 CLAIREMARIEDEVEREUXClaire was born to two working class parents in Dublin in the mid 1800's. When she was three her younger sister Violet was born and Claire swore that she would always protect her. Years later the two moved to London to pursue their dreams and it was there that they met the Salvatore brothers. Things were eventful to say the least and after Violet died as a vampire Claire was left completely on her own. She parted ways with the Salvatores and become a vampire herself a few years later. Now she has made her way to Mystic Falls to try and settle down and build a home for herself. Claire's full history can be seen in her application. Friends;; Claire has always been a pretty easy person to get along with once you get to know her but everything she has been through has made her a little guarded. That said she isn't afraid to step in and lend a helping hand if she sees someone in trouble and once she has befriended someone she will go to the ends of the earth to help them and keep them safe. Enemies;; So far there have been few who would fall into this category, namely Henry, Samuel and Lord Ainsley although all three are now dead. Claire is the kind of person who isn't afraid to stand up for what she believes in and she will do whatever she has to in order to protect the people she loves so she may find some enemies in Mystic Falls, in particular anyone wanting to hurt the Salvatores. Lovers;; After moving to America Claire soon fell in love and started a family of her own. She stayed with her husband and children for a few years following her transition into a vampire until those around her started to question the fact that she wasn't ageing. She was forced to fake her death in an attempt to make it easier for them to move on and she has been on her own ever since but she knows to be open to love when it comes along. I really like your idea actually, it would be interesting if these two met before and then bump into each other again now. Claire only feeds on animals since she doesn't want to risk becoming a Ripper the way her sister did after she became a vampire but I think she could still give Axel a run for his money considering the age difference. Do you want to go with a random meeting around town somewhere or would you rather perhaps Axel is involved or a suspect in a case Claire ends up working?

Ooh, I like that idea! Claire is always very careful when she feeds but perhaps Lisa could sneak up on her and catch her? She is never quick to compel people if she can help it so I think she would answer any questions Lisa might have rather than try and make her forget what she saw.

I think Claire would definitely be interested in meeting him. Claire didn't want to become a vampire and has only ever killed twice in her life (the first being her sister when she tried to kill Stefan Salvatore and the second being the vampire who turned her since he was going to go after her family next) and she sticks to the animal blood diet and works as a police officer so she definitely isn't interested in causing trouble. I like the idea of them being friends. Claire has kept mostly to herself since becoming a vampire and has travelled around quite a bit so perhaps they could have met then only to reunite in Mystic Falls? She doesn't tend to trust people too easily so if he earned that in the past then he would have a friend for life.

Yes, it would be so good for these two to meet! I know we need to figure out what happens next in the family thread but for these two if we go with having them already knowing each other I think Claire would be shocked to learn that Lucy is Stefan's daughter. I'm up for anything really but I could definitely see these two being friends. Any idea how they should meet?

That works for me! Claire always kept to herself after becoming a vampire and that only really changed when she befriended Ares while they attended the police academy together and when she ran into Damon again in Mystic Falls. Maybe they had to help each other out for some reason so they already know what the other is so they at least trust each other now but they didn't really become that close in the past? I'm definitely up for throwing them together.

I think these two might get on quite well, Claire could definitely use some more threads. She is a police officer so she could be called to a disturbance at the Grill while Aurelie is working or perhaps they could meet while Claire is out hunting in the woods? She feeds on animals like Stefan and she is always careful not to let anyone see her while she is feeding so they could always run into each other before or after she has fed, or she could be out in the woods investigating a lead on a case. I'm up for anything really.

I'm really bad at this, I'm so sorry! Since we already have the thread going between Violet and Henrik I think that it might be a good idea to have them reunite after Violet has been brought back if that is ok? It will be a shock for Claire but she would probably think she had gone crazy if she saw Violet and couldn't hug her. Perhaps Henrik could call Claire and find out that she is at her apartment and he could take Violet there to see her but keep it a surprise? That way the thread between Violet and Claire could start with Violet outside the apartment since Henrik would have wanted to give them some privacy once Violet knew where she was going.
