Antonio couldn’t believe that the day had almost come for him to marry Ethan. Even now it all seemed so surreal, from the moment the guy had come back into his life he had felt something click into place. He hadn’t known what it was back then but Ela had helped him realise that what he felt for Ethan was so much more than friendship and not a day went by when he regretted them both coming clean about that. Antonio had always believed that as long as he had the girls in his life then he would be happy but deep down he had felt lonely ever since the day Ethan had died. None of his relationships had worked out and he hadn’t known why but now he knew that it was because he’d always found that special person. The girls had supported the two of them and they’d welcomed Ethan into the family even before the two of them had gotten together. Adding Elias to the mix after he lost his foster parents had seemed so natural and he knew now just how lucky he truly was. They hadn’t found a way to break the curse that ran in the girls’ blood just yet through their connection to Samara but they were close and Antonio knew that it was just a matter of time before they would be free from it once and for all. Things finally seemed to be falling into place for all of them and the following day they were going to make it official. Diego had joined them a couple of weeks ago and a few days ago Antonio’s parents had showed up as well. They were staying in a hotel for the time being but they were looking for a place of their own so that they could be closer to all of them and that meant the world to Antonio. He knew that it had taken them time to get their heads around the fact that he and Ethan were getting married. They had accepted their relationship and the fact that they had adopted Elias together but two men getting married went against their outdated beliefs. For a long time Antonio had worried that they would decide not to go but in the end they had come around and Antonio was pretty sure that it had a lot to do with what Diego had said to them. Night had fallen and although it wasn’t particularly late, the girls, Elias and Diego had all gone to their rooms early to give the two of them some privacy and they sat curled up together on the sofa watching something that Antonio really wasn’t paying a lot of attention to. His arms were wrapped around Ethan and in that moment he felt content and full of so much love. “I can’t believe we’re getting married tomorrow,” he admitted as he drew his gaze away from the tv to look at his soon to be husband. “It doesn’t feel real.”ETHAN ALVAREZ

Ethan was ecstatic, but he was also nervous. All of this felt oddly like a dream - a really good one and if it was a dream, then he didn't want to wake up from it. It was everything he'd wanted and more, honestly. He just felt incredibly lucky because for some people, you don't always wind up marrying your best friend but Ethan was one of those lucky people who ended up falling for his best friend and tomorrow, he was set to marry him and it just made him feel incredibly nervous because he really didn't want to screw this up. Right now, he was curled up on the couch with Antonio and the TV was currently playing a movie that he wasn't paying any attention, mainly because all he was focused on was Antonio and how safe he felt in his arms.
It was easy for him to forget all about tomorrow like this because now, all he was focused on was the feeling of Antonio's arms around him and the way he smelled of home. When Toni spoke up, there was a smile that easily formed on Ethan's lips as he released a sigh that almost sounded dreamy as he closed his eyes momentarily, imagining what will happen tomorrow and it seemed to awaken those butterflies in his stomach all over again as his heart raced up. "Right? It still feels like a dream to me. I don't even know where the time went. It's like I only started planning it yesterday," he breathed out with a soft chuckle following.
"I'm really excited, though." There was no point denying that bit. "It's going to be great and we're gonna have the time of our lives." Ethan sounded confident when he said that and that's because he was. He had no doubt in his mind that it was going to go really well. "The bit that I'm not very excited about is sleeping on our bed alone. I'm gonna miss holding you in the middle of the night and hogging all the heat." Ethan said with a soft sigh following as he gently rubbed Antonio's hand. It didn't take long for his smile to return, though. "I'm really glad your parents decided to come, by the way. I could tell how much that was worrying you but you seemed really relieved when you saw them. I'm really glad they left that old-fashioned mindset behind and picked us instead." It really was a relief. He didn't even want to imagine how it would have affected Antonio if he had gone through such a special day without his parents. Thankfully, they decided to pick them over those old-fashioned beliefs. At last, everything was just perfect.

For a long time Antonio had thought that he was never going to get a picture perfect life. Each of his past relationships hadn’t worked out and he’d ended up becoming a single dad with no idea what he was doing. Things had happened in completely the wrong order but the truth was that he didn’t regret it because everything that had happened had brought them to this point and by this time tomorrow Antonio knew that he would be married to his best friend. When they got together Ethan was right when he’d said that the time hadn’t been right for them before, they were both born into a different time when a relationship like theirs never would have been accepted no matter how real it was and neither of them would have admitted it back then either. They would have no doubt lived in denial and probably ended up making some really bad choices just to keep how they felt buried deep down and that wouldn’t have done either of them any good. Antonio still wished that they hadn’t had to spend that time apart because the truth was that it hadn’t been easy at all but he knew now that it had helped them both become who they were meant to be and it had made them realise that this was what they both wanted so he knew that he couldn’t really argue with that. Sitting on the couch now with Ethan in his arms just felt right and even though Antonio was nervous because he knew that the last thing he wanted was to do something to ruin what they had he was also confident that that wasn’t going to happen. They knew each other better than anyone and they knew what it was like to live without each other so he knew that neither of them was going to want to go through that again. Ethan’s words were enough to draw a laugh from Antonio and he nodded. “You got that right,” he chuckled. “I guess that’s what happens when we decide we don’t want to wait. I don’t think we really knew what we were letting ourselves in for,” he grinned. They’d had to act quickly because they hadn’t given themselves much time but it had all worked out. “We got there in the end though, it all looks incredible,” he added. They might not have given themselves much time but it had come together in the end and he knew that he wouldn’t have it any other way. “I am too. I know we can do this or renew our vows as many times as we like but this is our way of showing the world that we want to spend the rest of our lives together and making our family official. Tomorrow is always going to be special.” Antonio knew that it didn’t matter how long the two of them lived for they would always look back on their wedding day and he knew that that was as it should be. As Ethan spoke again and rubbed his hand, Antonio leaned forward and kissed the top of his head gently. “I’m not looking forward to that either but it’s only for one night,” Antonio assured him, knowing that he had no intention of spending anything more than that away from Ethan. “I am too,” he agreed as Ethan said he was glad that his parents had decided to come. “It wouldn’t have stopped me from marrying you tomorrow if they had decided not to come but it wouldn’t be the same without them,” he added. He had tried to put on a brave face for Ethan, the kids and Diego but the truth was that his parents being there really did mean a lot to him so he was glad that they had decided to attend. “Are you sure you don’t want to reach out to your parents? It’s not too late,” he offered, knowing that he didn’t want Ethan to end up having any regrets about their special day. ETHAN ALVAREZ

I guess that’s what happens when we decide we don’t want to wait. I don’t think we really knew what we were letting ourselves in for, We got there in the end though, it all looks incredible,
Ethan let out a soft chuckle before he nodded his head in agreement. "Yeah, I know most people usually take like a year just plannin' this whole stuff out. I think my parents actually told me that it took them two years for my dad to pop the question and two more for them to actually, y'know, get married. So I'm relieved it didn't take us that long." Ethan said with a soft smile resting on his lips and if he closed his eyes for a second or two, he could imagine how the wedding's going to look like and it made his heart flutter in the most pleasant way possible. "Right? The Wedding Planner lady was kind of offended that I didn't know the difference between Umbria Red and Burnt Peanut Red." Ethan let out a snicker as he thought about her offended look when she offered him decor colors and he just thought they were all the same colors.
