━ i tasted endless love that takes control.━
Tomas released a small sigh for the umpteenth time, staring at the text on his phone. On it, he had a chat open. A group one, to be exact. They were his colleagues from work and they were all talking about how Tomas doesn't know how to enjoy his days off because even on his day off, he's asking about the progress on the latest case. He protested at first, adamant to prove that he does know how to relax and unwind on his days off but they all brushed it off and laughed instead, clearly not believing him a single bit. Did he blame them for it? Not in the slightest, no. Because deep down, he knew they were one hundred percent right. Tomas had always been addicted to his work and most of the time, he used it to escape everything else. It helped him, not only mentally but physically, as well. But now that he's in his rather small apartment, all on his own, he was bored but also surrounded with uncertainty and too many voices in his head telling him untrue things about his sister and her whereabouts. He felt the phone vibrate in his hand and that seemed to be enough for him to snap out of his thoughts, his eyes relaxing on the device to read the text, frowning slightly as more teasing followed. He took the bait and told them that he was going to prove that he could have fun and so, they invited him out for drinks with them later on tonight.
In an instant, he found himself almost typing 'no, you don't have to' but he knew that it was too late already and no matter how hard he tries to get out of this, he won't be able to. Tomas released a small grumble and just reluctantly agreed. In the meantime, he did everything he could to pass the time. He worked out, ate, cleaned up his place until it was dust-free and only then did he sit down and watch some TV. Once he got a text from them saying they had arrived, he pushed himself up and began making his way to his bedroom so he could change into a simple shirt and jeans, not really feeling the need to be extravagant or anything like that since it was just a bar.
Once he was finally done, he grabbed his keys and phone before making his way out of the apartment, the door closing gently behind him. He locked it after him and once he was done, he began making his way to the elevator only to notice a sign on the elevator door saying it was under maintenance. With a small sigh, Tomas turned around and began making his way down the stairs. He lived on the third floor, so it wasn't that far. He began making his way to the Grill once he was out of the complex, his eyes curiously scanning his surroundings and when a few people noticed him looking, he was quick to offer a kind smile and a nod of his head in a greeting manner, just so they don't feel like he was watching them creepily. Tomas pressed his palm flat against the door and proceeded to make his way inside, looking around for his colleagues and once he was able to spot them, he waved and headed over to where they were sitting. It was a fun time, really. He didn't regret joining them which was definitely a good sign. He felt quite relaxed and it instantly reminded Tomas of just how hard-working those people were. They were so passionate about their job and Tomas admired that. It seemed like, for once, he had managed to find his crowd.
Once his drink was finished, he excused himself to head over to the bar to ask for a refill. He sat in front of the bar in the meantime, both elbows resting on the table. Tomas looked around him for a moment or so, just to pass the time really and that was when his eyes relaxed on someone. He definitely did a double take because for a moment, his eyes moved past him but quickly relaxed on him again. He was good-looking and exactly the type that Tomas would go for. He looked over at his shoulder to check what his colleagues were doing and once he was certain that his presence won't be missed, he cleared his throat and looked back at the guy. "Hey," he greeted, his voice soft because the last thing he wanted to do was come on a little too strong.
God.
His case was dire, wasn't it? He already had no idea what else to say because this was his first time ever initiating a conversation that could very well lead into a hook up if the other does swing his way and if he's interested in him.
Oh god, that's a lot of 'if's.
"Wanna have a drink? I mean, I have a drink already but... I could get you one. If you want."

