Who’d have thought his best employee was going to be a werewolf? Meanwhile, downstairs in the bar, he had two baby vampires and a ruthless demon to keep an eye on. At least they weren’t bringing him the problems his crew from the sea brought. Draining every human within a 100-mile radius, forcing them to leave or attracting the attention of hunters. Hector had never considered hunters actually existed, especially not born ones that carry the curse if you were to snap their necks. He learnt the hard way by killing one and having to endure the mental torture thereafter. Lincoln’s witchy girlfriend had offered Hector a lifeline though. All customers were given a code to access the bar to keep careless humans from stumbling into the bar by accident. Accompanied by a vampire was a different ballgame. Even if there were hunters in the town they were doing an awful job of keeping the locals safe. Mystic Falls was crawling with the dead, more than what he was expecting when he arrived. Their population had really grown over the past few centuries compared to when he turned. Back then he could travel for decades without crossing paths with another vampire, which is why he stuck with the Strix’s once he found them. They didn’t exactly welcome him with open arms though, having to prove himself as a member. By then their views were somewhat skewered, but he was happy to go along with it. Hector sat on a stool at the end of the bar, a glass of wine in front of him as he watched the customers. Eyes scoping for any sign of trouble, but the bar was relatively calm. Most customers were chatting between themselves as the quiet sound of jazz music travelled through the place. Then he heard a thud mixed in with the music. The type that came from a dead body hitting the floor with weight. It wasn’t long before he spotted where the sound had come from. A redhead with a human dead at her feet. She was a fresh face in the bar. Hector held the glass of wine in his right hand, watching the redhead carefully. He straightened up a little when he noticed she was walking away from her victim. Heading for the door, leaving what she had started on the floor. On his floor. He was quick to place the glass down and was in front of the other vampire in a blur. “You need to take the human with you… perhaps you missed the signs” The rules ( his rules) were pretty clear. He gestured to one of the signs on the wall, which read “Dispose of your dead humans” It was just one of many he had put up around the bar, “You can take the fire exit out” The only level of assistance he was willing to provide to his customers and their victims. THIS IS MY WORLD (WITH HECTOR DACRE)
Exclusive vampire club that you needed a pin to get in? No problem. All it took was a few bats of her eyes and a pout of her lips and she was the proud owner of some poor sucker's golden ticket. He made her promise not to share it. That was no problem what so ever. She only wanted it to further her purposes. She didn't share well.
She had come to explore and see what Mystic Falls had to offer its vampire community. Which meant she was going to have the full experience. She let the atmosphere of the club settle over her and soak into her bones. She could actually enjoy a place like this, she realized and thank the higher powers for that. Thus far, she had been thoroughly unimpressed with this middle of nowhere town. She was pleased to discover it had layers.
Her chosen companion for the night had no idea what his outcome would be but she didn't leave him in suspense for long. Wholly influenced by her surroundings, she drained him and it wasn't until he hit the floor with a thud that she actually thought of something besides the blood. She thought of Iain and just how disappointed he would be in here. She curled up her nose at the intrusive thoughts, hating how they interfered with her buzz. She was about ready to just leave the whole scene behind and outrun that uncomfortable feeling when someone placed themselves directly in her path.
Rose's first response was instinctual. She pulled herself to her full height, eyes blazing, figuring she was about to get into a fight. But then she soon realized her faux pas. She glanced back at her companion and sighed. Then she was using her foot to shove him to the side for now, before turning back to the supposed man in charge.
"I'll take him when I am ready to go," she began, and her features finally softened into something more neutral. She even managed a smile. "But I've decided I'd like a drink --- something to wash his taste out of my mouth. He wasn't what I thought he would be."

Hector liked people to follow his rules, in his club, despite the fact he never followed them out there in the big wide world. If he was a customer in this bar he would have been leaving his victim on the floor to bleed out, making it someone else's problem. There had been various taverns up and down the coast of Europe which tried to enforce rules on Hector and his crew back in the day, each of them failed. Miserably. His crew were loyal to him, not some simple tavern owner who wanted peace in his establishment. If he and his crew wanted to shed blood and bring a bit of violence about, they would. He tolerated violence in the bar, to an extent. He didn’t want to find himself breaking up a fight between two baby vampires though or even worse between two ancient vampires. Hector had been on a sharp look out for the ancient ones who turned the bar into a bloodbath last year, leaving Lincoln and Lawrence to deal with the dead. By dealing with the dead, he meant leaving them on the floor for Hector to find the following morning. Now there was another vampire in the bar, willing to leave a body in a heap. So quick to feed, but never linger around to deal with the aftermath. Out there, on the streets, he would do such a thing, but not here where eyes were watching his club at all hours. Dark eyes watched as the redhead pulled herself upright, though Hector was still towering over her, looking down at her. Perhaps ready for a fight, which had his muscles twitching. He followed her gaze down to the human on the floor. Dead, gone. His gaze then lifted, scanning the bar, waiting for a reaper to show up. Lord help them if they teleported in and didn’t use the door as told. The vampire wasn’t fighting him on this, announcing she wasn’t ready to leave yet. “Not the O positive you were hoping for?” He quipped, glancing down at the victim one last time. “Please. Join me for a drink. I have enough spirits behind the bar to burn the taste away” Hector nodded towards the bar, waiting for the redhead to move. ROSE DAVENPORT

