Ric had been waiting such a long time for this and he knew that he should probably be nervous about it like he was the day that he married Isobel but this time was different, this time all he felt was calm. Getting married again wasn’t something that he had thought that he would ever want to do but Jenna had changed everything. They hadn’t exactly done things the normal way, after all marriage was meant to come before kids, but then again the two of them weren’t exactly normal either. He was a hunter while Jenna had been turned into a siphoner witch by those who were responsible for taking so many people around the country and turning them into something different entirely. After Isobel left Ric had wanted nothing more than to get revenge against the vampire that had killed her but now Damon was going to be standing up there with him that day alongside Kyle, Jeremy, Stefan and Dean. Ric had never thought that his life would become mixed up with the supernatural world in such a way but he knew that he didn’t want to change the way things were. He had learned to be much more open minded and see people for who they really were rather than just for what they were and those around him were starting to do the same. Now so many people were going to be there to see him and Jenna get married and he couldn’t wait. He hadn’t told anyone about having cold feet before he married Isobel but that wasn’t the case this time. For the first time in his life he finally felt like things were falling into place and he knew that the two of them getting married was the final step to making their family complete. To anyone that didn’t know them it probably looked like a mess but Ric loved it and he knew that he wouldn’t be without Jenna or any of the kids. The sun had started to set by the time Ric headed out into the garden. They could have held the ceremony anywhere but the home that they had built together was special for the two of them and it had only felt right that they should celebrate there with all of their friends and loved ones. The lights were already shining through the darkness that had started to descend when Ric took his place alongside the others and as the music started he looked up the aisle that they had created, the faces of all of those in attendance fading away completely as his gaze came to rest on Jenna and a loving smile formed on his face even as his breath caught in his throat. JENNA SALTZMAN(Noe and I are going to roleplay out the ceremony ourselves rather than having everyone post in it but we’ll do separate threads having them getting ready beforehand, the party after, etc. so they will be able to interact with everyone.)

Jenna still couldn't believe that today was the wedding day. It still felt surreal to her. She envied all the women out there who had passed through today without getting nervous or feeling those tingles in your stomach from awakened butterflies because she had been getting those ever since she woke up which was really early. She really felt grateful for the existence of her daughters, Elena, and Caroline in her life because they were the ones who helped her and calmed her down either with alcohol or reassuring words.
When she slipped into her dress, she realized that it was not a dream but reality. She was actually getting married today and it made her cry all over again which made Caroline scramble to fan her face so she wouldn't ruin her makeup. She calmed down again shortly after and with a look over to the girls, she nodded her head. "I can do this." And boy was she so ready to get married to Alaric. Was she so ready to be his wife and carry his surname. She was ready to spend her whole life with him and the girls because they meant the world to her.
Jenna slowly put her feet into her unusually uncomfortable high heels and finally started making her way out of her bedroom. She was so relieved that they had decided to do the wedding in their shared home because she felt at ease all thanks to that fact. Jenna made her way to the garden and soon enough, the music was changing into 'here comes the bride' played on the piano by one of their friends. She felt her stomach flutter again when her eyes settled upon Alaric. He looked beautiful. God, she realized all over again just how in love she was with Ric. She approached him slowly with tears gathering in her eyes all over again. As she stood in front of him, her eyes met his own. "Hey," she greeted softly with a gentle smile on her lips. "You look gorgeous." It was the truth. "This is all starting to feel real again." She breathed out with a chuckle following. It really did feel like a dream before. Now, it was starting to feel real. "We're doing this, huh?' Jenna said with a soft smile on her lips as she blinked her tears away.

