“That doesn’t surprise me,” Talia admitted as Raven said that she had never been a follower. She really wouldn’t have expected any less, she still didn’t know that much about Raven but the demon didn’t strike her as the kind of person who liked to follow orders. She seemed to prefer doing things her own way and that was something that Talia could definitely understand. After everything she had been through she had grown used to doing what she had to do and what she thought was right. She would be the first to admit that she had made some bad decisions along the way and she had ended up getting involved with the wrong crowd after she reunited with her old friend. She had done things that she wasn’t proud of but she was doing her best to turn her life around now. She had ended up getting herself a job that she loved and even though it had taken her a while to get used to following orders from the paramedic in charge, now it was her turn to fill that role and she much preferred it that way. “And what does that mean for you right now?” she asked, not sure what had brought Raven to Mystic Falls in the first place. Even after everything that she had learned about Raven she was still glad that the demon was in town, though. Talia knew that she should probably be scared after finding out what Raven was but the truth was that she wasn’t at all. She still saw the only person that had always been on her side and she was glad that she had the chance to get to know that person now. She still didn’t know why Raven had decided to save her but she was determined to find out sooner or later. Talia knew that there had never been anything interesting about her, she was just a girl who had lost her parents when she was young and had been doing her best to find her way in the world ever since then. She had never thought that she deserved help from anyone and yet Raven had always been there for her when she had needed someone the most. It was Asariel that helped her the last time but Raven had showed up once more and that alone was enough to make her head spin but definitely in a good way. “What did you say?” she asked, knowing that Raven had said something even if she hadn’t been able to make out what it was. “Please don’t,” Talia said as Raven started pondering over how she was going to kill her host. She knew that chances were that her words weren’t going to have any effect whatsoever but she could still hope that the demon might change her mind. Talia knew that she was lucky with Asariel, the angel had saved her life and they had been finding a balance that they could both live with ever since. She wasn’t sure if it was different for demons but Raven didn’t have to kill the woman she was possessing so Talia honestly hoped that she would let her live. Talia knew what it was like to almost lose her life on a few occasions and she wouldn’t wish that on anyone. Talia rolled her eyes at Raven’s words to the waitress. She was starting to see that the demon liked to antagonise people any chance she got and something told her that wasn’t going to change. As Raven spoke again once they were alone, Talia’s eyebrows rose. “Asariel warned me about this place but I haven’t seen much of the supernatural world while I’ve been here. We’ve been keeping our heads down,” she admitted. It was safer that way for both of them. “Do you really think it isi going to get that bad here?”RAVEN

| R aven snickered at that, finding herself amused by the fact that Talia had already gotten a feel of what she was like. It was something that never changed, even now. She still didn't like following the rules, didn't do what others expected from her. She made her own rules and did whatever the hell she liked. She shrugged at her next question, her eyes drifting away from her momentarily. "It means that I'm not going to fall to my knees when Lucifer rises or run to Crowley. It means I'm on my own," there was no 'if' when it comes to Lucifer rising. She knew it was going to happen sooner rather than later. Raven felt a small smirk tug at the corner of her lips when Talia asked about what she had just said. She shrugged her shoulders. "Should I tell you, or not?" She tapped at her chin with her index finger as if considering it. Raven was probably having a little too much fun with teasing Talia. Raven reached her hand up to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear, her eyes focused forward as she caught her bottom lip between her teeth, her smirk still present on her lips. "I said, you and your fucking curiosity, Talia. It's going to get you killed," Raven said with a shrug of her shoulders, finding no need to sugarcoat her words. Raven tilted her head slightly to the side when Talia begged her not to kill her host. She frowned at that. "But you don't even know her?" Raven asked with a scoff following. It was obvious that Talia cared. Perhaps a little too much. "You're weird," she said with a frown tugging at her features, still unsure how to process the fact that someone could care about someone they didn't know anything about. "It's only a matter of time, really. There are creatures covering every corner of this rotten town." She commented with a scoff falling from her lips. She leaned back on her seat, her eyes finding the waitress as she came over with their milkshake. She reached her hand out to wrap her fingers around her glass, bringing it closer to her lips as she caught the straw between her lips, taking a few sips to enjoy the sugary sweetness of it. "Of course I do," Raven said with no hesitation, her eyes settling on Talia again. "Imagine this," the demon leaned forward so her elbows were resting on the table as she scooted forward a little bit. "Every fuckin' species under the sun all in the same town. Angels, demons, vamps, and so on. D'you really think we're just going to live peacefully with each other? Someone's gonna fuck up sooner or later. Or maybe, before you know it, our lord and savior Lucifer will be out of his cage and that's when the apocalypse will really start and we'll have the front row seats to it." Raven chuckled even though there was nothing funny about impending doom. But to Raven, it was funny because she really was going to die twice. She took another sip from her drink, enjoying how sweet it was. "What do you think? D'you think there won't be any apocalypses?" |

