Coven Claim
This is a list of the covens we have on the site at the moment. Traditionally covens were made up of thirteen witches or warlocks in total and consisted of one Elder and twelve witches or warlocks however for the purposes of our site, there is no limit on the amount of witches or warlocks that can belong to one coven and there can be more than one Elder.
An Elder is a senior member of authority among the magical community and is the leader of their respective coven. The Elder is responsible for dealing with the problems of their coven and for imparting their magical knowledge to the other members of their coven and is usually either the person who started the coven or someone elected by the other members.

Mikaelson Coven This is the coven that Henrik didn't mean to start and is the first coven that was started in Mystic Falls. Having always enjoyed passing his knowledge of magic on to other witches and warlocks, this group started to band together so they can protect Mystic Falls as well as the people they love most. They freely share their knowledge of the supernatural with each other and help others wherever they can. This coven has the ability to bring people back from the dead.

Carmello Coven Formerly a member of her grandmother's coven - the Meraviglia coven of New York - Mab began to build her own coven when she came to Mystic Falls. Focused on freeing and killing Enzo St. John from the Augustine society this coven is being formed of the waifs and strays of the town's witches and warlocks. Joining comes with the promise of being taught powerful magic, such as raising souls from the dead - if vengeance can be gotten against the vampire that wronged Mab's grandmother.
