━ i shut my eyes and all the world drops dead. ━ THOUGH ANDY HAD COME TO MAKE AMENDS WITH EVELYN, THAT hadn't been her sole motivator for tracking her down. Beyond the guilt and the relief at finally facing her old friend, Andy had always come with an ulterior motive. She'd always come to Mystic Falls with the intention of killing William. Mending her relationship with Evie had just been a bonus, along with the obvious implications of Evie's help in carrying out her ploy. It didn't feel like that, though, her arm wrapped around Evie in a crushing hug. Sharing space like the family they had almost been, the family Andy had squandered with greed. And there was a moment, right before Andy told Evie of her intentions, where the two were simply pressed into each other and she felt a sweetened, magical peace. Something Andy didn't experience often, her own raw power so tense and hungry that it felt no desire to relax. It was frightening, but she was a little like William that way.
In the silent beat after Andy played her hand, she wondered if Evie would protest. They had a kindred spirit in one and other, but William was still Evie's father. Andy didn't have the same stakes in that kind of fight. The silence was broken, however, and Andy heaved a breath and sat back. Biting down on her back teeth and feeling a shiver of anticipation steel over her. "It won't matter," Andy muttered, her vision solid and staring - as if she were seeing something beyond her physical eye. She pictured that confrontation, how furious William would be to see them together once again - his manipulation having failed. "That'll be his downfall, you know." Her gaze shifted, looking at Evie without turning her head, her mouth set in a grim line. "I used to idolise him, but he's so hungry he'll never be satisfied until he's swallowed the whole world." Andy's nostrils flared and her hands clenched in to fists. "We're gonna use that to lure him out, and then..." Andy shrugged her shoulders, as if it were that simple.
In reality, Evie was right. They were two powerful witches, but William had an arsenal of talismans and disposable fanatics to aid him. It was less a confrontation and more of a war. William wanted Evie, her connection with Nature an asset to him - he'd bleed her dry and Andy knew it, but she also thought that Evie understood that too, could see the ghosts lingering in her eyes. Neither of them were unaware of what they were getting themselves in to, they'd need all the help they could get. "I'll sniff 'round," Andy submitted eventually, slumping down in her seat and sprawling her legs out under the table. "See if I got any allies yet willing to throw a dime in the pot." She picked absently at the skin around her thumb nail and clicked her teeth. "Don't happen to have a raging sugar daddy with a nuclear weapon nearby?" Andy raised her brows, a teasing smirk curling one corner of her mouth. "Someone we can rob for a blood borne blade?" They were scheming now, even if not entirely seriously on Andy's part.

━ you knew somewhere deep it was too good to be true ━
THIS was a definite turn of events, something she had not expected. Coming to this town, Evelyn hadn't expected much. It had only been a means to an end, a place for her to hide from her psychotic father, but that hadn't worked out in her favor. Not like she had originally hoped it would. Then again, she was sure that it didn't really matter where she had run off to after New York, her father would have found her regardless. She didn't understand it, she had covered her tracks well, really well, and yet he had found her. How had he done that? Used some sort of blood tracking spell? She didn't know, and she was terrified to find out. Why was he going through all this trouble to find her? Then again, that question had been answered thanks to Andy. He wanted her magic all to himself, no matter what it took to make sure that happened. Her father was power hungry and there was no limit to what he would do to make sure he got it.
Including terrorizing his own daughter.
But seeing Andy again gave her hope she didn't think she needed. At first, seeing Andy had enraged her to no end, because of what she had thought she had done to her, but as it turns out, it had all been a fabrication her father had come up with to further isolate her from those she cared for. First her mother, and then Andy. God she was stupid, why had she believed him in the first place? It was her father after all, master manipulator and compulsive liar. She should have known what he had told her wasn't true. All he did was lie, and yet, she had wholeheartedly believe every word he had said about Andy, someone she had grown to love like a sister. Why had she been so convinced? He had shown her pretty damning evidence proving his words, but she should have seen right through it. She should have known better.
