For the plot words: 618 | Jeremy didn’t know why he was brought here, things were getting more and more confusing. He didn’t even remember how he got here as he was in bed back at home. Did his sister see him leave and get worried about him? Even though he stayed standing next to Ariel, he didn’t know that this wasn’t allowed and he was going to sit in the seat which was destined for him. He felt the force pushing him down onto the chair and he kept an eye on Ariel making sure she be ok.
There were few people he didn’t know personally. He saw Ryan and he was a good guy. He was going to come up with something but a female voice, someone he didn’t know crying out ‘we going to die’ he didn’t think that was part of the plan, he would make sure nothing was going to happen to Ariel. He felt her hand twinging into his and he smiled. “It’s going to be ok, I wouldn’t let anything happen to you. I would protect you I promise” he wouldn’t break this promise. He would protect her with his life, though he didn’t know this would be brought to light.
Jeremy kept hold of Ariel’s hand not letting it go as he saved her life once and he would do it again in a heartbeat. He looked into her eyes more “it’s going to be ok, you get out of this place I promise” Jeremy didn’t know he was able to keep that promise but he was willing to try with all his might. He then turned his focus back to the guy who lied to him, true Jeremy lied to him too and gave his father’s name but he didn’t trust the man. Now he had the perfect reason for that. Suddenly they weren’t in the warehouse anymore, there was a place which Jeremy didn’t know existed. It was scary too, but he was trying to remain brave for Ariel as he needed to be strong for her.
Jeremy couldn’t and wouldn’t believe him. Jeremy knew his parents wouldn’t do something like this. Was this the warnings he was getting when he met Sam in the woods? If this was true, Elena would have known about it, so he didn’t believe that for one second. “Your lying! My parents didn’t do such a thing, they would never do something like this! My parents loved us and wouldn’t do anything to harm us” Jeremy wasn’t going to believe this guy anymore, he lied to him once and that trust was no longer there. He knew his family was cursed, his sister had her own problems to deal with and he wanted to protect her from it.
Jeremy heard the other guy talking about letting them go, but he doubts this was going to happen. He needed to think on how to get out of this due to the fact he needed to get back home. His family needed him, he needed to get back on his aunt good side after what happened recently since he left out of the blue. He couldn’t do that to them again. “Please sir just let us go” secretly he didn’t care what happened to him, as longs he let Ariel go and not hurt her. If he was going to die here, he hoped his family would forgive him and be able to move on with their lives.

Ben hadn’t even known what was happening when he suddenly lost control of his own body and all that was left of the last hour now was a blur. He didn’t know who had brought him to the warehouse or why but he knew that it couldn’t be for a good reason. Looking around him he could see that the others in the room were all faces he recognised from school although he couldn’t say that he really knew any of them that well personally although he did know that one of them was Elena’s younger brother Jeremy. Some were in his year and would be graduating soon while others had another year ahead of them at Mystic Falls High. He could see straight away that most if not all of them had a chalice in their hand and there was a metallic smell in the air that could only mean one thing – the chalices were full of blood. Ben had felt something drawing him over to the table when he arrived but that at least he had been able to resist and now he was glad that he had done. As his gaze came to rest on John he was taken aback when the guy moved the chair that Jeremy was sitting in to the other side of the semi circle. Naturally he had questions but something told him that everything would become clear soon enough anyway. It was only when John turned his gaze on him that Ben realised that the guy’s eyes were yellow, something that his mind had perhaps been trying to protect him from seeing until he was ready, and as he said that his name wasn’t John, things started falling into place. “You’re Azazel,” Ben breathed. He had come across demons before during various hunts and they had been pretty easy to spot but this one was cleverer than most and he knew why. Azazel wasn’t like any other demon, he was a Prince of Hell and he was someone that his dad and uncle had already put an end to once. Ben was a good hunter but he knew that going up against someone like this wasn’t something that he could do on his own. There wasn’t one face among the other teenagers that he knew would be able to hold their own in a fight and he suddenly found himself wishing that Claire and Allison were there with him. Together they might have stood a chance but for now all he could do was try and find a way to get them all out of there and his eyes quickly surveyed the room around him as Azazel continued. The story he told was one that Ben had already heard before and as soon as his powers had started to manifest he had realised that the same thing must have happened to him that had happened to Sam, after all it was the only thing that made sense. He could see the shock on the faces of those around him and their protests weren’t a surprise either. “That doesn’t mean that he didn’t do something to force your parents’ hand like perhaps kill someone they loved and offering to bring them back in exchange though, does it?” he asked, knowing that the demon had done the same thing with his grandparents in order to force his grandma’s hand into making a deal with him in the first place. Every instinct was telling Ben to run but he knew that he couldn’t leave the others, nor could he do anything before he knew what Azazel was up to. It was for that reason that he stayed in place and his eyes widened as the room around them changed only to all of a sudden be replaced by a lit cavern with a cage at its centre. “Lucifer’s cage,” he breathed, recognising it at once. As before his gaze swept over his new surroundings, searching for anything that might be of use or any escape route they could all use. “You want us to break out Lucifer?” he asked, knowing that he shouldn’t really be surprised considering that that was Azazel’s goal the first time too. As one of the girls said that they were going to die, Ben shook his head. “We’re not going to die,” he assured the others, his voice sounding more confident than he felt in that moment as his hand moved to grip the angel blade that he always carried with him. He knew that it wouldn’t be capable of killing a demon as powerful as Azazel but he hoped that it might just slow him down a little if it came down to it. Either way, there was no way that Lucifer could be freed and he refused to let anyone die. “I’ve done that once and it isn’t fun, trust me.”AZAZEL

Azazel smiled, watched, nodded at young Ryan as he recalled the dream, the lasagna impregnated with the blood that was already running through the boy’s veins. Lifting his hands, Azazel gave a brief clap, aiming a finger at the boy to pin down the notion. ”Bingo, it’s the blood. It’s always been about the blood and what it can do for you. What’s running through all of your veins hasn’t been that piquant mix of your mother and your father in a very long time.” Honestly, it had been incredible what a few drops of demon blood could do to a growing child. If Sam had been here he could have demonstrated the burning need for it and the boon it brought for all of them. The finger changed direction to aim at Ben when he whispered his name. So many guesses hitting home. ”Or you could just call me papa,” he crooned. Too close to home perhaps.
