Linc offered the couple who scurried past them a smile and a nod. They returned it, the woman’s smile beaming in a way that reminded him of Cassie’s. She even bounced on her toes as they went out of sight, a squeal rolling out of her as she spotted Tower Bridge all lit up – or something else equally as touristy, he couldn’t tell since it wasn’t English or at least French (three years of it at school had left him with a tiny sprinkling of it). If it was Turkish maybe Remzi would’ve had a clue, or one of the others had picked up something over the years. He glanced around at them, but if they’d taken any notice of the couple the interest had gone now (probably a good thing when it came to Hannya, happy couples must’ve been a total invite for him to wade in and break them up).
He looked back, tipping his head back slightly to look up at the wheel rising high overhead. If it had been earlier in the day the South Bank would’ve been crowded, the queue for the London Eye snaking back and forth in front of it. The giant pods took a while to swing around slowly, but they just gave everybody crammed inside the see through tin cans time to look out over the city. Magnus and Hector would’ve been tutting as they crawled around, pointing out all the things that were different now. All that glass, bah, in their day they hadn’t even had that. It had been mud huts surrounding the castles, with just holes for windows, letting in all the snow and rain, and they hadn’t gotten sick once in their human lives cause they were hardier back then. As though they were all living to ninety instead of dying young.
The grimace was smothered quickly. That was a sore spot he’d seen at Windsor when they’d gone there. Magnus’ life here hadn’t just crumbled to dust and been lost on the wind, he had memories tied as tight to this place as he did, only he seemed to have a lot more good to go with the bad that had happened. Things that brought tears to his eyes out of something more than grief.
By now that tide was on the move, the waves slapping a little harder against the boats they were pulled up and shuttered on the other side of the river. One of them was lit up, music tinkling from it. Probably some sort of party boat. It was a wonder Remzi hadn’t made a bee line straight for it. If the club had still been running and one of Wesley’s girls had been outside, flirting coyly with the men walking past as they’d handed out their leaflets offering a free drink, he’d have been right in the door. He was just the sort Wesley would’ve had at the after party, trusting him to party his way straight into the jaws of one of the faithful. Maybe Wes would’ve even liked him enough to turn him, instead of watching on dispassionately as he was drained and tossed aside. Less replaceable.
Like the breeze coming off the river was actually cold, Linc pulled his shirt closer round himself, tucking his hands into his pockets like he could keep the open front of it closed that way. The wheel was closer now, its shadow lacy on the pavement. Mrs Graham had promised she’d take him in the summer … the one that had been spent with her in the home, rapidly forgetting all the promises she’d made, like how she’d always take care of him. She’d tried, he wasn’t gonna blame her for it, but in the end her dying had been what had left him at the club and right in Wesley’s hands.
Pushing it out of his mind, he jerked his chin up towards the wheel. Most of the others hadn’t been to London before, but Hector and Magnus had. They’d probably had a taste of all the Millennium celebrations, although maybe Magnus had done them from the Royal barge or whatever it was that had sailed down the Thames. ”You ever been on it?” he asked, wrinkling his nose as he squinted up at it. ”We should … come back tomorrow and go up in it. You’re meant to be able to see the whole of the city from up there.” He could pinpoint the very spot where Wesley had kept him locked up, the one where Magnus had killed the younger vampire. Trapped in a pod with a handful of tourists, chatting about everything they’d done in the Tower of London when they’d been feasting and jousting with Henry VIII. Nope.
Instead of waiting for morning, Linc started angling towards the pier that led down to the where you boarded the pods. Nobody argued about a shift in the itinerary. Was that actually a look like they were enjoying it as Magnus and Hector headed for the controls like a pair of dads about to run their kids around on some remote control car – don’t worry kids, we’ll make sure it goes slow. Like the Eye had any other speed. He tugged open the door to the pod waiting at the bottom, bouncing a little as he went inside. The pod shifted, stopping him quickly. Linc turned, walking backwards as Lawrence, Remzi and Kit walked in. A second later the door swung shut and the whole thing shuddered slowly into motion. ”Do I wanna know why she stayed behind?” he asked, glanced at Lawrence. It’d been surprising Hannya hadn’t plastered herself to his side during the trip, but whatever had made them fall out seemed to have put Hannya onto Hector and Magnus instead, especially his dad. Alright, he honestly didn’t want to know.