But knowing it was all a lie and having Andy back made things better. It made her feel better. After all the shit she had been through the past year, having her friend back in her life again was just what she needed. Having Andy's arms wrapped around her felt like a warm fire, heating her right up after a freezing winter night. It felt right. Evelyn had thought of Andy as her sister and when she had believed she had betrayed her it had absolutely crushed her, but knowing that wasn't true sent waves of relief coursing through her body. Relief she didn't know she needed.
'It won't matter.' Oh but how wrong she was. It would matter, more than she would ever realize. Her father wasn't some newbie warlock just coming into his magic, no, he was an experienced and dangerous warlock who had only continued to grow in power as time went on. Evelyn listened to Andy speak about how her father's need for power would be his biggest downfall, that it was how the two would be able to take him down once and for all. Power was how they would lure him out and then, when the time was right, would end him once and for all. But would it really be that easy?
No. No it would not.
"Easier said than done," she muttered as she took a sip out of her coffee which was beginning to grow cold. If she were being honest, the confrontation that would soon occur scared the absolute hell out of her. It had been a few years since she had seen her father in person and after what he did back in New York... she never wanted to see him face to face ever again, but she knew for her and Andy's plan to work, that was what had to happen and she was already dreading it. But for them to be successful, it would take more than just the two of them to take on her father, especially if he had grown in power sine the last time, which she was sure he had.
It seemed as though Andy agreed with this, that they needed help. Hearing how she would begin sniffing around, to see if she had anyone on her end willing to help made her feel a bit better. Andy had always had amazing resources, always had contacts she could turn to, so hopefully, that was still the case. Guess she would see. Hearing Andy's question to her made her snort, but she honestly was on to something. "No sugar daddy no, but I may have an angel..." She said, downing the rest of the now cold coffee before placing the cup back down onto the table. Evelyn was sure Andy would be curious and probably not realize that she actually did mean what she had said. Moving to Mystic Falls had opened up her world more than she ever realized it would. Heaven and Hell were very real, which meant so were angels and demons. And it just so happened she now had an angel on her side willing to help her when she needed it,
Her own personal guardian angel.

━ i shut my eyes and all the world drops dead. ━ IT HAD BEEN EASIER THAN SHE'D ANTIPICATED. Gaining Evy's confidence back after losing it to William had been something Andy had considered. She'd thought about it, had imaginary conversations that always ended with one of them killing the other. It never went this smoothly. Andy could barely stomach how kind it felt to be hugged by her again, how she was older and more hesitant, but still the same kid with the same hands and the same aura. It was dizzying, like taking a deep drink from the well of nostalgia. She enjoyed the moment, but with a heady dose of caution. Andy was relieved, but she was also smart. Evy could rescind her forgiveness as quickly as she had given it. Pulling away and slumping into the squeaky vinyl booth with a shuddering breath, she felt a few years younger, a weight easing from her shoulders.
"I never said it'd be easy," She gave Evy a sardonic grin, like the thought of it didn't keep her up at night. As if she hadn't envisioned her own brutal, bloody death at William's hands countless times. Chewing on hallucinogenic herbs to throw herself into a dream state, where every time she faced her worst enemy he killed her with his bare hands. It had become something of a masochistic exercise, reminding Andy of that one Einstein quote that grouped insanity with repetition. Bit ironic, she thought, coming from a man who liked math so much.
As she looked at Evy with a humoured curiosity, Andy also thought of all of the allies she didn't have. Evy was the nicer of the two, she had that thing about her that people wanted to nurture. Andy did not inspire the same kind of generosity, she had more of a restless unpredictability about her person. The kind of aura that made people look at her from the corner of their eye, like she was about to take off with a pocket full of their prized possessions. That didn't mean that she didn't consider her options, Nicholas had set up shop nearby. Alas, he had always been something of an outlier. While she considered, Evy appeared to be doing the same. Her shoulders rolling and eyes flickering with thought, Andy tensed with anticipation. Who had Evy caught in her kind little web. "A what?!" Andy sat forward with an open glee in her face, eyes flickering to the patrons who gaze her a curious side eye. She didn't care, leaning in close as she reached for Evy's coffee cup and pried it from her hands. "Tell me everything, little bird."

