Spending twenty years in jail somehow seemed more appealing than spending another second in the train station. Perhaps it would have been better if he hadn't snapped out of the brainwashing because the others surrounding him seemed content. As far as they were concerned it was just another day in Mystic Falls. He’d managed to drag Kace back to reality and thank fuck he made for good conversation. Mikey had spent too long staring at a concrete wall to do that all over again. Kace hadn’t exactly had a smooth ride recently either, admitting to Mikey he’d recently been brought from the dead. They’d both experienced their own kind of solitary, except Mikey had brought it upon himself. Mikey had tried to speak to the faceless assholes when they appeared in the train station, but it was hopeless. They had no fucking mouths for starters. Mikey and Kace weren’t the only conscious ones though, eventually they came to learn they’d been snatched by these things, leaving behind no trace of their existence in the real world. Chase would have no idea he had an older brother trapped somewhere and Mab would be just as clueless. There had to be a way home though. No fucking way did they had a bunch of supernaturals trapped in the station with no way out. But hope faded once the full moon was due to hit and nothing happened to him. They needed a witch or warlock, but it seemed none had been collected. Yet. At first Mikey thought he’d finally lost his mind and insanity had crept in, but Kace confirmed the person Mikey was staring at was very real. Mikey’s hands bundled into a tight fist as his eyes locked on Nemo, sitting on the other side of the train station. In the real world he couldn’t beat the shit out of Nemo because he’d be sent straight back to jail, but now they were in some lawless society. He could kill Nemo and there’d be no consequences, except they’d lose their only warlock in there. Okay, maybe he didn’t have to go as far as killed Nemo, just fucking him up a little, like he did to Chase. Anger spiked as he thought about his brother, exhaling slowly as he stood up. He made his way over to Nemo, coming to a halt just in front of him, staring down at him. “I got a proposal for you. You abacadabra us the fuck out of here and I won’t kill you… or Giorgia.” It had become apparent in their interaction Nemo cared for Giorgia. She was the perfect piece to use in their game of chess. At first, he only remembered Giorgia. He remembered making up with her━no, trying to━when he was taken. Brought here. He thought his train was going back to New Orleans. He thought he’d given up. That he’d called his dad and conceded, and that Emiliano made some comment like he’d been expecting it. At least, Nemo thought, he’d lasted longer than anybody expected.
Now, he sat trembling in the back corner of the train station, wondering why his gum hadn’t lost its flavour, but not not being thankful for it. He stared at his hands, then ran his fingertips over his scars, double-checking that they were still there. Yup. They’d taken him away from everyone, from every thing, but they hadn’t taken those.
What Chase left him with.
Nemo thought he saw his face in everyone else’s here. Each double-take made him realize he was just losing it, but what else was new?
Then he heard Chase.
Nemo flinched once his eyes focused on the shoes behind his hands, looking up quickly to find… Mikey. Not Chase. Still a traitor, a snake, but he wasn’t Nemo’s enemy. Not as much as Chase, anyway.
Until he said that.
The rest of it flooded in. His whole life, the parts that involved Mikey━the memory of just seeing him. Thinking he was with Giorgia.
Nemo stood suddenly, his scarred face close to Mikey’s, dark eyes glaring. He’d been upset a second ago, but now Mikey was threatening Giorgia, and he wouldn’t let that stand.
“I’ll kill you if you touch her,” He hissed, his hand twitching, wishing he could choke the life out of Mikey. But the magic didn't come, and he was reminded that they were stranded here. “I can’t… can’t fuckin’ get us out.” He admitted, frowning deeply, tears beginning to well in his eyes. He’d never see her again. But the sadness only fueled his anger until it bubbled to the rim, nearly boiling over, before abruptly deflating.
Nemo dropped back into his seat and slid his arms around himself. It didn’t matter what Mikey did, anyway, ‘cause they weren’t getting out of here. Ever.

