Tag: open Words: 353 Notes Riviel wasn't in a good mood since running into his brother who wanted to put salt into his wound. His brother had the cheek to say he was more demonic than angelic. The other angels didn't spend time with since they didn't like his kind very much. So he grew bitter in his personality and realised it was better for him to be alone and not worry about others.
Pain was still new for him to express and get used to. It was hard for him to ironge the beacon at times, but the angel was working on it. The radio had been quiet for days, and he was very curious as to why it was behaving like this. Was there something going on and the angels were keeping it private? Riv has been seen and been involved with so many wars as he was a medic on the field. Riviel was sure he would fight another as he didn't care for it anymore. Half him didn't care for heaven, if it fell then so be it.
Riviel as seen many things and watch many things unfold. But there were some things that still made no sense to him. He saw children laughing as they were on rides, people screaming from other rides and people playing games and eating strange food. Being an angel he didn't need food or water to survive, but some things his vessel still enjoyed to eat so being kind to his only friend, he let him eat the strange food
The angel walked in more and looked around, he was really looking and possibly had some more friends. He would still like to have friends, he wasn't a bad gut at all. The angel tried his hardest to blend in, and act normal too even though it was very difficult at times, as humans walk so differently. Putting his hands by his side closely he started to walk through the cowards and look at the different display showing he was interested and paying attention, even though he really wasn't

━ and you have been DYING ever since. ━ Castiel had heard the news of a carnival coming into town soon ━ within a couple of days, at best ━ and the only thought that roamed his mind was how nice it would be to go there with Jack. He would certainly enjoy it, wouldn't he? That boy was so full of love and curiosity that it made Castiel's heart grow fonder and fonder. Castiel considered him like yet another son of his own. He had a habit of collecting those, it seemed. Castiel felt a small smile touch his lips as his thoughts drifted before his attention was called upon by none other than Jack. He brought up the carnival half-way through their conversation when the topic seemed to drift off into nothingness. Jack eagerly and happily agreed to go with him to the carnival so he could show the young boy what carnivals were like.
Granted, Castiel had never been to one before but from what he had heard, it was filled with many games and many food. He wanted Jack to experience all of those things and so, he had made a promise to take Jack there once the carnival was in town.
Fast forward a few days later, the carnival was very much alive, many people heading in the same direction as them as Jack chatted his ear off but he didn't find it headache-inducing. If anything, he found it very endearing, really. Castiel listened and made commentary every now and then so that Jack wouldn't feel like he was being an inconvenience. Castiel paid for their entry tickets and soon enough, they were inside the carnival, surrounded by games, food, and so on. Castiel could feel Jack's excitement oozing from him as his eyes scanned each and every game with so much curiosity and amazement that it made Castiel's lips stretch into a small smile. Originally, he was going to stay behind and watch Jack play but the young Nephilim had actually managed to convince him to play with him. Though Castiel didn't exactly understand what he was doing and lost fairly quickly. When he glanced at Jack, he saw that he had lost the game too. Castiel's expression turned into a sympathetic one and his lips parted to say something, perhaps to comfort him but Jack's lips split into a grin not long after, excitedly telling him how fun it was, despite the fact that his score was zero, just like Castiel's while the others had more than a hundred. Castiel's lips stretched into a smile as he nodded his head, agreeing with the younger.
Soon enough, they were leaving the game to continue looking around. Castiel then decided to buy the young boy a hot dog since he'd seen many kids eating it. From Jack's expression, he liked the taste quite a lot, despite his sweet tooth always winning most of his cravings. Though it wasn't long before the boy was craving one of the sweet foods and Castiel was more than happy to buy it for him since it apparently had nougat in it which he liked very, very much.
Castiel continued walking with Jack as the young boy looked around for his next game and when he saw a group of kids, around his age, huddled around a game, his attention drifted back to Castiel. He didn't even have to look at the boy to know that he wanted to play with them and so, Castiel gave him a nod of his head, granting him permission to go. "Just be careful, alright? If anything happens━" Jack completed his sentence by telling him that he'll come to him. Castiel's lips stretched into a gentle smile as he watched Jack make his way to the boys. Castiel, in the meantime, stayed back, not doing much other than taking his surroundings in. It was all he could do, really, when he felt so out of place.

