In 1950, lycanthropes in the United States made the decision to reveal themselves to the world, and everything changed.



Vampires followed soon after, if only to give themselves better control over the timing and circumstances of their discovery. It was only a matter of time, after all, before the humans discovered they were not alone.



Nowadays, the preternatural is simply… part of the world. The Department of Preternatural Affairs, or DPA, deals with everything from preternatural crime to registration to civil rights cases. Young vampires argue with Coven authorities over their right to chronicle their experiences on Instagram. Shifter packs are federally-recognized legal entities, and around the full moon it's not uncommon to see packs of wolves out roaming the streets in broad daylight. Life goes on, albeit a little weirder, and a little furrier, than before.



Urban Wildlife is a Jcink Premium, 18+ present-day modern supernatural game set in the fictional town of Wolf Neck, Maryland. Our site features four playable species to keep it simple, but with loads of subspecies to choose from! Whether you’re a human student traveling to Wolf Neck to study preternatural medicine, a centuries-old vampire dealing with the unpleasant reality of tax law, or a werebear DPA agent trying to enforce order in a constantly-shifting world, there’s room for everyone to shape the plot.