When Diego learned that his brother and Ethan were getting married he hadn’t realised that he would end up moving to Mystic Falls and going to stay with them but after putting his trust in a hunter who had ended up turning on him the moment he had learned the truth, Diego had known that he just couldn’t stay where he was. That was the first time that Diego had started to think that he might have found someone that he could love, it was the first time that he had confided in someone he wanted a future with about what he was, and he would be lying if he said that it didn’t make him wary about trying again. Ever since arriving in Mystic Falls he had taken to going out some nights and he’d had a few one night stands but that had been about it. He was still living with Antonio and his family so he always made sure never to take any guys back with him and disrupt their home but that didn’t mean that he wasn’t still able to have a bit of fun. He could have moved in with his parents or gotten a place of his own after he landed the job at the firehouse but the truth was that he liked being around his brother, brother-in-law and the kids. They had all made it clear to him that he was welcome to stay for as long as he wanted and they hadn’t tried to get rid of him yet so he was happy where he was. It meant that he was able to stay with the kids if his brother and Ethan wanted to get away for a while and it also gave their parents more time to get their heads around everything. They had eventually decided to attend the wedding and Diego was glad that they had done but he knew that having one son married and another who had come out to them as gay was sure bound to take some getting used to so he was doing his best to give them some space. He had at least had the chance to settle in and the truth was that he liked Mystic Falls so far. He had learned from Ant that there were hunters in town and there were plenty of supernaturals too and while dragons were rare and some of their kind had once been hunted for sport, his family was incredibly careful and they liked to fly under the radar as much as they could. They all had friends in town who were supernatural but they were always cautious about letting people find out what they were, Diego more so than ever after the last guy he’d dated had turned out to be a hunter. He knew that he wasn’t in a rush to make that same mistake again so it was easier to keep things light and make sure that there weren’t any strings attached. That evening he and some friends from work had decided to go out for some drinks and he had excused himself to go and grab another drink when someone spoke to him and as he turned to look at the guy, he felt a smile form on his face as he realised just how handsome he was. “Hey,” he said, his smile widening as the guy asked if he wanted to have a drink. “Sure, I’d like that. I’ll have a whiskey, thanks,” he nodded. “I’m Diego,” he added, knowing that if the guy was going to buy him a drink then the least he could do was offer up his name even if nothing else came of it. “Are you here on your own or are you with someone?”TOMAS SILVA

━ i tasted endless love that takes control.━
The guy next to him was exactly his type which made him feel like his heart was speeding up before he reminded himself to calm down and focus on keeping his cool so he doesn't look like a total dumbass in front of the other. A small smile tugged at the corner of his lips when the other accepted his offer which made him feel a little hopeful, but he also knew he wasn't going to push it if the other didn't swing his way or wasn't particularly interested in hooking up. He wasn't a douche like that. Tomas looked over at the bartender, flagging him down with a raised hand and a two-fingered wave. Once he had managed to capture the bartender's attention, he leaned forward on his elbows to lean a bit closer so he could hear him better over the loud noises in the background. "Whiskey, please. Thank you." He offered a small smile to the bartender before his attention turned back to the other.
The question of the other's name was resting on his tongue and he had almost said it out loud but the other beat him to it and introduced himself as Diego. "Nice to meet you, Diego." He said with a small smile resting on his lips. "I'm Tomas." He introduced himself back, his eyes still focused on him, unable to look away from him. God. He was beautiful. "Oh, I'm here with my colleagues from work." He gestured behind him with his thumb before he shrugged his shoulders. "But they won't miss me for a while, they're too busy arguing about whether cereal is a soup or not." Tomas found himself chuckling at that because honestly, they were the type to argue over almost anything. "What about you? You here on your own or with somebody?" He questioned before his attention momentarily turned to the bartender who placed Diego's drink down in front of him. He moved it closer to Diego with a small smile before his attention returned to his face -- his very gorgeous face.
God, please don't make me screw this up. He's too pretty.

Diego had been reluctant to get involved in anything serious after what happened last time so one night stands at most had become the norm for him. It had taken him a while to come out and now that he had he knew that he didn’t want to go back to the way things used to be where he had to keep who he was with a secret but after opening himself up to a guy and revealing what he was only to have that guy turn out to be a hunter and try to kill him had knocked his confidence to say the least. Needless to say flings where there was no chance of any feelings getting involved seemed to be the way to go for Diego even if deep down he longed to find what his brother had found with Ethan. He knew that it had taken his brother over a hundred years to find that but Diego had always been the kind of guy who liked having someone else around while his brother had always seemed perfectly fine on his own. A part of him wanted to know what it would be like to be in a relationship that he didn’t have to hide but after what had happened before he was scared and he wasn’t sure if that was going to change any time soon. That didn’t mean that he couldn’t still enjoy the company of the incredibly handsome guy that had started talking to him for as long as he could, though. Diego had never really thought of himself as the kind of guy to have a type before but this one seemed to tick all of the boxes for him and unless he was reading the signals completely wrong then the guy seemed interested so Diego was eager to see what might happen. Watching as his companion ordered a drink for him, Diego couldn’t stop himself from checking the guy out while he was distracted ordering a drink and he realised that his earlier thoughts about him had been right after all. Offering up his name came easily this time for some reason and Diego felt his smile return as the guy offered his name in return. “It’s nice to meet you too Tomas,” he said, only tearing his gaze away from the man when he pointed in the direction of his colleagues. “Is that so? It sounds like you’re missing a very important debate there,” he teased. “So tell me, soup or not?” he added, his smile turning mischievous as his gaze fell upon his companion once more. “I’m here with some friends from work,” he said as he pointed in their direction. “The two guys closest to us are by brother and his husband, we work together,” he explained, rolling his eyes as Ant caught his eye and mouthed that he should go for it after seeing him talking to Tomas. “They won’t miss me either and to be honest I’m happy right where I am,” he added as he turned back to look at Tomas before lifting the glass to his lips and taking a sip. “Next round’s on me, if you’re interested.”TOMAS SILVA

Is that so? It sounds like you’re missing a very important debate there,
Tomas let out a chuckle at that before he adapted a thoughtful expression as he glanced over at them one more time. "Oh, definitely. Can't believe I'm going to miss the answer to that." He pretended to be disappointed but then a small smile formed on his lips which showed that he was messing around and he really didn't want to know the answer to that or leave Diego to join that sort of conversation. He was content right here.
