Only the immortals were supposed to be downstairs, to which Manny calmly argued with Hector he belonged down there too because he too was immortal and untouchable. Hector didn’t put up much of a fight, issuing Manny with a code in the secret hope someone would violently humble Manny downstairs, but nothing so far. He sat at the bar amongst the others who’d celebrated hundreds of birthdays. Plus it was an area of the building he knew his brother would be itching to explore, but didn’t have the means to do so unless he slipped into the skin of anyone. It was a secret he had yet to share with Hector or Luc. He owed those men nothing and had little interest in keeping them safe, only his money which trickled through the club, one dollar at a time. It would be a bargaining chip if necessary. Manny never showed his cards all at once. Whilst downstairs Manny relaxed a tiny tiny bit compared to the club upstairs mainly because none of his enemies could get to him. The gun remained in his waistband the whole time, but his fingers didn’t twitch to reach for it as much, although the more time he spent down there, the more he considered loading another gun up with wooden bullets. Just in case one of them decided to try and take a chunk from him. He couldn’t trust those fang bearing bastards. But it wasn’t just the vampires he had to watch out for, it was Hannya as well. The woman lived and breathed danger, which excited Manny in some way. She wasn’t boring like all those other bitches in town and actually knew how to have a good time, which sometimes consisted of killing someone. That was Manny’s definition of a fun loving woman. So long as he wasn’t on the receiving end of her actions, all was good. He sat in one of the booths near the bar, eyes bouncing left to right constantly, as if he was waiting for someone to pounce on him. Manolo brought his drink up to his lips, taking a small sip before immediately spitting it back out into the glass. Fucking idiot behind the bar. He’d asked for vodka, not gin. Did he look like a fancy soccer mom who drank gin and tonic? His annoyance faded slightly as Hannya scrolled past his booth, like a woman on a mission. “Hannya… could you be a doll and bring me the drink I asked for? Vodka soda. Please.” He flashed her a smile, tipping the glass toward her. She did work there after all, “Why don’t you get yourself a drink as well and come and join me.” With his free hand he tapped the empty space next to him in the booth. HANNYA

━ make you beg for it, plead for it, until you feel like you breathe for it ━ IT WAS A PARTICULARLY BORING DAY AT THE CLUB. NOBODY HAD DIED (yet), and none of her friends had visited. She thought about inviting someone she could take a chunk out of for fun (with her teeth, of course). Joel? No, she’d let him marinate a bit longer. Leah? Nuh uh, that was unfolding in its own time. Mitch? Played too many times, she’d wait for something more interesting. Cory? Hm, could be fun, though that depended on how much whining she wanted to listen to. Sadness was fun a lot of the time, but not for tonight. She was feeling… something darker. Scarier. Something she could sink her teeth into and chomp until blood dripped down her chin.
Speaking of, Hannya shot Lawrence a nasty look from across the club as she strode by, making her appearances━gracing them all with her presence like the Queen. She was the queen of this place, after all, and they all knew it, too. Everyone wanted a piece of her. They wanted her to slip in at their table and stay for the night. They wanted a taste━blood or otherwise━just to say they had. And she loved saying no.
She loved saying yes even more, though━most would erupt in jealousy all around her, their eyes trained on the lucky one who was permitted a sample.
An old vampire in the back of the bar had been eyeing her for months. He desperately vied for her attention, and she always gave it for a time━a tease, and that was all. Tonight, she felt his beady, little eyes watching her, and she headed straight for the youngest vampire in the room. She wanted the older one to squirm.
On her way, though, she was interrupted by… Manny. Manolo. The one who worked with Hector; whose brother was the detective that constantly came sniffing━the one always at Joel’s side.
“You really think you’re gonna order me ‘round?” Hannya scoffed, stopping by his table, hands perched on her hips. She rolled her eyes, Dolly’s perfect nose wrinkling in distaste. It was funny, though, that he’d chosen that nickname. He didn’t know about them, did he? He was the type of man to drop something like that in conversation and hope she’d pick it up. “What kinda man don’t drink somethin’ dark, like whiskey?” She reached out, snatching his drink over one lip so that the liquid splashed her nails when she tugged it from him. Using the same grip, she tossed her head back and downed the whole thing, then glanced over her shoulder at the bar. Hannya considered lobbing the glass at Lawrence’s head, but figured Hector might have something to say about that. This was supposed to be a business-like, professional establishment. Uh-huh. As if her outfit really made her fit right in.
“Ya caught me on a good day, sugar,” Hannya relented, looking back at Manny with a soft smile. “I’ll get ya your drink, but I expect somethin’ in return, uh huh?” She retreated to the bar, ordering two drinks.
When Hannya returned, she sat right beside Manny, so close that her bare thigh rubbed against him. “Gotcha somethin’ better.” She grinned devilishly, placing Manny’s drink in front of him as she sipped her own, leaning into his shoulder. A Moscow Mule using Mezcal instead, ‘cause it was significant, of course. “Think they call it a Mezcal Mule,” She spoke softly into his ear, almost as though she were saying something far more sensual. “Thought you might enjoy th’taste-ah home better than a vodka soda, hm?” Hannya purred, wondering how much she could stroke that prickly outside before he snapped.