Yellow eyes shifted to those already questioning what he’d told them. ”Your parents wouldn’t what, son?” he asked Adam, then cut his gaze to Jeremy as the boy yelled out. ”Offer up an open door to a man who could give them their heart’s desire. They did, they all did. It was how you came to be here.” The yellow grew cold as Ben began to talk around what he’d said, sliding the story sideways in a way that had Azazel sighing and biting down on his tongue. ”Now you’re really giving us a bad name. You have one point of view Ben, your father’s, that’s all. Maybe if he’d been a little different your mother wouldn’t have been so quick to make a deal of her own.” Damning her son, leaving him to follow in his uncle’s footsteps.
And the boy had it again. The rumble of sound through the group had Azazel shifting on his feet, rising from where he’d been sitting on the table when they’d all been transported. He moved quietly around the arc of them, hands still spread, indicating the cavern that would be their resting ground for the moment he supposed. ”You’re a sharp boy,” he told Ryan. ”That’s exactly where we are, but ladies and gentlemen, don’t believe everything you’ve been told about it.” Brows remained furrowed amongst some of the others, kids rising from where they’d been sat, seemingly stupefied by the news. Terra’s eyes were fixed on the cage though. Like Ryan she was putting it together quickly, the words snapping out of her mouth as tears began to sparkle in her eyes. ”You’re not going to die,” he bit out, shaking his head as the vampire’s plaything picked up on the news and began to question her. ”Well, not yet. You all will one day but you weren’t brought here for mass slaughter.” And that, he thought, was the downside to all of this, not being able to control just which gifts would surface. The clairvoyance was hit a miss, as much a curse as a blessing and this time there was a chance it would bring on mass panic.
They were already seeking comfort amongst themselves. The two he’d separated back in the warehouse were gravitating back towards one another, the girl slipping close to young Jeremy tangling their fingers together, him promising to protect her, as though that would save any of them. Yellow eyes rolled but he made no attempt to tear the two of them apart. He needed them on side for this, not shrieking over their impending deaths or down on their knees begging to be released. Azazel lifted his hands again, trying to ward off the desperation. ”None of us are going anywhere, not until we manage to do what we came here for. None of you are going to be harmed. We’re just going to all use our power to get that cage open and then you’ll all be going back home. Every ounce of what I put inside of you coming together to do some good.”” Biting his tongue, Azazel gestured at Ben, expending a little force of will to shut Ben up for a moment. ”What Ben said was right, we’re going to break out Lucifer but unlike dying, this will be fun. You’ll be rewarded for what you’re doing here. All of you in a line. Right here. When I say go, everything inside of you, every power Hell has given with you, you’re going to aim right at the cage.” He gestured impatiently, yellow eyes already sweeping the room. And when the time was right, the one thing that would spring that lock open would be here and ready.

