These past few months had been hard-hitting for Raik. His mind prized open as the reality of the supernatural world flooded in. A world that existed outside the realms of normal with creatures that only existed in books and people’s imagination. Raik was wary about how deep he wanted to dig into all that ‘Hocus Pocus, as his mom described it. It was becoming apparent that the brothers had only just scratched the surface. There was more out there and Raik wasn’t sure if he could handle it. Raik was terrified of what the future held for the brothers. One forever young and the other ageing alongside him. How the hell were they going to explain it to their parents? Even Remzi would struggle to talk his way out of this shit show. He hadn’t exactly spoken with his brother about his concerns though, trying to remain rationale for now. Even if he did Remzi would brush them aside, telling him everything was going to be okay. Raik woke up early, as always. His body clock programmed the opposite to his brother who was in a deep slumber in the bed next to him. One an early bird, the other a night owl. Raik’s eyes scanned the room, which was just about visible due to the morning sun seeping through the forever closed curtains. The mess was giving him a headache. Clothes were strewn everywhere, Remzi’s clothes of course as Raik’s were hung neatly in the wardrobe. He pushed piles of clothing over to Remzi’s side of the room and tried to tidy the room as best he could without being too loud. How his brother could live in such chaos was beyond him. Eventually, Raik gave up and changed into his running attire. He needed to clear his head and get out of the motel room for an hour or so. As much as he loved his brother, it was tough sharing a room with him. He hated sharing a room with his brother when they were younger, and now he was being reminded as to why he hated it. He opened the door slightly, careful not to let the sun flooded the room and send Remzi up in a ball of flames. Raik pulled the door closed behind him gently. The weather wasn’t exactly running weather. A fine rain drizzled down over the town but the temperature was warm and humid. Air thick with moisture. He hadn’t even started running and already he had a bead of sweat on his forehead. Quickly he brushed it away before breaking into a light jog, heading out of the town and towards the woods. The moment he hit the woods Raik regretted his decision to go for a run in the rain. The ground was sodden and muddy, and his shoes weren’t exactly built for the terrain either. Pulling his hood up over his head, Raik continued through the woods, swapping the jog for a walk. Remzi had told him to stay away from the woods at night but failed to expand on his warning. Raik assumed this would be a vampire’s playground once the sun faded from the sky. Far enough away from the town for their victims screams to go unheard and the ideal place to ditch a body. A chill ran down his spine as he thought about it. It was morning though and Raik felt safe, but that feeling soon shattered when he spotted a female in the distance moving through the trees, covered in blood. He felt his stomach turn over, instantly feeling sick. Panic set in as he broke into a light run heading towards the female, “What’s happened? Are you okay?” He spoke as he approached her, “Are you hurt? Do you want me to take you to the hospital?” He went to place his hand on her shoulder, but immediately stopped himself, opting to keep a distance between the pair. HARMONY

━ watch me make them bow ━ It wasn’t that she was ashamed, but eating people wasn’t exactly a common practice. They knew what she had to do to survive, but it wasn’t pretty or glamorous, and it wasn’t the same as what they did. And she didn’t need to do it too often, either, which somehow made it stranger. So she kept it private, hidden, and went into Whitmore to do it.
Harmony had chosen her victim in a high-end store, because the well-groomed ones always tasted better. She waited until he was far into the parking lot━away from any cameras or lingering eyes━when she made her move. Before she went up, she changed her appearance, letting long, blonde and well-kept hair slide down her back, and changing her eye colour to green. She figured he’d find her more appealing if her hair wasn’t coloured, and she’d look more high-class, along with her white blouse, expensive purse and heels. It didn’t really matter in the end; she’d eat either way, but she didn’t want him to scream.
“Excuse me,” She spoke softly as she approached him. “My phone died and I’m not really from around here. Could I use yours?” She batted her lashes, and he handed over his phone with no hesitation.
‘Come sit in my car,’ He offered, ‘IIt’s starting to rain.’
If she was a normal girl, without any supernatural abilities, she might’ve said no. But Harmony nodded and thanked him, getting into the passenger’s seat and letting him turn on the air conditioning. She began her conversation with nobody on the other line, speaking as though there was somebody responding to her. She asked for a ride, got frustrated when she was denied, and stripped off her purse, spreading her legs just a bit so that her skirt began to ride up her thighs. She caught the man looking at her bare skin, and then once he realized she’d seen him, he looked nervous and ashamed. She smiled at him, though, and he relaxed. “Well, I’ll try to get a ride home, then. Thanks for being no help.” She puffed, and then handed the phone back to him. “Thank you.” She said, “You’re not… going to Mystic Falls, are you? I don’t have any cash on me, but I can pay you when we get there.” And, of course, he said yes.
