 LUKEHENRYADAMSLuke is the older twin brother of Nick Adams and was born over five hundred years ago to two kitsune parents. Luke became an orphan at five years old when both of his parents died and he was unofficially adopted into the Harper family. He adjusted quickly and came to think of his best friend Sean's parents as his own. Shortly before his twentieth birthday he returned home to find his adoptive parents and the first girl he loved, Sean's younger sister Amy, killed by hunters. He, Nick and Sean have been moving around together and individually ever since. Friends;; Given the heartache he has endured and the fact that everyone he has ever known as died, Luke often finds it even more difficult to let people get close to him than his brother does. Luke often has a habit of pushing people away if he tinks they are getting too close to him but when someone makes it through his defences there isn't anything that he wouldn't do for them. Enemies;; Luke's habit of pushing people away can make him come off as cold and standoffish at first but it is just his defence mechanism to try and make sure that he doesn't end up getting hurt again. He has probably made a few enemies over the years but he is trying to leave that part of his life behind him. Lovers;; Over the years Luke has loved and lost a few times. The first girl he fell for was Sean's younger sister Amy although it wasn't until after she was gone that he realised just how much she had meant to him. Since then he has fallen in love with a werewolf who got on the wrong side of a group of hunters by not even trying to control herself during the full moon and a human whose side he stayed by as she got older while he remained the same. They were never blessed with any children and she was still relatively young when she died in her sleep leaving Luke broken hearted once more. Three hundred years have passed since then and Luke hasn't let him love anyone outside of his family since. Relationships;;NICK ADAMS - Twin brother, best friend

Definitely! I think having them meet around town could be good, or perhaps they could meet at the Grill and get talking over a few drinks. It would probably take him a little while to open up but if she wasn't going to take no for an answer then he would give in and talk to her although he would probably try and focus on her problems to distract himself from his own

You won't hear any arguments from me, it has been far too long since we last had a thread  I don't have a partner lined up for him yet so that works perfectly. I'm sure we could get them to that point and I think it would probably happen over the course of a couple of threads so it would be interesting to see that trust start to build. Luke will have to keep what he is a secret but once he gets to know her then he will look out for her, perhaps if they were attacked by something while they were out at some point his instincts could kick in and she could start to question what he is? That would probably be better for when they trust each other so she wouldn't be scared of him though For now I think it would be interesting to have them find out they're going to be working together and go from there.

That works for me, yeah! I don't think Luke will be too happy about having to share an office either but he'll probably know that he has to play nicely to avoid making things awkward. Do you want to stat something or shall I?

I love the idea of these two being close, family means the world to Luke so he would have been there to support the two of them after they lost their son. I think Luke was probably off on his own for a bit before moving to Mystic Falls so perhaps he could perhaps plan to surprise Nick and Lauren at the house as soon as he arrives in town and Lauren could be there on her own so they could catch up?

I thought I'd throw a post in here after what we discussed on Skype earlier. I love the idea of Michael working for the sheriff's department in some semi-official way and couldn't figure out how to squeeze a CIA agent in there. The CI idea would absolutely work though. If Luke's still Gwen's partner then maybe they had some interaction before (Gwen is helping Michael with the hunt for whoever was behind the deaths of his wife and child), then when Michael came across some information about illegal things happening in town he comes to Luke with that information. |

That definitely works for me. Ele and I plotted that he and Gwen were going to work together but their thread is only just getting going so we can always improvise a little. Maybe Luke saw Michael around when he was waiting for Gwen, then if she isn't available he could step in? @genevieve
I really like that idea, Luke could do with getting to know some of the people he works with. Do you have anything specific in mind for the case or shall we just keep it general for now?

That would totally work for me. When Gwen was partnered with Zach both Gwen and Michael were keen to keep him out of the investigation. Perhaps since she started helping Michael he's been spending more time around the station and so Luke would be familiar with him at least being there on occasion. Then when Michael can't find Gwen, he goes to the next best person. Did you want to start something for the two of them or would you like me to add it to my list?

Luke has been in town for a couple of months so perhaps we could do a thread where they have interacted a bit but this could be their first chance to talk properly? I know Luke would have a lot of respect for Liz and if she ever needs someone to confide in then he would be happy to listen. @genevieve
I think finding a body that has been staked might be a little too obvious in Mystic Falls so perhaps something a little more discreet? Maybe something like one of them worked one case that is still open where the body was drained of blood but it wasn't easy to tell from the body how that came about, then they could both respond to the same call about a second body and decide to team up? Luke is a flirt so they could always have talked around the station a bit beforehand and be familiar with one another.

Nick and Luke were born over six hundred years ago so it will depend on how far back you and @marie want to say that the Argent family goes. I've just checked and in the show Kate said they had been hunting for at least four hundred years but they could have gone back further if you want. Nick and Luke never learned who killed their adoptive family but it might be interesting if one or both of them meets Allison and then she finds an entry in an old journal somewhere that tips her off that it was her family. Luke, Nick and the family are just trying to live their lives in peace so they won't want any trouble.

OK. So I wanted to go ahead and post here so we can get our thoughts and ideas out for what we have planned! So Dani here has been in the F.B.I. for the past three years and has transferred to being a detective here at Mystic Falls Police Department.
So, these two could be assigned to be partners. Which will be an interesting pair for sure! A kitsune and a vampire walk into a bar... lmao, im a silly bitch ignore me. anyways! we can have it to where dani is at work when she most definitely should not be seeing as if she's only just turned into a vampire like a month or so ago so she is still trying to figure things the hell out.
what i'm thinking is that perhaps someone cuts themselves at the department and because she still doesn't have full control, excuses herself from talking with luke and goes outside, trying to calm herself down. something like that maybe?
up to you though! im open to pretty much anything! so if you have any ideas please feel free to shoot them my way! |