So tell me, soup or not?
"Oh my god," A chuckle left his lips, his shoulders shaking a little bit. "It just doesn't sound right when you call it a soup, does it? So my answer to that, is that it's just cereal." Tomas said with a small grin tugging at his lips, his eyes relaxing on his companion once more, unsure whether he'd ever be able to tear his eyes away from him ever again. "What do you think?" Tomas questioned with a small tilt of his head following.
I’m here with some friends from work, The two guys closest to us are my brother and his husband, we work together,
Tomas followed where Diego was pointing, nodding his head slowly before his attention drifted back to Diego. He wondered where they worked and a selfish part of him hoped that Diego was a police officer like him just so that he could see him around more often. "Oh, really?" His brows quirked up at that before his attention returned to Diego's brother and the man's husband, sending the latter a nod of his head in a greeting when their eyes met. He definitely looked curious, if not happy to see Diego talking to somebody. They definitely seemed to be clicking well. He sent Tomas a nod of his own before his attention moved away from Tomas. He looked at Diego once again, a small smile tugging at his lips. "Where do you guys work?"
They won’t miss me either and to be honest I’m happy right where I am, Next round’s on me, if you’re interested.
Tomas felt a grin tug at his lips, looking quite pleased to hear that Diego was happy with him. "I'm happy right where I am, too." Tomas said with honesty in his voice. He definitely didn't want to go anywhere. He was content right here. "Oh trust me, I'm interested." There was a glint in his eyes as he looked at Diego with a small smile tugging at his lips once his grin had worn off, leaving behind a small smile in its wake. "So, Diego..." Tomas ran his tongue over his lips, his eyes appreciatively taking Diego in. "Tell me a bit about yourself. Anything you feel okay with sharing. No pressure."

Diego was used to going out either just with Ant and Ethan or with other people from work as well and on occasion he found guys to hook up with and each of them was good looking but Tomas was in a league of his own. In the past Diego had ended up with different kinds of guys without really thinking too much about it but this guy was different and the looks that Tomas gave him at times were enough to make his heart race. He had never seen big brown eyes like those before and he knew that it would be so easy to get lost in them but he was doing his best not to do that. The last time he had developed feelings for someone he had almost died and Diego knew that he didn't want to end up in that same position again if he could help it even if Tomas seemed like a genuinely good guy so far. "If you'd rather go, I'd understand," Diego teased. He couldn't resist but he really did hope that Tomas would decide to stay because right now he was enjoying himself far too much. Tomas did seem like a nice guy and those weren't the kind of guys that Diego normally ended up with. He had a habit of ending up with really bad guys and that was a streak that he was desperate to break. Tomas' reaction to his question was incredibly cute and it was enough to draw a smile to Diego's lips. "It really doesn't," he agreed. As Tomas turned the question back around onto him, Diego's expression turned thoughtful for a moment. "Oh no, it's definitely soup," he said, managing to keep a straight face for a moment before laughing. "Just kidding. Cereal is just cereal," he grinned. "I'm glad you think so too, I don't think I could spend time with a guy who thinks otherwise," he teased. Pointing in the direction of his family and friends, Diego caught the smile that formed on his brother's face as he saw Diego rolling his eyes. Ant had been trying to encourage him to get out more and start a relationship with someone new and Diego knew that his brother wanted him to be happy but it wasn't quite that easy given what he had been through. "Yep, nothing like working with family," he grinned. "We work at the firehouse in town, they're both fire fighters and I'm a fire fighter-paramedic," he explained. "How about you, what do you do?" he asked, unable to deny that he was curious. As Tomas said he was happy where he was too it was enough to draw a smile to his face once more and that smile widened when he said that he was definitely interested in another round. "I was hoping you would say that," he admitted. As Tomas asked him to tell him about himself, Diego's expression turned thoughtful for a moment. "Well, you know some of it already. I moved here at the start of the year after a bad breakup, I was originally just going to stay for my brother's wedding but he and his family said I could stay with them for as long as I wanted so I am. I seem to have a habit of liking the wrong guys but I'm hoping this time might be different," he admitted, his smile returning as his eyes met Tomas'. "How about you?"TOMAS SILVA

If you'd rather go, I'd understand, It really doesn't, Oh no, it's definitely soup, Just kidding. Cereal is just cereal, I'm glad you think so too, I don't think I could spend time with a guy who thinks otherwise,
Tomas chuckled at that before he shook his head. "No, it's okay. I'll ask for the recap later." He joked with a grin resting on his lips. Though there was a moment where he looked surprised to hear that Diego thought cereal was a soup but it soon turned out that Diego was messing around which made him jokingly release a sigh of relief. "I almost left just now." He joked in a light-hearted manner. Honestly, Diego could think of the most atrocious thing ever and admit it aloud and Tomas would still remain seated right here. He doubted there was anything that the other could do that'd make him get up and leave. He was far too invested in him already which was crazy to think about because they had just met. "The feeling is definitely mutual on that one." Tomas said with a chuckle falling from his lips at that.
