– you ain't gotta pray for me –
When Tom woke up, it was to nothing but stillness. It was strange, like the world had completely come to a stop while he was asleep. Oddly enough, he doesn’t even remember falling asleep in the first place but now, he was awake and he didn’t exactly know what to do about it. Or even feel about. Huh. Feel... How does he feel about this? Tom really tried to think of an answer to that question but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t figure out one. Tom also didn’t seem to care about why he couldn’t find an answer and instead, focused on finding a way out of that train station. There were a few exit doors but upon opening the door, he’d come to a stop when he finds himself looking at brick walls where the exit should’ve been.
He tried to wake up a few of the people in the station, but they were unmoving. Like mannequins. It was strange, to say the least. Then, slowly but surely, more and more started to wake up but they also didn’t know how to get out. Useless. When another person woke up over the span of the next couple of days (or was it weeks? he can’t tell the time anymore) and he could sense her confusion from a mile away. “You’ve been taken.” Tom revealed, standing not too far away from where she was with his arms crossed in front of his chest. “Do you remember anything, or are you just like them?” He gestured to the ones moving around, trying to figure out how to get home. “Some of them don’t remember how they got here. The others are waiting for a train that’s never going to arrive.” Tom shrugged his shoulders as he leaned against the wall, his arms still crossed in front of his chest. “So, which one are you?” He could’ve been nicer, but that part of him that cared about people’s feelings was just gone and all that was left was someone who didn’t really care about other people and only cared about himself. It was so unlike Tom.

Elena wasn’t sure just how long she had been stuck in the train station for but it was starting to feel like forever. She had run into Stiles and they had looked around together to see if they could find a way to get out of there but it hadn’t done any good. No matter what they tried nothing seemed to work and in the end they had decided to go their separate ways for a while as they tried to see who else was there. Elena had already seen Lizzie, Rebekah and a few members of Scott’s pack but she didn’t doubt that there were going to be others there that she knew as well. Elena had no idea what any of them were doing there or who had brought them there but she knew that they were going to have to find out one way or another. One strange thing was that no matter how much time went by, Elena didn’t find herself craving blood. It was something that Elena had learned to manage over the years and thanks to Ric and Jenna she never had to worry about running out of blood bags but now even with how long it had been since she had woken up she still didn’t feel hungry so she could only assume that it was a result of being here. It had puzzled Elena at first but in the end she had realised that she just needed to go with it as there were much more important things to worry about right now. There were a few people in the train station who were awake and aware of their surroundings but most seemed to either be unconscious or they were completely zoned out. Elena knew that chances were she had been like that for a while and just the thought was enough to make a shudder run through her but someone had to know what was going on or at the very least finding more people who were awake like she was would mean that they could cover more ground and hopefully find a way out of there together. Unfortunately finding those people was easier said than done it seemed but finally Elena picked up on the sound of a familiar voice and it was enough to make her heart leap. She would know that voice anywhere, she and Stefan had been together for years so there was no way that she was ever going to forget his voice, but as the person speaking came into view her heart sank a little as she realised that while the person sounded like Stefan, it wasn’t him. She had moved on with her life after they broke up and she was happy that he and Bonnie were together and so in love but she couldn’t deny that she had hoped she might have found someone else she knew well who was aware of what was going on. She still knew Tom, it was hard not to considering that he was a doppelganger just like she was, but there was something about the way he was talking that was unfamiliar to her. That still worried her a little but she pushed it aside for the time being, just happy that there was someone else who was awake after all. “I think the vacant look she’s giving you answers that question, don’t you?” Elena asked as she approached him slowly. “It’s good to see you Tom, I just wish the circumstances were better,” she admitted, her way of letting him know that it was her rather than one of her own doppelgangers. “How much do you remember about how you got here?” she asked, unable to deny that she was curious. – you ain't gotta pray for me –
Tom found emotionless eyes staring back at him and her expression blank. “Wow. That bad, huh?” Tom resisted the urge to laugh at her expression, although his amusement was clear on his face. “C’mon, it’s not like you’re actually dead. Snap out of it.” He probably would’ve continued tormenting that woman — it was his only source of entertainment in this shitty place — had it not been for the voice that interrupted him. His eyes soon lifted to settle on a familiar face. Tom quirked a brow upon seeing her here. "Hi, Judith." Tom greeted with seriousness. "Meredith? Stephanie?" He pointed his index finger at her, pretending as if he didn't know who she was. "I'm joking, Elena. I remember you now." He had no idea about her existence before he came here. He just couldn't for the life of him remember her. It was different now, like a veil had been removed from his eyes.