Ric had been looking forward to this for such a long time. He knew that he and Jenna hadn’t exactly done things the usual way, after all he had proposed to Jenna on Christmas Day just a week before she gave birth to the twins. Even if she hadn’t fallen pregnant he knew that he would have asked her to marry him anyway, the life they had built together still took him by surprise sometimes but he knew that he wouldn’t have it any other way. Now all of them were living under the same roof and it only felt right that they should get married in the home that they had built together. Now they had their twins, his two kids and Elena and Jeremy as well and he couldn’t help but feel proud of everything that they had done. He knew that he should probably be feeling nervous about getting married again but this was so different to when he had married Isobel. He’d had his doubts back then and there were times when he had found himself wondering if he was even doing the right thing but he had buried those doubts because he had wanted to make things work with her. With Jenna he didn’t have to worry about any of that, with her it just felt right and he knew that this was exactly what he wanted. Hearing the music start to play was enough to have Ric looking up the aisle and he felt his heart hammering in his chest as Jenna made her way towards him. He had realised a long time ago that the love he felt for her was stronger than anything that he had ever experienced before and that had never felt truer than it did right now. His eyes were full of nothing but love for her as she made her way towards him and as she reached him his hand fell to her waist and he kissed her cheek gently. “Hey,” he said, a smile forming on his own face in return. “So do you, you look incredible,” he said sincerely. How he had ended up getting so lucky he wasn’t sure that he would ever truly understand but he cherished the time they had together and he was looking forward to being able to spend the rest of his life with her. “It is real,” he grinned, bringing his hand up and letting it rest gently against her cheek. “This is your last chance to change your mind if you’re having second thoughts,” he added, knowing that if she didn’t want to go through with this then he would rather know now. “Are you ready?” he asked as he took a half step backwards and held his hands out to her. So do you, you look incredible, It is real, This is your last chance to change your mind if you’re having second thoughts, Are you ready? Jenna felt a smile stretch her lips at Ric's words when he said that she looked incredible. "Thank you." She whispered in a soft voice. "The girls helped me pick it." Jenna said with a gentle smile resting on her lips, grateful for the girls' help. "Otherwise, I probably would have shown up in a terrible dress," Jenna chuckled, knowing that she might wind up choosing terrible things whenever she was nervous.
"Oh shut up. I've been dreaming about this moment for so long. I'm not gonna have cold feet now." Jenna said with a smile on her lips and when Ric stepped back, she realized that the ceremony was finally about to start and it made her heart jump all over again. God. She was so nervous. "I am. Are you?" Jenna asked as she reached for Ric's hands to gently hold them with her own. Her attention drifted to the priest, exchanging gentle smiles with him. Her attention moved back to the attendees, smiling gently at the sight of them with their happy smiles. It meant a lot to her to see all her family and close friends gathered here today. It made the event feel even more special.

Ric had been looking forward to this for such a long time, he really hadn’t thought that he would end up finding anyone again after his run of bad luck with relationships. Helen had kept the fact that he had children from him for years and Isobel had decided that a life as a vampire meant more to her than a life with him did. He had felt sure that if anyone did come into his life next that he would end up losing them too but Jenna was different. She had accepted him as he was, flaws and all, and she had embraced every part of his life including the children that he hadn’t known that he’d had. Now they had the chance to be together for the rest of their lives and he knew that he wanted to take it. Seeing Jenna making her way towards him after so many people that mattered most to them really did mean the world to him and as she said that the girls helped her pick the dress, he felt a smile work its way across his face. “You’ll always be the most beautiful woman in the world to me but that dress is perfect,” he admitted, knowing that the memory of Jenna standing here before him now about to become his wife was something that he was never going to forget. “I’m glad to hear it,” he chuckled before shaking his head as she asked if he was having cold feet. “Not at all. I’m not even nervous because I know I’ve finally got it right this time,” he admitted as he took Jenna’s hands in his. Glancing around at their loved ones, his smile grew as he realised that everyone that mattered to them was there and he gave Jenna’s hands a gentle squeeze as the priest said that they had written their own vows and invited him to go first. The piece of paper was tucked away in his pocket in case he needed it but as his eyes met Jenna’s he knew that he wasn’t going to have to use it as the moment he opened his mouth the words started pouring out of him of their own accord. “I wasn’t looking for love when you came into my life but you managed to see past the mess that I was. You’ve helped me become a better version of myself and I know that without you I wouldn’t be the man I am today. Falling in love with you has been an adventure, one that I could experience a million times over and it would still never be enough, and building our family together is something I’ll never forget. We’ve had our ups and downs but we’ve got through it all together. Now we’re surrounded by all of the people we love and I’m looking forward to starting my forever with you. I love you for all that you are, all that you were and all that you are yet to be.
I vow to never forget that this is a once in a lifetime love. I will love you now and forever no matter what life throws our way. I promise to always be there to pick you up when you’re feeling down and to comfort you when things get too much. I will be your rock to lean on, your shield to keep you safe and your sounding board when things don’t make sense. I promise to always make sure that there is ice cream in the freezer for those late night cravings and wine in the fridge at the end of a long day and I’ll make sure that the kids tidy up after themselves – yes I mean you Kyle. I found more than I was bargaining for when I met you and I promise that for as long as I live you will never be alone. You are my soulmate, the love of my life and my best friend. You are my home and I will always find my way back to you so I’m glad we finally get to make this official. With this ring, I vow to love you until my last breath and to continue loving you for an eternity after that,” he said, only tearing his gaze away from Jenna’s to slide the ring onto her finger. “I, Alaric James Saltzman, take you, Jenna Mae Sommers, to be my lawfully wedded wife.”JENNA SALTZMAN

