came upon him. Jeremy had in his mind that the boy was going to get them out of this. Hoping that he would get them all back safely back to their families. Little did he know that he was going to the one who ends his life. Jeremy hope of being rescued and saved from this nightmare when he suddenly he felt himself struggling to breath, he couldn’t keep the power up anymore. Jeremy was trying his hardest to get oxygen into his lungs, he wheezed while he crawled. Using his energy he had left to get to Ariel, showing his loyalty was still there.
Slowly he held his hand out to hold her hand, as he wheeze more fighting to survive, Jeremy didn’t want to die, he didn’t want to leave his family behind. But he couldn’t keep gasping for breath anymore, Jeremy settles down by Ariel, closing his eyes for the final time as he took the final gasp for air.

Sam Winchester had overestimated his bargaining skills again. Seeing Lilith bring them both into the space holding the cage Azazel had to stop himself from crowing and ruining the surprise for him too soon. There was no fun in that, just as there wouldn’t have been if he’d stood here and waited for Dean and his undoubted band of reinforcements arrive. They had a schedule, one that had been planned down to the last minute, including this ‘shocking’ turn of events. The demons lips curved faintly as he looked back towards his kids. He squeezed his hand tighter, pulling harder at what had been in them ever since the night of their six month birthday. Sammy was going to need a show to give in to his desperation, he needed to believe that what he was doing here was the right thing. Lilith had been laying the groundwork for it ever since she’d set up her little deal with Sammy boy.
Poor clueless little lamb, walking right into the precisely sprung trap. Yellow eyes danced with flames as they watched Sam clutch at his little demon nursemaid, lips quirking those few millimeters higher. Long moments passed, the flames around the cage dimming further with each drop of blood he was wringing out of his special children like sponges. So much power but still not enough, not until every single one of them dropped like marionettes with their strings cut and the door sprung wide open. Ben had been his backup plan and he still was, despite being unconscious, but Sammy was here and if Lilith had played him right, he might just be ready to fall on his sword to protect everybody else once it became clear that his attempt to stop Lucifer was the very thing that had freed him. The kids were just as blind to all of this as Sam, sad goodbyes filling the air, words of hope still buzzing around those that had breath to talk.
Azazel took a step back from the kids, teeth bared as Sam pulled away from Lilith. Despite the power still whipping around the kids, he lifted his hands, offering Sammy an empathetic look. ”They’re opening the cage Sam. Nothing’s going to stop them now, in a few minutes all their power will blow away the locks. So much power in them, so ready to let their true father out. Are you going to help them Sam? Come stand alongside them, use what you were given.” Tilting his head, Azazel forced a cut to spring open on his meat suit’s palm, scenting the air even more strongly with demon blood. ”Just a little nip for good luck before you start to help them?” There was humour in his voice but no relenting in his behavior. Sam had to think that the only thing that was going to get the door open was the power the kids were pouring into this.
A deep breath, sucked in full of smoke and Sulphur and the power rose higher, shining out of those kids like the freaking sun. The demon’s lips peeled back from his teeth in a feigned sneer as Sam told Lilith the deal was off, a curse rolling from his lips while he internally celebrated. ”No!” The word tore roughly from his throat, a hand shooting out hammily as though he wanted to stop Sam from what he was doing. He could feel the hunter’s power radiating out against his own, the blood he’d been consuming obviously giving him a false sense of security about going up against him. Power flapped out against Sam’s as the kids began to go down. All but Terra, oh, his little fire bug had to fight to give her little boyfriend and the other’s a fighting chance. Azazel grinned as her power, weak but still there, rushed out at Sam. Ignoring it, rushing forward, feigning desperation, Azazel stood inches from the cage, his mouth hanging open as he poured his own power useless at it. If it was as simple as a demon’s power opening the locks it would have been done millennia ago. Behind him he could feel the life in the children slowly extinguishing as Sam cut off their breath. ”Sammy, no, please, not now!” Azazel fell to his knees, clasping his hands together in front of his chest. Meeting the kids’ eyes, locking onto Greta’s, he shook his head. It was all too late now.

