The Boys Are Back

Born in 1427, this guy has been Evangeline’s best friend her whole life. They grew up in the same coven, one that Evangeline was destined to lead one day given that she was also the only child born to the King and Queen, but his family were also powerful so it was always hoped that one day the two of them would marry.

They were close while they were growing up and were often asked if they were together but their answer was always the same – they were simply best friends. They were both twenty two when Kol came to the kingdom and Evangeline started spending time with him.

This guy stood by her and fought alongside her when her kingdom was attacked a year later but he wasn’t around at the time she died and was turned by Kol as she had instructed him to lead some of their soldiers in protecting another part of the castle. Grief made Evangeline fight with everything she had in order to protect her kingdom and the people she loved that she still had left, including this guy, since her parents died the day the attack happened and after the battle was over she stuck around to help her kingdom recover.

Once she knew that things were getting back to the way they should be she left this guy in charge of the kingdom and he in turn gave her a daylight ring that he had created for her so that she could live some semblance of a normal life for the first time. In the past Evangeline had confided in him about the darkness she had felt starting to creep in as her magical abilities grew and unbeknownst to her he added an additional layer of protection to the ring to stop that darkness from plaguing her again.

Whether he became a vampire after Evangeline left (they were both twenty three at the time) or whether he simply found a spell to make himself immortal is open. They haven’t seen each other since they parted ways but will be reuniting now and will finally realise that they are meant for each other after all.

Evangeline met this guy a few years after Kol was daggered in Spain in 1702. She had been travelling on her own when they met and he had been living on the streets. He reminded her a lot of her best friend so she reached out and did her best to help him the way she had those in her kingdom during her former life as a princess. Over time they started to bond and he went to stay with her.

What Evangeline didn’t know was that he had ended up getting involved with some bad people while he was sleeping rough and one day she found him lying bleeding in the middle of the street having been beaten to within an inch of his life. Evangeline fed him her blood in the hope that it would save him but instead he died with her blood in his system and became a vampire.

By that point he was already family to her and Evangeline took him under her wing, got him a daylight ring and taught him about being a vampire. He is loyal to her and has been travelling with her ever since. He stayed behind in the last place they lived in so that he could tie up some loose ends but now that Evangeline is settled in Mystic Falls and he has finished doing what he needed to do, I would love for him to join her.

This guy is basically the annoying brother that Evangeline loves but wants to punch half the time as he loves to annoy her and often forgets that she can take care of herself.

These two met while he was a thief and she caught him trying to steal from her. Instead of killing him she realised that he could be useful and after that he started gathering intel for her on various different people and things that were going on. He became loyal to a fault and while trying to protect Evangeline he ended up getting himself badly hurt. Annoyed that he had forgotten that she could look after herself, Evangeline fed him her blood and he died with it in her system.

He stayed with her and the second guy after that and he often thinks of himself as their protector even though they were both older and stronger than he is. He doesn’t always make good choices and ends up getting himself into trouble quite often but he has a heart of gold. Like the second guy he stayed behind in the last place the three of them were living in to tie up some loose ends and is now going to make his way to Mystic Falls. Like the second guy, she would have got him a daylight ring so he wouldn’t have to live confined to darkness.

This last guy is someone who has only come into Evangeline’s life fairly recently. He has a degree in social work and she met him through ANTONIO ALVAREZ and ETHAN ALVAREZ. He was one of the first join their team as a social worker when they were setting up the adoption agency and he also helped Evangeline set up the group home. Whether he is still a warlock or whether Evangeline has recently turned him because she had to is completely open but he would have helped her, Antonio and Ethan devise a way to tell if kids they are helping are human or supernatural and which species they belong to.

These two have only known each other for a few months so they aren’t as close as Evangeline is with the others but I would love it if he became another best friend/brother to her down the line.