[nospaces] [attr="class","biggieno"] [attr="class","textieno"] Ryan was right. It was the blood. Apparently all of their parents had made some sort of deal. They'd literally sold their children's souls to the devil. It didn't take a genius to add up what was going on. It was the blood. The blood was why he could do what he did. It gave him the power to boil someone's blood, to crush their heart with a touch and enough willpower to do so. Speaking of willpower there was also the mind control. With enough focus and anger it was enough to make someone shit... or rather piss their own pants. Maybe the fact that so much weird stuff had been happening to all of them was the reason why Ryan didn't smell any of it now. “It's true, I know it is.” Ryan replied as to how the others were so quick to not believe or have faith in their parents. Just when he was starting to have faith in his mother. “If someone is scared or desperate enough there's no telling who's soul they'll sell to get ahead. They sold us out.” Ryan said. “What did she want?” Ryan wanted to know even though the answer was poetic and it was ironic considering the relationship they'd had in the past. There were times when he'd wished that he was anyone else's son. Evidently it wasn't money. Their financial situation was proof enough of that, and the fact that Ryan's only mode of transportation was a bike that Stiles had helped to put back together. Stiles had to help him put a bike back together... that a bunch of bullies tore apart just because they could. [break][break]
Ryan was also right in that they were literally going to hell. He couldn't deny that he meant it literally and that it was happening. Even if the others were right, if they were going to die it wasn't like there was a way out of the cave that they were now in. They were literally in Hell, and this janitor wasn't named John, his name was Azazel and he said Lucifer. Lucifer as in the son of god Lucifer, the archangel that corrupted humanity. Unless his name was just Lucifer. That wasn't likely. Ryan had no choice, the others had no choice. “Chances are if we don't do this, he can make us.” Ryan said. “If he can make Jeremy sit down then he could make us hurt ourselves or each other.” He said. “If we do this, we get to leave right?” Ryan didn't believe it any more than the others did. [break][break]
There was no way out, and he hadn't woken up yet. This wasn't a dream or a nightmare. There was no blood filled lasagna. The best thing to do... the only thing to do was what Azazel said or possibly face worse. Anyway he'd already agreed to it. If he listened to the part of him that wanted to try and run chances were like Jeremy he'd probably find that he hadn't moved at all. Azazel said he needed them to break open the cage and considering the name alone sounded evil... if they resisted there was no telling what would happen. Making a move wouldn't work here. Ryan stepped up. He... no his mother had gotten him into a fine mess. If he survived this he was going to seriously thank her for unleashing the devil on earth.[break][break]

MY SOUL IS A CANVAS LET ME SPEAK TO YOU IN COLORS
How could any of them be calm? How could some try to even make sense of what was going on, when the visions of what was to come were dancing about in the future of her green eyes. She saw one by one, each of their throats slit. She had nightmares about it where she would wake up in a cold sweat, screaming. It was the main reason why she never got sleep. Even that night when Christian had stayed, the "dreams" had been so vivid. So real. Now here they were, in the cavern from her dreams. She painted this, she had just painted this. Her fingers curled tighter into the fabric of Adam's t-shirt as he begged the yellow-eyed man to let them go. Listened to others question and ask to be let go as well. But it was falling on deaf ears.
Azazel.
That was the name one of the kids called him, through the extensive research she had been trying to go through she came across that name in a few. But nothing to extensive human knowledge to be any familiar to her now than it was then. ”You’re not going to die,” he coaxed them, but the tone he used made her skin crawl as she pressed her lips into a tight line. The heat of the cavern being nothing that of warmer than it should have been as she chewed her bottom lip. Tasting the hint of the metallic blood she had sipped earlier. There was a surge running through her, that much she could tell and it felt as if the fire was truly burning at the center of her chest. Threatening to ignite. ”Well, not yet. You all will one day but you weren’t brought here for mass slaughter.” She shook her head as her green eyes fell to the cage again, watching an undistinguished shadow pace amongst the flames before sitting once more. Then returned her gaze back to Azazel. Listening to the continued pleads and begging of the others to be let go, but they weren't going to be let go. No... they were going to die, she knew it. Adam knew it. Her visions were never wrong... even if she couldn't see her own death, she always had a gut feeling that it would become. That this would be becoming.
”None of us are going anywhere, not until we manage to do what we came here for. None of you are going to be harmed. We’re just going to all use our power to get that cage open and then you’ll all be going back home. Every ounce of what I put inside of you coming together to do some good.” Terra's grip around Adam's arm tightened, hopping herself back a little and lightly tugging him away. As he gestured toward the one that seemed to know more about this than any of them, was he in on it? No... he was fighting for their safety. Their lives. ”What Ben said was right, we’re going to break out Lucifer but unlike dying, this will be fun. You’ll be rewarded for what you’re doing here. All of you in a line. Right here. When I say go, everything inside of you, every power Hell has given with you, you’re going to aim right at the cage.” But Terra slowly refused, tugging again at Adam's arm. If he's distracted by the other kids then perhaps she could find a way to get them away. But as soon as she had the thought one of the kids had responded.
“Chances are if we don't do this, he can make us.” Her eyes fell toward the brunette boy, green eyes staring at him incredulously before they slowly moved to the forming line. “If he can make Jeremy sit down then he could make us hurt ourselves or each other.” Her green eyes slowly moved back to Adam, then at Azazel. He wanted them to use their powers... and break the cage. She didn't believe him when he stated they'd be able to go home, it didn't mean they'd go home in the same condition they were in now. She had watched too many horror movies that fell upon that fine thin line of wording.
"If you want him out so bad do it yourself, leave us alone... we shouldn't be made to do something that our parents promised you to do. If anything make them do it if they are so adamant upon selling our fucking souls without OUR consent in the first place since some of our parents like to proceed to treat us like we're crazy for what YOU have done to us. Fuck that and fuck you!" She spat in anger and fear, she didn't want to die. She didn't want to be a part of the apocalypse she saw many times in movies and read within different versions of bibles. It all ended the same. The world wouldn't be as they knew it... there would be death... famine... fire... chaos and she refused to be a part of that. @greta

So many people were talking at once; she didn't even know who to listen to. If it wasn't one person, it was another. If it wasn't them, someone else was speaking. After the girl said that they were going to die, everyone seemed to disagree. Sure, they would die eventually, but not yet - it wasn't their time. She wanted to say that she didn't care about dying; she rather die at the hands of someone else than at the hands of her husband. She rather be dead than running. She wasn't scared to die, not anymore...as long as it was her way.
