━ make you beg for it, plead for it, until you feel like you breathe for it ━ “You’re an idiot.”
“Says the bumpkin. Go back to whatever backwoods hole you came from if you don’t like the way I run things. You’re fired.” The ‘bitch’ was there at the end without him having to utter the word. Hannya gritted her teeth, ready to smite him where he stood before she thought of a better way. A smarter approach, one that would have him seething with jealousy before she tore him apart.
“We’ll see who’s running things by the time I’m done.” Hannya hissed, turning on her heel to strut towards the exit, ignoring the expletives thrown at her back about her outfit, and how she wouldn’t be allowed upstairs like that. Like what? Looking hot? Probably not; she’d met the bartenders they had up there and their poor excuse for uniforms. Maybe it’d aid her in her chat with the boss, though. Men were weak for the flesh; a demon, of all creatures, knew this best. Vampires might’ve been weak for it in a different way, but that didn’t change where they’d originated.
Carrying herself up the stairs with rough stomps of her heel, Hannya shoved through the doors and went straight to Hector’s office, not bothering to knock before her claws clasped the knob. Twisting it, she breathed out her anger before sticking her head through the space, letting out a gentle, “Mr. Dacre?” In a way that spoke more on seduction than respect. “I’ve got an issue with the manager downstairs.” She stepped in, closing the door behind her, though her body language didn’t match the politeness of her smile. The demon couldn’t help but stand in the space as if she owned it, manicured nails dipping into the bare skin on her stomach while her hands rested on her waist.
“He… doesn’t know how to do anything, and I’m sick of him. Could run that place a lot better.” Maybe it was too bold of a request, but Hannya softened it with a small step forward and her next few words, “Just ‘cause I’m sure you’ve got lots t’do up here, an’ I wouldn’t wanna put such a heavy burden on ya shoulders.” Hannya pouted as one would at a child, not meant to be disrespectful, but not appropriate for a man of his stature. “But, either way, he’s gotta go. He’s not only pissin’ me off but all the girls who work down there, too. He ain’t around for weeks at a time while I keep shit in order, an’ then he comes in and tries to micro-manage everythin’. He blew up at a man earlier ‘cause the guy left his guest on the couch for a minute. Came back for her and everythin’; he’s a regular, too.” She sighed, though only a moment passed before her smirk returned. “I’m jus’ sayin’, I think you and I would make a good team.”

It’s just business — Hector’s favourite saying when it came to throwing people to the lions. It was shady of him to forge Latimer’s signature, stating that he was handing everything over to Hector, but it was the way things went. The young vampire skipped town, leaving everything behind, so Hector was doing him a favour by picking it all up again, but the place needed changing. First the name, then the decor, then the rules of the bar formerly known as the Blood Den. He didn’t like authorities sniffing around the bar. He’d seen that detective De La Peña snooping around the place, like a dog trying to sniff out food and Hector didn’t need the headache. He liked to keep his name out of cop business. All that was needed was a few persuasive words to De La Peña, perhaps even a touch of compulsion though Hector was wary of using such tricks. He knew the town was full of supernatural and wouldn’t be surprised if legal enforcement was riddled with them too. De La Peña wasn’t his only problem, though. There was another investor, Dan, looming in the background. Hector was greedy, he wanted to own 100% of the club, but Dan was digging his heels in. The vampire had offered to pay him off, but Dan refused. He saw the potential the business had and wanted to stick with it. Hector had other ideas, though, looking for ways to eliminate Dan. Paperwork. Absolutely bane of running a business. He needed to compel himself a cute human to do it for him. “Mr. Dacre?” The southern shrill drew him away from his paperwork as he spun his chair to face the entrance. The same chair Latimer sat in as he greeted Hector when he came to his door offering to help run things. Hannya. The demon who came as part of the furniture when he took over the establishment. Standing in the same spot he once stood in when approaching Latimer. Assuring the young vampire he wouldn’t sell him down the river in due course. It wasn’t Hector’s fault though. He wasn’t the one who ran when things got a bit too heated and the pressure was building from De La Peña. “Of course you do…” His voice just louder than a whisper. Loud enough for the demon to hear, but a smile on his face indicated he was jesting with her. Setting back into his chair he listened as Hannya went onto explain she could run the bar better than the current management. With her suggestion came that seductive honey dripping voice. The demon had a point though. The current manager, Lewis, was hopeless, but if Hannya wanted something, he wasn’t about to give it to her. “I hear you, Hannya, but he’s been here since it opened, and he knows how to run things” Absolutely horse shit. Lewis had no idea what was going on downstairs half the time, and the bloke barely kept the bar restocked. Kit was doing a much better job upstairs. “But” He began, folding his arms, brown eyes on Hannya, “I propose a little you scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours deal?” He paused, unfolding his arms as he got to his feet, “I have a little job for you to do, if you’re up for it? It involves killing someone” He raised his eyebrows with a playful grin on his face. HANNYA

