Deep down Ethan had always suspected that there was more out there, he had always been a fan of superheroes and anything out of the ordinary and he had always believed it was possible that things that went bump in the night actually existed but now he was a part of that world and it was taking some time to get his head around it all. It had been a few days since MG had shown up at his place and something had attacked the two of them. Ethan had been wounded that day, fatally so, and MG had given him his blood in order to save him. Ethan didn’t blame him for that one bit and he was actually grateful that he had been given another chance at life but it was still a lot to take in, to say the least. He had already broken down once the night it had happened, he had come clean to MG about how he was feeling and MG had supported him the same way he always did. Ethan had never been good at talking about his feelings or what was on his mind but he had made an exception in the end that night and he had felt better for it.

Ever since then he had been doing his best to get used to all of this because the sooner he did that, the sooner he could return home. He had spoken to his mom and sister and he had assured them that he was fine and that he was staying with MG for a few bit. Fortunately they both liked MG so they didn’t seem to suspect anything and he knew that he needed to keep it that way for as long as possible. MG had warned him to expect that all of his emotions would be heightened and he had thought he had known what to expect but it was a lot more difficult than he had thought it would be. There were times when the reality of it all got a little too much and he had to disappear for a while to pull himself together and there were others when he felt so angry at the person who attacked him. The most confusing thing, however, was just how close he felt to MG right now. They had always been close but this was something else, it ran so much deeper. Ethan had thought that he might have feelings for MG before all of this but now he knew for sure and he had no idea how to feel about that or what to do with it. Instead all he could do was throw himself into training with MG and it was a relief to hear his friend’s voice calling out to him. “Sounds good to me,” he nodded as MG said they could do some training that day. There were spare rooms at the Boarding House but they had been sharing a room ever since Ethan woke up in transition. He knew that he wouldn’t be surprised if it was so MG could keep an eye on him but he knew that MG would want his own space back sooner or later so Ethan knew that he needed to figure all this out. “I was hoping you would say that, I’m starving,” he admitted as he pulled on his shoes before standing up and made his way over to his friend. “What’s on the agenda for today?” he asked, not sure what MG had in mind. Ethan had a feeling the guy had been easing him into it all somewhat but Ethan knew he was ready to give it a real try.