Mikey had been vacant from Chase’s life for two decades, so he wasn’t going to sit back and let that become a permanent thing. They’d been reunited for two years, but they were still catching up on loss time. Mikey refused to have that snatched away from him by some horse riding fuckers. There had to be some kind of loophole and he was determined to find it. He needed to find it. It wasn’t just Chase he was thinking about though, it was Mab too. They’d struck up some close connection over the past few months and he was missing her which was amusing in itself considering the awful first impression she made on him. She’d painted herself as someone who couldn’t be trusted, but now if Mab asked him to break into Whitmore college with her he’d consider it, especially if that meant keeping her safe. There were plenty of people the Ghost Riders could have scooped up on their journey, but they had to scoop up Nemo and throw him in there with Mikey. He didn’t know what kind of rules applied to them, for example if he killed Nemo would he stay dead or spring back? And what if they got out, would he get in trouble with the cops? He couldn’t snap Nemo’s neck yet though because he needed the asshole to get them out of them. Mikey had no intention of approaching Nemo and asking him nicely to wave his wand to save them. Threatening would be more efficient, even more so when he would throw Giorgia into the mix. “I will tear your face off Nemo.” As much as he wanted to, his claws didn’t spring from his hands. The same way nothing happened when the full moon came round. “What do you mean you can’t? You’re a fuckin’ warlock just…” Then it dawned on him. If his abilities were rendered useless then so were Nemo’s, “You can’t do magic.” Mikey slumped down onto the seat next to Nemo, feeling truly defeated. What would it fucking matter anyway? If he stayed like this, or if he was faceless, nothing would change. He’d still be trapped in this fucking train station prison world with Mikey Buckley of all fucking people.
Eventually, the snake came to the obvious conclusion on his own, and Nemo stayed staring at the space between his shoes, his hands on opposite elbows, effectively cradling himself. “Yup.” He puffed, though he was surprised Mikey even bothered to sit next to him. Even without claws, Mikey could’ve kicked the shit out of him, but he didn’t. Nemo figured it was one of those things that didn’t matter anymore━like the fact that he’d threatened Giorgia. They just… forgot about it.
“Out of all the people to be stuck here with…” He said under his breath, then scoffed quietly again. He would’ve loved this as a kid. All he’d ever wanted was for Georgie to accept him, to even mildly like him, and Mikey got that outsider spot. Now, he hated them. It was like he’d been given the gift Nemo had always wanted and then threw it away. “How long’d it take you to remember everythin’?” Nemo asked. Who fucking knew how long they’d be here━may as well pass the time.

Mikey let out a sharp laugh, shaking his head as he did so. “My brother didn’t do shit to you.” Chase would never lay a finger on Nemo and risk putting his job on the line. But whoever did attack Nemo deserved a fucking medal. Mikey would love to shake their hand. The train station wasn’t big enough for the pair of them to coexist amiably. If Nemo hadn't gone after Chase Mikey may have been willing to brush their differences under the carpet, especially because Nemo was never truly a part of the Agnellis family. However, it was clear he was still desperately trying to earn his spot. Mikey couldn’t understand why either. The family were poison That last spark of hope he had was extinguished when he realised Nemo was without his magic. He was never going to see Chase or Mab ever again, but unfortunately he was going to see Nemo every single fucking day. Just another piece of karma working its way into his life, like he hadn’t paid enough for his crimes. His head hung as he peered down at the concrete floor. “I dunno… a week or two maybe. I realised Mystic Falls doesn’t have a train station and these motherf-ckers were completely glazed over.” He lifted his head back up, glancing at the people who surrounded them. Even though he hated Nemo he had to cling onto those few people who were mindlessly idiots, otherwise he’d go insane within a few months. “Do you know who these faceless people are? Nemo let it go━as he had to with most things━by the time Mikey sat next to him. He sparked up a conversation, asking something mundane that might allow them to relate to each other. Make this tolerable. “Yeah,” He puffed, “‘Bout the same.” He’d taken less time, but he’d spent most of it thinking about Giorgia, pleading with someone who wasn’t listening to be back with her.
“Nah,” Nemo shook his head, “There’s lots of witch lore about shit like this━people who take you in the night. Most of it seemed like just scary stories,” But he couldn't remember every piece of his education━he couldn’t remember every piece of his life after what Chase did to him. “Don’t think they’re gonna let us out, though. Might be stuck here forever.” He muttered.
Nemo kept quiet for a little while, wallowing silently, until he picked up the conversation again. He wasn’t great at this, but it was all they had left.