Talia’s life had fallen apart the day her parents died. After that she was thrown into the system and forgotten about until she was old enough to get by on her own. She knew that she hadn’t made good choices along the way but she was doing her best to change that now. She had fallen in with a bad crowd and it had almost ended up getting her killed and that was a mistake that she knew she didn’t want to make again. Raven had been the first to give her another chance on multiple occasions and Asariel had done exactly the same when the angel had reached out and offered to heal her in exchange for becoming her host. It was a deal that Talia had been a little unsure about at first but now it was one that she was glad she had made. It had given her the chance to start over and in a way she felt like she had gained a friend and it had also given her the chance to finally meet Raven as well. She was about to ask who Crowley was when Asariel answered for her. Talia was still learning about the supernatural world but Asariel had mentioned Lucifer before and Crowley didn’t seem much better either. “It doesn’t sound like either of those options would be good ones,” she admitted. Bow to the devil or run to the former King of Hell. If it came down to it then Talia knew that she wouldn’t want to go for either of those either. “Asariel has mentioned Lucifer before, she said that he was freed from the cage over a year ago but has been keeping his head down. Do you think he is just biding his time?” she asked, curious as to what Raven’s thoughts were on it. She had made a deal with Asariel that the angel would take control when she needed to and Talia knew that she was going to respect that deal but she wasn’t sure that she liked the idea of becoming a soldier in a war if it came down to it. It was clear to Talia that Raven liked trying to mess with her head but she had dealt with people like that before and she knew how to hold her own. As Raven finally revealed what she had said, Talia felt a wry smile form on her face. “Lots of things could have got me killed by now in case you’ve forgotten,” she mused. Raven had been there looking out for her in the past and she had Asariel now as well so she knew that things were much better for her than they had ever been before. Raven’s next words were enough to make Talia study the demon carefully for a moment. “It doesn’t matter that I don’t know her, looking out for strangers is my job,” she shrugged. “Besides, you didn’t know me when you helped me,” she added. She still wasn’t sure why Raven had helped her and she didn’t think that she was going to get an answer either, not yet at least, but the point was that Raven had helped her time and time again so she refused to believe that the demon was all bad no matter what she said. As Raven said that there were creatures covering every corner of the town, Talia’s gaze inadvertently swept around them. “Do you know what has brought them here?” she asked. Asariel wasn’t sure but she didn’t know if it was the same for Raven. Asariel’s voice sounded in her mind as Raven talked about the apocalypse and she shook her head. “I think there might be one but apparently there have been ones before and each time they’ve been stopped.”RAVEN

| R aven shrugged her shoulders at Talia's statement. "No, it doesn't. But following either comes with their benefits too, y'know. But those benefits aren't strong enough to overshadow the whole buttload of problems I'll face," Raven said with a bitter scoff falling from her lips. That was the problem with following someone, right? The problems that came with it. That person's problems will be her own problems too and she wasn't looking forward to dealing with that bullshit, really. "I prefer to be the one causing the problems." She added a moment later with a grin resting on her lips. Asariel has mentioned Lucifer before, she said that he was freed from the cage over a year ago but has been keeping his head down. Do you think he is just biding his time?
Raven released a small hum at Talia's question, considering it for a few moments before she eventually nodded her head. "Yeah, I think so. Or, he just wants to make a grand fuckin' entrance. Either works, really. I've always wondered what he looked like, if I'm being honest." Raven expressed her curiosity with that statement, her hands lazily buried inside of her pockets. "Is he charming? Ugly? Does he have an accent? If so, I'd like it to be an English one. Those are hot, don't you think?" Raven teased with a little smirk resting on her lips. Lots of things could have got me killed by now in case you’ve forgotten, It doesn’t matter that I don’t know her, looking out for strangers is my job, Besides, you didn’t know me when you helped me.