She let him put his hand on her thigh partway through the ride, after she’d already chatted him up. Once they were close enough to Mystic Falls, she put a hand on his, and slid it up a little further. At a red light, she kissed him, venom seeping into his mouth. They were close enough to the woods by now. “Pull into the parking lot for the walking trail.” She purred, and he did as told. The ‘parking lot’ was just a cleared area with levelled dirt, and enough room to fit a few cars in. Thankfully, though, his was the only one. Harmony slipped her purse back on and got out of the car, taking his hand and leading him on the trail. Once they’d rounded a corner, she took him off the trail and deep into the woods, making him carry her so that she didn’t step in anything, and so her heels didn’t sink into the mud. She began to kiss him again, and let him put her down in a small clearing. She stripped off her heels, bare feet hitting the cold ground. She didn’t mind, though, she’d be eating soon enough.
Harmony dragged him to lay on the ground, over top her, and as he struggled with his button, she reached out to the side, blindly groping over the leaves until she found a big enough rock. She bashed him with it, then moved to her knees and shoved him to the ground, hitting him a few more times until he stopped moving. She let out a heavy breath, taking off her purse again and tossing it away, far enough so that it wouldn’t get any blood on it.
Finally, she began eating, sitting up with her legs outstretched, and the man’s upper body in her lap. Covered in blood by the time she had him in pieces, her pale blue skirt pushed up over her hips, red blotches all over her bare thighs, arms, mouth and previously-white blouse. Harmony didn’t mind, though. She was too hungry to care.
Once he was all gone, Harmony scooped up her heels and purse and began walking back toward the trail, trying to get out as quickly as possible before she was spotted.
‘What’s happened? Are you okay?’
Fuck. Game over. Looking up with wide eyes, Harmony flinched back, letting the fear consume her expression. If she was going to find a way out of this, she’d have to act like the victim. “I…” Harmony whimpered, looking around quickly as if she was scared of her surroundings━waiting for something to jump out at any moment. Grabbing at her skirt, she pushed it down a few inches until it was at least mid-thigh, spreading the blood around. “No. I’m…” She sniffled, tears welling up in her eyes.
“Yeah, he━he hurt me. I can’t… go to the hospital. I have to go before he…” Glancing sideways and back into the woods, as if waiting for the man━or what was left of him━to pop up and come chasing after her like a skeleton from some Halloween cartoon. “Please help me.” Harmony cried, stepping forward and reaching out to curl her fingers around his arm, looking at the man with a pleading expression. The siren abilities kicked up again, a cloud of sensuality flowing between them, forcing him to become drawn to her.

Being away from a city Raik assumed crime would be bordering on nil and void. Places like this seemed to have a sense of community engraved into the mind of every local. Neighbour watches and weekly meetings at the town hall to discuss who may have stolen an old lady’s recycling bins. A place where everyone knew everyone's business and you couldn’t so much as steal a bar of chocolate without someone knowing. At least that was the picture he had painted in his mind before he stepped foot in Mystic Falls, but after digging through old local newspapers and a quick search on google revealed the place had a dead body turning up every other week. It was a wonder the population hadn’t fallen to zero in recent years. Growing up in Detroit wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows though. If you looked carefully enough in the city there was a crime being committed on every corner, at least where the brother’s lived. One wrong look at someone could get you shot. It was a surprise Remzi had never come home with a bullet lodged in his arm. At times he was grateful for the environment he was brought up in. From a young age he realised the world was a tough place, where nothing was given to you at ease. A place where you needed to work hard if you wanted to make something of yourself. Growing up he watched as his parents worked all hours possible to keep a roof over their heads. Every now and then they would have some extra cash and the boys would be treated to a new pair of sneakers. The bloody female emerged from the trees was another affirmation this town wasn’t squeaky clean. His immediate thought was it was a vampire. The girl was covered in blood so it must have been? For the first time, he was positive Remzi wasn’t behind this. Rather he was hiding behind the curtain until nightfall, but it could have been one of those lucky enough with a band around their finger. Focus— He quickly reminded himself how important it was to keep a clear head in these situations. He needed to first assess her injuries, see where she was bleeding from. Was it deep? Did he need to apply pressure? It was as if all his military training had been rebooted in his mind. Years of running over to the wounded on the field and patching them up without getting shot himself. Quickly Raik peered past the girl to make sure the perpetrator hadn’t followed her. “It’s okay… don’t worry you’re safe now” Dark eyes scanned the female’s body for obvious wounds, but he couldn’t see anything, “Whereabouts are you hurt?” Though he was reassured he couldn’t see any life-threatening injuries that needed attention, partially processing her comment about being unable to go to the hospital. “If you don’t have insurance it’s…” His attention was back on the girl rather than searching her body for damage. “Please help me.” There was a low humming deep inside his mind, like nothing he’d ever heard before. It was alluring and encaptivating, as though it was for his mind only and no one else. The sound belonged to him. Nothing else mattered in that moment apart from the beautiful sound rolling through his mind. He didn’t want it to stop. “Of course… how can I help you?” Raik responded, glancing down at the wounded female. HARMONY

━ watch me make them bow ━ Men were simple, and this one wouldn’t prove to be much different. Immediately, he was trying to help Harmony, quite sure she was the victim in this situation. She would’ve cackled if it wasn’t the difference between danger and safety. She nodded when he attempted to console her, pausing to take a deep breath, swallowing hard━as if his words could truly fix the way she was feeling.
