━ the heart wants what it wants━
I’m lucky to have you in my life,
Hope felt a soft smile appear on her lips at Josie's words. "Me too, Jo. I'm really lucky to have you in my life, too." She said in a soft voice, meaning every word of it. She didn't even want to imagine what her life would have been like without Josie in it. Hope never really took the twins' presence in her life for granted and she knew that there's no way in hell she's going to start now.
It does, I didn’t realise how hot it got in there, I can’t either, it feels like a dream, That’s all I’ve ever wanted, I really like you too, I have for a long time, I thought about this happening so many times but I never believed it actually would.
Hope found herself nodding in agreement with Josie. It got crowded and a little too warm in there, so she was more than happy to get out of there with Josie. Now, it was just them and the cooling breeze that felt amazing on Hope's heated face. Though she wasn't so sure whether that flush was there because of how warm it was in there, or because of what had happened between her and Josie. She had no doubt that it was a mixture of both. A soft smile formed on her lips when Josie told her that it felt like a dream for her, too. She was glad that she wasn't the only one who felt that way. She gave Josie's hand a gentle squeeze as if to assure her that it wasn't a dream. She was really here with her. "Me too, Josie." She was really happy because for once, she had what she wanted. For once, she felt like she was winning in life.
"If I'm being honest, I imagine it a few times myself, even dreamed about it." She was amazed at how long they had pined for each other for, it almost made her laugh. Almost. "I just couldn't imagine myself being with anybody else, honestly." Hope said with a soft smile tugging at the corner of her lips. "It was always you." She gave Josie's hand a gentle squeeze before her attention moved back to where they were headed. "Do you wanna grab a milkshake to celebrate this wonderful moment?" Hope questioned with a grin tugging at her lips. "Or would you like something else?"

Josie couldn’t believe that any of this was happening. She and Hope had decided to go to the party so that they could hang out and have some fun together but performing the way she had done in front of everyone was enough to make her feel like she was in a whole new world. It had given her the confidence to finally come clean to Hope about how she felt and even though she had known that she could end up ruining their friendship altogether she knew that she would have regretted it if she hadn’t said something. She really did like Hope and while it was true that she’d resigned herself to the fact that the girl would never be anything more than her best friend she couldn’t deny that it felt good to know that she had been wrong about that. As Hope said she was lucky to have her in her life too, Josie felt a smile form on her face. She knew that siphoners weren’t common and they were often looked down on by witches and warlocks who had their own magic but Hope had never made her feel that way. The girl had accepted everything about her and she had done the same for Hope. They had always made a good team but now they were so much more than that and she knew that she wouldn’t have it any other way. Josie would be lying if she said that it wasn’t a relief to make it outside, it really was hot inside the Grill and even though they’d been having fun she had to admit that the idea of having some alone time with Hope was what she wanted more than anything right now. “I can’t believe we both wanted the same thing but we were too afraid to say anything,” she admitted. It seemed silly now but the truth was that Hope meant far too much to her for her to ever want to lose her. “Same here. I’ve liked other people before but never this much. Whenever I’ve thought about being with someone I only ever wanted that person to be you. I was so jealous when you said that you liked someone,” she said, feeling her cheeks flush red as she realised just how foolish she had been for feeling that way now. “I’m so glad we’re doing this.” She had figured out a while ago that she liked both boys and girls but even so actually being in a relationship was something new to her. She hadn’t even been on a date before but she was looking forward to figuring all of that out with Hope. Feeling a smile touch her lips as Hope gave her hand a gentle squeeze, she thought about it for a moment as Hope asked if she wanted to grab a milkshake or something else. “A milkshake would be perfect,” she admitted. “I don’t know about you but I’m a little hungry as well so how about some cake too?”HOPE MIKAELSON

━ the heart wants what it wants━
I can’t believe we both wanted the same thing but we were too afraid to say anything, Same here. I’ve liked other people before but never this much. Whenever I’ve thought about being with someone I only ever wanted that person to be you. I was so jealous when you said that you liked someone,
Hope chuckled at that, nodding her head a few times. "Yeah, exactly. We were both so worried about losing each other but I guess this serves as a lesson, right? Don't hide your feelings and be honest." Hope shrugged her shoulders, her eyes settling on Josie once again, watching her with a half-smile on her lips once her grin had worn off. "You have no idea how much I wanted to tell you in that moment that the person I liked was you. I was just really ... worried, I guess." Hope admitted. "But if I'm being one hundred percent honest with you, I felt really jealous, too." Hope liked being honest with Josie like this. It surely made her feel like they were evolving quite a bit. No secrets.