The angel was still roaming around the strange place. There was so many emotions it was flooding his mjnd. Children crying, teens screaming and adults doing mixture of both. He never understood what this event suppose to do, was the humans happy or were they sad? It was all too confusing. Riv kept on walking and looking at the strange objects with lights attached to them, again he didn't know why. Then some strange guy came towards him, screaming nonsense at him. Riviel was getting very annoyed and pissed with it, so he glowed his eyes for a second and it freaked the guy out. Riviel didn't care about the guy and kept on walking more.
Walking more the angel was watching some teenagers screaming as the ride started to move, he found it all pathetic and so wanted to smite them so they will shut the fuck up. He didn't look where he was going so naturally he bumped into another person, but he didn't know this person was in fact his angelic brother Castiel. Of course Riviel got mad and was really rude, while he brushed the dirt off himself you need to watch where you going, you idiot
Still he brushed himself down, not knowing who he was talking too, and didn't want to start a fight with at all

━ and you have been DYING ever since. ━ Castiel could sense another angelic being other than his own aura and Jack's. He'd seen the way a human had run off, looking like he'd seen a ghost, talking about how he'd seen some guy's eyes turn into a completely different bright color. Castiel released a sigh into the air, his hands remaining in the pockets of his trench coat. That aura only seemed to get closer and closer.
He didn't have to look very hard for it as the owner of that aura bumped into him while he was standing still. Castiel barely even moved an inch and turned his head to look at his brother, one brow quirked. "I've been standing here for quite some time, brother. I believe if anyone here needs to watch where they're going, it's you." Castiel offered back, his hands still inside the pockets of his coat, not quite offering his hand to help the other up. If anything, the bump shouldn't have faltered him as they were powerful enough to withstand something as simple as a bump but perhaps Riviel was just weaker than all angels.
He seemed to have the mentality of a weak angel, as well. Not to mention his personality didn't match that of an angel. A demon, perhaps. "You're expected to hide what you are from humans, Riviel. For your sake, I hope you don't let me catch you showcasing your powers in front of a human again." In the tone of his voice, there was a warning. It was up to Riviel to heed it. "Such acts are punishable and I have no problem telling Hannah of your actions. So for your sake, be better."

Riviel didn't fall, he was tough and stronger than some of his kin. He fought wars and healed the wounded when they could be saved. He was the angel of mercy. He raised a brow and looked at his brother. He recognised him. It was the famous Castiel, well not famous in the good wores. He was the one of the most wanted angels when he heard, as he kept his radio off for a while now. Of course he wasn't going to admit the whole he knew what he was on about what are you talking about, I didn't show my powers. Why would I unless I was doing healing or a mercy kill. These humans are pathetic. Weakling things, never found out why father adored them so much he said to his brother not caring he liked the news or not
tell hannah what? What did I do? You can't prove it. The stupid human might have scared himself. I heard screaming from others when they went through a dark tunnel he said and looked at him, as he knew there was no evidence anyway I am not going back there. A place where I am feared and hated so much. No thanks, I am having way too much fun down here he grinned.
Riv only met one other angel, Castiel was the second one. He was so in tune with why he was here. Angels didn't do things like this, fun. They were soldiers of God and would fight for the greater good. He also had his own angel blade with him to defend himself if needed. When did you turn into a tall tail anyway? I preferred the old Castiel. He was more fun than this annoying new one he chuckled as he kept watched, as the emotions kept driving him insane