Raven snickered at her words, finding them oddly funny because they were true. Talia could have died so many times and if it weren't for Raven, she really would've died. But for some reason, Raven kept saving her. It confused her at times, the way she cared about Talia's safety to the point where she had rescued her multiple times. Maybe she hadn't been tortured long enough in Hell to make sure those emotions never resurface. "You're so weird," Raven murmured, her eyes focusing on Talia for a moment, bottom lip caught between pearl whites. "So weird." She mumbled the last part before she shook her head. "But I suppose you're right." Do you know what has brought them here? I think there might be one but apparently there have been ones before and each time they’ve been stopped.
Raven shook her head. "No clue, really." She took a sip from her drink, a delighted expression soon appearing on her face. "Oh yeah! I think the demon torturing me in hell kept talkin' about that. She sounded reeeeally pissed 'bout it. The Winchesters, right?" Raven released a small hum as she thought it over for a few moments. "I can't wait to watch. It's going to be so exciting." She leaned back, looking rather pleased despite talking about the apocalypse but then again, she was a demon. |

For such a long time Talia had started to think that perhaps she was crazy for thinking that the same person had saved her over and over again. It was the only thing that had made sense but no one else had seemed to believe her and the more it happened the more she had started to wonder if perhaps she had just been seeing things after all. She hadn’t known back then that it was possible for someone who be possessed by a demon and Asariel was already filling some of the blanks in for her. For as long as she was the angel’s vessel she wouldn’t age and it was the same for the person that Raven was possessing now. That was why she still looked the same although Talia was already starting to get the impression that their two experiences were going to be incredibly different. She and Asariel had come to an agreement and they worked together but Raven’s vessel didn’t seem to have a choice in the matter and she couldn’t deny that her heart went out to the woman even if she was glad that Raven had stayed with her since it meant that she had the chance to get some answers at last. “It sounds like it’s better for you to stay out of it then,” Talia admitted before rolling her eyes as Raven said that she preferred to be the one causing the problems. “Why doesn’t that surprise me?” Asariel had filled her in on the mistake that she had made by choosing to follow Metatron and the problems it had caused for her afterwards but it still hadn’t been enough to change Talia’s mind about playing host to the angel. Raven’s choice options seemed a lot more dangerous, though, so she couldn’t deny that she was glad that the demon seemed to prefer staying on the sidelines rather than siding with either one of them. She still wasn’t entirely sure what to make of Raven but Talia couldn’t deny that she still felt indebted to the demon and she didn’t want anything to happen to her. “No, I don’t,” Talia said with an amused smile as she shook her head. “Would you get to see his true face or would you only get to see his vessel?” she asked, not entirely sure how it worked. Asariel had told her that angels could recognise each other no matter what vessel they were possessing a lot of the time but she wasn’t sure how it worked for demons. As Raven called her weird, Talia couldn’t help but laugh. “Says the one who was talking about eating babies not too long ago,” she countered playfully as she took a sip of her drink. Asariel wanted her to keep her guard up around Raven and to an extent she was but a part of her was starting to feel comfortable around the demon and at the very least Talia knew that Raven wasn’t going to hurt her, not after going to the trouble of saving her so many times. She had hoped that Raven might know a little more about what was going on but that didn’t seem to be the case. She did seem amused by talk of the apocalypse, though, and Talia nodded as she mentioned the Winchesters. “That’s what Asariel told me, yeah,” she confirmed. “I wouldn’t go looking forward to it too much, if they’ve stopped it before I’m sure they can do it again.”RAVEN

Raven grinned at Talia. "What can I say? Trouble excites me." The demon said with a chuckle following that almost made her sound like an excited kid on Christmas before opening their presents. She let out a gasp when Talia told her that she didn't think that way. "Cold. So icy." Raven shook her head with a disappointed sigh falling from her lips as she moved her hand up to run her fingers through her hair, brushing it away from her face. "I dunno, if I'm bein' honest. I guess I'll know when I see him, no?' Raven shrugged her shoulders. She really wanted to see him, but mainly because she wanted to see if he was as horrifying as the other demons paint him out to be. She hoped the answer to that would be a 'yes'.