Yep, nothing like working with family, We work at the firehouse in town, they're both fire fighters and I'm a fire fighter-paramedic, How about you, what do you do?
"Oh, I bet." Tomas said with a small smile tugging at his lips, his eyes relaxing on Diego once again as he revealed their jobs which made Tomas' brows quirk up. "Oh wow. We might see around often, if that's the case." Tomas pointed out, not at all hating the idea. If anything, he found himself eagerly looking forward to it. "I'm a patrol officer." Tomas revealed with a quick nod of his head.
I was hoping you would say that, Well, you know some of it already. I moved here at the start of the year after a bad breakup, I was originally just going to stay for my brother's wedding but he and his family said I could stay with them for as long as I wanted so I am. I seem to have a habit of liking the wrong guys but I'm hoping this time might be different, How about you?
Tomas' smile turned into a grin at that. "I'm happy I didn't disappoint, then." He said, his voice soft. Diego easily captured his entire attention as he talked more about himself. He frowned slightly at the mention of a bad breakup, wondering who could ever hurt someone like Diego. He seemed ... too nice. He had a spark of mischief in his eyes which was all too endearing, really. "I know my words won't mean much to you because we just met, so I'll just show you instead that it's different this time around." He promised as he moved his glass up to his lips to take a big sip, finishing his drink.
"I moved here to look for my sister. She━" Tomas paused with a small frown tugging at his features, but it wasn't out of anger. It was more out of pain rather than anything else. "She disappeared out of the blue one day. No goodbyes, no nothing. A lot of people told me to just give up, that she might be ━ y'know.." Dead. But he didn't want to voice that out loud. "But a few days ago, we got a hit that she's here in town. That's why I'm here. I'm not sure if I'll stay once I find her, but maybe for the right person, I will." There were no 'if's, he didn't want to explore the possibility of that 'if'. He was going to do everything in his might to find his sister. No matter what. She meant the world to him. "Sorry, I kinda made the mood a little sour, didn't I?" Tomas sheepishly chuckled as he rubbed his hands on his own thighs. "How 'bout that round of drinks?"

Diego had always been a friendly guy, it was pretty much hardwired into his DNA it seemed, but his track record when it came to anything more than that really wasn't great. The last time he had let someone really get close to him the guy had almost killed him so he knew that he didn't want to go down that route again. His parents had always been wary of hunters and they had made sure to warn him about them from a very young age and he had thought that he had always been pretty good about looking after himself but his judgement had become clouded once and he knew that he couldn't afford to let that happen again. His parents had lost so many kids to hunters before Ant came along and then Diego did and he knew that he needed to be careful. That didn't mean that he couldn't still have some fun, though, and so far he really was enjoying his time with Tomas. He seemed like a genuinely nice guy so far and Diego knew that they really were in short supply. "In that case I feel very privileged that you're choosing me over such a riveting debate," he teased, his smile turning playful as he looked over at Tomas. The surprised look on Tomas' face as he said about it being a soup was definitely worth it and Diego couldn't help but laugh. "You don't strike me as the kind of guy who scares off that easily," he admitted. He had been with guys like that before so he knew the signs and Tomas definitely didn't seem like that kind of guy. Diego had known that he had needed a fresh start when he had moved to Mystic Falls but he had never realised just how true that was until now and it had to be said that things were definitely looking up. Working with Ant and Ethan was great and now he had met a guy he couldn't seem to take his eyes off of either and that part at least was definitely going to take some getting used to. "Is that so? Diego asked as Tomas said they might see each other around often. As he went on to say that he was a cop, Diego's smile returned. "In that case I hope the cops are called to every call I go to if they're all as handsome as you are, he said, hoping that his words weren't coming on too strong. Not only was Tomas incredibly good looking hut do far he was really sweet too and that was really endearing to say the least. "You really didn't," Diego said, a grin forming as Tomas said he was happy he didn't disappoint. He perhaps hadn't meant to open up to Tomas quite as much as he had done but at the end of the day he felt more at ease around the guy than he had done around anyone new for a long time and he had wanted to be honest. "I hope you're right," he admitted as Tomas promised it would be different this time although he was starting to think that perhaps with him it could be. As Tomas explained what had brought him to Mystic Falls, Diego's expression softened. "I'm so sorry," he said sincerely. "She's lucky to have a brother like you who won't give up on her," he added before a thought struck him but before he could voice it Tomas was saying he wasn't sure he would stick around after and Diego felt his heart sink for a moment before Tomas said that he might stay for the right person. "For what it's worth, I hope you do choose to stay," he said sincerely before shaking his head as Tomas said he had turned the mood sour. "Not at all. Do you have a photo you can send me if I give you my number?" he asked, choosing that moment to voice the thought he'd had earlier. "I can look out for her around town and I can get everyone I work with to do the same. I know they'll be happy to help," he offered before feeling his smile return as Tomas asked about the round he had offered to buy. "Sure," Diego said, finishing his drink as he flagged down the bartender. "Same again?"TOMAS SILVA

In that case I feel very privileged that you're choosing me over such a riveting debate, You don't strike me as the kind of guy who scares off that easily,
Tomas chuckled at that before he nodded his head in a humbled manner. "Of course. I'd do it over and over again if possible." He said with the same grin still on his lips. He looked surprised to hear that Diego could already see through him. Don't scare of easily, huh? A small smile tugged at his lips when he heard that, looking pleased with it. "You're not wrong about that, I guess." He said with a soft chuckle falling from his lips.