THIS IS MY WORLD (WITH HECTOR DACRE)
If he was going to give her a problem, it wouldn't be right away. It seemed the promise of money solved everything. Rose had learned that lesson long before she had become a vampire. Coddled by parents who paid her way from birth until she left her father bleeding out on the floor, she had always known the value of a dollar. Which was why she was willing to spend it in a place like this.
She left her kill where he was, trusting that he was out of the way of most of the activity in this place. She would have to retrieve him before she left, a prospect that made her want to turn her nose up but she would play along for the time being. No sense in rocking the boat until she fully understood the lay of the land.
"Thank you," she purred, her smile a tad flirtatious. She couldn't help herself. Sex --- another commodity that she had learned the importance of (no doubt well before she should have). She moved to have a seat at the bar, crossing one leg over the other. "He tasted boring. I should have known, given his attire. Frumpy suit...probably has a widow at home right now. Should I send flowers?" There was a hint of laughter in her voice. She might not have enjoyed the taste of the man but she did enjoy the spot of chaos his death might unleash. Some would call her cruel but she would simply say that she was embracing who she was.
(Iain, Iain would call her cruel if he could see her now)
She extended a hand for him to take. "Rose," she simply said. "Forgive me for overstepping. I hadn't realized there would be such an established place for people like myself in this nothing of a town. One has to wonder why here?" She supposed the man in front of her could answer such a question.

You couldn’t blame him for being so highly strung at the moment. Every single time he sat down and thought everything was in order something would blow up at the club. As though he was doomed to never know a moment's peace thanks to owning the club. Maybe he was getting old, in the sense, he was craving a quiet life. Oh dear, maybe he was turning into Magnus. Next minute he’d be looking for a baby vampire to adopt and look after. He’d already offered that to Lana before she turned on him. The truth was he liked chaos, but only chaos that he created. A situation that he was in control of from the outset with an ending he could predict. Even though he pretended it didn’t, the detective coming to the bar ruffled his feathers a little. He wasn’t expecting law enforcement to be tapping at his door so soon, but there was nothing to be found downstairs. A thank you owed to Lincoln’s witchy girlfriend, though her face flushed bright red when Hector mentioned the word girlfriend. Hector made his way to the bar, the redhead following. He cast a glance over to the deceased male before looking back at the other vampire. “Maybe a card and some chocolate should suffice” He retorted with a small smile, “The suit he is wearing does look a little cheap” Probably from one of those department stores, where you pick something up off the hanger and hope for the best. Hector preferred his suits to be tailored made, even choosing the fabric and lining. Mirroring the female he extended his hand giving her a firm handshake. “Hector” She asked the question plenty had asked before. Why Mystic Falls? “For starters, the very first vampires of the world were created here over a thousand years ago. So the place holds a lot of history” He’d heard the story more than once throughout his life, including from Elijah himself. “So many vampires pass through this town. A number of them choose to stay, including myself” Lawrence appeared in the corner of his eye, causing Hector to divert his attention away for a moment, “Can you get this lovely lady drink” He was quick to turn his attention back to Rose, “Forgive me for being abrupt earlier, but I cannot have hunters descending on this place” It wasn’t the police he was worried about. THIS IS MY WORLD (WITH HECTOR DACRE)
Ah! Thankfully he had a sense of humor. Rose would have been disappointed if she had just married herself to the idea of having a drink or two with someone who couldn't even laugh at the absurdity of a dead body laying near by. She gave him an amused smile. "Duly noted. I will get right on that," she stated. Both knew she would nothing of the sorts. If the man did have someone waiting at home for him, he or she might be waiting awhile. After she left this place for the night, Rose was going to make sure that he wasn't found until there was nothing left but bones. She might be rubbish at ensuring one of her swipe and wipe feeds didn't accidentally die later on but she was damn good at hiding a body.
"Now you --- you look like you know what a tailor does and appreciates it." He would have to have money if she was going to run a place like this. She had quickly learned in her early years as a vampire that money was a must. She had her own stash, quietly tucked away in case she needed to disappear.
(which after she was done with this town she just might need to)
"Hector," she repeated as she fully settled herself at the bar. It was a good thing she had done so too because what he said next certainly had her going for a bit of a loop. "I am sorry --- did you say the first of the vampires?" She made a face, clearly interested in hearing more. "Forgive me for sounding incredulous but I was not given the pamphlet when I was turned." Which was the best she could do in joking about her forced turning. "And clearly there are no history of vampire classes available."
She was starting to look at Mystic Falls in a whole new light. She ordered her drink and then looked back at him with a smile. "Trust me, the last thing I want to come face to face with a hunter. Far more trouble than they are worth --- and I have enough on my plate. I blame my misstep on the fact that it has been so long since I have been in a place with as many like individuals as I am here. I simply got caught up in the atmosphere."