She swallowed, Azazel mentioned using their powers to break Lucifer out of his cage, and her eyes widened. She never realized this was what was at the end of the deal she had made with him. He was training them all to do something that shouldn't happen, shouldn't be real. There was no Lucifer or God...was there? And if there was...why did she only know of it now? She wanted to snort, God wasn't real so why would Lucifer be?
However, her words never came out because Terra from before started speaking, telling the man to break him out himself. Greta's eyes widened, her attention snapping towards the ginger. She knew her from a long time ago, and she never remembered her being this angry. Greta remained quiet, passive - she just wanted to get this over with and leave this life behind.

Given the fact that her room was in the basement and her parents’ room was located on the upper level of their home, Ariel seriously doubted that either one of her parents had the slightest clue that she was anywhere but safely tucked into her bed. Nothing about this whole situation made the least bit of sense to her and she was doing her best not to freak out over it. Having her fingers laced in Jeremy’s did wonders to make her feel calmer. She managed a shaky smile when he promised to protect her, but she didn’t know what he could realistically do, even given the powers he claimed he had, a fact she gave much more credence to after seeing him being shoved several feet backwards by an unseen force. Ariel swallowed hard when she heard the other girl crying out that they were going to die, her fingers trembling and growing cool in Jeremy’s. “My parents wouldn’t do anything to hurt me. They love me.” Of that one fact, Ariel was absolutely certain and nothing that Azazel said would ever change her mind. Luckily for her she had arrived late enough in the game that she had managed to avoid drinking any extra blood so the only power she had access to was limited given the time that had passed between her first taste of demon’s blood as a baby and today. “Lucifer?” Ariel squeaked, “As in the fallen angel from the bible?” Her grip tightened on Jeremy’s in response to Ben’s comment. “Oh God.” Ariel’s voice was a breathy whisper and her stomach roiled violently at the idea. She averted her eyes from the gaze, the flickering flames making the situation worse. ADAM HAWTHORNE

━ the first casualty of war is innocence ━
Adam never expected his night to take such a sharp turn. Before he had gone to bed, everything was so... normal. He felt alright for the first time in what felt like months and he had a really fun day with his dad. It was his free day off and Adam was already done with homework as well as everything, so nothing really stopped them from enjoying a good day with one another. He had taught his dad how to play with the xbox, he even convinced him to put on a VR headset and made him go on a rollarcoaster right. He had laughed in that day more than he had laughed in months. So why? Why did it suddenly take such a sharp turn? He had nothing wrong to deserve this... But then again, Azazel promised that they would go back home and that's all he needed. The thought of dying scared the young boy who felt like he had accomplished nothing in life. He just needed a second chance to really follow his own dreams, to show his dad the best version of him.
Adam stayed by Terra's side, his worry blooming in his chest. Her visions were hardly ever wrong and he knew that he trusted her way more than the man in front of them. He gripped her hand, his gaze desperate. Ryan was right. There's no telling what the man could do to them if they refused to obey him. His eyes widened when Terra suddenly started shouting at the demonic figure. He stood in front of her to make her look at him. "Terra, hey, please calm down, okay? Please. I don't want him to hurt you. Maybe, just maybe you're wrong this time." God, he prayed for her to be wrong.
"Let's just do what he needs us to do. I wanna go home, Terra, let's just.. try." Adam pleaded with her before he offered her a quick smile. His words were hushed, not all that loud and he wanted it to be that way. Adam soon moved to stand next to her again, giving her hand a gentle squeeze. They should at least try. Maybe it will work. He hoped so.

xx words: 490 | Jeremy kept hold of Ariel’s hand. He can see that it calmed her and he wanted to keep helping her. He would give his life for her. He didn’t know what this thing whatever he was really do with them, or if he was in fact going to let them go. He couldn’t believe it since he was lied too from the first meeting. He didn’t even touch his goblet which had blood in it, and in fact he kicked it over. He would use his powers for anything. He now starting to believe what they were indeed telling him. ‘Death was a warning. Someone always in danger of death. I never percidate my own. I saw Ariel’s death, that's why I could save her from the wreck. Then there was some stranger, but I couldn't get to him in time. I often saw him in my dreams too, why was the pattern?’ He thought silently in his mind, as his brown eyes watched Ariel’s, he so wanted to hold her into a deep hug, he wished he comforted her more.
Jeremy looked around the line, he remembered Ryan. BUt the others he didn’t know very well. ‘No I don't believe my parents do this. They loved us all. Elena would have told me’ he thought more as the demon (or whatever it was) tried to tell them all. They had some sort of demon blood in him, after being fed the blood when he was a baby. It kind of made him sick knowing this and he would have wanted it out of his mouth more. He couldn’t believe he had some one else blood in. He felt so violated in some way. He shivered as he thought about that more in mind. “Your lying. My parents wouldn’t do just of thing. If this was true, my sister would have told me as we never keep secrets from each other” he literally yelled at him.