━ you knew somewhere deep it was too good to be true ━
A LOT had changed since Evelyn had last seen Andy, more than she had ever hoped it would. But despite all the trauma she had been through, she was at least glad that she now had Andy back in her life, especially since she had once thought that she had up and abandoned her and that it was her that wanted her magic, that she had been working with her father. But that hadn't been the case and she had wished she hadn't been so damn blind to have not seen that her father had been lying to her to seclude her even further from everyone she cared about. That was his main goal, to make it so she didn't have anyone other than him. She would be more vulnerable that way, all alone without anyone she could turn to. His frail little witch, one he could soon suck dry from any and all magic that she possessed. That's what he wanted, not for her to join his side, but to be able to take on even more power. William Monet only wanted power and status, nothing more and certainly nothing less. It was going to come down to a time where William would make himself known in town and when he did... all hell would break loose.
And that was what she was afraid of.
'I never said it'd be easy,' Andy told her with a grin spread across her features. Evelyn knew damn well it wouldn't be easy taking on her father, someone with an entire army at his disposal. Not to mention the amount of magic he possessed from using dark magic. It would most certainly not be easy taking him down, but if Andy was willing to, she would join in and together they would take down William Monet once and for all. She knew it would be difficult, on more than one level, because even though he was a raging psychopath who no regard for anyone other than himself... he was still her father and the memories of when she was younger, when he was her father who played with her and cherished her, would always be there inside of her mind, occasionally rising to the surface in the times when she needed to hate him the most.
'A what?!' The mention of her angelic friend seemed to peak Andy's interest tenfold, her eyes wide and alert at the news of this, almost like she was experiencing some sort of a religious revelation. Evelyn nodded her heard to confirm what she had just said, and before she could even open her mouth to explain further, Andy had leaned forward, reaching for her coffee cup and as she then took pried it from her hands, telling her to tell her everything she knew about the angel. "I didn't believe it at first, but I saw with my own eyes, Andy. Angels, Demons, Heaven, Hell... it all exists. I was at one of the town's events drinking when my oh-so-lovely father sent his spies after me. If it hadn't been for Castiel, my literal guardian angel, I don't know what would've happened. I was in no way able to fight back in the condition I was in, but Castiel took on the group of them with ease..." She explained, reminiscing about the night of that black-light party. Castiel had made it his mission to help her whenever he could, making sure that she knew she could count on him in times of darkness. It was comforting to say the least, that she had a guardian angel watching over her, especially with everything that was going on with her father and his little army of spies.
"Anyway, Castiel is an angel. Like from Heaven, he has wings and glows this bright blue-wish white color. Literal light comes from his hands, it's... it's beautiful." She explained, still in awe of the fact that she personally knew an angel of the lord. Hell, she still couldn't believe that Heaven truly existed, that angels, demons, all of it, existed. Which made her wonder where her father would end up when they finally ended his existence once and for all. Would he be deep in Hell? Would he be able to manipulate his way out of going to Hell? She didn't know, but she hoped to god not because he deserved every ounce of pain and suffering that came his way. And what better place to suffer than Hell?

━ i shut my eyes and all the world drops dead. ━ THE NOTION OF HEAVEN WAS LOST ON ANDY. She'd never figured that was something catered for her. God didn't let in murderers, did he? Andy had figured that horse was good and dead, but it had always been a figurative thing anyway. Faith, and all that crap her mama used to punt. The way that Evie spoke, it felt like a tangible place. Like vacationing in Florida. She was rapt, mouth slack and eyes wide as she lifted her brows and gawped plainly. "You have gotta be high," She spluttered, placing the back of her palm against Evie's pale forehead before letting go with a dramatic huff. Turning, she thumped her head on the back of the booth seat and processed what Evie was explaining.
"I've heard all about the Devil," Andy mused, crossing her arms across her stomach and humming thoughtfully. "You know, in New Orleans, the Devil is your neighbour." She turned her head loosely, grinning fiendishly at her old friend. "Witches, you know, we fucked the Devil." She rolled her eyes and shrugged her shoulders. "But, Heaven... angels with big fluffy wings?" Kissing her teeth, Andy tried to picture it. "Right enough, if I ever thought of an Angel, I might name him Cass-tee-el." She snorted and raised her brows. "What's he like, is he hot?"