I am too. I know we can do this or renew our vows as many times as we like but this is our way of showing the world that we want to spend the rest of our lives together and making our family official. Tomorrow is always going to be special.
Ethan felt a soft smile touch his lips at Antonio's words before he nodded his head. "Exactly. That's why tomorrow is so special to me. We'll be making our family official." Ethan said with a dreamy voice, still feeling quite excited about the whole thing. There was just no need for him to deny it or pretend that he wasn't. "I've been meaning to ask something, though." He turned a little bit to face Antonio better. "Would you want my surname or do you want me to take yours? Honestly, I'm okay with either because either way, you'd still be my beloved husband." Ethan said with a soft smile resting on his lips, his eyes resting upon Antonio, looking at him only.
I’m not looking forward to that either but it’s only for one night, I am too, It wouldn’t have stopped me from marrying you tomorrow if they had decided not to come but it wouldn’t be the same without them, Are you sure you don’t want to reach out to your parents? It’s not too late,
The kiss on his head was just so soft and so endearing that Ethan couldn't help but smile because of it. Antonio just knew how to make his heart skip a beat, didn't he? "Only for one night." He breathed out as a silent encouragement for himself to put up with them sleeping in different rooms. "Anything to avoid bad luck." There was yet another chuckle that fell from his lips as he said that, his hand moving to the back of his head to scratch it gently before his hand moved back down to rest on top of Antonio's. "I know it wouldn't have." He assured Toni when he told him that it wouldn't have stopped him from marrying Ethan. "It's still feels great to know that your parents will be there." He gave Antonio's hand a gentle squeeze before his smile faltered slightly at the mention of his parents. "I dunno, Toni. It might be. I mean, where would I even begin? I can't exactly tell them that hey, I'm not dead but here's my wedding invitation and it's not a girl, by the way." Ethan found little humor in what he said but he still laughed anyway. It was just a humorless and sad chuckle that faded a little too quickly. "Plus, they might actually ruin the mood tomorrow, so I don't want that. We can cross that bridge later when we come to it, what do you say? We can go meet them together if you'd like."

“I definitely couldn’t have waited two years to propose to you and another two to get married, it was hard enough waiting as long as we did,” Antonio chuckled. He knew that it wasn’t that way for everyone, some liked to take their time and make sure that it was right before taking that next step but on his part he had known that it was right from their very first kiss. It had taken him a long time to figure out how he really felt about Ethan and it was only after a little push from Ela and a near death experience that he had felt ready to admit it. They were both born into a very different time when their relationship never would have been accepted but things were so different now and Antonio really was glad about that. It still seemed a little surreal that this time tomorrow he would be married to his best friend, his soulmate, and the truth was that he couldn’t wait. As Ethan spoke again, Antonio couldn’t help but laugh. “I’ll let you in on a secret, I couldn’t tell the difference either,” he grinned. He knew that the wedding planner wasn’t happy at all about that but Antonio was pretty sure that there wasn’t a difference between them anyway. “Definitely. I’m so proud of everything we’ve built here,” Antonio admitted. It had become a real home even when it was just him and the girls but the truth was he had always felt like there was something missing. Adding Ethan and then Elias to the family had felt right and he couldn’t deny that he loved the way that things were now but he didn’t want to spend any longer than he had to without Ethan as his husband. Antonio’s gaze came to rest on Ethan as he said that there was something that he’d been meaning to ask him and as Ethan revealed what that was, Antonio’s expression turned thoughtful for a moment. “I hadn’t really thought about that, all I’ve been thinking about is finally becoming your husband,” he answered honestly. “I could become Antonio Wheeler, you could become Ethan Alvarez or we could hyphenate. I know my parents want the Alvarez name to continue in some way but they have Diego too so it doesn’t really matter to me,” he shrugged. “Which sounds better to you?” he asked, not sure if Ethan had thought about it too much and had heard the different options out loud before or not. The kids had Antonio’s surname as well but he knew that they would figure something out. “I wouldn’t want to spend more than that away from you,” he said gently. Ever since the day after he’d returned home following getting trapped in the cave he and Ethan had shared the same bed. That was the day that they had finally ended up getting together and the truth was that Antonio hadn’t looked back since. They’d taken everything at their own pace and they hadn’t rushed into anything physical, they had waited until they were both ready just as they had done with everything else. One thing that Antonio had come to realise was that he and Ethan were always on the same page about things and he knew that he wouldn’t have that any other way. “It does. I think Diego was secretly pleased that they showed up as well, it took a lot of courage for him to come out to them and stand up for us at the same time the way he did,” he admitted. His brother had done his best to make it look like he wasn’t worried about what would happen with their parents but Antonio knew him well enough to know that that was just an act. His brother had been worried about it too but their parents had come through for them in the end and he truly was glad about that. Antonio felt a smile touch his lips as Ethan squeezed his hand but he could see the way that Ethan’s smile faltered when he mentioned his parents and that was enough to make Antonio’s heart ache. “I know you haven’t seen your parents since we met but mine came through for me and I hope that yours will too,” he said gently. “Whatever you want to do I’ll support you but no matter what happens you don’t have to tell them on your own, I’ll be right there with you. You always have my back and I always have yours.”ETHAN ALVAREZ

I definitely couldn’t have waited two years to propose to you and another two to get married, it was hard enough waiting as long as we did, I’ll let you in on a secret, I couldn’t tell the difference either,
Ethan grinned at Toni's words before he turned his head to look at him better. "Yeah, we definitely would have dried up by then. Four years just to get married is a little too long for my liking, if I'm being honest. Plus, I was never the patient type, anyway." Ethan said with a snicker falling from his lips shortly after, his eyes relaxing solely on Antonio, watching him and when he admitted that he didn't know the difference between the colors, he found himself laughing. "I'm really glad I'm not the only one. Plus, why name it Peanut if it's not gonna be shaped like a peanut? It's just confusing at this point."
Definitely. I’m so proud of everything we’ve built here, I hadn’t really thought about that, all I’ve been thinking about is finally becoming your husband, I could become Antonio Wheeler, you could become Ethan Alvarez or we could hyphenate. I know my parents want the Alvarez name to continue in some way but they have Diego too so it doesn’t really matter to me, Which sounds better to you?
Ethan felt a soft smile appear on his lips as he listened to Antonio. "Me too. I'm really proud of everything we've built here. I have a family now and it's literally the best thing ever. I feel really content now." Ethan's voice was gentle as he spoke. He might have had a family before Antonio, but they never really felt like a family to him. He had always craved a family like this one. Warm, loving and caring. He really couldn't ask for anything more. He just felt so loved here and he didn't want to think of parting ways from them, not even for a second. "I mean, if you go by Wheeler, it will probably require a little more work, especially with the girls and Elias, too." Ethan said with a quick shrug of his shoulders following, his eyes resting upon Antonio. "So, I was thinking of going with Ethan Alvarez. It has a really nice ring to it, don't you think?'
I wouldn’t want to spend more than that away from you, It does. I think Diego was secretly pleased that they showed up as well, it took a lot of courage for him to come out to them and stand up for us at the same time the way he did, I know you haven’t seen your parents since we met but mine came through for me and I hope that yours will too, Whatever you want to do I’ll support you but no matter what happens you don’t have to tell them on your own, I’ll be right there with you. You always have my back and I always have yours.