Shaking his head, he walked to the end of the pod, practically pressing his nose to the glass to watch the water start moving further away from them. The pod was moving at a snail’s pace, maybe still warming up, but it didn’t take long for the view to start opening up. Not much was clear, but he could see the Houses of Parliament, St Paul’s cathedral, the Gherkin looming phallically on the other side of the river. Hannya would’ve loved that bit of it at least. As they reached the top the rest of London seemed to shake itself out like a picnic blanket covered with stars in the dark. ”It’s pretty at night,” he murmured. Cassie would’ve loved it, seen something magical in it all and maybe there was, although it’d been the bad sort of magic when he’d lived here.

It was a huge Ferris wheel that moved very very slowly, but Lawrence wasn’t complaining. It gave them a chance to appreciate London fully. They could have waited until the morning to cram into the pods with other tourists, but they were above the rules. Well, Magnus and Hector were. The closed signs didn’t deter them from hopping into the box and insisting they could get the thing going. Lawrence wasn’t entirely sure why Hannya had stayed behind, but he was somewhat glad she did. He didn’t want to be tormented by her four hundred feet in the air and trapped inside a pod with her. She would have probably opened a vein just for the sake of it, sending not only Linc into a frenzy but Lawrence and potentially Remzi too. He cast a glance a Linc as he asked why Hannya wasn’t joining them. “It’s probably for the best.” There was a part of him that was a little bit salty that Hannya had thrown herself at Hector throughout the trip. He knew what went on behind closed doors between the pair, but it was like she was waving it in front of his face in an attempt to stir jealously. Remzi had been the one to keep Lawrence occupied though, dragging him off to find girls to feed on. None of them had dropped dead at his feet yet, which was a relief. Shame Remzi couldn’t say the same, but he seemed impervious to guilt. Lawrence was somewhat envious of that. The image of the girl he killed recently started to fade from his mind as he continued to tell himself it was just a mistake, but also there was a voice repeating what Penny had told him. All humans died, and she would have died at some point. At least her death contributed to something. He still couldn’t comprehend that Phoebe had never killed a human. As soon as the wheel started to move Lawrence positioned himself near the window, hands deep in his pocket as he tried to pick out the famous landmarks but failed miserably. The only one he could spot was Big Ben, and they didn’t even need a vantage point to see that one. The Eye continued to move as Big Ben started to grow smaller and smaller along with everything else. He wished Phoebe or Teddy were there with him to see the city lit up beautifully. He rummaged around in his pockets, looking for his phone to take a video until he realised. Fucking Kit. Then the wheel came to a gradual halt once they were nearly at the top. He had seen the Eye in the day, and he was almost certain it never stopped, but maybe Magnus and Hector were feeling kind enough to stop the attraction so they could have a few minutes to admire the views. “Hello? Can any of you hear me?” It was Hector’s voice from below, and Lawrence turned his head toward the direction it was coming from. “We’re having a few problems down here. Magnus pulled the wrong lever, and now it’s snapped off.” Lawrence could pick up Magnus’ voice in the background protesting that version of events. Lawrence sighed heavily, “Yes, we can hear you.” He turned to Remzi, Kit and Linc, “How long is gonna take to fix?”There was silence for a moment as Magnus and Hector exchanged looks, “It’s beyond repairable. Just jump down.” Hector responded eventually. Lawrence’s eyes darted around the pod looking for one of those tiny hammers to smash the glass, but there wasn’t anything. “I guess we’ll just have to yank the door open.” He turned his attention to Kit, “Can one of us offer you a lift down?” There was a grin on his face as he spoke. ━ like sisyphus pushing that rock uphill ━ THIS PLACE WAS DOPE AS FUUUUUCK. REMZI WAS havin’ the time of his fuckin’ life. Honestly, he was so glad he’d hitched a ride on this trip. He was away from all the headaches of Mystic Falls, and━apart from Magnus bein’ a bitch about some blow at the Queen’s house━he’d spent most of his trip in the clouds.
Now it was literal. Kinda. The thing didn’t go that high. But whatever, the little dude made some joke about goin’ up, and then suddenly they were━except the old fucks (and Hannya). Lawrence was really the only guy he knew here (other than Hannya), and so Remzi mostly stuck to his side. Not, like, a little fuckin’ bitch or anything. He could do shit on his own. But the group shit in a foreign country was easier with at least one guy whose name Remzi could actually remember.
He climbed in after Lawrence with the wolf behind him, which, like, probably should’ve worried him, but everyone seemed cool about it. It was ninety percent vampires, and the dude was still invited, so that had to mean something. Especially ‘cause Remzi wasn’t.
