This request is for Kaleb’s friends from New Orleans. They are a bit of a misfit bunch but they are like family and when one is in trouble the others all rally around to help. That’s how it was after the accident that resulted in Kaleb’s parents being killed and him being left paralysed but they refused to let him give up hope that he would walk again and it is because of all of them that he did. They helped him cope and it brought them all closer than ever. Kaleb has always been the unintentional leader of the group but now they’re the only family he has left that he knows of. More information about what life was like for Kaleb and his friends can be found in his app. They all transferred to Whitmore College after Kaleb felt drawn to Mystic Falls and they want to help him figure out why.

Meet Tom Avery. Since he is human he isn’t one of the kids that his parents initially wanted him to be friends with but the two boys hit it off straight away while they were in first school and have been best friends ever since. Tom is the one that Kaleb is always able to turn to when he needs advice and vice versa and it was Tom and his family who took Kaleb in after the car crash. It was Tom that Kaleb first told about both becoming a hybrid and being pulled to Mystic Falls and each time he encouraged Kaleb to tell the rest of the group. I have put that Tom is a human for now but this can be changed when he is picked up or in the future, please just run it by me first. Tom should also be training to become a paramedic like in the show.

Phillip is Chloe’s younger brother. He has always been the most boisterous of the group due to the fact that he was born a werewolf and became one naturally when he reached maturity rather than having to trigger a curse. He was shocked when Kaleb told him that he had triggered his own curse and had become a warlock-werewolf hybrid but he stood by his friend and has helped Kaleb through each of the full moons after that.

Chloe is Phillip’s older sister and has always been the mother of the group given that she is a year older than most of them. She looks out for all of them and won’t let any harm come to them if she can help it. She has always been fairly practical and she even helped Kaleb plan his parents’ funeral, deal with their affairs and make sure that they all did everything they needed to make the transfer to Whitmore official.

Tammy is the only one in the group that is someone that Kaleb’s parents wanted him to befriend when he was younger. She too is of magical blood albeit not as strong as Kaleb’s and the two have been good friends ever since they were young. She was devastated by the death of Kaleb’s parents as they were like family to her as well and she helped support him as much as she could. Tammy has always been the bookworm of the group, she loves to learn and has the best grades out of the lot of them and often helps the others when they are struggling.

Ross is the member of the group who knows the most about the supernatural world and he has been doing his best to help the others navigate it. He first officially met Kaleb four years ago and became somewhat of a big brother to him before Kaleb finally found out what he really was. Ross does his best to look out for all of them but he is still hiding a secret – he was the best friend of Kaleb’s mother before she died. He and Yana grew up together and even after the rest of the coven turned against her he stood by her and worked as a double agent, feeding her information about what the coven’s plans for her family were and where and when they were going to strike. The last time he saw her he promised to watch over her boys and he did that from a distance while they were young before finally becoming a part of Kaleb’s life as a friend shortly after he became a teenager. He has yet to reveal his connection to Kaleb’s biological mother and is instead posing as a student at Whitmore with the rest of them although they do all know the truth about how old he is.