━ and you have been DYING ever since. ━ Castiel's lips parted to let out a soft sigh. If he were a human, he would be sprouting a mean headache by now just from listening to the excuses. He didn't feel like it was necessary to argue with someone so capable of sprouting excuses out of thin air. Castiel was aware of what he'd heard, and he wasn't going to let Rovoel make him doubt himself. "I've been around for many, many years, if you think such foolish excuses could work on me, you're mistaken, brother. I'd suggest lingering around humans that you despise so much, you may pick up their habits and lie to me better." Castiel could easily find the frightened human and easily make him reiterate what he'd just witnessed with his own two eyes.
"You're not feared nor hated, Riviel. To paraphrase a friend, we have bigger fish to fry in Heaven, keeping up with you is sadly not that fish." Castiel offered back, his voice was monotone at best, not showing much change. Same with his expression, it was simply expressionless. "If you think humans are pathetic, then surely you're not having much fun down here, are you?" Castiel's point of view regarding humans changed over the years and now, Castiel wants nothing more than to protect them, despite their many, many flaws.
"Turn into a what?" Castiel questioned, his eyes relaxing on Rivile once again. "I've barely spoken enough words for you to carry that assumption about me, but I believe it's a good thing that I'm no longer my older self because I simply wouldn't have allowed you to speak with me this way. This version of me, however, knows the importance of keeping as many of us alive as possible."

Riviel didn't care that the frightened human ran off knowing what he saw. Who would believe him anyway? There was no way the other humans would believe him, in fact they more likely locked him up or something. Riviel have seen some human taken in cars, with the same Cuffs his kin used when bad, to keep their powers contained. Still he didn't know why his fellow angel was nervous of another angel finding out about them. What if he saw something why you were so worried, who would believe him. He would be considered losing his mind. It made no sense, you worry too much. You have relax and chill a bit, good thing you don't die from being too old he made a small joke being funny, or at least try to
I don't know you are trying to confuse me or to have me have my guard down. But I can tell you now it isn't happening he can be stubborn. But the other angels always treated him like an outcast; he never knew why. Except for Gabriel, he was super cool and funny, but he left heaven a long time ago and he didn't know where he was or look like now they are not after me now, but I was treated like an outcast up in heaven. All because of what type of angel I am, you wouldn't understand
not all humans he bluntly put it as he treated his vessel with care, they had bonded after being together for years. Riviel looked after and cared for him more than his kin, even though he made a small accident and killed a person as he was confused by their pain. He thought the pain meant they were suffering and what he did was mercy killing them, making it as painless as possible for them. I am just getting a headache from the constant pain they are giving me, I don't know the difference between physical and emotional pain his species of angel was a curse for him and he didn't know how much longer he could deal with it. I just want the pain in my head to stop
Seriously, you think the old you would be able to beat me? Since I want to keep my vessel from harm, I don't want to get myself killed. Christopher is my only friend and I treat him like a brother, more than the rest of you he looked at him. He did carry his own blade, but he kept it hidden. I only used it if he needed to as he didn't fancy getting strike with them as it hurt like a son of a bitch. He didn't want to have more pain and have Christopher getting hurt too. How many of us are there? I know few died from the fall, I heard them screaming. But wasn't that your fault? That's the rumours I heard from the angels calling out on radio
honestly I don't care, heaven can fall for all I care. Why should I care about it? he bust out as he kicked some dust wondering what his fellow angel in front of him would do and say next, as he still really curious about him more and how this meeting will go