I’m so glad we’re doing this. A milkshake would be perfect, I don’t know about you but I’m a little hungry as well so how about some cake too?
"Me too, Jo." Hope's lips stretched to form a soft smile. When Josie agreed to grab a milkshake, Hope nodded her head a few times. "So, does this count as our first date, too?" Hope questioned with a grin on her lips, though she couldn't deny the fact that she was blushing a little bit, too. "I like your way of thinking. I could definitely eat a cake, too." She was a bit hungry herself, so she knew that eating a cake would definitely help with that. She began guiding them to a little shop that sold primarily milkshakes and cakes, all different flavors and so on. It was by far her favorite shop in town, next to the Grill. Hope held the door open for her girlfriend and waited for her to get in first before she closed the door behind them. She took a quite look around the small shop to see if there were any free tables before she gestured to the one on the left side of the shop. "We can sit there." Hope made her way over to Josie's seat so she could push it back and once she sat down, Hope made her way over to her own seat, crossing her legs under thee table. A waitress with pink hair soon made her way over with a pastel colored menus in her hand. She welcomed them and placed the menus on the table in front of each one of them. Hope sent her a quick smile as a sign of gratitude before she began flipping through the menu.
"I think I'm gonna have the strawberry and banana milkshake." Hope pointed at the one she wanted. "We could have a Red Velvet cake, if you want?"

“Definitely. I won’t make that mistake with you again,” Josie laughed. She had always been able to talk to Hope about anything but the truth was that when it had come to telling the other girl how she felt then she had really struggled. She had felt certain that Hope was into someone else and that had hurt more than Josie had cared to admit but she had always wanted nothing more than for the other girl to be happy so she had known that she would just have to grin and bear it. As it turned out Hope felt the same way about her so she needn’t have worried after all but it had taken the adrenaline from her performance at the Grill that evening to give Josie the courage to do something about those feelings. “We’re really bad at this,” Josie said, a small smile forming on her face as Hope said that she had felt jealous too. “You don’t need to feel jealous. I’ve tried to make myself move on from you and like other people but I just can’t do it. It’s always you,” she said gently, unable to deny that it felt good to get that off her chest. Hope had worked her way inside her heart and no matter how much Josie had tried to tell herself that it wasn’t going to happen so she should move on with her life she just hadn’t been able to do so. It felt a little surreal to think that just an hour ago she had felt certain that Hope was into someone else and now here they were but Josie knew that she wouldn’t have it any other way. As Hope asked if this counted as their first date, Josie felt her cheeks flush red. “I think an official date usually requires some planning in advance but we can make an exception,” she said, giving Hope’s hand a gentle squeeze as she did so. “We did plan on going to the party together so that’s close enough,” she added. The night had definitely taken a turn that she hadn’t expected but she couldn’t deny that she was glad that it had done. Thanking Hope as she held the door open for her, Josie nodded as Hope pointed out an empty table. “That’s perfect,” she nodded before feeling her eyes widen slightly as Hope pulled out her chair for her. “Thank you,” she said, a little taken aback since no one had ever done that for her before. Then again she had never been on a date before but she still knew that Hope was one of a kind. Taking her seat, Josie offered the waitress a smile as she handed them the menus before glancing over the items on offer. “You know red velvet is my favourite,” she grinned. “We’ll definitely have to go for that and I think I’ll go for the mango and passionfruit milkshake,” she said, offering the waitress another smile as she jotted down their orders before leaving them alone. “So has any of this sunk in yet?” she asked, not sure whether Hope’s head was spinning as much as hers was at the moment. Definitely. I won’t make that mistake with you again, We’re really bad at this, You don’t need to feel jealous. I’ve tried to make myself move on from you and like other people but I just can’t do it. It’s always you,
Hope's lips stretched to form a soft smile at Josie's words, before she nodded her head slowly in a silent promise that she won't make that same mistake with her, either. She knows better now. "Yeah, we are." Hope couldn't help but chuckle at her words as she immediately nodded her head in agreement with Josie. Her eyes softened at Josie's words as her heart skipped a beat, feeling beyond affected by her words. God. She's going to be the death of me. "It's always been you, too." Hope admitted in a soft voice. "Always." She repeated gently.