Is that so? In that case I hope the cops are called to every call I go to if they're all as handsome as you are.
"You're stroking my ego and I'm worried that I won't be able to take off my shirt later. My head will be too big by then." Tomas looked incredibly pleased with the compliment and it definitely seemed to stroke his ego quite well. "But I hope the others won't be as handsome so your eyes could only be focused on me." Tomas wasn't so sure where that confidence came from but he knew it was too late for him to take it back and honestly he didn't regret it.
I'm so sorry, She's lucky to have a brother like you who won't give up on her, For what it's worth, I hope you do choose to stay, Not at all. Do you have a photo you can send me if I give you my number? I can look out for her around town and I can get everyone I work with to do the same. I know they'll be happy to help,
Tomas felt a small smile form on his lips at that. "Thank you." Diego's words did mean a lot to him even though they had just meant. Maybe it's because it was something that he wanted to hear. That he was being a good brother even though he couldn't find her. He was still good. He looked surprised to hear that Diego wanted him to stay here but that surprise wasn't a bad thing. "I'll stay, then." Tomas promised with a small smile on his lips. Once again, Tomas found himself surprised by Diego. "Are you━ are you sure?" Tomas questioned in a surprised voice.
Idiot, you'll be getting his phone number that way. Say yes!
"I mean, yeah. Yeah, sure." Tomas fished his voice out of his pocket, unlocking the screen with facial recognition before handing it over to Diego. "Here." A mesmerized expression soon replaced that surprise as he smiled gratefully at Diego. "That'd be great ... amazing, even. Thank you, Diego. Really." It was the most anyone had ever done for him. When it was time for that round of drinks, he was more than happy to nod his head. "Yeah, same for me." He said with a small smile on his lips. He could definitely use all that liquor courage to figure out a way to ask Diego if he wanted to go home with him. He reached for his glass and took a few sips, humming at the taste that resided on his tongue. "Actually..." Tomas licked his bottom lip as his eyes resided on Diego once again. "Do you wanna do body shots?"

"Aren't you a charmer?" Diego said, unable to stop a smile from forming on his face as he looked over at Tomas. He definitely seemed to know how to say all of the right things at the right moment and that was something that Diego was already starting to like about him. He wasn't used to that, normally his flings were completely meaningless so he never got to know too much about them. Diego knew that it wasn't ideal and the truth was that he wasn't really that into having meaningless flings but right now it was better than nothing. Last time he had opened up to someone it had almost cost him his life and he knew he didn't want to end up in that same position again. As Tomas said he was right about him not scaring off easily, Diego's smile widened. "That's a good thing," he admitted, knowing that that was probably just what he needed right now. As Tomas said he was worried that he might not be able to take his shirt off later if his head gets too big, Diego couldn't help but laugh. "Perhaps I could help you with that," he said, his smile turning playful as he looked over at him. He hoped it wasn't too suggestive but he really was enjoying his time with Tomas and he knew that he wanted to see where it could go. "I don't think you need to worry about that. Between that handsome face, those big brown eyes and how sweet you've been so far I don't think they'll even come close," Diego assured him. "Here's hoping you won't end up getting distracted by the people I work with either," he added. Diego hadn't expected to learn that Tomas' sister was missing but the fact that he was still looking really did go a long way as far as Diego was concerned. It showed that Tomas cared and it solidified the idea that Tomas was a genuinely good idea. He couldn't deny that he was surprised when Tomas said that he would stay and he found himself studying the guy carefully for a moment. "You mean that?" he asked, knowing that he hadn't even had any right to say that considering that they had only just met. He had still needed to say it, though, and he hoped Tomas meant it. As he asked if he'd meant what he'd said about the photo, Diego nodded. "Of course. The more pairs of eyes looking the better, right?" he asked. "Besides, I get the feeling you would do the same for me if it was someone from my family missing," he added, hoping to cover it a little in case it came across as a little awkward. Taking the phone as it was offered to him, Diego typed his number in before handing the phone back to Tomas. "No trouble at all," Diego assured him. Ordering amother round, Diego handed Tomas' drink to him when it arrived and took a sip of his own almost choking on it at Tomas' next suggestion. "If I didn't know any better I'd say you want us to get kicked out," he teased. "I've got a better idea," he said as he leaned in close. "How about we grab a bottle and take it back to your place?"TOMAS SILVA

Perhaps I could help you with that, I don't think you need to worry about that. Between that handsome face, those big brown eyes and how sweet you've been so far I don't think they'll even come close, Here's hoping you won't end up getting distracted by the people I work with either,
A small grin formed on his lips at Diego's words. "I would be eternally grateful if you helped me with that." God, where was all this courage coming from? He had no idea. It was all coming out so naturally that he barely had to work for it. He was discovering a whole new side of himself with Diego and he didn't mind it one bit. Tomas looked really pleased to hear that, even more so when he was continuously showered with compliments by the hottest guy he'd ever seen. "Okay, good." Tomas nearly puffed his chest with pride but he wasn't that type of macho-man. "And I'll have you know, if I meet other firefighter-medics, I'll look the other way. I know for a fact that they won't be as handsome and nice as you are with your gorgeous eyes that I could get lost into for hours."