He was hardly going to bat an eyelid at the human on the floor and he certainly wasn't going to show an ounce of sympathy for the deceased. That ship had sailed centuries ago, realizing humans were just food. Hector didn’t go about slaughtering them, but he didn’t give much thought to their existence. It was easy for him to forget he was one once. Those days had faded by now, leaving him wondering how it even felt to be human in the first place. Hector smiled at her compliment, “I do appreciate a good suit” Along with all the other finer things in life. If he was going to exist until the end of time he might as well do it in a nice apartment flooded with expensive things. Living by the classic saying you can’t take it with you when you die. His dad was a prime example of that. Surrounded by wealth, but in the end, it ended up going nowhere. A wife who was dead and a son who was presumed to be dead. As predicted, she was a new vampire. Interest sparked in her when he mentioned the original family. He was just hoping she wasn’t like Lana the train wreck, who couldn’t keep anything under control. Rose didn’t come across as that new though. A woman with a bit of self-control. “The Mikaelson family. They are the first vampires to ever exist, created by some kind of dark magic” He settled back into his chair, resting on the bar. “Most of them still live here, but a word of advice, don’t cross them. Any of them” Granted, Hector walked around Mystic Falls like he was untouchable, but he wasn’t stupid. He didn’t even know of the family until he joined The Strix and met Elijah. “If you have any questions, please fire away. I consider myself to be quite the expert” Seven hundred years and still standing. Hector picked his drink up, taking a small sip. “I did the same thing when I arrived, but I believe there are a few hunters in town. Although they could just be those homemade hunters who pick up a crossbow one day and reckon they’re gonna save the world” When he spoke of hunters, he meant the real ones. The ones who were considered to be supernatural. ROSE DAVENPORT

THIS IS MY WORLD (WITH HECTOR DACRE)
"And it certainly appreciates you right back," she pointed out with a smile. Maybe she was laying it on a little extra thick since she had stepped wrong in the first place. Maybe she just liked to say things to get reactions out of people. Her barometer for such things had been broken from the moment she turned. She could never really pinpoint what drove her to do what she did.
Well, except when she was with Iain. He had forced her to slow down and think.
The jury was still out on whether or not she had enjoyed that.
Rose raised both her eyebrows as Hector explained to the origins of the vampires. "I have heard the name Mikaelson before. Klaus Mikaelson. I thought he was the vampire version of the boogeyman." In her travels across Europe it was hard not to pick up on whispers here and there. She leaned forward, her chin coming to rest on her palm as she considered the reality of what he had told her. "So vampires have only existed for over a 1000 years. Old yet somehow not. I certainly won't be doing anything to cross the Mikaelson family. My business here is just that --- business. Once it is taken care of, I will be on my way." That was hope. She needed to take care of her wayward child and then she was free to move on to bigger and better things.
(free to go home)
"I suppose with this many vampires in once place there is bound to be a few foolish humans who think they can take care of us. I will keep an eye out for them as well," she told him. She had no desire to have someone attempt to stake her. She mostly meant to mind her own business. But now that she had someone there willing to answer questions, she couldn't help but think of one or two. "Are you an expert in all things vampire or all things vampire in Mystic Falls?"