“Is it really?” Tom responded off-handedly when she told him that it was good to see him. He snapped his fingers in front of the woman’s face just for her to jump out of her thoughts and look at Tom at last. “There isn’t a thought behind those eyes, is there?” Tom commented, his lips stretching into a grin before his attention drifted back to Elena.
“Well, funny you should ask.” Tom pushed away from the wall, stuffing his hands in his pockets. He didn't remember it right away, how he ended up here. It came to him with time. It definitely explained the blood on his shirt. He would've expected the scent of the blood to make him hungry, but it just never affected him. Not like in the "real world". “It was just after I had finished sucking a guy's blood dry when I saw this guy on a horse. Yeah, a horse. Like we’re in the wild, wild west or something. He took me and next thing I knew, I was waking up here. What ‘bout you?”

Elena had seen a lot over the last few years ever since the Salvatore brothers returned to Mystic Falls and her eyes were opened to the supernatural world but the truth was that she had never seen anything like this before. So many people had been taken and Elena didn't know who was behind it or what they were up to but she was determined to find a way to get out of there. She hadn't been successful in waking up Lizzie or anyone else that she knew so far, the only person she had come across that was awake that she actually knew was Stiles and so far they hadn't been able to find anything even remotely useful. Seeing Tom now was both a good and a bad thing as far as she was concerned, it was good to see that someone else was awake but she hated that he had been taken too. "Very funny," Elena said, rolling her eyes playfully as Tom pretended not to remember who she was. It seemed that those who were taken were erased from the minds of those left behind so she honestly had wondered whether he would be able to remember her or not but it was such an obvious attempt although it did still make things seem normal even if only for a few moments. As he asked if it was really good to see him, Elena nodded. "Aside from one other person, you're the only one I've come across who is actually awake. Everyone else is completely zoned out," she explained. "I've tried to wake some of them up but I haven't had anymore luck than you have with her," she added, nodding towards the woman that Tom was trying to get to say something to him. She would be lying if she said that she wasn't worried about not being able to wake Lizzie and the others up but none of them seemed to be in pain and she could still remember just how disoriented she had been when she started to wake up out of whatever trance she had been put into. Elena didn't know how long it had taken her to wake up but she knew that she just had to trust that the others would wake up in their own time too or that she would at least be able to wake them up and get them home where they belonged. "I'd give it up as a lost cause for now if I were you, hopefully she'll wake up in her own time," she said as Tom tried to get the woman's attention once again. Elena's memories of what had happened when she was taken were still a little fuzzy but Tom's seemed to be clear and Elena's eyes widened in surprise as he said that he had just finished draining a guy's blood when he was taken. "You're a vampire?" she breathed. "When did that happen?" The last time she had seen him he had been human so it seemed like she had missed a lot already. "The guy who took you, any idea who he was?" she asked even though she was pretty sure that Tom would have said it he did. As he turned the question back around onto her, Elena's expression turned thoughtful for a moment. "It was probably a week or so after graduation. I was on my way home when someone grabbed me and I must have blacked out as the next thing I remember I woke up here. Now you mention it I'm pretty sure I remember the sound of a horse's hooves though so it unless there are others out there taking people too then it was probably the same guy."TOM AVERY