‘Whereabouts are you hurt?’
Harmony looked at him nervously then, with more truth to it than the rest of her behaviour so far. She didn’t want him to freak out and run away in fear, though a little injection of venom and he’d be fine. She didn’t have much to worry about, but the siren didn’t want another run-in with the cops like she had in Europe. “I…” Swallowing again, she lifted her skirt a few inches, showing off more bare, bloody skin, and a flash of the fabric beneath. There were no wounds, though. “You have to believe me...” Harmony began, stepping into him and curling her fingers around his ropey bicep, peering up into the man’s eyes. “I healed. I can’t explain how, but…” Trailing off once more, she begged him with her eyes, a tiny plead escaping her before she drew him in with her siren’s song. It was a mental projection, only real in his mind and not audible for anybody else━which was good, just in case any other ‘outdoorsy types’ lurked nearby.
‘Of course… how can I help you?’
A slow smirk spread across her lips. That was what she wanted to hear. Like music to her ears just as she was sure her tune was filling his, making them both comfortable and drawn to one another. “Can you take me home?” Harmony practically purred, voice as soft as silk, though her touch didn’t match it. She inched in to press against his frame, fingers sliding up and to his shoulder, “I need to get clean, and I’m worried he might still be out there. Could I use your shower?” An innocent enough of a request, sure, and this man could be her alibi if anybody saw her woundless and covered in blood.

“You have to believe me...”— Of course he believed her. His fatal trait shining through, possibly stronger than ever. The idea that not everyone wasn't genuine, and people tread on others to further in life. It was a concept Raik struggled to understand. His mom taught him they were all God’s children and they should look over for each other. Remzi had taught him not to trust everyone but it was a working progress. But this girl? She was hurt. She needed his help. It was impossible to turn his back on her, only made stronger by the beautiful sound in his head. Rattling around constantly telling him he had to help her. It wasn’t just the low hum though, but also his burning desire to help those in need. After all, it was the main reason he signed up for the military. The comment that she could heal herself caused Raik to frown a little. His eyes fell down on her hands. No daylight ring? She can’t have been a vampire. Part of him wanted to edge away, now there was talk of her being something else. Something not human, but he simply couldn’t. Instead, she closed the gap between the pair. Small fingers traced up his body to his shoulder as that sound continued in his head. His body relaxed at her touch, tension being released from his muscles as she spoke. Raik felt safe with this stranger. “Of course you can” The words fell out of his mouth without a second thought. No hesitation as though his mind was being driven by something else. All autonomy was lost. “I’m at the motel back in town it’s not far” He nodded back towards the way he entered the woods. But then there was Remzi. The heap that lay asleep in the motel room after his late night adventures. Would the blood on this woman stir something inside of Remzi? Moments like this he longed for his own room. His own space. Any concerns that entered his mind were quickly suppressed by the music in his ears. His own inner dialogue was silenced by whatever was happening. HARMONY - hope dis is okey lol tehehe

━ watch me make them bow ━ ‘Of course you can.’
Harmony grinned. She hadn’t expected anything different, but it was still nice to hear him complying. More than flesh, she needed this to survive. Men doing what she asked, fulfilling every request as if it were their only duty in life. It made her stir deep inside but, more than anything, it felt good. Filled her belly more than that last meal.
