Scott’s eyes had been opened to just how dangerous Beacon Hills was the day that he became a werewolf. Before that he had been like so many others living in blissful ignorance and along the way there had been times when he had found himself wishing that he could go back to the way things used to be but the truth was that now he wouldn’t want to. Getting to where he was now wasn’t easy at all and some people had ended up getting hurt along the way but now all of the people he cared about were safe and Scott felt like he was the person that he was meant to be. Becoming a werewolf was a burden at times but it had helped him figure out who he was and the pack he had around him now truly was his family so he knew that he wouldn’t give that up for anything in the world.

They all had their own journey that had brought them to Mystic Falls but it had also brought them together so Scott knew that it wasn’t necessarily a bad thing. One thing Scott had learned was to never give up fighting and so many of the people around him felt the same way so he was surprised when Jasper said that he was ready to die. “Do you really mean that? You’re back with your family now and I know they’d be devastated to lose you again,” he said gently. He knew that he would never be able to truly understand what Jasper had been through but he had to believe that being with Hayden and Val again was better than being stuck on the Other Side. “We’re glad to have you,” Scott chuckled. Truth be told Jasper had already been his friend and he was Hayden’s brother so he had already fallen under the pack’s protection but now it was official and Scott knew that they would all be there to help him. As Jasper asked if he could call Hayden from his phone, Scott nodded. “Of course,” he said, pulling his phone out of his pocket and unlocking it. Finding Hayden’s number, he pulled up the contact on the screen before holding the phone out to Jasper, leaving it to him to actually press the button and call his sister.