Raven chuckled at Talia's words when she brought back the fact that she'd talked about eating babies not that long ago. "Oh c'mon. You can't tell me you've never thought about their taste... Wait yeah, you probably have never thought about it that way. Oh well. More babies for me, then." She teased with a small smirk tugging at the corner of her lips.
"Ugh, they're so annoying." Raven rolled her eyes with a sigh falling from her lips. She reached her hand up to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear. "Always ruining the fun." Raven grumbled and when their orders finally came through, she was eager to try out the milkshake first, humming in delight at the taste of it. "This is so good." Raven groaned as she took another sip, letting the smooth liquid rush down her throat. She reached for one of the fries to dip it into her milkshake, eating it shortly after. "Mmm, this is also really good." She reached for the burger to start eating. "Ariel, are you sure you don't wanna have any holy water as an appetizer?" Raven questioned in a teasing voice before she took another sip from her drink. "Kidding." She added a moment later. "You probably eat priests, don'tcha? Bet they taste real holy." Raven continued to tease, probably because she thought it was really fun to do that.

Talia had always known that it was crazy to think that someone could save her on multiple occasions years apart and never look any different but that was exactly what she had seen. She had asked about the person that had saved her at first but no one had seemed to know anything about the person and in the end Talia had stopped asking. She had always known that she’d had someone looking out for her and she had come to think of that person as her guardian angel but as it turned out she’d actually had a demon looking out for her instead. That was going to take some getting used to and she still wasn’t sure why Raven had decided to save her each time but she got the feeling that perhaps Raven didn’t know the answer to that question either. She seemed to like to pretend that she had all the answers and that nothing bothered her but Talia got the impression that helping people wasn’t something that the demon did very often at all so it made her even more curious as to why Raven had decided to save her and she could only hope that she would figure it out sooner or later. For now she knew that she would settle for just being able to get to know her saviour a little better and she rolled her eyes playfully as Raven said that trouble excited her. “Why does that not surprise me?” she teased. Raven really didn’t seem like the kind of person who liked to do things by the book so it was to be expected really. “Sorry for not thinking that any of those things could make the devil attractive,” Talia said, shaking her head in amusement. She still wasn’t sure what to make of Raven just yet but the more time they spent together the more she was starting to learn about the demon and despite how strange it was she was actually enjoying spending time with her. “I guess so,” she agreed as Raven said that she would find out when she saw him. “I hope he doesn’t show up here, it might work out well for you but it won’t for anyone else.” There were a lot of supernaturals in Mystic Falls already from what Asariel had told her and having Lucifer join them was something that she was pretty sure wouldn’t be good for any of them. “You can definitely keep them,” she said, disgusted at just the thought of eating babies. Talia really hoped that Raven was just messing around but then again she was a demon so anything was possible. “Would it really be fun for you if everyone was wiped out and you didn’t have anyone to torment though?” Talia asked, pretty sure that Raven would end up feeling pretty bored if that ever did happen. All she knew about it was what Asariel had told her but she knew that the angels wanted to make sure that an apocalypse didn’t happen and Talia definitely agreed with them on that. As their orders arrived, Talia thanked the waitress before taking a sip of her drink. Raven’s next words were enough to draw an amused smile to Talia’s face as Asariel started to grumble in her mind. “You really know how to get under her skin, don’t you?” she asked as she took a bite of her meal. Raven chuckled at Talia's question before her shoulders lifted and dropped into a quick shrug. "Dunno, probably cause you're starting to understand me real well now." Raven said with a proud little grin resting on her lips, definitely looking happy to know that Talia was starting to understand her well now. It didn't ruin any sort of excitement and it definitely didn't make her feel exposed, if anything, she was quite happy. "You're so strange." Raven shook her head, refusing to realize that she's definitely the one who is strange for liking the idea of the devil so much. "Plus, just imagine all the power he must have. It makes me shiver with excitement just thinking about it because when you think 'bout it, demons aren't all that cool. But being the actual devil? ugh. Exhilarating to think about. I wish I were the devil, I'd be doing so much shit right now." Raven closed her eyes and sighed blissfully as she thought about all the chaos and pain she could inflict upon people. Ugh. So good.