"I'm really glad." Ethan said with a soft smile resting on his lips. "Because I'm the same way too. I don't think I can spend any time away from you, if I'm being honest." Ethan's voice was soft as he spoke, his eyes relaxing upon Antonio. "I'm really glad they accepted you both for who you are and I'm glad they're not being old-fashioned about it. It's about time they dropped that mindset behind their backs and actually evolved like what the world is doing right now, too." Ethan said with a quick nod of his head following, his voice remaining soft as he spoke, his hand giving Antonio's a gentle squeeze as he reassured Ethan. "Thank you, Toni. I really appreciate that." He leaned forward to press a gentle kiss on his lips that lasted a few seconds before he eventually pulled away from him. "We always have each other's backs." That's what makes their relationship so special. They're each other's partners. They've got each other and they'll continue to support each other no matter what. He truly felt lucky to have someone like Antonio in his life. He just always made Ethan feel so special. So content.
"We should probably get some sleep, right? Beauty sleep and all, to make sure our skin is glowing tomorrow and we look extra handsome. Though I will get extremely jealous if you look any more handsome than this. I don't want anyone eyeing you." Ethan teased in a light-hearted fashion as he leaned forward to leave another quick kiss on Antonio's lips. God, he loved him. He loved him so much to the point where he was convinced that words simply would not be able to express how much. He loved him.

“We didn’t even want to wait a year,” Antonio chuckled. “I don’t think anyone else has been through what we’ve been through though,” he added. “I’m not the patient type either, not when it comes to wanting to spend the rest of my life with you.” They had already experienced what it was like to lose each other once when Ethan died and they had come close to going through that again last year. Antonio knew that they could have waited longer than they had done before deciding that they wanted to get married but the truth was that he hadn’t wanted to waste another minute. They had only been together for a few months when he’d gone out and bought the ring for Ethan and had it not been for everything that had happened with Elias and the adoption then Antonio knew that he would have asked Ethan to marry him straight away. As it was he had wanted to but he had instead decided to wait until things settled down and he didn’t regret that. Hearing Ethan laugh when he admitted that he hadn’t been able to tell the difference between the colours either was enough to draw a smile to Antonio’s face. “It really doesn’t make any sense,” he grinned. “Perhaps we should have asked Ela, I bet she would have been able to fill us in,” he chuckled, knowing that their daughter was usually pretty good with things like that. “I’m so glad to hear you say that,” Antonio admitted as he took Ethan’s hand in his and gave it a gentle squeeze. “I haven’t forgotten about what you said before about wanting to have another child. Perhaps that’s something we can start looking into soon,” he offered, knowing that he wanted to give Ethan everything. They had both been through so much and he knew how much having a child that was his biologically meant to Ethan so Antonio knew that he wanted to make that happen. He was content with the way that things were now but the truth was that they had so much love to give and he couldn’t deny that the idea of making their family a little bigger was something that he could get behind. As Ethan spoke again, Antonio’s expression turned thoughtful once more. “That’s true,” he agreed as Ethan said that him changing his surname would mean more work since the kids shared his surname too. “Ethan Alvarez has an incredible ring to it,” Antonio said, letting his hand rest against Ethan’s cheek as he kissed him gently. “It’s perfect, you’re perfect.” It really did mean a lot to him that Ethan was willing to do that, more than he could put into words right now. “Luckily we won’t have to,” he said, a smile forming on his face as his eyes met Ethan’s. They were going to be spending one night apart but no more than that and the truth was that Antonio was glad about that. He had grown so used to waking up next to Ethan and he knew that he didn’t want to spend more than one night away from the man he loved. “Definitely. They’ve always been old fashioned and I was like that for a while too but they’re trying to change and I’m glad they’re open to sharing in this with us,” he admitted. He would have married Ethan regardless but knowing that his parents were accepting of it and wanted to share in their special day really did mean the world to him. The way Ethan squeezed his hand was enough to bring a smile to Antonio’s face and he kissed him back gently. “Always. We’re partners, it’s what we do,” he nodded. They always looked out for each other while they were working and it was the same when they were off the clock as well. They supported each other and he knew that there was no way that he was going to ever let Ethan go through something like that on his own. As Ethan said that they should probably get some sleep before saying that he didn’t want anyone eyeing him, Antonio couldn’t help but laugh. “You don’t need to worry about that, even if they did I’ve only ever had eyes for you,” he chuckled as he kissed Ethan back, his heart fluttering as he did so. “I can’t guarantee I won’t feel jealous if anyone looks at you that way though,” he grinned, remembering the way he had felt the night that Ethan had ended up getting hit on at the Grill while they were hanging out. “You’re right, we should probably get some sleep,” he added as he kissed Ethan’s shoulder gently. “The sooner we do the sooner I get to call you my husband,” he said, a smile forming on his face as he lifted his gaze to meet Ethan’s. “Come on,” he said, getting to his feet and leading the way upstairs where he kissed Ethan once more before they reluctantly parted ways, Ethan heading to their shared bedroom while Antonio made his way to Diego’s room like they’d agreed so that they could keep tradition by spending the night apart.
It had been a busy morning getting ready but as it came time for the ceremony to start, Antonio couldn’t help but feel excited and those feelings overtook any nerves that he might have been feeling before. He’d spent some time with each of the kids while they were getting ready but now the time had come for him to marry the love of his life and, as he took his place by the archway in front of all of their friends and family to wait for Ethan, Antonio couldn’t wait. We didn’t even want to wait a year, I don’t think anyone else has been through what we’ve been through though, I’m not the patient type either, not when it comes to wanting to spend the rest of my life with you.
Ethan let out a chuckle at that when he realized that they didn't even want to wait a year before getting married. He pointed his finger at Antonio as if saying you've got a point there. He guessed that they were just not like the others and despite being immortal, they didn't want to wait for too long to do what they both want to do and that is to get married. His parents might disagree with his decision, if he ever chose to meet up with them that is, but he wouldn't care because they suffered enough and they were apart for the longest time too. Shouldn't that be more than enough already? He didn't want to waste another second away from Toni. He's had enough. Ethan could feel his cheeks heat up and all it took was just one sentence from Antonio. He dipped his head down with a shy smile resting on his lips as he shyly scratched the back of his neck. "This isn't fair. It's not fair just how easy it is for you to turn me into this mush." Ethan said with a soft chuckle following as his attempt at scolding Antonio failed miserably when he couldn't fight the smile off his face.
It really doesn’t make any sense, Perhaps we should have asked Ela, I bet she would have been able to fill us in, I’m so glad to hear you say that, I haven’t forgotten about what you said before about wanting to have another child. Perhaps that’s something we can start looking into soon,
Ethan nodded his head a few times at that. "Yeah, that little lady is skilled at way too many things, honestly. Just like her dad." Ethan complimented with an easy smile resting on his lips. His eyes relaxed on Antonio again when he mentioned him wanting another kid, or at least talking about it. "Yeah, I do. I mean, our lives are good, our kids are healthy and grown-ups, I thought that maybe we could have like... a baby, y'know. Not like... we're gonna abduct him or her, of course. No abduction included. You know, like, uh... Our baby. We can't really give birth because y'know... of obvious reasons so I thought maybe surrogacy or adoption could work, y'know. But we can talk about this in detail later. For now, let's just focus on getting married."