I think an official date usually requires some planning in advance but we can make an exception, We did plan on going to the party together so that’s close enough, That’s perfect, Thank you,
"Yeah, you're right about that. We're doing things our own way, it seems." Hope said with a half-smile forming on her lips. "That's true." The young Mikaelson nodded her head a few times. When Josie thanked her for pulling the chair for her, she only shrugged her shoulders with a soft smile forming on her lips. "You're welcome," she sat down shortly after, feeling quite amazed by all of this. I'm on a date with Josie. Am I dreaming? No, it doesn't feel like a dream. Oh, god. I hope I don't mess this up. Hope on the outside seemed calm and collected, but on the inside, it was a whole mess in there.
You know red velvet is my favourite, We’ll definitely have to go for that and I think I’ll go for the mango and passionfruit milkshake, So has any of this sunk in yet?
"I do." Hope said with a grin locked on her lips. "Alrighty, red velvet it is." She hummed when Josie picked her milkshake. "Oh my, that sounds like it's going to be absolutely delicious." Hope approved with a soft smile forming on her lips and when Josie's next question came through, she took in a deep breath and looked at her girlfriend with a softened gaze. "It's starting to. What about you? Has any of this sunk in yet?" Hope questioned as she placed her chin on the palm of her hand, her elbow propped on the table.

Josie couldn’t shake the feeling that all of this was going to turn out to be a dream but if it did then she knew that she wanted to say everything that she had been holding back for so long while she still had the chance. She had liked Hope for as long as she could remember and she really had tried to move on from her since she had felt certain that the other girl would never feel the same way about her but she just couldn’t manage it. The girl had been her best friend for such a long time and Josie had never thought that Hope would feel the same way about her but now she knew she did, she wanted to enjoy every moment they had together. “Please tell me we’re not two of those people who have been oblivious about how the other feels while everyone around them knew it all along at least,” Josie laughed. If she was honest she wouldn’t be surprised at all if they were those people, there had been signs there that Hope liked her in the way the other girl had looked at her but Josie hadn’t been able to bring herself to believe that they were anything more than her imagination because she had been worried about ruining their friendship. Hearing Hope say that it had always been her as well was enough to make Josie’s heart skip a beat. “Really?” she asked, unable to believe that Hope had felt the same way all along too. “Definitely, we always do,” Josie said, a smile forming on her face in return as Hope said that they were doing things their own way. They had always made their own rules to an extent so it felt right to carry on that tradition now. She hadn’t expected Hope to pull the chair out for her but she couldn’t deny that it was an incredibly sweet gesture and Josie thanked her automatically before slipping into her seat. Now that they were actually on a date she was starting to feel nervous since the adrenaline was slowly starting to wear off but she knew that she wanted to remember every moment of it. “There’s no way I could say no to that,” Josie grinned as Hope said that they would go for the red velvet cake. “You’re should try some when it gets here,” she offered as Hope said that the milkshake she was going to order sounded delicious. Josie had never minded sharing, after all it was something she was pretty sure came with the territory of being one of the youngest and a twin, and it had always been the same with Hope. She had thought about going for something that she’d had before but after everything that had happened that night she was feeling a little more adventurous and she knew that she was making the right choice. “Not really, it still feels like this is all a dream,” she admitted. “Between singing, kissing you and being here with you now it all feels way too good to be real.”HOPE MIKAELSON