"Aw, come ooooon! It would be cool! Front row seat to the apocalypse, who wouldn't want that?" Raven's lips stretched to form a grin. "But have you seen this shitty town? It's the perfect place to rule." She pointed out, but that was just her opinion. Maybe the devil will actually leave town and see somewhere else to rule, who knows?
Raven took a moment to think about Talia's question as she leaned back on her seat, her arms crossed in front of her chest. "Hm." Her tongue rushed over the surface of her bottom lip before she caught her bottom lip between her teeth, gnawing on it for a little bit of time. "Maybe not." She trailed off with a small sigh falling from her lips. "I wouldn't have you to annoy." She added a moment later as she reached over for her drink again.
Raven giggled at Talia's question before she nodded her head once, looking quite proud of it. "You can call it my special skill." Raven said with a small smirk tugging at the corner of her lips. "Plus, it's not my fault that she's so fun to annoy." Her expression turned into an innocent one as she picked her burger to take yet another bite, letting out a hum of delight. "Anyway, let's do something fun after this. Dunno what yet, but I wanna do somethin' fun. Probably shouldn't involve torture, right? You wouldn't like that, would you?" Raven released a small sigh of disappointment because she already knew the answer to that question. "It's fine, we'll figure it out once we're done with this, yeah?"

“You say that like it’s actually a good thing,” Talia said, a smile forming on her face as she looked over at Raven. Raven had seemed to want to push her away at first but in the end her curiosity had seemed to get the better of her and it had definitely been that way for Talia. Asariel had urged her to be cautious around the demon and get as far away from her as she could but Talia still couldn’t ignore the fact that Raven had saved her life on more than a few occasions. She wouldn’t even be here today if not for Raven and while it had come as a shock to learn that she was a demon, in fact that was something that Talia was still processing now, the truth was that she still wanted to get to know Raven and she couldn’t deny that she wanted to explore the connection that seemed to be there between the two of them as well. “We’ll have to agree to disagree on that because I think you’re the strange one,” Talia countered. Raven definitely wasn’t what she had expected but deep down she was pretty sure that was a good thing even though she wasn’t sure that she was ready to admit that just yet. “You can do a lot already and besides, you’d get bored if he brought about the apocalypse and took away all the people you could torment. What fun would you be able to have then with only other demon for company?” That at least was something that she was certain about and she shook her head at Raven’s next words. “Mystic Falls isn’t so bad, I’ve been to places that are much worse,” she shrugged. “How could I forget? I’m your own endless source of amusement,” Talia teased as she took a sip of her drink. She knew that there had to be a reason why Raven had kept on coming back into her life time and time again but whether it was that or something else she really wasn’t sure. Either way a part of her was glad that she had Raven back in her life once more even if she wasn’t entirely sure just how long it would be for this time. The demon had a habit of showing up, saving her life and then taking off again just as quickly as she had arrived. Talia knew that she wanted it to be different this time but whether or not it actually would be remained to be seen. She could still hope, though, and as Raven spoke again, Talia rolled her eyes playfully. “Of course it is. Is it just Asariel you like to wind up or do other angels get the same treatment as well?” she asked, unable to deny that she was curious. “You’re right, I wouldn’t enjoy that,” she agreed as she took another sip of her drink. “Sure, we can figure something out. Other than torturing people and tormenting Asariel, what do you like to do for fun?”RAVEN

You say that like it’s actually a good thing.
Raven stared at Talia with her head slightly tilted to the side before she released a soft hum. Maybe it wasn't a good thing, after all. Especially since Raven had been trying for so long to keep her distance from Talia but now, they were close to one another again and it goes to show that Raven was already wrapped around Talia's fingers. Possibly from the moment that Raven saved her life. Crazy how Raven thought she had control over the matter this whole time, but nope. She never did.
We’ll have to agree to disagree on that because I think you’re the strange one, You can do a lot already and besides, you’d get bored if he brought about the apocalypse and took away all the people you could torment. What fun would you be able to have then with only other demon for company?
Raven released a dramatic gasp at that as her hand moved to rest on her chest, on where her heart was supposed to be. "Rude!" Raven tsked and shook her head, pretending to be offended before her lips stretched into a small grin which showcased she was enjoying it a little too much. Raven's eyes seemed to gleam at that because she didn't think about that, actually. "Oh, screw that." Raven wrinkled her nose in distaste at the thought of only being surrounded by other demons like herself.