That’s true. Ethan Alvarez has an incredible ring to it, It’s perfect, you’re perfect.
Ethan's smile returned to his lips with ease at Antonio's words, finding them incredibly sweet as his heart fluttered one more time. He leaned forward and returned the kiss, his hands moving up to cup Antonio's cheek as his thumb gently rubbed circles against the skin of his cheek. "You're perfect, too. More than perfect, even." Ethan breathed out against his lips before he pulled back with a rather content smile resting on his lips. "Ethan Alvarez..." He repeated with a dreamy little sigh falling from his lips, looking quite happy right now.
Luckily we won’t have to, Definitely. They’ve always been old fashioned and I was like that for a while too but they’re trying to change and I’m glad they’re open to sharing in this with us, Always. We’re partners, it’s what we do, You don’t need to worry about that, even if they did I’ve only ever had eyes for you, I can’t guarantee I won’t feel jealous if anyone looks at you that way though, You’re right, we should probably get some sleep, The sooner we do the sooner I get to call you my husband, Come on,
Ethan gave Antonio's hand a gentle squeeze as he listened to him talk. He nodded his head a few times as he continued listening. "I'm glad too. I'm glad they accepted you guys. I'm glad they accepted us." Partners. They were partners in their every day life, whether it be at work or at home. They were the same. "Partners." He said with a fond smile resting on his lips. A content smile soon appeared on Ethan's lips when Antonio told him that even they looked at him, he'd only ever have eyes for him. "Sappy." He teased in a light-hearted voice. "Just how I love it." He added shortly after with a fond chuckle falling from his lips. "Oh don't worry, baby. I only have my eyes on you, doesn't matter who looks, you're the one for me. Always."
Ethan wondered if he'd be able to get any sleep from the amount of excitement he was experiencing but he figured the only way to know an answer to that is to go to sleep, so with a heavy heart, he decided it was time to head to their room. "I can't wait to call you my husband." Ethan said with a fond smile on his lips. "And change my relationship status on Facebook from Engaged to Married, it's bound to get a lotta likes, don't you think?" Ethan teased with a chuckle falling from his lips shortly after. It wasn't long before they'd reached their room and soon enough, he was stepping closer so that he could kiss Toni and when he parted, he almost released a noise that was a little too needy. He watched him with the edges of his lips dropping down in a small frown, which could also be seen as a pout, and once he was no longer in sight, he reluctantly went into their bedroom where he collapsed on the bed with his arm over his eyes to block them from any light. He tossed and turned a bit that night and he even got up and almost walked to Diego's room before he shook his head and went back to their bedroom to try and get some sleep again.
When the next day rolled back, Ethan was a mess but in a good way. He'd just never felt so happy in his life. He had everyone he cared about right here in their home and it was perfect in every way possible. When it was finally time to marry the love of his life, he couldn't be more ready and so, he finally appeared which caused eyes to settle upon him, though Ethan's eyes were focused on just one person.
His future husband.
The man who stole his heart, the man who made him the happiest person in the world. The man he was beyond eager to marry. But he couldn't exactly speed up and reach him in no time, could he? Not with him clasping Elias' arm as they both approached the love of his life. Ethan was worried that everyone could hear how rapidly his heart was beating right now but it wasn't out of fear or anything like that. He was just nervous but at the same time, he was happy and the man in front of him was the reason behind it all.

Antonio couldn’t help but laugh along with Ethan as the guy pointed a finger at him as if to say that he was right. They hadn’t been together for very long but given their history they both knew that being together was right and neither of them wanted to waste another minute. Antonio was beyond ready for the two of them to start their life together and even though he’d said that he thought that getting married the day after they’d proposed to each other was a little quick considering that there was so much that they’d had to plan, the truth was that he would have been quite happy to do that. They could have taken the kids with them and eloped but the truth was that being able to celebrate the day with the people who meant the most to them was a much better idea as far as Antonio was concerned. They were going to have their family and friends around them and that was as it should be. Ethan’s words were enough to draw a smile to Antonio’s face and he lifted Ethan’s head gently as he looked down. “But you’re so cute when you blush,” he said, his words sincere even as his smile widened. Ethan was incredibly handsome but there was something different about him whenever he was bashful like this and he never failed to make Antonio fall in love with him that much more. “Definitely. It’s a little scary sometimes,” he chuckled as Ethan said that Ela was skilled at way too many things. The compliment that left Ethan’s words next was enough to have Antonio’s cheeks flushing red slightly this time though and he didn’t doubt that Ethan would pick up on it but the truth was that he didn’t really mind. “I do like the idea of having a baby around again. It was a whirlwind with the girls because I was on my own and I didn’t really know what I was doing at first but practice makes perfect,” he grinned. They had already talked about the idea of having a mini Ethan running around before and the truth was that it was still incredibly tempting now. Antonio knew that they didn’t need to rush into anything, though, they had their whole lives ahead of them and he knew that everything would fall into place in time. “I like the sound of that,” he admitted as Ethan said that they could talk about the details later but that for now they should just focus on getting married. Antonio knew that Ethan was right, it was easy to get carried away with everything that was going on but right now he knew that they just needed to focus on one thing at a time and right now their focus needed to be their big day tomorrow. Antonio couldn’t help but lean into Ethan’s touch as the guy traced circles over his cheek with his thumb. Even now there were still times when he couldn’t believe that he had fallen for his best friend and that it was mutual but he knew that he wouldn’t have it any other way. Antonio’s smile returned as Ethan said that he was perfect too and that smile only widened as Ethan spoke again. “Ethan Alvarez, I love it,” he admitted as he let his hand rest gently against Ethan’s cheek. “I love you so much.” It had taken him almost dying for him to be able to say those words for the first time but now he knew that he was never going to get tired of saying them. As Ethan said that he was glad his parents had accepted him and Diego as well as his relationship with Ethan, Antonio nodded. “I am too. I don’t want anyone in my life who doesn’t accept all of us for who we are.” It was strange to think that only a few months ago Antonio had never thought that he would end up finding himself in a relationship with another man but he loved Ethan with every fibre of his being and he knew that there wasn’t anyone else that he wanted to be with so it meant the world to him that everyone in his life had accepted that. Ethan repeating that they were partners was enough to draw a smile from Antonio once more before he rolled his eyes playfully as Ethan said he was sappy. “You’re lucky, you’re the only one I’m ever like this with,” he chuckled before his expression softened at Ethan’s next words. “You’re the one for me too, you always have been,” he admitted. He hadn’t known it back then but now everything made sense and he knew that he wouldn’t have it any other way. Not sleeping next to Ethan really was the last thing Antonio wanted but it was only for one night as he kept reminding himself and even though they weren’t upholding that many traditions, that was one that they had agreed on and he knew that it would be worth it in the end. “I can’t either,” he admitted as Ethan said that he couldn’t wait to call him his husband. “I’m sure it will, all your friends and followers will be thrilled,” he chuckled, unable to resist teasing Ethan as he asked if changing his relationship status would get a lot of likes. It wasn’t too much longer before they reached their room and for the first time since moving into the house, Antonio knew that he wasn’t going to be sleeping in there. It was strange to say the least but he knew that he could do it since it was only for one night. “I love you. I’ll see you tomorrow,” he said, stealing one more kiss before heading down the