Sebastian liked to think that he was quite familiar with Mystic Falls now, he’d been in town for quite some time now and while it confused him to no end in the past, it wasn’t like that anymore. He was quite proud of the progress he’d made and now, he was even in the possession of a cellphone, the same device that confused him. Sure, he often found himself dialing the wrong number or using the wrong application for something else entirely but these instances were happening less and less, so for that, he was grateful and quite proud of himself. Tonight, he had decided to leave the school grounds for quite some time, mainly to find some time for himself and to give himself the space he desired.
It wasn’t because of the school or the people in it, if anything, he was actually beginning to make friends which was a rather strange concept for Sebastian who had always preferred to be on his own, but back then, it was considered a weakness to care for someone else, but now, it was seen as a strength. The world had changed quite a bit and he was beginning to believe that a lot more right now.
Sebastian blinked out of his thoughts when his shoulder brushed against someone who walked past him in a hurry, he looked over his shoulder at them with a frown tugging at his features before he shook his head and panned his focus ahead once more. His walk ended with him stumbling upon the Underground Club. He’d seen it multiple times, but never really entered it, mainly due to the line waiting to get in but this time, he decided it might be best if he checked it out to see what the club truly had to offer. Once he was inside, he was swallowed by the loud music as the flow of explicit lyrics reached his ears which made him scoff. ”Charming, as always.” He murmured under his breath, blue eyes scanning his surroundings until his eyes relaxed upon a door which had him frowning slightly. Oh. Curiously, he began to approach that door and stopped when he was asked to sign a paper, which he did. Once he was allowed inside, his eyes began to scan his surroundings. He came to the conclusion shortly after that he was surrounded by people like him.
Vampires.
It was exhilarating, in a way. He liked it. Perhaps a little too much. Sebastian approached the bar where he claimed a stool, his eyes focused on the drink he’d ordered, the red color was unmistakable. He lifted the glass up to his lips to have a quick sip, letting the flow of the blood rush down his throat, satiating his thirst. ”This place is rather peculiar…” Sebastian said to the person on his left, someone he’d never seen before, really. ”But in a charming way, almost…” Sebastian added a moment later. ”The music’s a little loud, but I’ve come to the realization that it’s like that everywhere these days. People just love their music these days, don’t they? Especially the younger ones.” Sebastian breathed out with a small scoff following. ”Are you a regular?”

“All I’m saying is I should get a discount in here now. I clean your souls up and drink the bar dry” Leah tapped her fingers on the bar impatiently as the bartender handed her a drink. It was the cute Candian employee she had failed to crack, despite fluttering her eyelashes at him almost every night. Apparently, he was done with crazy bitches, muttering something about Hannya. “Is this going on your tab?” The reaper sighed, fingers curling around her drink, “Obviously” She drew the glass up to her mouth and took a sip. Leah twisted her body around to observe the crowd present in the bar. Eyes scanning, mainly looking for Remzi. There was no sign of the hunky vampire though which was a shame, as she was hoping to fill that space in her bed with him. There was something about him that made her want more. Their chemistry was toxic and chaotic. It was everything she lived for. Leah was at the bar for pleasure that evening, but give it an hour or two there would be a lost soul who needed transport, which gave her some time to enjoy herself and sink a few drinks. At least she was close to the dead bodies when they dropped in the Blood Den. Her success rate of getting souls to follow her had improved after she stole a speech from her co-worker Elias, explaining to the dead humans that limbo was no place for them and they would soon lose their marbles. “This place is rather peculiar…”A male spoke next to her, causing her to spin back to face him. Charming? Possibly not the word she would use. “I would say it is rather fun” Certainly beat most of the bars back in LA. Again, she would disagree about the music being a little too loud. It wasn't loud enough, but at least she could hold a conversation with someone without yelling unlike upstairs. His accent indicated he someone who wasn't from this time. An older vampire. A smirk appeared on Leah’s lip. She preferred them younger, less in control of their blood lust, like Remzi, “You could say that yes. I'm a reaper, so I'm always here collecting human souls, but apparently” Leah leaned back a little raising her voice, “Not regular enough to get a discount on the drinks” She turned back to the bartender for a split second before returning to her original position, “You're not a regular though are you? I would remember a handsome face like yours” The reaper grinned, as she placed her elbow on the bar and rested her chin on her hand, “I'm Leah”SEBASTIAN GRAVES