You mean that? Of course. The more pairs of eyes looking the better, right? Besides, I get the feeling you would do the same for me if it was someone from my family missing, No trouble at all, If I didn't know any better I'd say you want us to get kicked out, I've got a better idea, How about we grab a bottle and take it back to your place?
"Of course." Tomas said with a small but soft smile on his lips. He meant every word of it. He felt eternally grateful for Diego. It was everything he could ask for and more. He really hoped that something would come out of the search this time around but Diego also had a pretty good point. The more eyes the better. "You're right. I've been thinking about making missing person's poster, but I don't want to scare her off because what if she doesn't want to be found, you know?" Tomas' shoulders lifted and dropped in a quick shrug, thinking of the situation from every logical corner. "Absolutely." Tomas said right away when he mentioned that he got the feeling he'd do the same thing for him. He'd tell everyone at the station to keep an eye out in an instant. He just did not want to see Diego in any sort of stressful or painful situation. Tomas grinned at Diego's reaction, unable to stop the chuckle that left his lips. "What's wrong with living on the edge every now and then?" He joked with a chuckle falling from his lips. He meant it as more of a joke because he had a feeling he'd wind up with a boot pushing him out of the door if he actually got Diego undressed right now. Tomas' expression turned curious as he leaned a bit closer, unable to deny the fact that there was an urge to lean closer and attach their lips just so he could satiate his curiosity and figure out what Diego tastes like. He nearly choked on his own saliva at Diego's suggestion and now it was his turn to adapt the same expression as Diego. Revenge, huh?
Tomas nodded his head all too eagerly, not giving a damn about looking too eager. Screw that. He wanted Diego, there was no denying it. "I like your way of thinking." Tomas grinned. "Let's go, then. I don't live far from here." He flagged down the bartender to purchase an unopened bottle of alcohol, paying for everything, including Diego's drinks. He grabbed the bag and turned to look at Diego, smiling a little. "C'mon." He knew it'd be too weird to offer his hand so he just waited for Diego to join his side so they could walk together to his apartment.
The walk itself really didn't take long and he was pretty grateful for it and as he reached for his keys to open the door.
C'mon, liquor courage, don't let me down now.
Tomas paused, his attention turning to Diego for a moment as he moved his tongue over the surface of his bottom lip. "I'm going to be one hundred percent honest with you right now and say that I'm thirsty for something else entirely." His eyes relaxed on Diego's lips as he said that. "Do you actually wanna open this bottle or can I kiss you instead?"