“Thank you,” Harmony spoke in a husky, low voice, slipping her hand into his, intertwining their fingers. She walked out with him, allowing the man to lead her to wherever he was staying. Briefly, the siren was worried it would be the same place she and Viktor were staying at, but soon realized it wasn’t that at all━a ritzy, big place, much nicer than the Mystic Falls Motel. She stuck close to his side while they were in the elevator, then on the floor she presumed was his. Harmony kept up the act along the way, shuddering once or twice and using it as an excuse to press her chest into him, acting as though he was the only thing that could keep her safe.
At the door, she quietly thanked him again, “I got really lucky with you being there,” Harmony hummed, her thumb gently skimming to and fro on the back of his hand. “I don’t think there’s any way I can repay you,” She whispered, slipping her free hand up to his cheek after having wiped off all the blood. There was a way, of course, but she wanted to drag this on for a little longer━see how long it took a man to get desperate even without the venom. With Viktor, it hadn’t taken long, though she hoped it would be even less time with this one. Who was…? “My name’s Harmony. I don’t think we got properly introduced━considering the circumstances.” She smiled sadly, trying to bring a lighter edge to the mood.

It was one thing taking a stranger back to their hotel room, but it was another thing taking one back covered in blood. There was a chance he was saving this female only to lead her into more danger. Into the path of his brother, whose mouth salivated at the scent of blood. But surely it would be a safer option than leaving this poor stranger out to face whatever was in the woods. Plus there was always a part of him that believed he could stop his brother if needed. Talk some sense into him before he ripped someone apart, but there was that other part of him that was terrified his words would simply bounce off Remzi. Even he wouldn't be enough to stop his sibling from going into a frenzy. It was a situation he was hoping he'd never encounter. When they were younger he’d always been able to speak sense into his younger sibling, but now things were different. Apparently, everything Remzi was feeling was amplified. But nothing was deterring him from taking the stranger back to their room. The concerns in his mind were quelled with ease. The stranger laced her fingers into his as he guided her back to the hotel. The journey was a blur. His legs carried his body from A to B without thought. He glanced down at the female, his key hovering over the lock. “So long as you’re okay. Come inside and clean yourself up” He still wanted to take her to the hospital, just to be safe, “Nice to meet you, Harmony. I’m Raik” He slotted the key into the hotel room door, “My brother might be asleep, but it would take an earthquake to wake him” Even then he’d probably just stir in his sleep, whereas Raik would bolt out of bed at the sound of a bird tweeting at the window. Gently he pushed the door open, guiding Harmony inside, “Is there anything I can do for you? Are you sure you don’t want to go to the hospital?” If needed he’d cover any medical expenses because he was just that type of person. The type who wanted to help everyone and anyone in the world. ━ watch me make them bow ━ IN SOME WAY, SHAPE or form, Harmony was grateful. This gave her an alibi if need be, though she’d hoped to be done with her next meal as fast as possible. If someone had to catch her, it was better to go this way than another━like tearing up a second human when she wasn’t even hungry. Without knowing, this man had done everything correctly━checked all the right boxes━to keep himself alive. And it was a good thing, too━it would be a shame to destroy such a gorgeous specimen.
“Raik,” Harmony repeated, tasting his name in her mouth, savouring it like a sip of aged wine. Drinking him in, the siren slipped in close as they headed inside the hotel room, one hand still in his, her chest brushing up on his firm torso. Brother. A possible second witness, but hopefully he’d stay cooped up in his room━Harmony didn’t know what it was like to have siblings, but she assumed anyone would respect family privacy while there were guests. She was forced to hear her mother and whatever man she brought home from the next room, and she planned to make just as much noise with Raik. Maybe the sleeping one would wake up to hear his brother begging━one could only hope.
‘Is there anything I can do for you? Are you sure you don’t want to go to the hospital?’
“I’m sure. I don’t think they’ll be as helpful as you are,” Fluttering her lashes, Harmony walked a few steps into the room, guiding Raik to what she suspected was the bathroom. “There is something you can do, though,” She grinned, trying for innocent but ending up closer to a sly fox, one who was hunting its dinner. “Show me how to get the shower on? And… towels?”
Walking backwards for a few slow steps, Harmony eventually turned and found her suspicions proven correct━sink, toilet, and a shower big enough for two. Now within the confines of the bathroom, she stripped herself of all the blood-stained fabric, leaving crimson-stained skin instead.
“Please tell me you have something better than five-in-one soap for body wash,” She snorted, a hand on her hip, eyeing Raik expectantly.