Mystic Falls isn’t so bad, I’ve been to places that are much worse,
Raven's attention drifted to Talia, watching her quietly for a few moments before she released a small hum. "You're only saying that because you haven't explored the world yet." Raven pointed out as she stuffed her hands inside of her pockets. "I gotta show you the world one day. You'll realize why Mystic Falls isn't all that afterward." Raven pointed out with a small smirk tugging at the corner of her lips at the thought of traveling with Talia. Oddly enough, she liked it a lot.
How could I forget? I’m your own endless source of amusement, Of course it is. Is it just Asariel you like to wind up or do other angels get the same treatment as well?
Raven's lips stretched to form a grin at Talia's words before she nodded her head in agreement. "That, you are." Raven knew that Talia was an endless source of other emotions but Raven wasn't going to uncover that yet. "Just Ariel." Raven revealed with a grin. "She's just that special, you know." Raven chuckled as she leaned back in her seat.
You’re right, I wouldn’t enjoy that, Sure, we can figure something out. Other than torturing people and tormenting Asariel, what do you like to do for fun?
Raven pouted a little bit when Talia revealed that she wouldn't enjoy torturing people with her. "A shame." She breathed out with a shake of her head following. Talia's next question made Raven tilt her head slightly to the side as she thought about it for a few moments, her brows furrowing when she couldn't find an immediate answer. "I don't know.' She revealed with a small frown. She actually has no idea what else she considers as 'fun' if it's not torture or annoying the hell out of Ariel. "What do you like to do for fun?"

Talia knew that Raven had been trying to keep her distance all these years and there was a part of Talia that wondered if perhaps that was a good idea but the truth was that Talia had always wanted to meet her. Asariel didn’t approve of Talia spending any time with a demon and that didn’t look like it was going to change anytime soon but Talia didn’t really care. For a while she had started doubting her own instincts after everything that had happened but she knew that that was silly. She had put her faith in the wrong people in the past but she had changed a lot since then and she knew that she had to start trusting herself again. Raven was a demon, that much was true, but she had also saved Talia’s life on a few different occasions. Whatever their differences might be there was a connection between them and it was one that Talia wasn’t so sure that she wanted to try and ignore. She had felt it the first time they met and she had felt it every time Raven found her again since then. Talia didn’t understand it but she wanted to and she hoped that in time she might figure it out. As Raven said that she was rude for saying that she was the strange one, Talia couldn’t help but laugh. “If you say so,” she grinned. She didn’t know Raven very well but she could tell that she wasn’t really offended and that was definitely a good thing as far as Talia was concerned. She might not know much about Raven but she knew that she cared about her and that was something that Raven hadn’t felt towards anyone new for a while. “I thought you might say that. Wouldn’t be so much fun, would it?” she asked. Raven liked to torment people but she couldn’t do that if she only had other demons for company so it wouldn’t be such a good thing after all. “I’d love to see the world with you one day but I’ve seen other parts of the States and they’re not that great. You should know that, you found me a few times in my worst moments,” Talia shrugged. She knew that it was true, Raven might be a demon but to Talia she had been her guardian angel and had always been there when she had needed someone the most. Asariel had done the same, she had saved Talia the last time she had needed help and Talia knew that she really was indebted to them both. “Mystic Falls is the best place I’ve been to so far.”As Raven agreed that Talia was her endless source of amusement, Talia rolled her eyes playfully. She knew that she should probably be offended but she really wasn’t. Raven was here and if that meant having to put up with being teased by her then Talia knew that she could put up with that. “Trust me, she doesn’t feel special. She’s grumbling away in my mind,” she grinned. Torturing people was Raven’s thing but it definitely wasn’t Talia’s so she knew that the two of them doing that together wouldn’t be a good idea. She was curious about what else Raven enjoyed though and she couldn’t deny that she was surprised when Raven said that she didn’t know what else she enjoyed. “Really?” she asked. It made sense in a way, Raven was a demon so Talia didn’t expect her to have hobbies or anything like that but she had thought that something might come to mind. “I like to go out with my friends mostly,” she admitted with a shrug. “How about we grab a drink?”RAVEN