hall to his brother’s room. They had agreed that they would share for the night but when he got there they ended up talking for a little while before Diego announced that he was going to give him some space so that he could have the room to himself. Antonio’s protests ended up falling on deaf ears and soon enough he was left on his own but he quickly fell asleep. It wasn’t as peaceful a sleep as he was able to get when he slept next to Ethan and more than a few times he woke up in the night and thought about going back to their room and ignoring tradition but he refrained and finally the next time he woke up it was to find that it was morning. They had left themselves plenty of time to get ready and when it was time for the ceremony to start Antonio walked down the aisle with Eli on one side of him and Ela on the other. The fact that all three of the kids were so on board with everything meant so much to him and as Ethan made his way down the aisle next with Elias beside him, Antonio’s breath caught in his throat. He really couldn’t be any more proud of the family they had built and his eyes were full of nothing but love for Ethan. They had come so close a few times to not being able to make this day a reality but now it was here and Antonio was truly happy. “I can’t believe we’re finally doing this, I love you so much,” he breathed as he stole a quick kiss. “You look so handsome.” With the kids and Diego stood with them, Antonio kept his gaze locked on Ethan as the celebrant started to speak and before long it was time for them to make their vows and Antonio knew that he should probably go first. “I feel like I’ve known you for several lifetimes already,” he began as he took Ethan’s hands in his, choosing his words carefully so as to not tip off their human friends about what they were. “For a long time you were my brother and my best friend but deep down I’ve always known that you were more than that, it just took me a while to admit it. You’ve always accepted me for exactly who I am and you’ve taught me that it doesn’t matter who you love as long as you’re happy. You’ve become my rock, my partner at work and in life and I know that I’ve been lucky to find my soulmate in you. We haven’t been together for very long but I’m a better person for having you in my life. We’ve built a home and a family together and not a day goes by where I don’t count myself lucky that you came back into my life when you did. You’re the person I want to spend the rest of my life with and I’m so happy we’re able to do this today surrounded by the people we love. I don’t know what the future is going to hold but I feel blessed knowing that I’ll face it with you,” he said as he took the ring and slid it onto Ethan’s finger so that it sat next to his engagement ring. “ I, Antonio Miguel Alvarez, take you Ethan Alexander Wheeler to be my lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part.”ETHAN ALVAREZ

But you’re so cute when you blush. Definitely. It’s a little scary sometimes, I do like the idea of having a baby around again. It was a whirlwind with the girls because I was on my own and I didn’t really know what I was doing at first but practice makes perfect, I like the sound of that,
Ethan felt a soft smile appear on his lips when Antonio told him that he looked cute when he blushed. "Okay, now you just wanna make me blush harder." He said with a soft chuckle falling from his lips as he moved his hand to press it against his cheek, feeling the heat emitting from it. Yup, he was definitely still blushing. "Just a little bit." Ethan pinched a space between his index and thumb to showcase just how little it was. His eyes relaxed on Toni again and the sight of him blushing was more than enough to cause a fond smile to appear on his lips. "You look so cute when you blush." He said with a soft voice, his eyes still focused on his fiance. "Like seriously. It should be illegal for someone to be this cute."
It was the thought of having a baby around that made his heart flip in the nicest way possible as he imagined having to take care of a baby and making all these great memories with them. It was something that he had always wanted and imagining it right now was more than enough to cause his lips to stretch into a soft smile. "I'd really like that." A baby boy or girl to call their own and raise. "It must have been really hard for you to raise the girls on your own but you did really well. I can tell just how much they love you and how much you mean to them."
Ethan Alvarez, I love it, I love you so much. I am too. I don’t want anyone in my life who doesn’t accept all of us for who we are. You’re lucky, you’re the only one I’m ever like this with, You’re the one for me too, you always have been, I can’t either, I’m sure it will, all your friends and followers will be thrilled, I love you. I’ll see you tomorrow,
Ethan felt a soft smile when Antonio told him that he loved his new name before telling him that he loved him so much which was more than enough to cause his heart to skip a beat. "Me too, Toni. I love you so much." He said in a sincere voice because he truly did love Antonio a lot. He meant the world to him, truthfully. He nodded his head in agreement with Toni's words because he should never have to keep someone in his life that doesn't accept him for who he is. If they simply can't accept them, then they can't be in their lives. Ethan was certain that he was going to keep that mindset whenever he'd go meet his parents. If they can't accept them, then they can't stay in his life. "Trust me, I consider myself the luckiest person in the entire world every day I wake up and find you guys in my lives, still." He said with a soft smile because sometimes, he feared that all of this would just be a dream. His next words were enough to make him feel all sorts of emotional but thankfully, he didn't cry. He just felt overwhelmingly happy. Ethan chuckled at Toni's words before he nodded his head a few times in agreement. Though when it was time for them to part, he headed on to his room and after a night of tossing and turning, he was finally able to get some sleep and in the morning, it was time.
I can’t believe we’re finally doing this, I love you so much, You look so handsome. I feel like I’ve known you for several lifetimes already, For a long time you were my brother and my best friend but deep down I’ve always known that you were more than that, it just took me a while to admit it. I don’t know what the future is going to hold but I feel blessed knowing that I’ll face it with you, I, Antonio Miguel Alvarez, take you Ethan Alexander Wheeler to be my lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part.
Ethan returned the quick kiss and when they pulled back, he looked quite content. "Me too. I'm really happy we're doing this. I love you much more." Ethan said with a soft smile resting on his lips and he meant every word, especially how much he loved Toni. He loved him more than words could ever begin to describe. "You too. You look really handsome. The suit looks great on you." He complimented back with a soft smile on his lips. He took Toni's hands in his own, unable to hold back the fact that he was shaking a little bit, but it was all due to his excitement, really. Antonio's words were more than enough to cause tears to fill his eyes as he looked at Antonio, paying close attention to him as he digested every word that he said. Ethan tried his hardest to hold his tears back, but he really couldn't, especially when Toni slipped the ring onto his finger. "Shit, sorry." He wiped his tears away quickly. "I didn't think I was gonna cry that easily." Ethan said with a breathless chuckle falling from his lips.
"For the longest time, I've been on my own. I, uh... didn't really believe in love that much because all I saw were my parents and they weren't exactly good example, so I thought love was something that's meant to be painful, full of fights and restless nights but falling in love with you, Toni, has been so natural, I thought you were like a brother to me, but then all of it changed when I almost lost you. That day, it all dawned on me that I was in love with you. I realized that day that I loved you too much to think of you just as a brother. You mean the world to me and I love you more than words could ever begin to describe. You're the best partner one could ever hope for and every day, I feel so incredibly lucky to have you and our little family with me. You give me strength and you give me so much hope. Before you, I used to think so lowly of myself, I... I used to think that I wasn't worth loving and then you came along and changed that entirely. I see myself differently now and it's all because of you, Toni. You mean the world to me and I'll continue to love you for the rest of our lives... Until we're old and wrinkly and rocking on our little chairs on our front porch as we watch the sun go down." Ethan said with a soft smile resting on his lips. He knew that they can't age, but he was mostly saying this to not tip off their human friends.