Jeremy just want to go back home now. He didn’t want to be here, he didn’t belong here. He wanted to get Ariel safetly back home. ‘There actually a devil Lucifer? I thought that was some stories parents told their kids when they were bad’ no Jeremy refused to believe in that kind of thing, and he shook his head to this nonsense. “You had your fun of scaring us. I am not helping you do anything. If I do have powers, I am keeping them good purposes and nothing more. I wouldn’t become evil. I will not help you” he promised to that, as was going to resist much as he could. He do anything he could to prevent this guy from making him do anything against his will. He was going to be stubborn as a mule.

For a while Ben hadn’t wanted to accept that his mom had made a deal with Azazel but he’d had much longer to process it than any of the others had. Sam had told him a while ago whereas the rest of the kids were just finding out about it now and Ben couldn’t blame them for feeling shocked. He didn’t know what had caused his mom to make such a deal but he knew that she wouldn’t have done so unless she was desperate and he had a feeling that it would be the same for the other kids as well. There were some parents out there who would give up their first born for something that they really wanted and he honestly hoped that that wasn’t what had happened for any of the kids around him but he knew that it wouldn’t have been that way for him. His mom had been the only constant in his life while he was growing up and for a long time the two of them had only had each other. She had kept the truth about who his father was from him but he knew now that it had been so that Dean wouldn’t feel obligated to stay with them. Something like this was completely different and he knew that she wouldn’t have gone along with it if she had known what the consequences would be for him. As Azazel said that they could just call him papa, Ben’s expression turned to one of disgust. “You’re sick,” he spat. It had taken him years to find his dad and just the thought of calling someone else that was enough to make him sick to the stomach. He could tell that the kids were outraged and it was to be expected. Ben knew that he needed to find a way to get them all out of there but he wasn’t going to be able to do so on his own. He needed to get a message to his dad but being able to slip away long enough to do so was bound to be easier said than done but he knew that he needed to try. “Don’t you talk about my mom,” he growled, feeling anger starting to build up inside of him. “If that’s only my dad’s view on who you really are then why did you kill my grandma when she walked in on you feeding your blood to my uncle?” he challenged. No matter what Azazel said it wasn’t going to change anything in the teenager’s mind and he knew that the longer they stayed in his presence the more danger they were in. Getting out of the warehouse was one thing, albeit something that Ben had known couldn’t happen until he’d learned exactly what it was that Azazel was up to, but escaping Hell was something different entirely and Ben suddenly found himself wishing that Henrik was there. His friend had spent eight years living in Hell being raised by Crowley while he was growing up so he had to know every inch of the place but Ben knew that he was simply going to have to improvise. Ben felt a small amount of Azazel’s power engulf him as he continued telling them what he wanted them to do and Ben could already tell that it was something that he couldn’t hope to defeat on his own. It had taken his dad and uncle a long time to take Azazel down and it had taken his grandpa years before that as well. They had at least been prepared whereas aside from his angel blade and a gun containing some devil’s trap bullets Ben didn’t even have anything that would do more than slow him down a little. No matter what happened he knew that he wasn’t going to go down without a fight though, it wasn’t in him to just give up, and as Azazel kept on talking and the others spoke Ben chose that moment to slip away and out of sight. Pulling his phone out of his pocket he was relieved to see that he still had reception and his fingers danced quickly over the keys. Dad, Azazel has gathered the Special Children and is going to free Lucifer. You have to get to the Cage now he typed before hitting send. It would have been easy for him to stay out of sight and perhaps find a way to escape but he couldn’t bring himself to just abandon the others so it wasn’t an option. Instead he pocketed his phone before slipping back amongst the group before anyone even realised he was missing. “You’re wasting your time, there’s no way we’re helping you,” he said, glad that half the other kids seemed to be in agreement. If only there was time to tell them all what exactly had brought them here. They all wanted to know of course, all growing as desperate and their parents had been to find out exactly why they had been damned. In a way Azazel wished he could fill them in and see the walls holding each of them up right now crumble to sand. There was a risk in that though, in postulating for too long. He’d done it before and it had given the Winchesters the opportunity to kill him. Clucking his tongue instead this time, Azazel eyed Ryan, the boy with enough sense to call it true and shook his head. ”They did and you’re right. They were all desperate and I was their salvation, as I’ll be yours. The finer details don’t matter, this is all that does…” He spread his arms, turning slightly to indicate the fiery pit around them. What had brought them here didn’t matter, those years of ignorance, it was only what they could do with what they’d been blessed with that did. Ben didn’t seem to want to leave the others to remain ignorant however. The demon hung his head almost sorrowfully at the boy’s words. ”You’ve only got your father’s word on that. That’s not how it happened son.” Oh but it was. He might’ve explained further but they weren’t going to have their moment. Azazel stilled as Jeremy yelled again, a sneer twisting his lips for just a moment. ”Have you got another explanation Jeremy?” he asked coldly, raising his brows as he dared the boy to find one. His parents hadn’t fought against any of it, willing participants every step of the way.