Diego knew that the last thing that he wanted was to come on too strong and scare Tomas off but the more time they spent together the more he was starting to think that he wasn’t the only one who felt the spark between them. It went beyond just being attracted because of the way Tomas looked, that had drawn him in to begin with but Diego was starting to think that the guy was just a genuinely good guy and those were in short supply at the moment it seemed. Diego had never had trouble finding guys to hook up with after he’d realised that he was only into guys but when it came to something more that was a different story entirely. Needless to say he wasn’t in a hurry to get burned like that again but there was something about Tomas that made him feel safe and that was something that he hadn’t felt with anyone outside his family for a long time. “I’m sure that could be arranged,” Diego said, a grin forming on his own face to match Tomas’. There was just something about the guy and he couldn’t quite put his finger on what that was. “I’ll hold you to that,” he warned, his smile widening as his eyes met Tomas’. “I’m starting to wonder if you might be too good to be true,” he added as he studied the guy carefully for a moment. He seemed just as interested in Diego as Diego was in him and he seemed to know all of the right things to say. That wasn’t something that Diego was used to at all but he knew that he wanted to make the most of it while he had the chance. He hadn’t expected Tomas to say that he would stay when he’d asked but he seemed serious about it and Diego really was glad about that. He hardly knew Tomas but he was so easy to talk to and the guy had opened up to him about his sister and Diego trusted what he’d said about her. Putting his trust in the wrong person had ended up getting him into trouble before but it felt different this time and it was so easy for him to offer to help. “Yeah, I know what you mean,” he nodded. “Maybe give it some more time with more people looking out for her and then go from there,” he suggested, knowing that the last thing he wanted was for Tomas to end up losing the chance to find his sister after such a long time by going too quickly. Diego wasn’t at all surprised when Tomas confirmed that he would help him if the roles were reversed but his next words were enough to draw a laugh from Diego’s lips. “Says the cop who is meant to be a good example to everyone,” he teased. He knew that it wouldn’t go down well at all if they went through with Tomas’ suggestion so instead Diego couldn’t stop himself from offering up one of his own. He knew that the night had been heading in this direction anyway and he was pretty sure that Tomas had known that too. There was just something about him that Diego couldn’t resist right now and as Tomas almost choked just like Diego had moments before, Diego couldn’t stop a grin from forming on his face. It had been presumptuous to ask about going back to Tomas’ place but soon enough the guy was saying that he liked his way of thinking and Diego found himself nodding. “I hoped you would,” he admitted before laughing as Tomas said he didn’t live too far away. “Even better,” he chuckled, pulling his wallet out of his pocket to pay for their drinks and their bottle but stopping as Tomas beat him to it. “And you’re a gentleman, now I know you’re too good to be true.”Following Tomas out of the building, the walk really didn’t take them too long and Diego was tempted to look around for a moment but with the way Tomas was looking at him he just couldn’t tear his gaze away. “Is that so?” he asked as he stepped closer to Tomas. As Tomas asked whether he wanted to open the bottle or whether he could kiss him instead, Diego’s hands found his waist and he pulled Tomas to him before leaning forward and connecting their lips in a kiss that was enough to send sparks shooting through him from the very start. “Does that answer your question?” he asked as he reluctantly pulled back so that Tomas could open the door. I’m sure that could be arranged, I’ll hold you to that, I’m starting to wonder if you might be too good to be true,
Tomas let out a chuckle at that before nodding his head in a manner that could be seen as pleased. "Good." He watched the other with a soft smile forming on his lips. "Oh, please. I think I should be the one wondering 'bout that. There's no way someone like you is real. I'm kinda worried that I fell on my head on the way to the bar and now i'm just hallucinating you. You're the medic between the two of us, check my head for me real quick. Am I concussed?" Tomas said with a chuckle falling from his lips, eyes still focused solely on the other because looking away from him was just not an option anymore.
Yeah, I know what you mean, Maybe give it some more time with more people looking out for her and then go from there, Says the cop who is meant to be a good example to everyone,
Tomas nodded his head in an understanding manner, knowing that in a case like this, he should take it easy and not rush in, or else he'd lose her for good and he didn't even want to consider that part. It would crush him. "You're right. I shouldn't rush it." He nodded his head a few times, bottom lip caught between his teeth for a moment as a thoughtful expression crossed his features before he blinked out of it and found himself chuckling at Diego's words and lifted his hands in mock surrender. "You got me there. Hold on, let me fix what I said. We definitely should not live on the edge, it's too dangerous." His voice adapted a new tone of professionalism, nodding his head solemnly before the facade evaporated and was soon replaced with a grin instead.
I hoped you would, Even better, And you’re a gentleman, now I know you’re too good to be true. Is that so? Does that answer your question?
"Oh, please. It's the least I can do. Someone like you deserves to be pampered and spoiled." Tomas said with a soft smile tugging at his lips as he began making his way to the door, opening it for Diego first to step out before he made his way out. He began guiding the other to his apartment complex and once he was in front of his door, he voiced his desires out loud. "Yeah, very much so." Tomas whispered, eyes zeroed in on Diego's lips before a soft gasp left his own lips when Diego brought him forward in a kiss that stole his breath away. Tomas found himself chasing after Diego's lips when the other pulled back from it before he stopped himself when he heard his question. "Loud and clear." He whispered as he reached for his keys to open the door before he grasped the material of Diego's shirt to tug him closer once again, reconnecting their lips as he guided the other inside of his apartment, shutting his door with his heel, all too busy kissing Diego to give a damn about anything else other than those soft lips against his own. God, he was addicted already.