Flopping down into one of the cushions, Remzi relaxed for a moment before his eyes popped wide again, leaning in to comment on Lawrence’s conversation. “Probably for the best? Dude, you wouldn’t want her up here just to look at?” He leaned back again, relaxing and grinning. “I bet she’d let us do ‘er all at once. Hannya’s a team player.” He snickered.
On the way up, he was amazed by the lights, staring with a glazed-over expression at all of them━at the whole city below. He only wished this thing was faster. That would be sick━a rollercoaster that went this high? He’d sign up for that shit.
Eventually, though, the pod stopped. It took him a moment to tune into the voices down below━for a second, he’d wondered who the fuck Lawrence was talking to.
“That is not what ‘appened.” He heard Magnus grumble at Hector, but Remzi didn’t bother to look down at them. Did vampires get tinnitus? Whatever, he wasn’t gonna risk it.
They were gonna have to jump down? It wasn’t a rollercoaster, but it was close enough. A broad grin spread across his features, and Remzi stood, walking over to the side doors they’d entered through. Without hesitation, he kicked hard at the latch, breaking it immediately. The doors swung open and a harsh breeze knocked him back a few steps, causing Remzi to chuckle dopily.
“I’m good; you’re well acquainted with the river now, though, huh? The jump’s gonna be fine for you.” Kit smirked at Lawrence, only briefly ruffled by the sudden wind and exposure to the elements. He’d… probably be fine. He’d just aim for the water and heal up if he hit something… hopefully.
“Yooo,” Remzi mused, standing at the very edge with his toes hanging just off the side. One hand gripped the door’s latch as he leaned forward, letting the breeze hit him all at once. “This shit’s dope. You guys gotta stand over here for a minute before we jump off. Look at the water, man.” Remzi grinned, pointing with his free hand to the glimmer of lights off the water, which looked like twinkly little… shit. It was nice. The rest of them were p-ssies; Leah would stand on the edge with him. She’d probably be the first to jump, too… or she’d just teleport them down.

Panic wasn’t exactly unfamiliar, but these days it usually appeared on the heels of hunger, or when he started thinking maybe he’d done irreparable damage when heartache had those tethers on his self-control snapping to the point where he’d seriously screwed up. This wasn’t any of that, wasn’t even vampire related in the least. Linc felt his breathing start to speed up the minute the pod ground to a halt. ”What was that?” he asked Lawrence, his gaze ticking back and forth between the three men in the pod with him. Remzi probably wouldn’t have a clue, he’d been too fixated on Hannya, sitting there all spaced out and happy. Kit … Kit was the sensible one, surely he had a clue. No, nobody was saying anything. What the hell?
His palms grew damp as he looked back at Lawrence. Seconds ago he’d said that it was probably for the best that Hannya wasn’t with them. Now it was a miracle. She’d have taken one look at him and started cackling, seeing a chance to slowly have him falling apart, like he was the spider and she was the twisted kid puling the legs off of it.
Nausea clawed at his throat. It was like Remzi was the only one of them stupid enough to want her up here, probably for some sort of entertainment for the interval while whatever had happened below kicked off. Had it been Hannya to cause the trouble?
Linc’s eyes snapped up as Hector’s voice drifted out. Not his dad’s, that would’ve been a little reassuring at least. Magnus always seemed to have everything in hand, he knew the way to talk his kid down off the ledge. Hector probably would’ve been like the others, giving him a hand up onto it, preparing him to ju…. No, he wasn’t even thinking the J word.
Stunned at Hector’s announcement, he rushed across the pod, trying to stare down through the structure of it to spot the three of them like ants below. All he could see was a tangle of shadows. ”You’re kidding, right? This is just a joke? Dad?” Magnus was the sensible one, the steady one, he wouldn’t known this wasn’t like some modern sort of horse, able to go faster the harder you pushed it. The wheel didn’t fly around in the air, giving everyone the thrill of their life with a burst of adrenalin and fear instead of the awe that rushed in at the sight of the city spread out before them.
There it was again, the J word. Linc lifted his hands, clamped them over the sides of his head as he started to back away from where Lawrence had taken the suggestion as the only possible way out. They hadn’t just broken the controls of the wheel, they were gonna smash their way out of it too and he’d been the one to get them all the way up here in the first place. Why hadn’t he just kept on walking? They’d have been strolling into some pub now or piling into a couple of cabs to go and put their feet up in Hector’s little palace.