━ make you beg for it, plead for it, until you feel like you breathe for it ━ ‘Of course you do…’
Hannya quirked a brow, irritated by the lack of respect, though she didn’t show much in the other direction. However, he was smiling, and her lips pressed together tightly━there was no use being offended by it, she supposed. She wasn’t here for idle chit-chat; she wanted something done about the oaf downstairs.
‘I hear you, Hannya…’
As he went on, she rolled her eyes, letting out an irritated groan━a sound that resonated from deep within her throat, like a teenager being told they couldn’t go to a party. She didn’t want to hear that he understood, because he didn’t. He wasn’t working down there every day, doing his best to run things until some idiot got in the way every few weeks. It was fucking ridiculous at this point, and Hannya wouldn’t stand for it anymore. She knew when to push the line and when to step back, but she had to settle in Mystic Falls, so now she cared. Joel was here━that meant Hannya would stay.
The ‘but’ caught her attention. She perked up immediately, raising her brows, plump, glossy lips tugging upwards in a grin. But was enough of an edge to work her way in.
Hector was a businessman; he didn’t do favours; he made deals. If Hannya had respect for anybody, she would’ve obtained just a little bit more for Hector right then. Hazel eyes glittered expectantly, holding off on her comment until he stood and completed his offer.
“Ooh, a demon’s expertise.” Not technically, but it was all within the realm of darkness. Hannya stepped forward again, practically unable to be in a room with a man━or anybody, really━without touching them. Long, slender arms snaked around his shoulders to anchor her nearer, never shifting her gaze from his own. “I’d love t’scratch your back, Hector━oop, I mean, Mr. Dacre,” Hannya purred, one hand crawling up the back of his neck to entangle her fingers in his hair. “Who’s the unlucky fella?” Speaking as though it was nothing more than a simple favour, like running to the store for milk. Her hand drew forward, thumb tracing over the shell of his ear lightly. Too close for a man and what was (technically) his employee, but Hannya never cared much for boundaries or social etiquette.

For some demons were terrifying beings who held no morals whatsoever. Hector had seen the way some of the baby vampires backed away from Hannya when she made herself known. The fear in their eyes was amusing, to say the least, but at the end of the day, she was residing inside a human body. One susceptible to great, if not fatal, damage. Plus he’d been working with Hannya long enough now to know she was easy to manage once you get used to her. The woman craved attention and Hector was happy to provide it to her in small doses. Hannya was right though. The hopeless employee needed to go, Hector just hadn’t got round to putting his manager's hat on and sacking the idiot. Running a business was like riding a bike for him though. Sure, he’d been off the bike for a number of decades, but as soon as he slipped his feet back into those pedals it’s like he never stopped. The excitement and thrill that came with it all as well. The feeling of bills in the palm of his hands. It was what drove him in life. Of course that ‘but’ peaked Hannya’s demon. Her eyes lit up at the simple word. He wasn’t about to give her everything she wanted without a fair deal. It was a simple one as well and one he knew she wouldn’t fail. Taking the life of another. Hector smiled slightly as the demon edged towards him. Her arm sliding around his back as she purred his name. Mr Dacre sounded pleasant rolling off her tongue, knowing the woman’s suggestion wasn’t metaphorical. He was careful not to be seen getting too close with employees, but there was a lock on his office door for a reason. The vampire kept his gaze on Hannya as her thumb glided over the top of his ear. “Another vampire. He invested in the club a while ago… I offered to buy him out but he refused so I want him dead” He retorted, very matter of factly. “It wouldn’t look good for business if I was found with his heart in my hands” Hector was a man who kept his hands clean, as best he could. “I need it to be quick and discreet. Can you manage that Hannya?” There was no doubt in his mind but felt the need to make it clear he needed the execution to be quick. No bullshit torture stuff Demon’s appeared to enjoy. He didn’t need the man’s screams attracting every vampire in town. HANNYA