Ethan reached for the ring to slip it on Antonio's finger, accidentally slipping it on the wrong finger due to how shaky his hand was. "Sorry, wrong one." Ethan breathed out with a nervous chuckle following as he eventually got it on the right finger. "I, Ethan Alexander Wheeler, take you Antonio Miguel Alvarez to be my lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part." Ethan reached for Antonio's cheeks, cupping them gently when they were given the clear to kiss each other. "I love you," he breathed out first before leaning forward to close the distance between them to kiss Antonio on the lips.

“Maybe a little bit,” Antonio teased, unable to stop a smile from forming on his face as Ethan said that now he just wanted to make him blush more. He was so used to seeing Ethan looking so sure of himself most of the time that seeing him like this really was endearing to say the least. It was strange to think that only a few months ago he was worried about coming clean to Ethan and finding out that he didn’t feel the same and now in just a few short hours they were going to be getting married. Antonio hadn’t had an easy time coming to terms with the fact that he had fallen in love with his best friend, in fact it had taken him almost dying to realise that he didn’t want to waste another minute not being honest with himself, Ethan or those around them. When Ela had asked him about their relationship he had assured her that they weren’t like that because he hadn’t wanted to admit it but he knew now that there really wasn’t anything wrong with it, soon enough they were going to be saying their vows in front of the people who mattered most to them in the world and Antonio knew that they had their full support so as far as he was concerned nothing else mattered. Antonio couldn’t help but laugh as Ethan agreed that how good Ela was at things was just a little scary and an embarrassed smile formed on his face as Ethan spoke again. “We’ve really become one of those couples, haven’t we?” he teased, his expression playful as he looked over at Ethan. He’d meant it when he’d said that Ethan was cute when he blushed and he could tell that Ethan meant it too, it had just never occurred to him that he might find something as incredible as what the two of them had. “Luckily it’s reserved just for you,” he added with a grin, knowing that no one else could make him blush the way Ethan seemed to have a talent to. Talking about having a baby the night before they got married might seem a little strange to some but to Antonio it felt perfectly natural. He knew that it wasn’t going to be as easy for them for obvious reasons but it was something they both wanted so one way or another he knew that they would make it happen. “I thought you might,” he admitted with a smile as Ethan said that he would really like to have another child. They already had the three kids but they were teenagers and they didn’t need them as much now. Antonio had such fond memories of raising the girls when they were younger despite how difficult it had been at times and he knew that he wanted Ethan to have that chance as well. “They mean the world to me, so do you and Elias,” he nodded. “I always wondered what it would like to be able to raise a kid with someone I love,” he added. Raising the girls on his own wasn’t easy and there were a few times when he had wondered whether he was doing the right thing by trying to raise them on his own rather than letting his parents take care of them but he had stood by his decision and he didn’t regret it for a minute. He and Ethan hadn’t really talked about what name they were going to use when they got married, Elias had taken his surname on since it was the same as the girls’ but Antonio hadn’t really thought about whether one or both of them would change their name or whether they would stay as they were. The fact that Ethan was willing to change his name really did mean a lot to Antonio and he brought his hand up and let it rest against Ethan’s cheek as his forehead rested against his fiancé’s. “Thank you, it really does mean a lot,” he said sincerely. He knew that they would have figured something out either way but he couldn’t deny that Ethan Alvarez had an incredible ring to it and Antonio felt his heart start to race a little the same way it always did whenever Ethan said he loved him. He hadn’t realised for just how long he had wanted to hear those words from Ethan but now everything was out in the open he knew that he would never get tired of hearing them or saying them. As Ethan spoke again, Antonio leaned forward and connected their lips in a gentle kiss. He knew that Ethan’s relationship with his parents was complicated and the guy had always felt like he was on his own but he wasn’t, not as long as Antonio was around. “We’re always going to be here for you, you know that right?” he asked gently. “This is our time now, ours and our family’s. No one can take that away from us.” He knew that wasn’t strictly true as his parents had found out the hard way but he and Ethan were different and so were their kids. They were all careful and they avoided drawing too much attention to themselves the way his parents had done when they were younger and he knew that they were going to be just fine, they had to be. Parting ways with Ethan as they headed to different rooms was one of the hardest things he’d had to do for a long time but thankfully sleep eventually claimed him and Antonio was able to get at least a few hours in before morning. Antonio took the chance to spend some time with each of the kids while he could that morning but Ethan was the one he needed to see and he felt his breath catch in his throat as Ethan finally made his way towards him at the end of the aisle. “Probably best not to start a competition now, we can settle this later,” he teased, his smile gentle as he looked over at Ethan. “Thank you,” he said sincerely as Ethan said that the suit looked great on him. It was a little different but he’d liked it as soon as he’d tried it on and it looked like it had had the desired effect. Antonio had thought long and hard about what he wanted to say to Ethan, he’d wanted to make sure that it was perfect but as soon as he started speaking the words started flowing out of their own accord and he knew that he needn’t have worried after all. He could feel that Ethan’s hands were shaking in his own and Antonio gave them a gentle squeeze. He could feel butterflies in the pit of his stomach but he knew that they were a good thing and as he slipped the ring onto Ethan’s finger, a gentle smile formed on Antonio’s face at the sight of the tears in his eyes. “I think this is the one day we can both get away with it,” he assured him, knowing that no one would blame them considering that it was an emotional day for all of them. Soon enough it was Ethan’s turn and Antonio found himself listening intently to every word. He had promised himself that he wasn’t going to cry but he could hear how genuine Ethan’s words were and as he talked about them growing old together, Antonio let out a chuckle. “I can’t wait,” he grinned as he quickly wiped away a few tears that had started to fall. He knew that they weren’t going to age but that didn’t matter, they were still going to spend the rest of their lives together and that started now. As Ethan slid the ring onto the wrong finger, Antonio couldn’t help but laugh. “Why am I not surprised?” he teased before feeling his heart literally melt as Ethan recited the same vows he had. It wasn’t much longer before it was announced that they were married and as Ethan’s hands cupped his cheeks, Antonio’s hands found his husband’s waist and he stepped closer to Ethan. “I love you too, my husband,” he breathed and a moment later their lips finally met and he poured everything that he had into that one kiss, not even caring that there were people watching. We’ve really become one of those couples, haven’t we? Luckily it’s reserved just for you, I thought you might, They mean the world to me, so do you and Elias, I always wondered what it would like to be able to raise a kid with someone I love, Thank you, it really does mean a lot, We’re always going to be here for you, you know that right? This is our time now, ours and our family’s. No one can take that away from us.
Ethan chuckled at Toni's words before he nodded his head a couple of times in agreement. "Yup, we totally have." He agreed with yet another chuckle falling from his lips. "I just always wanna shower you in compliments, it's not my fault you do the same thing too." He said with a grin resting on his lips, his eyes relaxing upon Antonio once more. "All mine." Ethan sounded rather proud when he said that and that's because he was. All of it was just reserved for him and there's no denying the fact that he liked that quite a bit. So do you and Elias, something about that sentence made his heart skip a beat. He wondered just when he had gotten so lucky, honestly. He'd always felt like he wasn't enough but thanks to Toni, that worry was no longer present. "Me too. I've always thought about raising a kid and I've always wanted to be a dad, too." Ethan said with a gentle smile resting on his lips, his eyes relaxing upon Toni. "It must be such a wonderful feeling." He didn't know that the boy living under the same roof as them was actually his son. "Of course, babe. I'd be honored to carry your name, too." Ethan said with a gentle smile resting on his lips. His eyes relaxed on Toni again, his words making his heart skip a beat. Toni always seemed to know what he wanted to hear. "Thank you, Toni. It really means a lot to me to hear you say that." Ethan said with a gentle smile resting on his lips. It genuinely made him feel so much happiness. "I know. I won't let anyone take this away from us. Ever." Not even his own parents.