If his father was sitting at the bar no doubt he would be wearing a suit just as fancy as Hector’s. Probably more expensive too just to show the people his wealth. It was something that was warranted in the 12th century, but not so much now. People didn’t like it when others flashed their cash, wore expensive watches or drove around in sports cars. He glanced over at Rose for a moment, a slight smile on his face. She was flirty too, possibly trying to apologise for breaking his rules. Hector was happy to sit back and absorb the compliments. Anything to stroke his ego, even if it was only for an hour or so. Klaus Mikaelson. Hector had heard hundreds of stories about him over the years. All the same. A man who was ruthless and to be avoided, unless you wanted your head on a stick. Stories of his siblings followed suit too. “Oh no, he’s very much real and not to be messed with.” The original family was about the only vampires who Hector had an ounce of fear for. Something he kept to himself though, not wanting to ruin the image he’d built for himself. The fearless vampire bowed to no one. It was part of the reason he was keen to keep the family out of the bar too. If they stepped foot inside and started dropping bodies, Hector would be powerless. “Business?” He asked, eyeing Rose as he did so. Hopefully, it was personal business rather than opening up another bar in Mystic Falls. He’d already spotted the poker bar which was opening up nearby. Nonetheless, he loved a bit of healthy competition, so long as he came out on top. “Both.” He replied confidently, with a nod, “I’ve been in Mystic Falls just over a year now. I know this place like the back of my hand.” He knew every single street in town, including the surrounding areas. “And I’ve been a vampire for over seven hundred and fifty years.” Armed with the knowledge he’d collected over the years, most of which his sire told him after he turned. THIS IS MY WORLD (WITH HECTOR DACRE)
He could be a good source of information and thankfully he was willing to give her a second chance after her faux pas. She figured would make friends even if her visit was designed to be short. Who knew? Maybe she would find a reason to be here once again down and the road and seeing a familiar (and friendly) face behind the bar could be helpful.
So she continued to smile.
Rose nodded her head. "Very real. I wonder if all the stories about him are true. They can't be. People tend to embellish, change details for their own purposes. Not that I am itching to find out what is fact and what is fiction. Like I said, it's strictly business here." She debated on what she was going to tell him that business was. Maybe a few half truths. That way she didn't have a lie to remember.
"I made my first vampire, which I guess is a momentous event --- but now he's a little...well, out of control. I am just here to make sure he doesn't do anything too drastic and get himself killed. You know how it is --- gotta keep an eye on the kids," she joked with a shrug of her shoulders. She had no idea if Hector had actually turned anyone himself. She also had no idea if one should actually care about the ones you did turn. Her so called sire certainly hadn't. Part of her was glad that she would never see his face again while another part of her wanted nothing more than to confront the bastard.
"Okay, so you've been here awhile --- can you tell me what the draw is? Because so far, I see a tiny town in the middle of nowhere..." She then raised both her eyebrows. "Well, let me tell you that you look good for your age. I guess I am still a baby by comparison. I just cracked 50 a few years ago."

Children had always been fed horror stories, even dating back to when Hector was a child. These things that lurked out there were never given a name though. Just monsters that lived outside the village. It was something to scare the children into eating their dinner, but he soon found that these things weren’t just looming outside the village, they also lived within the walls. Nicholas. Hector soon found out that some vampires were just humans that had been given no choice but to drink a vampire’s blood. He was given a choice, but he’d never been one to believe the hocus pocus stories that were told to him. He didn’t believe Nicholas when he told Hector he would come back to life as a vampire, but death was on his way to collect Hector so there was nothing to lose. The chances of some of the stories about Klaus had been exaggerated over time, but most of them had some truth to them. Many stories of Hector snowballed during his time as a pirate, although he never jumped to correct those who feared him for something that didn’t happen. Klaus probably did the same. “Maybe, but it’s a theory I wouldn’t like to test… I’ve been told he has a bite that can kill a vampire, but then again a theory I wouldn’t like to test.” He flashed Rose a grin before taking a sip of his drink. It was just another reason he wanted to keep the Mikaelsons out of the bar. Hector glanced over at Rose as she told him about a vampire she’d created. “Just let him run wild and get himself killed… is he here? In Mystic Falls? Out of control vampires are not well liked here by everyone. They bring too much attention to a small town.” If the newbie didn’t get himself killed soon Hector would happily do the job. One less thing to worry about. He set his glass back down on the bar as he pondered for a moment. Realistically the town had no perks. “I came here to see why everyone was always talking about the famous Mystic Falls but then saw a business opportunity arise.” He raised his right hand as if he was presenting the bar itself, “Once you find your feet in this town it’s not all that bad.” He let out a chuckle at Rose’s comment, “One minute you're fifty next minute you’re seven hundred and fifty.”ROSE DAVENPORT - wrap up with yours?