Always one of the most astute Ryan had pegged the truth again. Azazel indicated the boy with one hand, nodding almost imperiously at him. ”Ryan here knows exactly what’s happening. He’s right about me being able to make you. My blood is your blood after all,” he told them breezily. ”I promised. You do as I ask and each of you gets to go free from here. No more hell, no more arm bending.” No more breathing or heartbeat either but none of them needed to know that now. Terra had yelled about it, warning them all that they were going to die but thankfully not all of them were listening. The demon clapped again, the sound ringing around them as he tried to force them into place to burst open like powered juice boxes. His little psychic was clutching at her friend, thankfully staying silent for the moment. They were listening to her, to Ben, they were the ones he had to break down here. Smiling at her despite the gritting of his teeth, Azazel shook his head ”It doesn’t work that way honey. There’s no snapping my fingers to make it happen this time.” All their parents had promised was access that one night, none of them had known a thing about this. Hearing Terra rail Azazel cursed under his breath and reached out with his power now, momentarily putting pressure on Terra’s neck to silence her. They were going to be made alright.
The boy was trying to counsel Terra, the sound of her furious words still ringing around the cave. It gave Ben the chance to slip away, his little aside not as secret as he’d thought. Golden eyes watched him, awareness prickling over his skin as Ben threw out an alarm with a phone he could’ve destroyed if it was necessary. Jeremy’s voice joined hers, all that youthful vigor thrown back at him in a way that had him laughing. ”What do you define as good son? Getting high? Being such a bad brother that you practically tore your sister’s heart out with your behavior?” He clucked his tongue, shaking his head as he split his attention, dragging Jeremy a few steps closer to the cage in preparation. As Ben pushed his way back amongst the others, telling him he was wasting his time Azazel merely grinned. He let go of Terra, even let go of Jeremy and shoved all that power at Ben. ”You think any of you can defy me?” he snarled at him, that mask finally slipping. Azazel laughed, stalking towards Ben as he lashed out with his power again and again, almost like whips of it lashing through the air to cut deep into that fragile human form. He could make the power gifted by the demon blood flow out of his veins, the torrent of it pouring towards the cage.
Satisfaction rolled through him as he saw blood begin to slip out of the boy. Not enough to break the cage open, not even enough to drive Ben to his knees but it should’ve been more than enough. Arrogance had him believing his plan was working again, he should’ve remembered to keep his awareness up at all times. Azazel’s mouth fell open as Ben made his way close enough. There was a flash of a blade and then it was biting deep into the chest of his meat suit. Falling to his knees his power stopped dead, lined hands rising, clutching at the blade as the kids began to move. He couldn’t tell which began to scatter and which didn’t, his only focus was on the Winchester in front of him. The demon’s lips curled into a snarl as the gun was pulled from Ben’s waistband. ”You think you can stop me with something other than the colt?” Laughter rose as power rose from the very ground again, the bullets caught in it as though they’d encountered a web. Slowly they toppled to the ground as a wind rose like a tornado. It spun around the kids, driving them back towards the cage as he pushed to his feet and pulled the blade slowly from his chest. ”Nice try kid.” Azazel lashed out with the blade, swinging the handle end straight at Ben’s temple, looking to knock him clean out cold. He already had the youngest Winchester’s blood, he just needed what flowed in the veins of the others now.

Normally Ben would have kept his mouth shut and not told anyone what had happened to his grandma but Azazel was trying to get him and everyone around him to break Lucifer out of the cage and he had to make them see that the demon couldn’t be trusted. There wasn’t a doubt in his mind that Azazel would kill all of them once they had done what he wanted but still some of the kids seemed to want to believe that he would stay true to his word and let them all go so Ben knew that he had to find a way to make them see that that was never going to happen and airing all of Azazel’s dirty little secrets at the moment seemed like the best way of doing that. If there was a way that he could have gotten through to them without opening their eyes to the supernatural world even more then he would have done it but it was far too late for that now anyway, the cat was already out of the bag and he knew that if he didn’t do something soon then it was only a matter of time before Lucifer was let out of the cage too. Whether his words were even having any effect on the other kids or not he wasn’t sure but he knew that he couldn’t just stand by and do nothing. Some of them seemed to be happy to go along with what Azazel wanted in the hope that they would live but others he suspected saw right through Azazel’s lies just like he did so if he could sow more doubts in any of their minds then it was something that he knew he had to do. He couldn’t blame the others for not wanting to believe that their parents were the cause of all of this, Ben hadn’t wanted to admit it either but he at least had the knowledge that his mom wouldn’t have known what she was agreeing to on his side. The two of them had been as thick as thieves his whole life so he knew that the guilt would have eaten away at her if she had known what would be done to him when she made that deal so he knew that it had to have been similar to the deal that his grandma had made with Azazel to let him into the house on a certain night all those years ago. “That’s exactly how it happened, you killed her. If we do what you want then you’ll have no reason to keep any of us alive and the world will be doomed.” There really wasn’t a doubt in his mind about that and he hoped that by now the others were at least starting to believe that it was true as well. He needed to get them out of there but that was going to be a lot easier said than done. The weapons he had on him would hurt Azazel and they would slow him down but he didn’t have anything that could kill him so he knew that he was going to have to choose his moment carefully and do as much damage when the time came as he could because he knew that he wasn’t going to get a second chance to do so. It was easy to slip away while Azazel was focused on the others and Ben did the only thing he knew that he could do – he sent a message to his dad. He knew that he and Sam were at odds right now but if there was anyone who could stop Azazel from freeing Lucifer then it was the two of them so he knew that he just had to trust that they would put their differences aside and get the job done. As a reply came from his dad to say that he was on his way and to stay safe, Ben felt relief flood through him. He needed to get the kids out of there but if he couldn’t do that then he knew that he just needed to buy them enough time for his dad to arrive. Pocketing his phone once again after sending a second text to his dad that read I’ll try. I love you dad, Ben slipped back into the