He swallowed, trying to find his voice. If it came out all cracked and shaking he was never gonna hear the end of it. ”There’ll be some sort of emergency override. They wouldn’t build something like this without one,” Linc spluttered. ”It’s not like most people can just…” He swept his hand out through the air like he was miming jumping into the water. This lot were crazy though – barring Kit maybe – Lawrence and Remzi would probably come up with some competition over who could cannonball the furthest out into the Thames where they’d have some tourist shitting themselves when they popped back up out of the river laughing like lunatics.
”Don’t do that!” The order squeaked out of him as Remzi didn’t even hesitate. He strutted over to the door they’d come in by while it was on the ground, and booted it like he was a police officer on a raid – something he’d probably have been on the receiving end of at any other time.
Wind whipped in and Linc pressed up against the back of the pod, the rail a hard line against his spine. Remzi wasn’t just a little bit touched, he was a total and utter nutter. Kit was already taking the piss out of Lawrence over what had happened before, the dip Lawrence had already taken in the Thames. They had to be shitting him. A low hum rolled through him, taking on a whining edge that he hated. ”No thanks,” Linc spluttered as Remzi toed up to the edge, looking like he was about to pull a Tom Daley and springboard off of it. ”It’s not dope, it’s crazy. What are you gonna do if you hit one of those supports head first on the way down? You lot can go. I’ll stay here, Magnus’ll sort something out.” His faith in his dad should’ve been rocky considering he was supposedly to blame for this, but given the choice between believing that some rescue was coming and flinging himself out into the night with a bunch of nutjobs, he’d take Magnus any day of the week.

It probably wasn’t a good idea for Lawrence to hang out with Remzi quite so much on the trip. He had a tendency to lead Lawrence off towards mischief, whether it be going to strip clubs until 4am or trying to convince Lawrence to do some blow in Buckingham Palace. But there was no denying the trip would have been a little dull with Remzi providing so much entertainment. “Nah I’ve seen enough of her.” Could anyone get bored of seeing Hannya? Probably not. “I’m all for sharing, but I gotta draw a line somewhere and it’s there.” The last thing he wanted to see on this trip was Linc’s pasty family jewels or Kit’s hairy ones. He was assuming Kit’s were hairy, like the rest of him. The testosterone was strong in that one. Jumping from the pod didn’t faze Lawrence at all, but the warlock version of him that once existed probably wouldn’t have even stepped foot inside the pod in the first place. “I’m not waiting already all night whilst they find some emergency override.” He looked over at Linc as he started to inspect the door to see if there was an easy way to open it, but Remzi stepped in and sent his foot flying into the latch despite Linc’s pointless protest not to do it. The door broke off its hinges and fell into the darkness below them. “You sure? It’s pretty high and I’ve heard werewolves bounce when they hit the floor.” He glanced over at Kit before peering out the door and down towards the river, although his feet weren’t quite dangling off the edge like Remzi’s. Any closer and Remzi or Kit would have sent him flying into the Thames. He could just about make out where the edge between the river and land. Linc’s voice was still echoing in the background, filled with panic, acting like they were actually going to die. “Worst case scenario we break our neck… vampires are like cats anyway. They always land on their feet.” Even though he was being completely unsympathetic towards Linc, if he was a fresh vampire he probably would have been feeling the same. Linc needed to have his neck snapped a few times to realise vampires were mostly invincible. “Gotta be careful we don’t land heart first on some sharp piece of wood.” It was impossible to see if there were any dangers like that below. “I’m aiming for the sidewalk. Fuck jumping in the river. It’ll be freezing.” His twigs and berries would literally go up inside him, plus he wasn’t going to walk through the streets of London in soaking wet clothes. Again. They had two options. Leave the wimp behind or force him to jump out the pod. Lawrence’s gaze shot back to Remzi, raising his eyebrows slightly as he nodded toward Linc as coyly as possible. Hopefully Remzi would click that he was suggesting the pair throw Linc onto the sidewalk below. REMZI DURMAZ

━ like sisyphus pushing that rock uphill ━ REMZI DIDN’T PAY ATTENTION TO THE WAY Magnus shifted and sighed, staring up at his son. All he wanted was to help (Magnus, not Remzi, obviously), especially because it was the first time Linc had called him “dad” out loud. “I’m sorry, son. Best be jumpin’ down soon. Don’t worry, I’ll be ‘ere at th’bottom.”
“Aaaaaw,” Remzi teased, casting a mean smirk in Linc’s direction. “The kid’s got his daddy waitin’ down there to catch him.” His eyes flicked to Lawrence, “Would suck if he splatted on the sidewalk.” He chuckled, looking down across the river.
