til now. It might've been one of the glossier parts of London but Richmond hid a seedy underbelly. Linc grew up in it, the son of two partying parents. Neglected almost from day 1 by them he spent much of the first decade of his life being looked after by an elderly neighbour. When her mind started failing her he tried to hold on to some semblance of that life by spending as much time as he could in the home they put her in but with Mrs. Graham's death Linc was at a loose end. His parents began to drag him to the club with them, leaving him in the hands of the owner after the first night Linc spent crouched in a corner. For four years Wesley seemed like a decent man but a late night wander revealed the man as a vampire, one who slaughtered both his parents when they stopped bringing him in enough walking blood bags. With their parents death Wesley took Linc under his wing instead, promising him eternal life but really it was seven years of playing lure and jailer for the blood soaked parties Wesley would throw. When four vampires drained Linc at a party Wesley didn't step in but another vampire did. Trying to save Linc Magnus fed him his blood. Instead of recovering Linc woke in transition, given the choice and staring one of his tormenters in his eye he chose to feed ... but not to struggle with the blood lust the way he is. With Magnus Linc has travelled to Mystic Falls, trying to learn from a man he still begrudges a little for what he's done.
friends. It takes some to get yourself close enough to Linc to have him considering you as a friend. As a kid there were some on the estate he would've considered himself friendly with but that was always more a case of the estate kids being a force against the kids from more well to do families in the area. After a decade caught in the web of Wesley and his people Linc is only just beginning to break out of who he was and reintegrate himself into the world around others.
enemies. Thanks to Magnus most of those Linc despised are now dead. Wesley, the vampire who conned his parents with promises of eternal life topped that list but a sword to the heart put an end to him. Linc tries not to see enemies everywhere he looks but in a town where the supernatural is thick on the ground that air of suspicion constantly lurks for him.
family. Linc's blood family are all dead. He grew up with it just being his dad, Charlie, and his mum, Eden, not that either was much of a parent before Wesley killed them both and tried taking on that surrogate father role. Mrs. Graham was the closest thing Linc had to family outside of them and by the time he was 12 she'd already passed away after a short battle with Alzheimer's. Now Linc has the man who turned him, Magnus, the one who's taken him in as his own having rescued him.
lovers. Love has never really come into it for Linc before. In the massively hedonistic trap of the club in London he ended up sleeping with some girls but it was always just a ruse in the name of getting them hooked for Wesley's parties. Now, with Cassie, Linc's trying to open himself up to another side of things but still carrying the scars of what's happened and the hunger that's burning in him he's more than a little horse shy.