group with ease just as Azazel dragged Jeremy closer to the cage. The boy didn’t seem to want to do as he was being told no matter what Azazel said to him and for that Ben was grateful. The next words out of his mouth came easily and for the first time the demon’s mask slipped. He was no longer the demon who would let them all go if they did what he wanted, his anger had gotten the better of him and his true colours were finally revealed. Ben could hardly move as Azazel sent all of the power he had been exerting on the others in his direction but he didn’t need to move too far for what he had planned. “I know we can,” he said defiantly before letting out a cry as waves of Azazel’s power hit him over and over and he bit his bottom lip to stop him from playing into the demon’s hands by making another sound. He could feel blood from the wounds flowing down to the ground and towards the cage but finally Azazel was close enough. Ben slipped the angel blade that he had kept hidden up his sleeve down into his hand and drove it deep into the demon’s chest as close to where his heart would have been as he could get, feeling like he could breathe again as Azazel’s power fell away from him. “It won’t stop him for long, run!” Ben yelled to the others, ignoring the pain from the wounds that Azazel had inflicted as he began to move round the cage. “Round the cage to the right and up to the far wall. There is a door at the end that will get us out of here,” he instructed, keeping himself between the kids and Azazel as the ones who weren’t sucked in by the demon’s lies took the opportunity to run. Looking back over his shoulder he saw Azazel beginning to get to his feet and Ben groaned, pulling out the gun he kept in the waistband of his jeans and firing off a few rounds of devil’s trap bullets, aiming mostly for Azazel’s head and heart. Again they wouldn’t kill the demon but they would hopefully keep him down until he could dig them out and that was all he needed. Ben had hoped that the angel blade would have kept Azazel’s powers down for a little longer, at least long enough for him to get the shots off, but the bullets stopped in the air before they’d hit their target and Ben cursed under his breath. “I knew they wouldn’t kill you but they would have slowed you down a little more,” he retorted before he too was dragged back towards the cage and everything went black as Azazel brought the handle of the angel blade down against his temple and knocked him out cold. @ryan

[nospaces] [attr="class","biggieno"] [attr="class","textieno"] It all happened so fast. Ryan knew that there was little chance that they would actually get out alive. The truth was that the way he'd been treated by most there were very few that missed him. And there was a little bit of a plus in whatever happened. He wouldn't be around for anyone to mess with him anymore. But there was something about Ben's words that kindled something in him. While the others had bullied him, Azazel had done something worse. He'd used him... used them for his own ends to unleash the devil from hell. The other kids were scared, and so was he. He didn't want to literally be here in hell, more like he wanted to bring hell to those that hurt him. Ryan never figured that it would be literally and there were those that didn't deserve it. People like Scott, like Stiles, like Alaric, like the other kids in this... hell, like his sister. None of them ever treated him badly and some of them were even friendly towards him. [break][break]
When Jeremy's sister was mentioned it made him think of his own sister. He knew their circumstances and if Jeremy died then it would have been just Elena left. With a mother like his that literally sold her firstborn to hell he didn't want to die and leave his sister at the mercy of whatever hell had planned for everyone. Ryan didn't want to do it anymore, but what was he going to do? If only one of his powers had been opening portals to and from hell. He was smart enough to know that considering Azazel gave him demon's blood then his powers wouldn't work on Azazel. The irony of it was that if he'd drank much much more of it then he would have a better chance of at least making a dent, possibly giving them enough time to get away. But where would they go?[break][break]
It was at that moment that Ben had made a move. He'd told them to run round the cage and up to the far end, where there was a door that would get them out of there. “We should move, now!!” As he ran by the cage Ryan could feel it. It wanted to get out, calling to him to open the cage but Ryan had to run. Ben made an effort to slow down Azazel even more and pulled out a gun and started to shoot at his head and heart. They were almost there and they would have made it if it hadn't been for the massive windstorm that seemed to come out of nowhere. Ryan suddenly felt himself being pulled back towards the cage, knocked on his back by the windstorm. Ryan turned himself around as he started to get up and looked face down at the ground as he realized that maybe there wasn't any escape from this after all. Even though Azazel was talking to Ben when he said “nice try” the words kind of cut him as well. [break][break]
He'd been one of those that had willingly fallen into the pit, even if his mother sold him out. Ryan let Azazel's words drag him down deeper, he felt encouraged by the demon that used the word “Papa” jokingly. Maybe it was fitting that whatever happened to him... happened first. Ryan's emotions were everywhere but he wasn't going to cry. He never cried, he always fought back even when he couldn't win. He always fought back. The Irony of it all is that the one time he wanted to fight and win he couldn't. [break][break]
Ryan was certain that Azazel wasn't going to let them leave, but it was clear that he at least needed them alive for a while longer. Appearing to be defeated Ryan stood up and started directing his powers at the cage. When the time came however, whether or not the others joined in unlocking the cage he was going to make one last move. Ryan was going to go down fighting. Maybe by some miracle at least someone would live to stop that bastard. “I guess I don't have to tell my mother I'll be waiting for her in hell.” Ryan laughed. “If Azazel is right we'll all get to see them soon.” Ryan would have thanked Ben if he could. They were probably going to die anyway but at least he remembered... when he got the chance... if it gave just one of them a chance. They knew where the door was at least. [break][break]

MY SOUL IS A CANVAS LET ME SPEAK TO YOU IN COLORS
She frantically shook her head at the reassurance that Adam gave her, it didn't feel right. It felt empty, the gesture was empty. She knew what was coming and they proceeded to not listen to her. She had seen it countless times, their deaths. Each one, in turn, throats sliced open. Blood splashing out in waves of crimson. Heard the coaxing whisper of the man in the cage. A man with gleaming red eyes and the shadow of a taller man, a man that was the instrument to their demise. "No... n-no, no no... Adam, you have to listen to me. You have to believe me! Everyone is going to die." She begged as tears clung to her lashes, falling as she clutched his shoulders. Tendrils of her auburn hair falling in her face. Sticking to her flesh as she stared at him frantically. "Terra, hey, please calm down, okay? Please. I don't want him to hurt you. Maybe, just maybe you're wrong this time."