It was easy to tease, to joke about the ridiculousness of such a notion, but Andy's head was pulsing. An angel on their side, that changed things. The game was played on a balance beam, with William heavily outweighed by man power and resources. If Andy had an Angel on her side?, the battle just got a little more interesting. She kept her interest subtle, letting Evie gush about this ethereal saviour until her cheeks were pink and flushed. Andy realised, as Evie's breath settled, that she was jealous. "Guess I don't got one'a those." Andy smiled thinly, sighing as she turned to cast an eye out across the diner. Always prepared to run, always cataloguing the exits. She didn't have a guardian angel to save her from William's men. It was always just a couple of broken ribs, patched up wounds packed with sticky herbs that made her blood look black and crooked. Evie was always so pure, of course she had an Angel at her back. "Do you think he'd really help us?" Andy asked, her eyes narrowing shrewdly. "If I lured William here, would he kill him?" This, in a way, felt like a hit. Andy was comfortable with a hit.

━ you knew somewhere deep it was too good to be true ━
EVELYN knew that this would be a hard pill for Andy to swallow. Heaven? Angels? Surely she must be joking right? How could any of that possibly be real? But it was, it was very real and she had seen first hand the kind of damage an angel could do. Despite seeing first hand what angels were capable of, it was shocking still, that angels existed. But then again she couldn't say she was all that surprised given what else existed in this world. Witches, vampires, werewolves... so why not angels too? It opened up an entire world full of things for her, more than she had even anticipated. Evelyn knew that with this newfound knowledge that she would have to do some research, learn as much as she could about angels, heaven, hell, and whatever else there was out there, because there was a good chance she could use whatever and whomever to help take out her father once and for all. It was a long shot sure, but knowing what she did about Cas and what he's done so far... there was a good chance he could help her take out her father and rid him from her life once and for all.
'You have gotta be high,' Of course Andy wouldn't believe her, but it was the truth. "I wish I were, but it's the truth. Angels do exist." She said, picking up her coffee mug and downing the rest of the lukewarm contents still inside. It was definitely a lot to process and she knew Andy had to think she was downright insane for thinking anything different. Evelyn kept quiet as Andy spoke and couldn't help but snort at her comment on witches having fucked the devil himself. 'But, Heaven... angels with big fluffy wings?' The blonde merely nodded. "Well, I don't know about the big fluffy wings per say, but I did see them." She said, still not really grasping what she saw or if what she had just told Andy made any lick of sense. But one thing was for sure, she saw angelic wings cast onto the walls of that nightclub that night she had met Cas.
'Right enough, if I ever thought of an Angel, I might name him Cass-tee-el. What's he like, is he hot?' "Well, in the bible the name Castiel literally translates to 'shield of god,' so I would say it's an angelic enough name." She said, almost teasingly and then she couldn't help but laugh at her next comment. Andy, always with the teasing and jokes. Before even entertaining that comment, Evelyn picked up her empty coffee mug into the air and looked over at the barista, tapping the mug as to signal a refill. Did she really need another cup of coffee? No, but she damn well as gonna get another. Might as well considering it was free considering she worked there. If she wanted ten cups of coffee, she would get it. Placing the mug down onto the table she looked at Andy to answer her initial question, even it if were a joke. "I mean Cas's vessel isn't not good looking." Evelyn would have had to be blind to not see how attractive Cas was, or rather, his vessel. It was still hard to understand somethings, but Cas had been patient with her and tried to explain what he could to her, which she appreciated.
'Do you think he'd really help us? If I lured William here, would he kill him?' Evelyn didn't need to think twice about her answer. "Yes." She said plainly. "I know for a fact he would. Cas has told me before he would help me take my father out. With everything that he's done, he deserves it." She stated, her lips pressed into a fine line, her hands balled into fists as she felt her nails dig into her palms from the pressure. The anxiety that begun to fill her body wasn't from Cas killing her father, it was from Andy mentioning luring him here, to town, the same town where she was. The last time her father had been in the same place she was in he had slaughtered her friend. That couldn't happen again, it couldn't happen here. She had made too many connections for anyone else to end up like her friend Savannah. She couldn't let that happen.
She couldn't, wouldn't, allow it to happen. When it came down to it, Evelyn would sacrifice herself if it meant keeping those she loved save.
