Babysitting her asshole of a coworker wasn’t exactly on Iris’ list of duties for her new job, but when you’re hungry to make the jump from admin to reporter, you’ll do just about anything.
Iris’ history prior to being employed at the Mystic Daily is entirely up to the player. She can be a local, or a newcomer, like JJ himself. The big factor is her ending up working at the Daily now. The species is flexible and so is the age to a point (its gonna take some maturity to deal with this man). The face is fixed (I’m an admitted gif ho).
She’s hungry to be a ‘real journalist’, getting to write the stories herself instead of just doing the paperwork around them. Iris is one of those people who can be ultra focused and a real stickler for details. If there’s a rule there she will follow it - especially if it gets her what she wants in life. She’s not a complete hardass though - or entirely immune to JJ’s charms, eventually he will wear her down.
JJ’s history at the Daily is a rocky one and it’s his recent behaviour that has gotten him stuck with a babysitter - which he will absolutely hate. In a misguided attempt to both shield his boss from a decidedly dodgy dude and uncover some major shit in Mystic Falls he wrote a tell all story about GREY MADDOX - that just happened to coincide with some tragic circumstances (talk to ANGE , JODI or JULIA for details). The article was published just as DESTINY BACCARI returned to work and after an unpaid suspension JJ’s been placed under Iris’ watchful eye to make sure he doesn’t try and pull that trick again.
Nobody said anything about the other tricks, though, right? Watching out for JJ is going to prove a full time job. The man will do anything to make it difficult, although what’s better than a good old enemies to lovers trope? Let a man drive you crazy and in the end you’ll snap in the best way.

We’re looking to expand our welcoming staff to include a new administrative assistant! This candidate should be a hardworking individual with strong leadership skills and a drive to succeed.