Her bottom lip quivered as her eyes burned, stinging at his disbelief. "Please, Adam..." She begged, her green chipped fingernails digging into the fabric of his shirt at the shoulders. "Let's just do what he needs us to do. I wanna go home, Terra, let's just... try." She slowly released him as she shook her head, her tongue running along her drying lips. Wetting them again as she twisted herself around to snap at the demon before them. She refused to follow this thing and it seemed that she wasn't the only one. The male that was lashing back at the demon before them, Azazel was making just as much sense as she was. He wanted to get them out... she wanted to get them out, she wanted out. But the moment she parted her lips to retort, she felt a crushing pressure around her throat.
A choking sound escaped her throat as she clutched her throat, causing her to cough as she struggled to breathe. Tears welling in her eyes as heat waves emitted from her skin. Causing flames to scorch around her as she clawed at her throat. Feeling the bruising forming before as abruptly as the feeling in her throat appeared it ebbed away the moment the blade plunged into the chest of the creature. She heard the one that had harmed the demon to run, instructing them where to go and the then the other. The one that had been agreeing with the demon prior telling them to move. So what did Terra do, she didn't bother to take her time to breathe. She grabbed Adam by the wrist, hard. Yanking him with her as she tugged him along the path. Feeling the wind push at them but she tried her best, to keep herself grounded. But she fell backward, causing what little air was in her lungs to expel out as her back slammed hard into the corner of the cage. Causing her to wince at the sharp pain that seared through her being, her body throbbing as she twisted around to stare at the cage. Her hands pressing against the flames, unburning as it seemed to lick at her skin. Coaxing the ability of fire to flow through her fingertips as a gust of wind brushed her auburn hair back. Her flames the color of a starting ember, enveloping the cage as her green eyes slowly drifted in the direction of Adam. Then toward the boy that was now knocked out and the one that had told them to run prior, Ryan.
She drew her bottom lip between her teeth as she screwed her eyes sharply. It's okay... it's okay... it's okay.... it's okay...... i-it's... o-okay..... i..... isn't.... She thought as tears fell, the flames growing stronger due to her emotions. @greta

Many of the others her age started calling him sick, even going as far as saying they weren't going to help him. She even heard Adam, a kid that she had met at school and knew vaguely, was begging Terra to help for them to all go home. Did Greta want to help? No. Did she want to go home and run away? Yes. With Bartok back in town, after her deadly little run-in with him where she barely escaped, she wanted to get as far away from Mystic Falls as possible. But did she want to help this guy? Not in the slightest - but he continued to egg them on. 'They did, and you’re right. They were all desperate, and I was their salvation, as I’ll be yours. The finer details don’t matter; this is all that does…' Was he telling the truth? Had her parents been so desperate that they had called upon a demon? She wondered which parent was the one to make the deal...her dead mother or her bastard of a dead father? And then, one of the guys lashed out with a blade, sending it into the demon's chest. Greta's eyes widened, "Oh gods..." she breathed out nervous to even see what was going to happen. 'It won’t stop him for long, run! Round the cage to the right and up to the far wall. There is a door at the end that will get us out of here,'Could Greta run anymore? Maybe dying at the hands of someone that wasn't her husband would be easier. Perhaps it would bring a better death than the one likely brought about by Bartok. She could see it now, him torturing her and bringing her to the brink of death, only to save her to start all over again. With Azazel, this demon, maybe it would come swiftly and painless. Though she scattered with the rest of them, the moment that Ben was knocked out - many stopped. It was even the guy, Ryan she believed is what Azazel called him, thought of a joke at the moment. They were screwed, if Azazel could do what he did to Ben...he could do it to all of them. |