“Yeah, fuck the override!” Remzi shouted, laughing hard as he swayed slightly, bending to the wind’s strength. “Nah, we’re better off in the water, man. What’s better, healin’ from a hard belly flop or from your knees shooting through your skin and hittin’ you in the face?” He laughed again, like the idea was at all amusing, and followed Lawrence’s gaze over to Linc.
It took him a minute but, eventually, the idea landed. Remzi’s blank stare turned into a look of acknowledgement, like a visual representation of the idea landing in his brain. His brows went up and he smirked, nodding sharply. “River.” He clarified, though, ‘cause as dumb as he was, Remzi knew better than to pancake Magnus’ kid. He’d probs get Hector to join in on the pummelling just for fun.
They walked in tandem, with Kit watching without saying a word or intervening. He figured it was better not to.
Remzi grabbed one half of Linc and scooped him up, laughing as he restrained the kid, saying non-comforting shit like, “C’moooon, chill out, you’ll be fiiiine.” Before reaching the edge again. Remzi counted aloud to three before tossing the kid out with Lawrence, then grabbed the door to lean over the side, watching him fall. Remzi made a cartoon sound to accompany Linc’s fall and splash, chuckling as he did. “Dope.” He puffed, “See? He’s alive. You next.” And before Lawrence could protest, Remzi hit him hard in the back, hoping to boot him off the side.
Kit decided he would climb down the Eye once the idiots were all gone.

Linc’s gaze jumped up to Remzi as he sneered over Magnus’ reassurance, the queasy feeling disappearing for a long moment as he scowled back at the older vampire (in actual years only, Remzi was just as much a baby vamp as he was). ”At least someone would give a shit if I did. Honestly, why are you here anyway?” It wasn’t like Remzi was staff … or wanted, except maybe by Lawrence, who was likely lonely while Hannya heaped attention on Magnus and Hector. He’d just been there on the plane when they’d trooped on, lingering like a bad smell that’d got into your clothes – only this one could talk.
At least when Remzi was out of the pod – there was no way he wouldn’t be first out, probably going out head first (unfortunately that wouldn’t damage his face or lose him the last few braincells he hadn’t already fried) - he’d be able to take his own time going down. Kit would probably have a plan to climb down, knowing exactly where the emergency exit was, arriving down there without ending up soaking wet or …
Remzi just had to. Linc let out a little groan, the sweat beading on his upper lip again, going cold the minute the wind whipped through the door and tugged at all of them like it too wanted him to fly out into the night. ”Can you not,” he bit out at the lunatic. Maybe werewolves did bounce and Kit, too, would be fine with jumping, but he wouldn’t be, he could just feel it in his bones. The Thames would do what his parents and Wesley had failed to, it would actually kill him. Some old, rotting wharf under the surface, or even some ancient boat they hadn’t turned up yet, driftwood stuck in the mud, just any stake shaped object waiting for him to belly flop right down on top of it.
He lifted a hand, swiping the back of it across his damp upper lip. The laugh at Lawrence managing to contradict himself in two seconds flat was absolutely bordering on the hysterical. ”I dunno about cats, but I don’t think any of us are going to land on our feet and our heads at once. Which one is it?” If Lawrence was honestly going to jump down onto the bank, it would more likely be Remzi’s threat of your knee caps in your brain instead. ”Fuck jumpin’ full stop, I’m not doin’ it.” There was always another way, a couple of years of living with Magnus had taught him that.
Brainless vamp going from vacant to smug again was a warning. Linc’s gaze shot back to Lawrence, his brow furrowing. They were up to something and given that the two of them weren’t dumb enough to try and take Kit on, not even at the same time, that meant it was aimed at him. ”I swear to God, if you try to...” There weren’t many places to run, but Linc tried. He sprang up onto the bench in the middle, heading for the end of it and the bulky cover of a maybe cooperative Kit.
Not. Fast. Enough. Linc hollered as Remzi scooped his legs out from under him. Lawrence handled the other end, although Linc tried to elbow the traitorous bastard in the mouth. ”Chill out? Fuck off! Nononono!” His nails were buried in Lawrence’s forearms, raking down them instead of the door frame as he was thrown out.
