 ━ sun's up, i don't wanna fight the daylight ━ set after scott's bite turned jasper into a werewolf. summer 2020. IT WAS ONLY A FEW weeks into the summer break, but Jasper Romero felt lighter than ever. Since his attack from those who sought out the riches of the hit list, Scott McCall, Hayden's friend and Alpha turned him willingly, saving him from whatever brink of death Jasper was faced with. He was more than indebted to him, and saw the male as someone he owed every aspect of his life to. From that moment on, life continued fairly simply. Jasper bonded with his siblings quickly and even managed to get a job at the local Grill: Mystic Grill.
On his day off however, he planned a day to spend with his sister Hayden...Mainly to understand what it meant to be a werewolf now, but also to figure out what he would have to do on full-moons. Being a chimera was fairly simple but now he was a full werewolf...Jasper expected the worst. Idling by his computer as he waited for her, two fingers moved up the scrolling pad once more, bored with the site's content and instead groaned as he rested back in his seat. Hayden was...only slightly late and the elder Romero guessed as to why straight away. At the sound of their door, brown eyes looked up in the direction of the hallway, hoping to see his sister's appearance anytime soon.
"You're late!" He called out, lips growing and cheeks rising into a smile. "I'll forgive you if you buy pizza tonight!" He added.

 Even now it still felt surreal to Hayden to return home and find Jasper there. He had been gone for such a long time and even though deep down she had never wanted to admit that her twin was gone she had seen him lying in the morgue with her own eyes, or at least she thought she had. As it turned out it was just a trick by the Dread Doctors and they had been using the threat of going after her to keep Jasper in line all this time. It had taken Hayden a while to get her head around all of that but her family was finally back together again, or at least she had both of her siblings back in her life now since her parents and grandparents were still gone, and she knew that she didn’t want to lose her brother again. Now Jasper was working with her at the Grill which meant that they got to spend more time together since they sometimes ended up working the same shifts and Hayden couldn’t deny that she was glad she had the chance to keep an eye on him. Her own name had ended up on the hit list first but the fact that Jasper had ended up on there too worried her. She had already gone through shifting into a wolf with each full moon even when she was a chimera and she knew that it would have been the same for Jasper but they were both full werewolves now and Hayden finally felt comfortable in her own skin once more. That day she had ended up spending some time with Liam before heading home so that she could spend the rest of the day with her brother. She and Jasper had spent time together since he had told her what had happened but they hadn’t had a whole day to themselves until now and she knew that she wanted to make the most of it. Stepping into the house, Hayden knew that she was late even before Jasper called her out for it and she grimaced. “Sorry, Liam and I lost track of time,” she admitted as she made her way through to where Jasper was waiting for her. “Fine but I’m choosing the toppings,” she warned, a smile forming on her face as she looked over at her brother. There was a time when all of the money she had earned had had to go on her anti-rejection medication and helping Val pay the bills but now that she was a proper werewolf she no longer had to worry about taking the medication and it was a relief to have some extra money in her pocket to say the least. “What do you want to do today?”JASPER ROMERO

With Hayden finally coming home, as she called out to the older Romero, he felt his lips tug a little higher at her response. "When am I meeting this...Liam?" He questioned as he called out, hoping he spoke loud enough for his sister to hear him. Jasper noted how often the two spent their time together, and while he found it adorable it made the elder twin realise how lonely he was. He didn't have many friends aside from his siblings and the minor amount of people he had spoken to within high school and eventually hoped with college coming around, things like that would change.
"No funky toppings!" He added to her declaration. He didn't mind mushrooms, or even pineapple on pizza, but Hayden always had a knack for finding something incredibly weird as incredibly tasty. Sometimes Jasper wondered if they really were siblings or not. Laughing quietly to himself as he closed his laptop lid, he waved slightly at his sister as he saw her more. "Weren't we going to practice some wolf-y things?..." It had only been a few weeks since Scott had turned him but Jasper was still uncertain about various things a full, proper werewolf would face.

Even now there were still times when Hayden returned home expecting to find that Jasper wasn’t really back with them after all. It still felt far too good to be true but Hayden wasn’t really sure what would happen if her brother was taken from her again. Her heart had shattered into a million pieces that day and she hadn’t wanted to believe that Jasper was gone, her twin intuition had even been telling her that he was still alive, but she had seen his body for herself and she had honestly believed that he was gone just like their parents. Their grandparents had died not long after as well leaving her with Val as the only family she’d had left. Now even though everyone else was still gone she felt so much better knowing that Jasper was back in her life and Hayden knew that she would fight to keep it that way. She and Jasper were twins so naturally they were close and Hayden knew that Jasper had even stayed with the Dread Doctors as they had made a promise not to go after her for as long as he stayed in line but they still had their own lives to lead and for Hayden a big part of hers was spending time with Liam. She had hated him for a long time after the accident as she had blamed him but in the end she had realised that it wasn’t his fault. He had been there for her ever since the Dread Doctors experimented on her and she had fallen in love with him. The only reason she was even still alive was thanks to Liam and that day they had ended up spending some time together before she returned home to catch up with her brother. “You’ll get to see him soon enough but he was at school with us back in Beacon Hills, don’t you remember?” she asked, not sure whether he remembered much about his time there or not. “Got it,” she laughed as he said that he didn’t want any funky toppings on the pizza. Hayden’s tastes for it were always quite simple anyway so she knew that she wouldn’t have a problem with that. Leaning against the doorframe, Hayden nodded as Jasper asked if they were going to practice some wolfy things. “We are. What do you want to start with?” she asked, not sure what he had in mind.
