friends. Hide and heal is a mantra Derek has had to rely upon heavily from the age of 15 onwards. Every time Derek has allowed himself close to people something tragic has happened. That hasn't stopped people from muscling into his life. These days he considers his pack friends, family. Scott, Chris, Allison, Lydia ... Stiles, he supposes.
enemies. Even without the Hale name Derek seems to have earned himself plenty of these ... first the Argents, most particularly Kate, the Alpha pack, now the Dread Doctors. It seems like there's always somebody out there determined to come after him and change who he is.
family. Very few of them are left alive. Once upon a time Derek Hale was the son of Talia Hale, a legendary Alpha, the brother of Cora and Laura, the nephew of Peter. There was always family around. These days only Cora and Peter are left.
lovers. Luck hasn't shone well on those Derek has fallen in love with. Forced to kill his first love when turning her into a werewolf went drastically wrong. His family almost all killed when the second set his house alight. The third attempting to pay the Alpha pack back by sacrificing half the town. Most recently Derek found himself tangled up with a hunter who almost killed him. Loving this man, it seems, is a total curse.

you mentioned Derek needed some threads so HERE I AM! danielle for sure needs some friends in her life and someone around her age such as Derek is PERFECT. plus he's all broody much like she is now and days. now there is a species difference which i feel would be a cool dynamic for a friendship.
as for ideas i'm not always the best at figuring them out i normally think them up as i go xD what do you got cookin' up where in that mind of yours? Any plans you have for Derek? |

Yus! He definitely does! Derek could absolutely do with some friends who didn't know the old him. He's gonna be turned back into a werewolf imminently but right now he's still a shifter and between not being himself and not knowing exactly what happened to him, he's struggling a little.
Could always start it out being a little angsty. With Danielle's brother turning back up (as soon as he's made XD), maybe Derek had spotted him around somewehre in town and as a last hurrah he tests himself out with the shapeshifting a little. I imagine it'd stun the crap out of here to come face to face with her brother ... or maybe thought she had and then go from there to Derek kinda coming clean and making it up?

Cruel or judgmental definitely aren't Derek. At the moment he's just finding his feet again as he's being turned back into a werewolf again. I can see him getting talking to someone a little at a time like this, although he's not likely to reveal too much about himself. He's still very touchy about hunters at the moment. If she was to reveal to him that she was one he likely wouldn't stick around too long to be friendly on that. It will change with time but for the moment it does remain a little awkward for him.

Alright, I'm just gonna say it. I think these two needs to have a bromance going on. Harrison has nothing but five older sisters and no friends in his life right now. He could use a really close guy friend. Harrison also isn't aware of being a hellhound, so maybe Derek could reveal to Harrison the supernatural world and maybe help the poor bastard out. Hell, they could be the next bad boys. Just lemme know what you think. |

I'm totally up for it! Derek needs some more friends around his own age, most he's close to are that bit younger. Derek definitely knows what it's like to have lots of strong women around him. What kind of revelation did you have in mind for Harrison? Something gentle or something totally shocking?

COUSIN! Yes we do! Me and Rissy hadn't really gotten too far with these two. We got one thread going here, with Stiles having sent Malia out to basically babysit Derek after he found out he was going out into the woods alone to try and find the Dread Docs' lair but that was it so far. I'm totally good with coming up with something new too, your choice! It'd just be good to have the two of them really getting to know one another especially with Peter ending up going dark-side adjacent again.

Poor Derek is still a shapeshifter. How does seeing someone's face and body entirely change sound for drama? Derek's been giving a couple of last hurrahs and checking out what he can do before Scott turns him back. Maybe he gets himself into a situation where he changes to fight something that he stumbles upon and poor Harrison walks right into that? |