Like one of those proverbial cats he tried to twist in the air, getting his legs back under him so he didn’t tumble over one of the giant metal beams and break his back or neck. The world streaked past him, all blurring bright lights and muddy shadow and then he was in the water. The cold was as hard a slap as the surface had been, driving all the air out of him in a whoosh. For a second Linc continued to sink, bubbles streaking up past him, then the panic hit and he started to flail his way towards the surface. The tide was already started to carry him, but he was only yards away when a second splash told him either Lawrence or Remzi had joined him. ”Help!” Someone walking past might’ve seen people go in the water, might end up hearing them, but Linc was hoping that Magnus and Hector were going to be the ones scrambling down the nearest slipway to drag him up as he reached the side and started bopping along, waiting for that hand to clap on and drag him out.

Even Magnus was telling them to jump off the Eye and he was the sensible one. Lawrence was surprised Linc wasn’t leaping from the pod anyway, scared the police were going to find them or something. They were certainly breaking the law by being up there, but at least the view was pretty. Shame he couldn’t take any pictures, thanks to Kit. There was a twitch of a smirk on Lawrence’s face as Remzi mocked Linc. It was tempted to join in but he didn’t want to be accused of bullying Linc when they finally got the ground. Dad would be quick to stick up for his son. Lawrence must have missed that whole adoption thing. “Nah I’m saying we’re like cats we’ll land on our feet but if you hit something on the way down you could land on your head.” Granted, it didn’t sound fun having your knees shoot through your skin. “That’s not gonna happen.” He scoffed. He’d jumped off the clock tower enough times to know nothing was going to happen. “Fine. You aim for water, I aim for the sidewalk… we’ll see who wins.” Linc had already announced by now he wasn’t jumping, full stop. But he wasn’t going to stand in that pod all night until Linc grew some balls and jumped, so Remzi and him would have to help him. Thankfully Remzi understood what was happening, which surprised Lawrence. “River.” He said with a nod. No knees through the chest, just potentially breaking his ribs on impact. If they threw him far enough he’d certainly make it to the river, but maybe not with Linc’s fingers digging into Lawrence’s arm then the side of the pod. “The water will break your fall.” Although Lawrence wasn’t certain about that. Finally the pair had managed to throw Linc from the pod, “Do a flip!” He called out to Linc before he heard a splash. Soon Remzi had turned on Lawrence though, sending a heavy hand into his back. So much for aiming for the sidewalk. He was heading straight for the river, hitting the water with harsh force sending him sinking within seconds. His body almost went into shock because the water was so cold but he managed to kick his way to the surface. Drowning was never a fun way to die. Soon he was at the surface, gasping for air. “Jesus Murphy.” He coughed some of the water out of his lungs as he spotted Linc, splashing around in the water. Lawrence started to swim over to Linc, grabbing him by the collar of his t-shirt and dragging them both back a slipway where Hector was standing. REMZI DURMAZ - wanna wrap with yours?

━ like sisyphus pushing that rock uphill ━ LINC BITCHED AND COMPLAINED, BUT, EVENTUALLY, he was in the water too, and even if he called out for help, he was still alive. With all the boxes checked of not pissing off Magnus enough to kill him and getting the baby-bitchboy in the water, Remzi smacked Lawrence hard in the back and sent him down, too. He’d expected the other vampire to grab him at the last second and drag him down, too, but obviously Lawrence’s reflexes weren’t that fast. And he hadn’t grown up with a brother. With the roles reversed, Remzi could definitely see himself not going down without a fight.
He turned around to Kit and grinned, and the dude muttered, “Don’t even fuckin’ think about it.” And that was enough for Remzi. He didn’t have a great sense of self-preservation, but he knew a wolf bite would kill him, and Kit was pretty much the same size as him. Remzi wasn’t gonna risk it━he didn’t care about throwing him in that much.
“Peace, bitch,” Remzi raised his hand, curled into a shaka sign, and waved it at Kit before jumping out and doing a backflip into the water. He bounced off a pole or some shit, his legs hitting the edge and sending him spinning, and the water bit hard as he landed. By the time he was above the surface, though, his bones had snapped back into place, and he was laughing. “Don’t be a p-ssy!” He laughed and paddled over to Linc’s other side, grabbing his t-shirt as well. “That was fuckin’ sick!” Remzi chuckled the whole way to the ramp thing, and let go of Linc as soon as they were almost completely out of the water.
He walked by Hector, clapping him hard on the shoulder as though the older vampire was one of his good friends, “You do that shit on purpose just so we could jump off? That was awesome!” He laughed loudly again, walking up towards the street in soaking wet clothing, saluting Magnus as he passed. “Brought your son back safe ‘n sound, sir,” He snorted, in good spirits now after that whole experience. Remzi returned to where they’d first gotten on, almost doubling over as he saw Kit Spider-manning his way down. London was so dope.