Then the big day rolled by and he was a mess of nerves. Though he was definitely grateful that Elias had entered his room when he did because it kind of stopped him from having a total mental breakdown and when it was time, his nerves seemed to ease quite a bit because Toni had been the one he wanted to see the most and it filled him with so much ease to see him and he looked beyond amazing in his suit and it made him feel like he was falling in love with him all over again.
Probably best not to start a competition now, we can settle this later, Thank you, I think this is the one day we can both get away with it,
Ethan let out a chuckle at Toni's words when he told him that it would be best not to start a competition right now. "Okay yeah, we can settle this later." He said with a quick nod of his head following. "But I definitely love you way more." He whispered under his breath before he feigned innocence like he didn't say anything at all. Ethan chuckled and nodded his head when Toni told him that they'd be able to get away with it today. "That's true. I just wanted to uphold my intimidating aura, y'know. Can't let people know that I'm such a softie for my husband." Ethan teased with a smile forming on his lips shortly after.
I can’t wait, Why am I not surprised? I love you too, my husband,
Ethan smiled because Toni knew that they can't exactly age so having that won't exactly be possible but hey, some people here don't need to know that. Ethan laughed when Toni teased him. "Shut up," he breathed out in the midst of his laughter. Ethan poured all of his love and emotions through this kiss to show Antonio just how much he loved him and how much the older meant to him. He made him feel so special and so loved, he truly couldn't imagine his life without him. He meant so much to him. "My husband." Ethan tested and it felt so smooth and so natural and he liked it quite a lot. People were clapping and they looked genuinely happy for them and it made him even happier. "We did it." Ethan breathed against his lips. "We're really married." It felt like it was just yesterday when he'd started planning for their wedding but now they're actually married and it made him so ... happy.
He leaned back, his hand moving down to clasp Toni's in his own, giving it a gentle squeeze like the other had done when he saw that Ethan's hands were shaking from how nervous he felt. "I'm not gonna lie, they usually only show up to this part in the movies when it comes to weddings, so I'm not sure what happens next, but we could uh, spend some time with our guests? Or do you wanna do something else, my husband?"

“I didn’t see that coming,” Antonio chuckled. He’d been in relationships before but the truth was he had always worked out pretty quickly that they weren’t right and ended things so none of them had even come close to getting to this point. With Ethan it was different, from the moment they admitted how they felt it just felt right and he knew that they were doing the right thing. They had missed out on so much time together after Ethan died during the war and not a day went by when Antonio wasn’t glad that Ethan was a phoenix. Losing him had hurt more than the dragon had ever thought possible and he had done his best to live his life the way that he and Ethan had talked about but it just wasn’t the same for him after the guy died. He had constantly felt like there was a hole in his heart that couldn’t be filled by anyone else no matter how hard he tried and that was something that he had grown to live with. He had always hoped that one day he would find a way to move on but that hadn’t happened and now he couldn’t deny that he was glad about that. The girls had been enough for him since they were left on his doorstep since it had been easier to focus on them and the curse on Samara’s family than it was to focus on the fact that he was alone but Ethan had opened his heart to a kind of love that he’d never felt before and he knew that he never wanted to live without that again. “Given our track records we’ve never had the chance to do that before so I think it’s only natural that we want to do that now,” Antonio said, a smile forming on his face as he looked over at Ethan. His next words were enough to make Antonio’s smile widen and he nodded. “All yours, just like you’re all mine,” he said as he leaned forward and kissed him, unable to ignore just how good it felt to be able to say those words out loud. Even a year ago he hadn’t thought that this would be possible but now he knew that it was and he wouldn’t have it any other way. “You’re already a dad but I know what you mean,” he admitted. “It is and you’ll get to experience it yourself one day,” he added gently. He knew how much it meant to Ethan so he knew that they would make it happen, there wasn’t a doubt in his mind about that. Antonio knew that Ethan’s upbringing wasn’t great and his own parents had lost a lot of kids before him but he, Ethan and their little family was different. They weren’t going to make the same mistakes and they had their whole lives ahead of them so there was so much that they could do. “You’re far too good to me,” Antonio said gently as Ethan said that he would be honoured to take his name. He really hadn’t known what would happen about that but it did mean a lot to him. Ethan’s next words were enough to make his smile return. “I hate to break it to you but you’re stuck with all of us now, especially me,” he grinned. “You couldn’t get away if you tried, we wouldn’t let you.” Something had fallen into place the day that Ethan had come back into his life and Antonio knew that he didn’t want to face a reality without his love again. Getting ready that morning seemed so surreal to Antonio but he was glad that it was quite a straightforward thing for both of them because it meant that they were able to see each other that much sooner. Antonio couldn’t stop a smile from forming on his face as Ethan agreed that they could settle it later but then said that he loved him more. “We’ll see about that,” he said, his smile genuine as he looked over at the man who should shortly be his husband. As Ethan spoke again, Antonio couldn’t help but laugh. “You know how bad we were at hiding how we feel, they probably realised you’re a softie long before we did,” he teased, remembering the bet that the people they worked with had had on the two of them. “You can be fierce when you want to be though,” he added with a grin, remembering just how hard Ethan was willing to fight for the people he loved. Ethan’s speech was enough to bring tears to Antonio’s eyes and he found himself falling for the guy that much more but he still couldn’t help but laugh as Ethan told him to shut up. It was clear that Ethan was only joking from the way he was laughing and a playful smile formed on Antonio’s face. “Luckily I love you, clumsiness and all,” he teased. It was something that he had learned about Ethan a long time ago but the truth was that he wouldn’t have it any other way. It didn’t matter to him that he sometimes had to patch Ethan up after he got hurt or that he had to be careful not to leave him alone in the kitchen for too long most of the time, Antonio loved the man before him completely and he knew that that was never going to change. It wasn’t long before it was announced that they were married and Antonio’s smile returned as Ethan tested the words as well. “I’ll never get tired of hearing you call me that,” he said sincerely, his heart still pounding from the intensity of the kiss they’d shared. It didn’t matter to him that there were others around, he hadn’t been able to resist showing Ethan just how much he loved him and Ethan had done exactly the same. “We are, it’s too late to back out now,” Antonio said, the smile still fixed on his face as he kissed Ethan once more before looking down at their joined hands as Ethan took his hand and squeezed it. “Don’t worry, I’ve got this part covered,” he assured him. “We can spend some time with everyone and take some photos, then we can have a bit of time for just the two of us before the meal.”ETHAN ALVAREZ

I didn’t see that coming, Given our track records we’ve never had the chance to do that before so I think it’s only natural that we want to do that now, All yours, just like you’re all mine, You’re already a dad but I know what you mean, It is and you’ll get to experience it yourself one day, You’re far too good to me. I hate to break it to you but you’re stuck with all of us now, especially me, You couldn’t get away if you tried, we wouldn’t let you.
