Henrik doesn't agree with what his mother did after he died but he holds no ill will towards her and he still loves her dearly. As Henrik is the youngest he and Esther were always close while he was growing up although he died before he was able to tap into his magic.
Ever since learning that his siblings are alive Henrik has been working hard to reunite them all and he resurrected Esther in October 2019 so she has been living in Mystic Falls since then. She was there to help deliver Hope into the world and she has been there for Henrik as he has been finding his feet as a father as well. Since both Henrik and Freya are in town too and the family has grown through the additions of Hope, Alice and Connor, Esther knows that it is only a matter of time before Dahlia puts the pieces together and arrives in Mystic Falls and she will do all she can in order to protect her family from her sister.
Her relationship with Mikael and the rest of the family will need to be agreed with the individuals that play them but Esther and Henrik are close and I would love for it to stay that way. It was also previously plotted that she was friends with my character ATHENA PETROVA before Esther died and so that friendship can always be picked up too.