He hadn’t sussed out Hannya fully yet. He knew the bare minimum about her. She was a demon, old as hell and was currently inhabiting an unbelievably sexy body that he was dying to get his hands around. Tonight was the night. He’d spent enough time with Kaden to understand how demons worked. They all had an itch that needed scratching, he just needed to figure out what Hannya’s was. Kaden fed off wrath, primarily driven by his mission to destroy Ricky. Manolo was quick to shake Kaden’s hand and agreed to help bring Ricky down, but what was the delay? He had enough to eliminate Ricky, but something was holding him back. He could place his glass down at that moment, leave the bar, kill his brother, and return to his drink before the ice started to melt. But what was Hannya’s virtue? It had to be lust and that was something he could work with. Manny was more than happy to itch that scratch of hers, along with his own. “No one orders you around.” Although it seemed Hannya was happy to call herself the manager but when she was asked to work she would scoff. “Nothing wrong with a vodka soda every now and then” Admittedly it was something college girls tended to drink when they were watching their figure, but Manny didn’t have that problem. “Name your price and I’ll be happy to pay.” He watched as she walked away from him, his eyes fixated on that ass as it swung beautifully with each step she took. Manny’s tongue ran across his top lip, picturing his hands grabbing onto her flesh. His gaze only broke as she spun around to face him. She didn’t return with the drink he asked for, but he wasn’t going to kick up a fuss with someone like Hannya. This wasn’t a poxy bar in New York where he could launch himself over the counter and beat the shit out of the bartender for getting his order wrong. “Thank you, sweetheart.” He turned his body to face her, reaching forward to take his drink before he took a long sip, “Mmm… tastes just like México.” He placed the drink back down, turning his full attention to Hannya. He couldn’t be bothered to explain to her that he was actually born in California. They weren’t there to share life stories with each other, “I can think of something that tastes a lot better though.” He draped his arm across the top of the sofa, just above Hannya’s shoulders. ━ make you beg for it, plead for it, until you feel like you breathe for it ━ “WHAT’S THE FUN IN NAMIN’ MY PRICE?” HANNYA GRINNED devilishly, her eyes twinkling at him. “I’ll let ya figure it out, sugar.” And she went to get his drink because it seemed like a good way to needle him, to poke at Manny until she got to see what made him tick. Hector didn’t let a lot of people close enough to see the innards of his business, so he must’ve been significant in some way other than just being Joel’s partner’s brother.
That famous temper was nowhere to be found when she prodded him with the drink, though. Hannya watched him expectantly, though her grin slowly fell as he gave her nothing. Absolutely nothing. This was the man everybody feared? She knew the majority of them became brainless when it came to a gorgeous woman━when it came to Hannya especially━but what the hell was the matter with him? Didn’t he have any balls?
Hannya hummed softly and grinned, shifting closer as Manny laid his arm over the couch. She had one leg up and resting on the cushion’s edge, angling her body towards him. “Think, can’t know ‘less ya heard it from someone else.” Hannya fluttered her lashes innocently, reaching out to lay her hand on his chest. “Didja? Didn’t think ya talked t’your brother that much,” She smirked and leaned in again, nosing his cheek softly, her lips brushing over his jaw. “He comes in ‘ere sometimes with someone else’s face on. Guess he’s ashamed, y’know… clearly you got all the looks in the family.” Hannya purred, giving a playful kitten lick to his neck, feeling the rough brush of his facial hair. She nipped him in the same spot and laughed lightly into his skin.
She could’ve just been talking about Joel, but Manny didn’t know that. For all he knew, she’d chosen to fuck his brother long before ever considering him, and Hannya wanted to see how that made him feel.

