til now. You serve your country with pride. It doesn't matter where they send you or who you go in with your first duty's to your country. Frank once lived by those words, in a way he still does. He grew up watching his father put his life on the line with the green berets and despite his family's reservations went and followed in his father's footsteps. By the time he headed to Westpoint his hearing impaired brother was already in college and Frank's role as his brother's protector was kinda moot. Frank graduated Westpoint and headed into the green berets like his father. For almost 7 years he served in Asia and the Middle East, but then a mission gone wrong left him with a permanently weakened shoulder and Frank chose to step down to the reserves and a life in academia instead. It's not him going soft, as he'll happily remind anyone who tries to question his move, it was him doing what was best for his team, what was best for himself. In recent months Frank has come to realise that the place he'd hoped to find some peace was no less a war zone. First he was stabbed during what looked like a botched mugging, then while he sat in his office he ended up caught in some sort of invisible tide, yanked out into the cold of the woods around Whitmore to find his brother, dead in the snow for him to scream over as his banshee side finally emerged. Shattered by the loss of his brother, Frank, with the support of those closest to him, has tried to find his feet again.
friends. Theo, Frank's big brother, always was his closest friend. Since going to work at Whitmore Frank's gotten even closer with his brother. He was close to his team too, although with them still serving with the 5th SFG, Frank's kinda at a distance from them now. Following the death of his own brother and his spending time in a jail cell Kit has been the team mate Frank's become closest to, getting the guy to move in with him, helping him pick the pieces of his life back up. He's friendly with other staff at Whitmore, goes out of his way to make sure that happens. He's a fan of the town's nightlife too, immersing himself in it and the people that careen through that side of Whitmore as often as he can.
enemies. Enemies are something Frank would scoff at. In the field of war almost everybody you're fighting against is labelled an enemy but personally for him? He's not seen any one single person in that role. It's war, not one on one hatred.
family. Frank spent his entire childhood as his brother's protector, wanting nothing more than to follow his dad Andreas into the army. His parents still live in Okinawa, as his father is still with the green berets, but Frank eventually followed his brother Theo to Whitmore. With him and his brother working on the same campus Frank's probably closer to him than he had been at any point since Theo chose to go to college rather than head to Westpoint.
lovers. For most of his life Frank's career has taken the place of relationships. Has connected with people? Yes. Has he enjoyed his time with them? Absolutely. Has he looked for any sort of long term commitment? Not yet.
connections.