━ make you beg for it, plead for it, until you feel like you breathe for it ━ Deals. She wasn’t a crossroads demon whatsoever, but it was still fun to make them. Briefly, Hannya thought of Crowley, though it faded away within moments. Hector was here now, in front of her, allowing Hannya to take what she wanted━as long as there was a favour in return. It was better this way, she thought━she respected Hector more for making a deal rather than just handing over what she wanted. It kept Hannya on her toes, salivating at the chance to please and be pleased and all that fun stuff.
Quick and discreet. Ugh. She sighed lightly at it, a little eye roll, but it was fine in the end. Hannya could manage━this ‘investor’ wasn’t a target of her own, so she didn’t have the overwhelming urge to make his last few moments miserable. Dying must be awful, but there was nothing like torture.
“Yes, sir.” Hannya purred, batting her lashes at him, a tiny grin on her lips. She inched closer, making those big, hazel eyes as innocent as she could. “So, I get rid of him… then ya promise you’ll let me run it all down there? I guess this isn’t the sort of contract we can put in writing,” She giggled, though he was making a deal with a demon, and that was binding in itself. Hector was a mortal and a businessman, he’d been on Earth long enough to gain some tricks of the trade, and he must’ve known that always being truthful didn’t get you anywhere. Though, Hannya supposed it wasn’t gentlemanly to put on one of your investors, either. An eye for an eye. She should’ve been thinking, ‘if Hector can cross him, what’s to stop him from doing the same to me?’ but she wasn’t. In fact, for some twisted reason, it made her trust him more.
“Anythin’ else I can do for ya while I’m here, Mr. Dacre?” The demon was elated, riding high over her accomplishments and how well this meeting had gone. Another shift closer, tightening her arms on him until Hannya was clasping her own elbows, torso pressed up against Hector’s. “I have other talents, too, ya know. Not just squeezin’ the life outta people who get in the way,” Humming lightly, her tongue slipped over the centre of his lips, slow and teasing, giving Hector a wide, toothy grin once she was finished.

Of course, Hannya was capable of running the bar. Anyone was, but he knew the news of her promotion would ruffle a few feathers among the older staff. The staff who hadn’t been working there since the start. He knew it was risky trusting the demon to keep her mouth shut about their deal, but it was his only option at that moment. Kill the vampire himself and run the risk of being caught or let someone else do it for him. Lawrence and Lincoln flickered through his mind for a moment, but they’d barely just got their fangs. Both of them would be ripped apart in an instant by the investor. Hannya however. He knew what demons were capable of. Enough to make a person shake in their shoes. “Scouts honour… meaning yes I promise” Despite his dodgy dealings he tended to keep his word. It was the only way to secure a person's trust nowadays. It was the same promise he made to the previous owner. Not to sell him down the river at the first opportunity, which technically he didn’t. The other vampire ditched the bar as soon as things were heating up. Hector just pushed a little bit. The shady part came later when he signed the bar and club over to himself, but it was better than having some random mortal running the place. “We need to keep this a secret between us, okay?” It went without saying, but he wanted to hear Hannya confirm she understood. The words uttered in the room were not to go beyond the door. “As soon as you deliver his heart to me I’ll let you run the bar downstairs” Although a head or body parts would suffice. There it was again. Her suggestive tone and flirtatious manner. The behaviour that had most of his customers weak in the knees, which is why he was keen to keep Hannya around. She enticed the male audience, coaxing them into spending money. Money which fed his walled and fed into his lavish lifestyle. Hannya’s tongue glided over his lips, teasing him but he remained still. He’d certainly heard of these other talents she mentioned, but yet to witness them first hand. There was still the stack of paperwork behind him waiting to be completed, but he doubted Hannya’s talents fell within that realm. “I’m sure you do” He edged forward, closing the space between them by a fraction. Placing his hands firmly on Hannya’s backside he aggressively pulled her closer. He drew the demon’s bottom lip between his teeth with a gentle bite, “I have other talents as well but I tend to save them for those who are worthy… do you fall into that category?”HANNYA

━ make you beg for it, plead for it, until you feel like you breathe for it ━ “‘Course, Mr. Dacre,” Hannya grinned, fluttering her lashes at him. She could’ve started on a lecture about how she was old enough to understand what Scout’s Honour meant, but it wasn’t worth it━not when Hector was offering a higher position. Moving up within this establishment didn’t matter much to her, neither did having a job itself, but becoming a manager here meant she had more control━and that’s all humans craved. They’d be desperate to be where she was, and with Hector on her side, too. This deal meant they could get… cozy with one another. He trusted her to some degree, and she could now hold something over his head. “I love secrets. There’s somethin’ about ‘em…”
The rest was left unsaid, implied as she stepped closer and offered up other talents, slithering around him like a python ready to squeeze the life out of its prey. One wrong move, one hint of disdain… but oh, who was she kidding? Of course he wouldn’t. Men adored her. They couldn’t help but to fall into her trap. Simple little toys, but oh so fun.
“Worthy?” Hannya repeated, the gentlest sound of surprise coming when he grabbed on, pulling them even closer, nothing left to the imagination. Her host’s body was warm enough for the both of them, what with Hector’s… affliction. She didn’t mind, though. “‘Course I am, sir. I can prove it,” She knew all beings craved power, but sometimes there were special cases━and Hannya was willing to bet that Hector adored being in control. It was easy to hand over the impression that he could tame an old and volatile creature such as herself.
Dolly shuddered at the bite, but Hannya was willing to bet she could coax more out of him. She bit back, first his lip, then his neck, though it wasn’t until Hannya passed his chest that the bites became kisses━gentle, filled with adoration and, most of all, submission.
She’d let Hector remain the boss for now.