You’ll always be the most beautiful woman in the world to me but that dress is perfect, I’m glad to hear it, Not at all. I’m not even nervous because I know I’ve finally got it right this time, Jenna's cheeks heated up a little at Alaric's comment, feeling her heart speed up almost immediately. "Thank you," Jenna whispered in a soft voice, her eyes focused solely on her lover and soon-to-be husband. God, she loved him. She loved him more than words could ever begin to describe. There was simply something so ... breath-taking about him. Something so, so warm. He made her feel so safe. He made her feel loved. Her gaze softened at his words and how sincere they were. "I'm really happy to hear that," she said in a soft voice, her eyes still focused on her lover.
And whatever hopes she had to not cry and ruin her makeup were all ruined the moment Alaric started speaking his vows because they really were everything she needed to hear. They made her feel so warm, so loved. She had never been this happy as she chuckled and reached her hand up to wipe her tears away. Jenna had never been this in love with someone before and there was just something about his words that made her feel relieved and so happy. She almost wanted to pinch herself just to make sure she wasn't dreaming right now.
"Oh god, I haven't cried like this in a while. But they're happy tears, I promise." Jenna breathed out with a soft chuckle following as she wiped her tears away, mindful of her makeup. She wanted to save what was left of it, anyway. "Okay," she took a deep breath in hopes of calming down a little bit and then released it slowly. "After my terrible relationship choices, I thought that maybe love was just not it for me. I thought that maybe I was just destined to be alone forever. I had such a terrible taste in men, but then you came along and you were my lifeline. You were the reason I started thinking highly of myself after thinking terribly of myself for such a long time. I thought that maybe I deserved these terrible men. That I wasn't worthy enough of a healthy and good relationship but you showed me. You showed me that I deserved it and every single day with you had been a happy one ever since. You were there for me through thick and thin. You gave up your time and your energy to help me when I needed help the most and I made a promise within myself to always be there for you when you need help the most. I want to be your wife, someone you can count on. I want to be your best friend, and I want to be your family and your backbone. I want to be there for you when things get hard and I want to be there with you when you're happy because truthfully? Your smile brightens up my whole day, Alaric Saltzman." Jenna said with a soft smile resting on her lips, her tears shining in her eyes.
"You're my comfort, my safe haven, and you're my everything. There's something about you that makes me feel so safe and so brave. With you, I feel like I can face every hard challenge out there knowing you will be right there with me, comforting me and helping me every step of the way. You make me want to be a better person, a better mom, and a better wife. I don't know what I'd do without you in my life, Alaric." She looked down at the ring that Alaric slipped onto her finger. "And I, Jenna Mae Sommers, take you Alaric James Saltzman to be my lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part." She grasped her ring and gently slid the ring down onto Alaric's finger.

