━ living with IDENTITIES that do not belong to ME━
RAVEN WAS ONCE SOMETHING THAT HUMANS FEARED, she was a menace that thrived off chaos and pain, just like any other demon, really. She was no different, if not a little more unhinged. She loved seeing fear in humans' eyes as she terrorized them after revealing just what she was. She loved doing whatever the hell she wanted, no rules and no consequences. But now...
Things were different.
She was different and she hated it. She hated absolutely every second of it. It all started when she was grabbed along with Talia by those masked freaks who experimented on the both of them and ever since, Raven has been feeling things and while you might act like that's completely normal because who doesn't feel things, she will take a moment to remind you that she's a fucking demon and that feelings should not exist whatsoever. Feelings make you weak and when you feel weak, bad fucking shit happens to everyone around you, including yourself.
Raven hated feeling human again because nothing good ever came along with that bullshit. But there was nothing that Raven could do, really. She can't reverse the experiment and she can't turn herself into something a little more demonic once again. It's not like she can die, go back to hell, get tortured again, and then resurface once those feelings are gone. It doesn't really work that way and honestly? Dying really sucks.
So, she decided to be a big girl and suck it up instead of whining and complaining about it every chance that she got. During her little walk in town, she discovered that there was a party happening tonight at the Grill. A blacklight party, or so they called it. So, being her usual self, she went back home (it was a fancy little apartment that she manipulated the previous owner into giving it to her, sue her) and took the time to get dressed. She wasn't one to skip out on an opportunity to show off her exquisite wardrobe, after all.
Raven finished dressing up about an hour later, her honey blonde colored hair falling over her shoulders as she lifted a hand to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear before she began heading to the door with a lil pep in her step because for once she was excited about something that wasn't killing.
Shocking, right?
Raven entered the Grill, her eyes taking in her surroundings before she headed over to where the wristbands were and picked out the red one to slap onto her wrist, a coy little smile appearing on her lips as she visioned Talia right by her side and it was something that made her grin quite broadly. But alas, she busied herself with making her way over to where the bar was and ordered herself a couple of drinks until she felt a familiar buzz under her skin which she welcomed with open arms as she hopped off her seat and began making her way to the dance floor where she danced, danced, and danced until there was sweat on the back of her neck, making her hair cling unpleasantly to her skin.
Raven was having a lot of fun, actually. She can't remember when was the last time she felt this alive and it was something that she liked quite a lot, actually. She headed back to the bar to order more drinks and rather than heading back to the dance floor, she remained at the bar, perching herself on the stool with her legs propped on the bar, humming a song under her breath. "Do you humans always have this much fun? Cause y'know, I could definitely get used to this." She asked the person sitting on her left. "Don't get me wrong, being a demon is a lotta fun but... I dunno, it's not the same, I guess. Unless I'm gutting someone open then hehe, yeah, that's more fun than dancing and drinking but oddly enough, I haven't gutted anyone in a while." Raven's brows furrowed together in a small frown at the realization. "The thought makes me feel ... bad because I don't wanna hurt humans anymore. If anything, I wanna be their friend. Do you wanna be my friend? Spoiler alert, you can't say no." Raven's lips stretched to form a grin as she waved the bartender over. "Hey, uh..." Raven squinted at the name tag on the bartender's shirt. "H...arold. A drink for my friend here! I just made a new friend! See? We're besties now. Make 'em a drink, on me. Put it on my, uh... Tablet? Table... Tab! Put it on my tab, if I even have one."