Diego couldn't deny that he was pleased with he way things were going with Tomas right now, a night out with some people from work was meant to be uneventful but it had quickly turned into something so much more than that. He couldn't deny that he was scared of letting someone get close to him again, close enough to hurt him anyway, but it had to be said that Tomas seemed different to anyone else that he had been with before. He seemed like a genuinely good guy and Diego knew that he didn't want to mess this up. It was so easy to flirt with Tomas and Diego knew that he wanted something more but right now he wasn't ready for anything more than a random hook up and thankfully Tomas seemed to be up for that too. As Tomas said he was worried he was hallucinating, Diego couldn't help but play along and he pretended to check Tomas over. "Oh yeah, you've definitely got a concussion. This is all in your head," he teased. He hadn't expected Tomas to open up to him about his sister but Diego couldn't deny that he was glad that he had done. Diego honestly planned on keeping his word and looking for her while he was out and he knew that the others he worked with would be happy to do the same. It was their job to help people and he knew that they were never going to turn their backs on someone who needed them. Diego could see just how much Tomas was worried about his sister, he was clearly still hurting after all these years and Diego knew that he wanted to help in any way that he could. "She might need time but that doesn't mean that you should give up," he said gently. He knew that he wouldn't give up if it was Antonio who was missing but he knew that he didn't want Tomas scaring her off by moving too quickly so he hoped this would be a way of keeping that balance. "That's more like it," Diego chuckled. "While we're in public at least," he added with a grin. For a long time he had been too worried about what others would think if they saw him displaying affection towards another guy in public and while he wasn't worried about that any longer he still knew where to draw the line and he knew that he would much rather save whatever was going to happen next for while they were alone. "Better watch out, I could get used to this," Diego admitted. He wasn't used to being treated like this by a guy and he knew that he definitely wanted to make the most of it while he had the chance. Tomas had a habit of surprising him more and more and he couldn't deny that he wasn't expecting Tomas to open the door for him but he felt a smile form on his face nonetheless. "Thanks," he said as they headed outside. It didn't take them long to reach Tomas' apartment and kissing him was the best way Diego knew to answer his question. The kiss was something that Diego had been thinking about a lot since meeting Tomas and as their lips connected it was enough to steal his breath away. "Good," Diego said as Tomas confirmed that his answer was loud and clear. Moments later he was being tugged closer to Tomas and he didn't offer any resistance, his smile returning as their lips met once more and he was guided into the apartment. "You don't waste any time, do you?" he asked, his lips brushing against Tomas'as he spoke after realising that the guy had closed the door without him even noticing. Connecting their lips again, Diego's hands moved lower so that he could tug up the bottom of Tomas' t shirt, his fingers tracing the lines of his chest as he did so. TOMAS SILVA

Oh yeah, you've definitely got a concussion. This is all in your head,
Tomas gasped at that, reaching up to touch the back of his head as if he could feel where that concussion was located. "Knew it." He shook his head with a small sigh falling from his lips. 'Knew you were too good to be true." Tomas continued playing along. His disappointed look didn't last for long, really. It was soon replaced with a grin. "Well then, if that's the case, I hope this concussion never goes away." Tomas said with a dreamy look on his face as he continued looking at Diego. God. So hot.
She might need time but that doesn't mean that you should give up, That's more like it, While we're in public at least,
Tomas nodded his head a few times. "Of course. I'm not the type to give up. No matter what." He just never knew when to call it quits. "She's family." He added a moment later and if he gave up on family, then would he ever learn how to hold onto something else? Like, a lover? Probably not. So of course, he wasn't going to give up on his sister. He was going to find her. No matter what. It didn't matter if she wanted to stay hidden from him, he wanted to know why she had chosen to run off like that. He wanted to make sure she wasn't in any sort of trouble. "While we're in public." Tomas' lips stretched to form a grin, any traces of sadness long gone because Diego distracted him and it wasn't a bad thing. Not at all.
Better watch out, I could get used to this, Thanks, Good, You don't waste any time, do you?
"Well, I certainly would not complain if you did." Tomas said with a soft chuckle falling from his lips. "If anything, it would make me do it more." Tomas added a moment later, a soft smile tugging at his lips. " 'Course." Tomas replied when Diego thanked him, his smile still present on his lips. Once they reached the apartment complex, he guided them to his apartment and once he was outside the door, he admitted that he really didn't want to drink anything and only wanted to kiss Diego. Diego gave him his answer by pulling him into a kiss that made him feel like a junkie finally finding his happy pill. He kissed, kissed, and kissed. Even after entering his apartment. "Why would I? I've been thinking 'bout doing this since the second I saw you." Tomas admitted against Diego's lips, sighing softly into the kiss when he felt Diego's hands on his skin, the touch igniting a flame within the pit of his stomach. He wanted more. Tomas' hands began wandering as well, finding their way under Diego's shirt, touching the newly revealed skin with gentle hands, enjoying the way the warm flesh felt against his hands. It only fed into that greed he felt. He pulled them away from the door so he could blindly lead Diego to his bedroom, his hands busy with Diego's shirt until he finally leaned away from the bruising kiss so he could take Diego's shirt off, tossing it aside carelessly, joining the bottle of alcohol on the floor. "How do you feel so damn good?" He whispered against Diego's lips, tugging him closer to himself so there was no distance between the two of them as he began guiding them to his bed, determined to worship Diego all night long.