Ric couldn’t believe that this day had finally come. He knew that they had done things the wrong way around, he had proposed to Jenna a week before the girls were born and they had moved in together before that. Now their family had grown even more since the twins had joined them and they were finally getting married surrounded by their friends and family. It was something that he had wanted for a long time, even before the two of them found out that they were expecting the twins, and he had been carrying the ring around with him for a long time while he tried to find the perfect time to ask Jenna. He had eventually settled on Christmas Day, their first Christmas together as a family, the truth was that he didn’t regret it one bit. They had been through so much during their time together, that year alone they’d had to deal with the girls being aged up by a spell and a rush to get the Salvatore School opened early so that kids like Lizzie and Josie could have somewhere safe to study and learn more about what they were, but they had handled everything life threw at them together the same way they always did and he was looking forward to starting the next chapter of their lives together. Watching Jenna make her way towards him, Ric felt like the luckiest guy in the world. Seeing Jenna start to cry, Ric let his hand rest gently against her cheek. “Sorry, I know you don’t like crying,” he chuckled, his eyes full of nothing but love for the woman before him. He had been in love before but never like this and he knew that he had finally found the person that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. He’d thought that he’d found that before but as it turned out he couldn’t have been more wrong. He didn’t regret it though, his first relationship had brought him the kids and his failed marriage to Isobel had brought him to Jenna. He hadn’t planned on falling in love with her but it had happened before he had known it and he couldn’t be happier. He knew that Jenna had had her fair share of failed relationships as well and they had found each other when they had needed it the most. It was only meant to be a bit of fun to begin with but it had quickly become more than that and it had all been building up to this moment. Hearing Jenna say her vows was enough to bring a smile to Ric’s face and he felt his own eyes sting with tears that he quickly blinked away. “You’re nearly setting me off,” he chuckled, longing to kiss Jenna but knowing in that moment that he needed to wait a little while longer. Jenna’s words were perfect and he knew that she meant every word. Watching her slide the ring onto his finger, Ric’s smile widened and he lifted his eyes to meet Jenna’s as the priest pronounced them husband and wife. “I love you so much, Mrs Saltzman,” he said, his hands falling to Jenna’s waist as he pulled her to him and kissed her passionately. Sorry, I know you don’t like crying, Jenna felt a soft smile appear on her lips at his words before she shook her head a few times. 'S'okay. Today's a special day, so I'll let it pass," she joked in a light-hearted voice, her voice still filled with so much love for the man in front of her and as they exchanged vows, Jenna realized for the umpteenth time just how lucky she actually was to be able to get married and have kids with the man she loves more than anything. She was incredibly lucky to be able to build a home with him and she truly felt like the luckiest woman alive because of it.
Jenna's eyes softened when she saw the tear slide down Alaric's cheek. "Sorry," she apologized, her voice still sincere. "I'm stopping now, I promise." Jenna said with a chuckle following as she reached her hand up to wipe her own tears away a second time. God, she knew that her makeup was ruined by this point but she wasn't going to explain, not when she felt so happy right now. So lucky. So loved.
"And I love you more than words could ever begin to describe, Mr Saltzman," Jenna leaned in and kissed him with passion in the way she moved her lips, her hands cupping his cheeks with tenderness. Now, they were husband and wife and it felt so surreal because she had been dreaming about this moment for a long time now. It felt absolutely surreal to finally be able to go through it. When they parted, her eyes settled on her husband. "We did it. We're married," she breathed out with a grin following. "We did things backwards a bit, but... I was never a fan of cliches anyway," Jenna was talking about them having kids first and then getting married.

It felt to Ric like it had taken them a long time to get to this point but the truth was that he couldn’t be happier. He and Jenna had had their ups and downs and for a while he had thought that she might not forgive him for keeping her in the dark about the supernatural but now they had managed to work through all of that. They were already living together and they had built a family together and Ric knew that they could have stopped there. He hadn’t thought that he would end up wanting to get married again after what happened with Isobel but with Jenna things were completely different. He had found the love of his life in her and the two of them were already completely committed to each other but now they were making it official and he knew that he wouldn’t have it any other way. When he was younger he had always wanted to get married and have a family of his own and even though they had done things the wrong way around that really didn’t matter to Ric. He loved Jenna and she loved him and they both loved all of the kids so he knew that he couldn’t ask for anymore than that. Now Ric couldn’t stop a smile from forming on his face as Jenna said that she would let it pass since it was a special day. They were surrounded by their family and friends as they exchanged vows and Ric couldn’t deny that he was glad they had the chance to do that. Mystic Falls was dangerous and there was always so much going on in the town that could have torn them apart but it had only made them stronger and it had made him realise that he didn’t want to take any of the time that they had together for granted. “Good because I’m an ugly crier,” Ric chuckled. It wasn’t something that he did very often and he knew that the last thing he wanted was to end up doing that in front of the people who meant the most to them. Kissing Jenna back with just as much passion, Ric’s smile returned at her next words. “We did, I can’t believe it,” he admitted. This time felt different than before, it felt right and he couldn’t shake the feeling that this was how things were meant to work out all along. “I’m not either, we’ve always done things our own way and that’s not going to change. It makes life interesting,” he grinned as he leaned forward and rested his forehead lightly against hers. “I can’t wait to see what our future is going to hold.”JENNA SALTZMAN

Good because I’m an ugly crier, Jenna chuckled at Ric's words before she shook her head. "You're never an ugly anything, Ric." She said in a soft voice while looking up at Ric with a certain tenderness in her eyes. "Never." She repeated a moment later as she let her thumb trace gentle circles over his cheek. "You hear me?" She said in a soft voice, her eyes still focused on her lover.
I’m not either, we’ve always done things our own way and that’s not going to change. It makes life interesting, I can’t wait to see what our future is going to hold.
Jenna felt a soft smile appear on her lips at Ric's words before she nodded her head a few times in agreement. "You're absolutely right. It's not going to change. It always keeps me on my toes as well, which is something I really like." She said in a soft voice, her eyes still focused solely on Ric. "I know it's going to hold great things for us." Jenna said in a soft voice. "Now, uh... do you wanna try out the cake? Crying kinda made me hungry." Jenna joked with a chuckle falling from her lips.