Bringing a stranger back to the hotel room in the early morning was something Remzi would do, not Raik, but he was helping her. Even so, he couldn’t help but find himself ridiculously attracted to her. Her soft blonde hair, enticing blue eyes and desirable curves. He was drawn in by her, caught up in something he couldn’t even see, unable to pull away even if he wanted to. There was something off about the situation, but he couldn’t place his finger on it and part of him was too busy enjoying it. Remzi was of course curled up in bed. Hopefully, it would stay that way. His eyes were still scanning her body, that breathtaking body, for any obvious signs of injury, but his gaze was pulled away as she spoke again, leading him to the bathroom. It had everything you needed inside, but Raik often found himself ducking under the showerhead every morning to stop himself from hitting his forehead. He was about to show her how to use the shower when she shed those blood-stained clothes, letting them drop to the floor in a heap. Raik wanted to look away, but he couldn’t. Drawn in by her yet again. Fuck, he even wanted to step forward and place his hands on her hips. Exploring every part of her, but he kept hands glued by his side. “I—” He swallowed hard, reaching forward to flip the shower on, his eyes only leaving hers for a second “The little dial thing there controls the temperature in case it’s too warm… or too cold” The water spat out slowly before turning into a steady stream, hitting Harmony’s skin. The dried blood had started to run down her body. There were still no signs of an injury, but by this point Raik didn’t care though, almost forgetting what they were doing in there in the first place. “Please tell me you have something better than five-in-one soap for body wash,” Her words pulled him back into reality as he glanced over at the five-in-one, which belonged to his brother. “Yeah, hang on” Raik moved out of the bathroom, taking a deep breath as soon as he stepped into the room. He glanced over at Remzi for a moment, part of him wanting to wake him and tell him what was happening. Whisper to him like an excited school child about the beautiful woman who was in their bathroom. He carefully walked past the bed, picking up a bag from his side of the room. Raik soon returned to Harmony inside the bathroom, with some luxury shampoo, conditioner and body wash. “I usually keep them hidden in my bag so my brother doesn’t use them” Or ruin them in some way. ━ watch me make them bow ━ HARMONY GREW IRRITATED AT his saintly act. It was nice in the beginning, just what she needed when he caught her red-handed (literally), but now she was ready to change gears. Stripping down had the man bashful and nervous, as if he didn’t want to do anything wrong while she was literally presenting herself to him on a silver platter. Men, God, they were hilarious and infuriating all at the same time. At least he was innocent enough to believe she was the victim in all this.
“Oh, really?” Harmony asked, voice full of sarcasm as Raik pointed out what the handle could do to manipulate the temperature. Since it was obvious she had to hand-feed him everything, Harmony climbed into the tub just as he was rushing out, watching the blood turn orange and circle the drain until her hero was running back to her━fancy body wash and all. The kind of stuff she had when she was draining every cent from the men she was with━before Europe and Viktor and all the trouble that came after.
Reaching for the bottles, Harmony brushed her fingers over Raik’s as she took the body wash first, her voice a gentle purr. “Thanks.” Grinning, she took a handful of the soap and set the bottle on the edge of the tub, beginning to clear the rest of the blood from her body, revealing blemishless skin underneath. “Are you gonna just stand there or get in?” Harmony asked, brows raised. “Water’s warm,” She added sensually, “Help me wash my back?”

Something about the situation didn’t sit right with Raik, but there was a voice inside his head telling him to ignore it. Ignore the red flags and just take hold of Harmony. Push her against the cool tiles, gripping tightly around her waist. He tried to push the idea out of his head as he showed her the dials. He chuckled at her sarcasm, “Just in case you didn’t know” Those things could be a puzzle to work sometimes. There had been countless hotel room bathrooms he had stood in naked pressing every single button and pulling all the handles to get the water warm. But now she wanted something better than the cheap stuff Remzi had on offer. He couldn’t expect her to wash with dollar soap, which was harsh enough to wash the dishes. The water poured out of the shower, steaming up the room within a few seconds. His reflection in the mirror was barely visible as he walked past to leave the bathroom. He silently rustled around outside the room, collecting whatever Harmony asked for. He quickly returned to the bathroom to find her in the tub. An offer for him to get in with her. An offer he couldn’t refuse. She was breathtaking once that blood had washed away from her skin. “Sure” The words fell out of his mouth without his brain processing them. With the same hurry as before, he was quick to remove his clothes and climb in the tub with Harmony. The warm water rushed over his skin as he reached for his body wash. HARMONY - zee end