Sebastian lifted his drink up to his lips as he slightly tipped his head back so he could let the blood slide down his throat, it was definitely a lot better than spotting a victim to feed from. During his stay at the Salvatore School, he’d been feeding from blood bags and while the animal blood was borderline disgusting and not as rich as human blood, it helped him keep his thirst under control. But it was during moments like these that he decided to let go for a little bit and focus on something else than rules and what he should and shouldn’t do.
Sebastian was rather pleasantly surprised when his companion chose to talk to him as well, he had half-expected the other to look the other way and simply choose to ignore his presence, he wouldn’t have blamed her for it, he was a stranger, after all. ”Ah, yes…” Sebastian trailed off as his eyes soon began scanning his surroundings. ”I definitely agree with you on that.” He pointed out a moment later, his voice remaining rather soft as he spoke. But then again, probably everything sounds fun for someone who had been left in a box in his desiccating form for over five hundred years. Back then, there were taverns and such, but they were rather dull and nowhere near charming enough to coax people inside. There were people who could sing, but it wasn’t nearly as lively as this kind of music that had gotten popular among this generation of youngsters. Well, technically he was young as well, but he’s also over five-hundred years old, so maybe not that young.
”A reaper?” Sebastian repeated, looking rather caught off-guard by the revelation of the woman’s species. ”I did not know such things existed.” It almost sounded unreal but how could it be when a reaper was sitting beside him right now? ”Ah, that is nonsense. Perhaps you should put her drinks on my tab.” The last sentence was said to the bartender more than anyone else. The compliment that was shot his way caused a small smirk to tug at the corner of his lips, his blue eyes relaxing upon the reaper once more. ”No, I’m afraid I’m not a regular, but I have a feeling that after today, I will be.” Sebastian lifted his drink up to his lips to take a quick sip, letting the taste of blood linger on his tongue for a moment or two before he finally swallowed it down. Sebastian lifted his hand up to his mouth so he could wipe the edge of his lips with the pad of his thumb, collecting any blood that might be gathered there before his tongue rushed over the surface of his bottom lip a moment later. ”Pleasure to meet you, Leah.” He greeted with a crooked smile resting on his lips. ”I’m Sebastian,” he introduced himself a moment later with a nod of his head following. ”So…” Sebastian trailed off, blue eyes relaxing upon the dashing woman sitting not too far away from him. ”How does one become a Reaper, if you do not mind me asking? If it is a personal matter then please, feel free to not answer.”

It hadn’t been the first time a vampire had hit back with an element of surprise when revealing she was a reaper, but then the species rarely crossed paths. Leah was there to help the humans of the world, not the supernatural. She nodded in response to his question. “Yep” Wherever vampires gathered, reapers would never be too far. Ready to collect the souls of those they had drained usually appearing invisible, something which Leah always forgets to do, instead she would appear in the flesh. Slipping under that invisible veil was useful at times, secretly keeping an eye on people. She had been tempted to do it to Remzi a few times, see what he was getting up to without her and with who, but that required admitting there was a streak of jealously, something she was keen to ignore. Leah broke into a playful smile as he told the bartender to put her drinks on his tab, “That’s very kind of you” That saved her from breaking her bank account, as she had been doing the past few weeks. A job as a reaper was more of a volunteering gig. She understood why some went rogue, choosing to deliver souls elsewhere and get back for their services. The reaper removed her elbow off the bar and sat up straight. “That’s good to know because I was starting to get bored of the same old faces in here. You can be my new drinking buddy though something tells me you can hold your liquor?” Drinking with humans was boring now. Few shots and they’d be passed out on the floor. She needed someone who could clear a shelf. Her icy blue eyes observed as the vampire brought his hand up to wipe away any excess blood before running his tongue over his bottom lip. Shit, vampires were so hot, stirring something in Leah as she watched on. If only he was wiping her blood from his bottom lip after using her as a blood bag. Sucking every last drop out of her veins. “Nice to meet you too Sebstain” She responded, as she snapped out of her daydreams. “Well, there are lots of different ways. Some people are just born reapers” They were the ones who were good at their job, knowing nothing different, but often they were even colder than Leah. Forever dealing with death drove away emotions. “But for me, I died. I was in limbo for a few years until I met a reaper and I asked him nicely to ask Death to bring me back but as a reaper of course. So now I’m Death’s little bitch for eternity, but it beats being dead” She drew her glass up to her lips, taking a small sip, “I’m assuming you’re a vampire?” Leah nodded towards the glass of blood, “And, I’m assuming you’re a little bit older than most the vampires in here?” The accent and mannerism were a giveaway.