Ric had thought that he’d managed to get it right the first time with Isobel but he couldn’t have been more wrong about that. Their relationship had had its ups and downs but in the end they were just too different to make it work. He hadn’t thought that he would end up getting married again but he hadn’t planned on Jenna coming into his life either. In the past his relationships hadn’t worked out for various reasons and while it was true that the two of them hadn’t always had the easiest time of it either they always came through for each other when it counted. They supported each other and looked out for each other and that was what made this relationship different. With Jenna he knew that she loved him unconditionally and he felt the same way about her. He’d never experienced a love this deep before and he knew that this time he’d finally managed to get it right. “I’ll take your word for it,” Ric grinned as Jenna said that he wasn’t an ugly anything. He didn’t really believe it for a minute, he knew that he was a mess when he cried but he knew better than to argue with Jenna, especially now on their wedding day. As Jenna spoke again, Ric leaned forward and pressed a gentle kiss to her lips. “We can’t have things becoming boring now then,” he said, knowing that given the way things were in Mystic Falls then their lives were going to be anything but boring. Just a few months ago Josie and Lizzie were babies they were bringing home from the hospital but now the two of them were teenagers because of a spell, Ric had learned a long time ago that just about anything could happen so he knew to make the most of it all while he had the chance. “Definitely. We have our whole lives ahead of us and I’m looking forward to spending every day of mine with you,” he admitted. A couple of years ago he hadn’t thought that he would have any of this but things really had worked out for him and he knew better than to take that for granted. As Jenna spoke again, Ric couldn’t help but laugh. “Sure, I know how you get when you’re hungry,” he teased. JENNA SALTZMAN

I'll take your word for it. Jenna felt a soft smile appear on her lips when Ric told her that he'd take her word for it. "Okay, good." She nodded her head a few times. "You definitely should." She added a moment later. "Because we both know that I don't lie, so. That was one hundred percent the truth." Jenna said with a grin resting on her lips as she leaned up to press a kiss against Ric's cheek. "Oh, please. I hardly doubt our life will ever get boring." Jenna told him with so much confidence in the tone of her voice because she definitely believed that. She believed that they will be able to keep their lives interesting for a long, long time until they're old and wrinkly and unable to do anything fun without hearing their bones crack.
"Me too, Ric. I really look forward to spending the rest of my life with you. I'm ready to spend it loving and cherishing you and the girls. You've given me everything I could ever ask for and that's a family of my own. Two beautiful girls that I'd give up the world for." Jenna's lips stretched to form a soft smile that was sincere and so full of love.
A chuckle left Jenna's lips as she nodded her head a few times. "I'm glad you do." She took his hand in her own and began leading him to the cake where they held the knife together and cut the cake, taking a slice to share. She made her way to their own table and sat down with Ric by her side as she grabbed her fork to cut a piece of the cake so she could move it closer to Ric's lips. "Open up~"