Ethan chuckled at Toni's words before he nodded his head in agreement because he definitely didn't see that coming either. "Okay yeah, you definitely have a point that." He said with a half-smile resting on his lips because he was right, they've never had the chance to do that before. "All mine." Ethan said with a proud little grin on his lips. "And I'm all yours." Ethan was quick to say shortly after because all of him belonged to Antonio and there's no denying that or pretending that this wasn't the case. "Oh yeah, uh, I'm already a dad but I meant like..." He made a gesture of a bump on his stomach.
"I just have never had that type of thing before." When he joined the family, Eli and Ela were already grown-ups, same with Elias. "Also, did you know that babies are born with no kneecaps?" It was a very common misconception so he was definitely in the wrong about this one because they are born with kneecaps. "It's just... empty in there." He touched his kneecaps, trying to imagine being born without them before he shook his head. "Babies are weird, but they're really cute." Ethan said with a soft chuckle falling from his lips as his heart grew fond imagining how cute babies were. "I can't help it, I just wanna give you all the good things forever. You deserve to be happy, always." Ethan said with a gentle smile resting on his lips.
"Oh wow, really now?" Ethan asked with a chuckle falling from his lips when Toni told him that he was stuck with all of them, especially Toni. "Ah, whatever will I do to escape this?" He dramatically questioned with a sigh falling from his lips. "I'm kidding, I'd gorilla glue myself to all of you if I could." Ethan said with a chuckle falling from his lips. "Like that one girl who called 9-1-1 because she glued her hair with gorilla glue. But instead of my hair, it's just my limbs to all of you." Ethan teased with a grin resting on his lips. "Oh please, as if I would ever try to get away from you guys. I love you way too much to even think about it."
We’ll see about that, You know how bad we were at hiding how we feel, they probably realised you’re a softie long before we did, You can be fierce when you want to be though,
Ethan nodded his head a few times in agreement because Toni had a point there. "Oh my god, you're right. This reminds me of how everyone knew that we were in love with each other before we knew it ourselves." They just knew them all too well, especially their Captain who always seemed to know what they were thinking and what they were feeling, so it wasn't a surprise when he figured it all out before they did. "Oh, thank you. You definitely know how to stroke my ego." Ethan said with a beaming grin resting on his lips.
Luckily I love you, clumsiness and all, I’ll never get tired of hearing you call me that, We are, it’s too late to back out now, Don’t worry, I’ve got this part covered, We can spend some time with everyone and take some photos, then we can have a bit of time for just the two of us before the meal.
Ethan chuckled at Toni's words. "Oh please, you love my clumsiness." He said with a grin resting on his lips. "But probably not when it requires cleaning up after me." He probably dropped way too many things back at home and probably broke a few plates / mugs but, hey, accidents happen. "As if I would ever want to back out." Ethan said with a soft smile resting on his lips. "Thank you. My savior." He listened intently before he nodded his head a few times. "Yeah, of course." Ethan said with a grin resting on his lips. "This is probably the only time I'll ever feel like a high-class celebrity, right?" He meant with people taking pictures with him and all.
"Okay, let's do this." A lot of the guests came forward for pictures with the two of them to cherish as good memories in photo albums or post online, either way Ethan smiled a lot. He smiled until his cheeks ached and when they were finally done with all the pictures, he released a soft sigh of relief. "Okay yeah, the celebrity life is definitely not cut for me. I think my cheeks grew muscles from how much I was smiling." He massaged his cheeks a few times before he finally turned to his fiance --- no, not fiance anymore. He was his husband now. "Are you ready for that ride, baby?"

“I think you’re the only person who could make me like this,” Antonio grinned. So much had changed when Ethan had come into his life during the war and so much had changed again when he’d come back into it again a few months ago. That wasn’t something that Antonio regretted because he knew that he was a much better person for having Ethan in his life and considering he knew what it was like to live without him he knew which way he would prefer to live. Outside of his family Ethan was the only person he had ever loved and he was the only person that he wanted to feel that way about as well. “That’s just as it should be,” he said even as his heart skipped a beat as Ethan said that he was all his. This definitely wasn’t how Antonio had thought his life would end up but he was beyond happy now so he knew that he wouldn’t have it any other way. “I knew what you meant, don’t worry,” he chuckled as Ethan used his own way of explaining what he’d meant. Antonio had only been teasing him the way they always teased each other about things anyway. As Ethan said that babies were born without kneecaps, Antonio shook his head. “Actually a lot of people think that but it’s not quite true. They still have cartilage there that later becomes bones but trust me, I got caught by quite a few knees in the beginning when the girls were younger,” he admitted. They’d had a habit of squirming quite a lot at times which had made things interesting to say the least. “They are cute,” he agreed, unable to stop a smile from forming on his face again at the thought of a mini Ethan running around. That was something that he knew it definitely wanted to see and, if he was honest, Antonio knew that he liked the idea of having more kids that shared his DNA one day too. Ethan’s next words were enough to have Antonio’s expression softening and he gave Ethan’s hand a gentle squeeze. “So do you. How about we make a deal to give each other all the good things?” he suggested, knowing that he wanted to make sure that Ethan was happy just as much. “Luckily you don’t need to go that far, we’re never letting you go,” Antonio chuckled, knowing that it was true for the kids just as much as it was for him. Ela had said as much after he and Ethan had told the girls that they were together and that really had been the start of things changing for the better for all of them. “I’m going to hold you to that,” he added with a grin as Ethan said that he would never even think about trying to get away from them. He was only messing around about it all but it was true that he never wanted to go through the pain of losing Ethan again. He had already experienced that once and Ethan had come close to losing him as well so Antonio knew that he never wanted them to find themselves in that position again. As Ethan said that he was reminded of when everyone knew that they were in love before they knew it themselves, Antonio couldn’t help but laugh. “I told you before, we’re hopeless,” he chuckled, knowing that he really wasn’t any better than Ethan. When it came to each other and their family they would both fight with everything they had in order to keep them safe but when they were around others they knew and trusted who they were always shone through. Ethan’s next words were enough to make a smile form on Antonio’s face. “I should hope so too, I’ve had enough practice by now,” he grinned, his tone light and teasing as he spoke. “You might be right about that,” he admitted as Ethan said that he loved his clumsiness but probably not cleaning up after him. The truth was he didn’t really mind too much, more than anything he was usually worried that Ethan would end up hurting himself. He was a phoenix so he would always heal if something did happen but Antonio still didn’t like the thought of something bad happening to him. “I wouldn’t either,” he said, his smile returning as Ethan said that he would never want to back out. “I don’t know about that, you’ll probably still have girls chasing after you when we go out,” he chuckled as Ethan said that this was probably the only time he’d feel like a celebrity. Antonio had felt so jealous that night at the Grill but it had taken him a while to realise that that’s what it was and what it meant. Now he knew that no matter what happened he and Ethan only had eyes for each other, though, and he knew that that was as it should be. Nodding as Ethan spoke again, Antonio did his best to keep smiling through all of the photos that were taken and he knew that it wouldn’t be long before some of the ones of the two of them together and ones of them with the kids, his family and the others in attendance would end up decorating their home but he couldn’t deny that it was a relief when it was all over. “I know what you mean, my cheeks ache from smiling so much,” he admitted, glad that it was only for one day. “Definitely, let’s go,” he said, saying a quick goodbye to the kids and everyone else before taking Ethan’s hand in his and leading the way to the car that was waiting for them.