Hannya was the girl your parents told you to avoid. She would chew you up and spit you back out, but she’d have a hard time chewing Manny up. He was above that. He was a silly boy who was going to find himself getting involved with Hannya. Manny didn’t get involved with anyone because they’d end up with a bullet lodged in their temple. He watched as the smile dropped off her face when he thanked her for the drink. Was she expecting him to make a scene? In a bar full of people who were immortal? No. But she wasn’t done with him, trying to stir the anger that was constantly brewing inside of him. She just wasn’t pushing the right buttons though, even though it wasn’t hard to find them and there were lots of them. Sometimes Zach managed to press every single fucking button. It seemed like Manny was the only man in Mystic Falls who hadn’t slept with Hannya. Tonight it was his turn. “It’s a theory that needs to be tested.” He hadn’t heard any feedback on Hannya’s performance, namely because he didn’t get himself involved with conversations like that, but he knew she’d be good. She was a demon who’d been around for many many years, so she knew her way around a man’s body. “My brother?” His body straightened up a little, stiffening slightly at the mention of Ricky. He couldn’t even focus on her lips trailing along his jaw because his mind was locked on Ricky. There was no chance in hell Ricky came into the bar, but Hannya had pressed all those fucking buttons. Now his eyes were bouncing around the bar, paranoid that one of them was Ricky. Manny grabbed Hannya by the jaw, pushing her away from him. “How’d you know it’s my brother?” He’d dropped the flirty act instantly. He was pissed. She’d planted a fucking seed in his head and now he was considering the idea that Ricky had come into the bar and slept with Hannya. “My brother doesn’t visit these types of places.” Nor sleep with women like Hannya. The man was married to his job. “Are you tryin’ to tell me you fucked my brother?” That was Manny’s job, not Ricky. HANNYA

━ make you beg for it, plead for it, until you feel like you breathe for it ━ HANNYA FELT MANNY TENSE BENEATH HER LIPS, HIS ATTENTION elsewhere as she kissed and licked and nipped. Her mouth did other things, though, like mention his brother, and that was enough to steal him away from her━at least mentally.
Suddenly, his hand was grabbing her jaw, not to reel her in, though, but pushing Hannya away. She cackled as she allowed the motion to move her, rocking back on the cushion until the base of her spine was pressed to it. Hannya rolled forward again, sitting up for a moment before she leaned sideways into the chair, still smiling as though the topic━and Manny’s behaviour━hadn’t changed. “‘Cause he made th’mistake of showin’ up lookin’ like someone I know.” Hannya hadn’t sensed it originally, but between “Mitch” staring at her and Joel with no jealousy wafting from him and Mitch turning into Manny’s brother, she’d been able to piece it together.
“He does when he thinks you’re gonna be around,” She snickered, slipping her hand onto his chest delicately, despite the way he’d treated her only moments before. “Big ol’ attachment issues with that one, huh?” Her palm rubbed in slow circles as she spoke, “Ooh, but who wouldn’t with that pretty face?”
Hannya moved just as abruptly as he had, snatching his larger jaw in Dolly’s soft hand. It was far more delicate, smaller, than Manny’s, but the pressure of her nails in his skin made up for it. In a second, she was on his lap, effectively pinning Manny to the seat with her body, her eyes turning completely black. “That all you got, sugar?” She hissed, smirking as she challenged him and pressed his head into the back of the booth by his jaw. “Jus’ some tears ‘cause maybe your brother got a taste ‘fore you did?” Hannya snickered again, leaning down slowly to dip the tip of her tongue just past his lips, tasting his mouth softly, like he was made of glass.

His suspicions were true. Ricky had been coming into the bar dressing like someone else, but why the fuck would he turn up and sleep with Hannya? That was out of character for his brother, but maybe he did it to try and get closer to Manny’s business. That must have been the reason. It was the only logical reason. “Stay away from him.” Not because he was worried Hannya was going to crack Ricky’s head like a peanut, but because he didn’t want Hannya leaking information to her brother. She’d successfully wound him up and he was ready to snap at any fucking moment. His muscles didn’t relax as her hand glided over his chest. Ricky didn’t have attachment issues, he was just desperate to try and save his little brother. It had been years now, surely he knew by now Manny was a lost cause? His eyes locked on Hannya’s black cold eyes, her nails scraping against his skin. He knew she was trying to scare him, but he liked it. It excited him, leaving him wanting more from her. A smirk appeared on Manny’s face, dangerous and daring, “Maybe he did, but I’ll show you what it feels like to have a real man on top of you.” His mouth opened slightly as her tongue slid inside. His hands slid down her back, resting on her hips as he pulled her closer. HANNYA - wanna wrap up with yours?

━ make you beg for it, plead for it, until you feel like you breathe for it ━ MANNY WAS CRYIN’ LIKE A LITTLE BITCH, AND HANNYA HAD NEVER been more excited to rile someone up. Aw, well, that wasn’t really true, was it? Each one was exciting in its own way, but she planned to stir up Manny’s family bullshit after this. Joel was first on her list of stops… after she was done with Manny. Which would likely be a while.
She would stay away from Ricky, but not from their sticky web of bullshit. Whoopsies!
Instead of putting Manny in his place, the fucking masochist stiffened under her, looking more and more elated by the second. Well, it still worked for Hannya━she grinned as she slipped down, her tongue dipping past his lips. Good boy. Hannya made a soft, needy sound━like he could show her anything she hadn’t seen in the thousands of years she’d existed━and melted into his hands. Manolo would surely do his best, though, and Hannya was looking forward to seeing his work━especially when it left plentiful marks for Joel to see.