Sam Winchester:
Sam hated what he thought he had to do. He had convinced himself for months that this was what the world needed, what humans needed. Heaven and Hell were against the humans of earth and he would not let Hell open up and swallow it whole. The hunter had told himself that even when Ruby, Jessica and Bobby had come back that he was still on the right path. Part of the hunter knew that he had only told himself that because he liked what came with these options. He may not like where it leaded but until the last step he felt unstoppable. Last time he may have needed a prod here and there from Ruby, Azazel, even Heaven but this time he had made the same choices in hopes to change the future. Wasn't that the definition of madness? The hunter could not accept that he had let yet another evil out in the world, he had released too much in the past to add another one to the list. He knew nobody would see it like that but he had hoped that he wouldn't survive this trip to Hell. The human had hoped that both him and Lucifer would die so he wouldn't have to justify himself to any hunters or his family again. Now he had chosen to close the gate instead then maybe he would survive and face the families of the teenagers in front of him. The alternative was to let them open the cage and walk out but without his toys to stop Lucifer he didn't stand a chance, Lucifer would possess him and kill the children and billions of others instead. Sam had two choices and he would not let the world burn just to save his conscience if anyone had to burden this then he would. Just like in the past he wouldn't force anyone else to do what he thought was necessary. Sam glared as Azazel stated what Sam thought was obvious. Oh, if only he was right. He enjoyed the power that came with the demon blood but he despised where it came from and Azazel had misunderstood just how much the young hunter hated the King of Hell. It was true that John had taken almost all choices away from the Winchester resulting in Sammy having deep seated daddy issues as well as control issues and the hunter refused to let anyone else take control over him against his will any more. He had enough of Gadreel, Ruby, Azazel, the armies of Heaven and his brother taking his choices away against his will. He wouldn't let it happen again. He was done being a puppet. "Lucifer isn't their father, neither are you." When the demon cut open his hand Sam shot a blast of energy at Azazel. He didn't want to be tempted by Azazel's blood of all demons. It may have been fitting but Sam could see the irony but he couldn't help but say it anyway "You can go to Hell." There was no way in, well, hell that Sam would help to release Lucifer willingly they would have to kill him but then daddy dearest's vessel would be gone. It was well known that a demon couldn't bring someone back to life without a deal and nobody here would make a deal to bring Sam back meaning that Lucifer would be stuck in Hell if they killed him. Suspicion started to raise in the hunter. If Azazel wanted to stop him he had the power too. He could flick his wrist and send Sam to the moon and yet here he was just shouting at him to stop? Something didn't add up? Did he want the children dead by the hunter's hands? Sam didn't currently know what was right or wrong in this moment in time. The choice was made for him as Terra's blast made contact. Sam was knocked back a few steps. The human grabbed his head as the telepathic wave hit. The wave seemed to knock something loose in Sam, something that hadn't been accessed in a long time: guilt. He shouldn't be killing the children even if it stopped Lucifer. He would be just as bad as the Devil if he killed these people to get his own means. Unlike the humans Azazel wasn't glowing like a Christmas tree on steroids. Something wasn't right. Why was the bastard begging? Why had he not used his powers to stop the hunter when they both knew he could. It wasn't like he was immune to Azazel's powers, unless he was that strong currently but he doubted it. Azazel was smart. He had kept enough demons around to keep Sammy sharp but not enough to be too powerful so what was stopping the demon now. Sam took a look down. Blood. It was all dripping into the flames starting to put it out. It wasn't the power opening the cage it was the blood. He stood back up and looked around quickly. "NO. No. I won't do it." He shook his head. Sam knew that Azazel would have planned everything out properly. The King had said it himself "Do you think you two would be in town now if I didn't want you to be?" Azazel had planned it all. Sam went back to the time in the Grill when Azazel said they had been too late to stop it. He had the whole thing planned and he hadn't listened to Dean again. He had listened to his inner voice which may not have been so innocent. Was his inner voice Lucifer Morningstar? Was the devil right? The two of them completed each other. If it were true he hoped it wasn't too late. Azazel was still facing the cage. Sam took this opportunity to take his chance. He used the powers that Azazel had given him to take him down or at least planned to. The hunter needed that shock from Terra to knock sense into him. "Listen here." He focused his powers only onto the male demon. He aimed to pin him down to the ground in hopes that he could kill him. "You controlled me for too long. Didn't anyone tell you not to have Favorite children? It doesn't end well." He growled as he walked closer to the cage, noticing that at least half the locks had broke wide open. His powers had always been connected to his emotions and his ability to control them and he was starting to lose control over his emotions. He had started to see red. "You took everything from me! Jess, my mum, my choices. You took my life away from me and for what?" Sam's eyes looked to the cage. A flash of Lucifer came back to him. No. He wouldn't, he couldn't do it. Sam froze. NO. No it couldn't be. He spotted Ben for the first time amongst all of this. He looked unconscious or worse dead. He turned back to Azazel. "Why, Why -?" Tears filled his eyes. He couldn't be the reason Ben was dead or here. Sam didn't want to think about how if Ben was here then Dean would lose both his brother and son in one day. Sam shook his head. He knew that would crush his brother and he couldn't do that to Dean or Ben. He was so young he didn't deserve this, he had his whole life ahead of him. "Let Ben go. I'll deal." He threw his hands up to the sides. "I'll do it but only if you let him live. If any survive this, please, please let it be him. Spare him and as many as you can and I'll do it." He looked down to his feet. What was he doing? How could he justify killing the others to free Lucifer just to save Ben and a couple of others. Then it hit him demons could bring anyone back if there was a deal made with the right price. " If they die you have to bring them back and I'll help you." [nospaces] [attr="class","biggieno"] [attr="class","textieno"] Ryan suddenly felt that he wasn't choking anymore after Sam agreed to make a deal. What the hell was this idiot doing? He was so willing to sacrifice all of them to keep Lucifer from escaping but when it came to his brother to hell with all of them? Ryan had trusted this guy long enough and it was the reality of the situation... the reality of what would happen to his friends if Lucifer escaped. It was freaking Lucifer they were talking about. Lucifer, also known as Satan. It was a safe bet that Lucifer wasn't going to make the world a better place for all of mankind. If so then why did Sam even make the effort to stop him?[break][break]
“Don't listen to him. You can't free him.” Ryan said as he stood up. It would have been different if Azazel were actually trustworthy. He'd played their parents and all of them for fools. He'd taken advantage of what they were desperate for and used it against them. His life had been bad enough already but it would be worse if Lucifer were allowed to roam free. “You can't trust him... don't make the same mistake we made.” Ryan screamed and tried to get through to Sam before he looked down and realized that... he was standing over his own body. He hadn't survived the ritual... or at least he hadn't survived Sam Winchester after all. [break][break]
It felt like it didn't matter in the end. Ryan somehow knew that he had already unlocked his portion of the cage. He'd died... he'd made the mistake of trusting Azazel and it was all for nothing. Ryan had no faith that Azazel would hold up to any deal that he'd made with Sam. “He won't bring us back... you fool!!” Ryan said but he could already feel his essence being drawn away... out of hell and towards somewhere else. It was no use. Nobody could see or hear him but strangely at least it felt like he was being pulled out of hell. He kept trying to stay...he didn't want to see Lucifer freed. He wished there was another way to save everyone without making a literal deal with the devil.. if they could be saved at all. [break][break]