Ric hadn’t thought that he would ever find someone who would make him want to get married again after what happened with Isobel but the truth was that his relationship with Jenna was so much stronger than any that he had ever been in before. She knew all about the things that had happened in his past and she loved him regardless. She made him a better version of himself and he knew that he wouldn’t have been able to step up and be a parent to Kyle ad Abby the way they’d needed him to or open the school without her. He had always wanted to have a family of his own but when he arrived in Mystic Falls he was a mess and Jenna had helped him turn his life around. He owed her so much and he knew that he would never be able to even come close to repaying her for everything that she had done for him but he knew that he would spend every day of his life trying to make her as happy as she made him. “Of course it is,” Ric chuckled as Jenna said that what she’d said was the truth. He didn’t believe that for a moment but he knew better than to argue with her now considering that it was their special day. It still seemed surreal that they’d just tied the knot surrounded by the people who meant the most to them in the world but he knew that it was a day that he was never going to forget for all the right reasons. As she said that she didn’t think that their life would ever be boring, Ric couldn’t help but smile. “Not even when we’re old and grey sat on the porch watching our great-grandchildren play in the garden?” he teased, knowing full well that even then he would never grow bored of his life with Jenna. She was everything that he had always wanted in a partner and so much more and even though he’d experienced heartbreak in the past he knew that it had all led him to this moment and he knew now that it wasn’t a bad thing. “I still can’t believe we got that lucky with them,” he admitted as Jenna mentioned the girls. They really were incredible and even though their memories of them growing up were fake, that didn’t make him cherish those memories any less. It didn’t take them long to cut the cake and once that was done they headed back to their table. Wrapping his arm around Jenna’s shoulders, Ric couldn’t help but laugh as she told him to open up. “We’re being that couple, huh?” he teased before doing as she asked and taking a bite. “Mmm, that was definitely the best choice,” he admitted before picking up the second fork and lifting a piece of cake to Jenna’s mouth. “Your turn.”JENNA SALTZMAN

Not even when we’re old and grey sat on the porch watching our great-grandchildren play in the garden? Jenna let out a chuckle at that before she shook her head, her grin still evident on her lips. "Nope, not even then. I have a feeling I'd be even more in love with you then." Jenna said with her grin still on her lips. "I can't wait to have that life with you. I can't wait to grow old by your side and always have you right there with me. Through it all. It'll be absolutely amazing. I'm looking forward to every second of it, Alaric Saltzman."
I still can’t believe we got that lucky with them, We’re being that couple, huh? Mmm, that was definitely the best choice, Your turn.
"Right? I always thought luck was something that I wasn't born with. Then I met you and the girls came along and now I really do think that I'm the luckiest woman alive." She said with a soft smile resting on her lips, her eyes focused solely on Ric and one could tell just how in love she was with him from the way she was looking at him with so much tenderness in her gaze. "Oh, yup. It's our big day, so we're definitely allowed to be that couple." Jenna said with a chuckle falling from her lips. "Right? It looks and smells absolutely delicious, too!" Jenna opened her mouth when it was her turn to be fed a bite of the cake and once she had her bite, she hummed delightfully. "Oh my god, that's absolutely delicious. Best choice, indeed."
Once they were done with the slice from the cake, it was time for the dance. Which was something that Jenna was definitely looking forward to. "May I have this dance?" Jenna asked with a grin locked on her lips, her eyes focused solely on Ric.

“So am I, Mrs Saltzman,” Ric said, a smile forming on his face as he looked over at Jenna. There was pure happiness in his eyes as they met hers, this was something that he had never thought would be on the cards for him after Isobel left but Jenna had helped him realise that he deserved to be happy. She had taken a chance on him when so many others would have turned their backs on him long before now and she made him want to be the man she deserved each and every day. He had cut back on drinking after Abigail and Kyle had come into his life and he didn’t take risks the way he used to. Back then he hadn’t had anything to lose or anyone to really miss him after he was gone but now he had so many people in his life that he loved and he knew that he would fight every day to make sure that he and Jenna had that kind of a future together. Their lives were complicated, that was for sure, but the love they shared wasn’t and he was glad that they’d had the chance to make it official. “It was the same for me. Nothing felt completely right until you came along but then I met you and everything seemed to fall into place.” Jenna had been there for him through everything that had happened with Isobel and the kids, she had supported him and welcomed Kyle and Abigail into the family with open arms. Adding the twins to the mix wasn’t something that they had planned on but not a day went by when he wasn’t glad that they had done. A lot of their memories of their time with the girls might be fake as a result of the spell that still lingered over Mystic Falls but Ric still cherished all of those memories, real and fake alike. “You’ve got a point there,” Ric chuckled as Jenna said that it was their big day so they were allowed to be that couple. “Maybe we should save some of that for tonight,” he said, his smile turning playful as he looked over at his wife. Soon enough they had finished with the cake and Ric nodded as Jenna asked if she could have this dance. “I thought you’d never ask,” he teased, taking Jenna’s hand in his and twirling her around before leading the way out onto the dance floor. He would be the first to admit that he wasn’t the best dancer in the world but he knew enough to know how to avoid stepping on her toes and he held Jenna to him as they danced, letting himself get lost in the pure happiness of the moment as everything else around them fell away leaving just the two of them there.