━ and you have been DYING ever since. ━ Castiel released a soft sigh as if he was dealing with a petulant child. Even dealing with Jack wasn't this difficult and he was a kid in comparison to the angel next to him. Castiel kept his stance relaxed despite the stern tone that he took with the angel. "The world's changing. What once seemed impossible back then, doesn't sound impossible anymore nowadays, especially in a town like this one." Castiel offered back, his eyes focused on Jack, keeping a close eye on him as he played. When he turned to look at Castiel and the angel next to him, there was a confused and concerned look on his face before Castiel offered him a reassuring nod of his head, only then did he lose some of the tension in his shoulders. Castiel brought his attention back to Riviel.
"And why would I ever do that? We have more serious matters at hand here." Castiel didn't explain what those matters were because if Riviel was listening to the angel radio, he'd know already and if he doesn't, then Castiel sees no point in catching him up on what was happening. "You can go back to Heaven or not, what you choose to do is not my concern, brother." Castiel added a moment later. Sure, they were running low on the numbers of angels in Heaven, but he won't drag an unwilling angel to join them. "Wouldn't I?" Castiel questioned with a small sigh falling from his lips not long after. "Heaven is not the way that it used to be. I say that with confidence because a good friend of mine rules Heaven now. She's doing things differently, or else I wouldn't even be here talking to you about Heaven, especially after the unspeakable things I have done to our brothers and sisters. But things are different now. Still, whether you choose to come back or not, it's up to you. I won't force you nor will I ask you to come. It's your decision." Castiel offered back, his voice monotone at best.
"Quick to contradict your words, brother. Was that not what you've just called them?" Castiel questioned with a tilt of his head, his eyes relaxing on Riviel but only briefly before his attention shifted back to watch Jack. "Physical pain is easy enough that Jack understands, brother, and he hasn't been around since creation. But if you are struggling this much, then staying on Earth might not be for you."
"Wouldn't he?" Castiel offered back, his eyes relaxing on Riviel again. "I wasn't going to fight you, brother. I'm not like that anymore." Castiel added a moment later. "Not that many." It made his heart ache to talk about this, but he knew it was too late to change what has happened now. "It was." Castiel offered back. "I only had the best intentions in mind when I started the trials, but it didn't seem to matter in the end."
Castiel's brow quirked at Riviel's words before once again, he released a sigh. "I'm not saying that you should. What you do or feel is none of my business, brother. I just know that Heaven is home to most of us and I wouldn't wish for them to experience the same pain they'd experienced when they fell. That's why we are doing things differently."

Riviel didn't fully trust his brother. He didn't know if there was going to be an ambush after him or not. All he knew there was always a trap, he was around long enough to see it happening in front of him. But it seemed safe for now. He saw another looking at them playing fatherhood Castiel? Or did you do the most forbidden thing and sired a nephilim? he asked him as he was curious, since the boy answered the other angel. Of course Riviel didn't really care, as the rules were stupid and he didn't completely followed them since he came on earth. He connected with his vessel more than his own kin
Heaven never felt home for him. Well except for Gabriel, he used to have good laughs with him. But then he left and there was war, always wars. So he didn't believe that Heaven had changed that much I think one angel could change that. Heaven always had ranks, social groups. I don't even know my kind is still alive he wasn't saying no completely, he just didn't think heaven could ever change I was fed up with the screaming on the radio, so I turned it off. Didn't you hear it? he asked not to know what happened to him, with the whole trial thing. I don't know what I am doing. Maybe I will come back, maybe I won't. Just have to see when I meet this so call leader he looked at brother, with a determination look
What having a good relationship with your vessel is a crime now? Just because I hate some humans doesn't mean I hate my vessel, after all he gave me permission to be down here he quickly reacted, it might have been an over reaction but he didn't really care, he was speaking what was on his mind after everything he had been through. that doesn't matter. You know what species I am right? Pain is a beacon for me and it draws me to the source like a flame. I had to give control back to my vessel as it was annoying and I was concerned about hurting people. It is getting better, my vessel is working with me like a team. He told me a creation person is heartbroken and was very emotional about it. So earth is fine for me currently as I have good teacher the angel wasn't going to tell his brother that he killed two people, in accident from his contusion, and this haven't happened again since
You can't blame me for being on edge though and not trusting, I don't know who is friend or a foe these days he said looking at him, slowly starting to relax and believing him that he was not going to hurt him. Hearing there were only a few of them left he didn't want to believe What the hell happened to us? Did we seriously lose most of us during the fall he heard rumours about a civil war between their kind, but he didn't want to believe that. I had no idea we were that few of numbers Riviel was being more softer in his tone and not being such an ass as he was before, he was sure his brother can tell the difference too
What do you think will happen to us and the souls in heaven, if heaven did fall? he wanted to know, even though he didn't care about it. But the souks there were innocent and didn't need this or whatever tormented them more What changes have you made? What will I expect to see differently if I return back there for a short visit? he asked as he wanted to know what these changes were after all

━ and you have been DYING ever since. ━ Castiel released a sigh at Riviel's words. "Nephilims are no longer viewed as such creatures anymore. He's welcomed in Heaven just as much as the angels are." Castiel offered, his monotone voice making itself known once again. "He's close like a son to me, but we are not related." Castiel added a moment later. Jack's eyes were back on him again, his hearing easily picking up on the conversation, Castiel shook his head to assure him that everything was alright.
Castiel pressed his lips into a thin line, rolling his eyes for a moment before he shook his head. "Whether you think they could or couldn't, it doesn't matter for it's something that's actually happening." Castiel responded as he buried his hands inside the pockets of his trench coat, his eyes fixed ahead once again. "I heard it. I caused those screams, as much as I wanted to turn it all off, I couldn't. It would be selfish and I have been selfish enough to last me eons ahead." Castiel offered back. "Her name is Hannah, not so called leader. But whether you come back or not is up to you. Like I said, it's none of my business."
Castiel released a sigh at Riviel's words before he shook his head. "I've never said that." He offered back. He never said that it was a crime, nor did he say anything about Riviel's vessel because, frankly, it was none of Castiel's business. "Jimmy was a good man. I understand the compassion to build a good relationship with your vessel." Castiel added a moment later. His eyes relaxed on Riviel again, eyeing him. "I see."
"I see." Castiel offered back when Riviel said that he can't tell who is friend or foe these days. "We fell from Heaven. Lost our wings. Lost everything that connected us to Heaven. The ones who had never been down to Earth were forced to accept their new life here. Some did not survive the fall while the others couldn't bear to live here. We lost our home, Riviel. That's what has happened to us." Castiel explained with a sigh falling from his lips as his eyes relaxed ahead of him again. "Yes. We seriously did." Castiel added a moment later. "Of course you had no idea, you turned our only means of communication off, Riviel."
"I hope for our sakes that we never have to experience that." Castiel replied. "Come and see for yourself. I doubt that talking about the changes will make you change your mind, either way." Castiel turned to look at Riviel once more. "Everything has changed, Riviel. That's what you should expect to see differently if you return whether for a short stay or long one." Castiel replied back. "I won't be able to give you detailed tour as I have much more important matters to attend to, but I'm sure you will navigate fine on your own."
"Now if you'll excuse me, Jack's done with his game. Farewell, Riviel."

Riviel was impressed that the other angels accepted a nephilim and was a little jealous when they refused to accept him. But he was over that now, and decided that he didn't fully care about it I am pleased to hear that Heaven is changing about the nephilim and he isn't going to be hurt he wasn't being funny, it was him being seriously happy about it. He never understood why that wasn't allowed, didn't their father want them to love another. He didn't or wanted to understand about that situation
Like you said brother you didn't know the spell was going to cast all out from heaven. I had to put down so many angels from that fall. I had to turn off the radio as I couldn't deal with the pain anymore, it was really hurting me he said to his brother. Riviel wanted to show he didn't really blame him, he never fell as he was on earth way before it happened I don't remember Hannah, I don't think I even saw her. So she is leading heaven now? Well good luck to her he didn't know what to think, but he was beginning to get curious about these changes, but he needed to discuss it with his vessel first to see he was ok with it first.
How can an angel lose their home? I thought that was impossible he didn't understand that I had to turn off the communication, the screaming and all of the pain was giving me a massive headache. What you get is ten times worse for me he felt he curse most of the times, but he wasn't to mention the two people he killed as he got their pains mixed up, and he thought he was saving them and helping them to passed peacefully I had no idea that we more broken and there not many of us left
Riviel was curious on seeing this leader and looked at what heaven was like. He wanted to believe his brother, even though he was worried it was a trap and they would lock him up. maybe I will check out these changes. It's not a trick right? Is it not going to be an ambush? he asked his brother. Seeing his brother was going to leave he nodded until we meet again brother he nodded his head as respect and headed towards the entrance to leave and think about what he going to do after hearing about the changes made in heaven
