━ there was not a part of him that was not broken ━ Kaz almost had them. He was so close but when he entered the dark alleyway, he heard the unmistakable sound of muffled screams and as he moved closer and closer to the sound, it became more pronounced until it all stopped and that was when he saw her, feasting on his prey when it should've been him instead pulling those pained noises out of them. He had marveled at the thought earlier, of making squirm and beg for him to let go of them only for him to cut them open until they colored the pavement below the color crimson. But now his plan was ruined and it was all thanks to that woman who seemed to be feasting on them so hungrily that it made his mouth water with the desire to sink his own teeth into them because he wanted them to experience the same pain he had experienced at the hands of their kind. Those pesky humans who believed they were the ruler of the world when they were only worms waiting to be squished under the heel of someone much stronger than them and it should have been his heel that had squashed them, not hers.
"They were mine." Kaz revealed his presence with that comment, his annoyance coloring his voice as he looked at the messy scene before his eyes. He nudged the leg of one of the fallen hunters but he didn't seem to be alive anymore. What a fucking shame. It annoyed him to no end that he had been late when he was always the one inflicting pain upon these pesky little creatures. Now though? Now he was nothing more than a mere watcher and it made the edges of his lips drop down into a small frown. "Could you not have picked anyone else, siren?" He knew of her kind. Had seen them before, mostly in action. They were fascinating creatures in his eyes but now he was just annoyed by her inference altogether. He had plans for those hunters but now that they were both dead, he couldn't do shit about it.
Kaz almost considered bringing them to someone with the ability to bring people from the dead only so he could kill them after talking to them. But that would simply be a waste of his time and he had wasted enough of his time in this shitty town as it is. But even with that thought crossing his mind, he still has yet to look away from the gruesome scene. At least their last moments alive were not pleasant ones. He was content with that, at least. He released a sigh, loud enough to be heard, and kneeled down to pat the hunter's corpse for anything that could be of use to him. A gloved hand roughly turned the man onto his side so he could check his back pockets as well. He retrieved the man's wallet and flicked it open with his thumb to check if he had anything that could be of use to him. "I was planning on talking to them, so thank you, for ruining that for me. I appreciate it." The bite of sarcasm was clear in his voice as he tossed the wallet on the hunter's corpse when he didn't find anything of use in there. Great, now he was back to square one, huh?

━ watch me make them bow ━ IT HAD BEEN OBVIOUS TO HARMONY FROM THE MOMENT she saw them. They were dumb━or self-absorbed━enough to think they were untouchable. She saw the glimmer of a pistol wrapped around one of their ankles (not hidden well enough under his pant leg, but professionally strapped down nonetheless), and overheard them talking about shifters in town. That sort of sold it for her. They didn’t have to be talking about Viktor’s-her pack, or about werewolves at all━they were a threat, and she’d neutralize them… and figure out her next “meal” at the same time.
She still hadn’t come around to telling Viktor the truth about this. Maybe she never would. He never had to see it, but, God, just imagining it was gross enough. Even Harmony thought it was disgusting, she just couldn’t stop when their flesh touched her lips. She needed it. It fed a hunger that would otherwise be insatiable.
She would die without it.
And Viktor could love everything else about her (somehow), so she thought this would be okay to hide. This secret would stay under wraps, and that was alright for now. He got most of the truth, and he seemed happy enough with it.
Harmony was happy, too. Which was weird. It felt weird, and wrong, like she never should’ve had it. But it was her mom’s voice in the back of her head trying to convince her that Viktor did not (and would never) truly love her.
She turned on the ability she’d shown him; the one that would make everyone in this bar look at her. Harmony tried to focus it towards only the hunters, but she could see the bartender looking in her direction, and a few people at a table across the room. She slipped up to the men and brushed her hand over one of their arms, engaging in conversation for only as long as she had to. It didn’t take long before they were following her outside.
Harmony kissed one and infected him, commanding him to stay silent (and patient) while she started in on his friend. It didn’t stop the first “snack” from screaming, but she ate through his vocal cords first and let him collapse. She dragged the one under her spell to the ground, and put him out of his misery. He was a stupid fucking hunter, but he didn’t deserve to be eaten alive. Plus… that was way more disgusting than she could handle.
Sitting in the back of the alley, Harmony munched through her dinner, and jumped when a voice penetrated her solitude. At least this guy seemed kinda chill (eerily so), and didn’t start screaming like that fucking banshee that ended up being Hazel’s dad.
“You wanted to eat them first?” She scoffed, “Sorry, dude, didn’t know you had first dibs. Try putting a tag on them next time. Y’know, like how farmers do to chickens and cows.” Harmony ground a piece of them━him━between her teeth and frowned at the lanky dude. He was sorta cute in a serial killer kinda way, sorta gaunt, like he didn’t eat very often. Jesus, he was welcome to help gnaw his way through the second one if he really wanted.
Siren. He called her by name. Well, no, that wasn’t her name, but most people wouldn’t know what she was right off the bat. There were probably ten other “creatures” who ate people. Like, vampires, for one. He wasn’t one, was he? A siren. No. There weren’t dude sirens, were there? Harmony figured she could turn herself into a guy, but she’d never tried that. It seemed weird. “Mmm, no. They were asking for it.”
She watched him almost nervously, pausing on the arm she was chomping through to focus on the stranger, watching him move. She didn’t know what he wanted, but he was kinda weird. And he made her a little nervous. But, if he wanted to hurt hunters, then he was probably one of the good guys, right? Jesus, she didn’t know how this shit worked. Supernatural politics were so fucking stupid.
“You’re welcome.” Harmony replied, sending a sharp smile his way. She narrowed her eyes slightly, then rolled them and scoffed. “I don’t think they were gonna tell you anything. Kind of fucking empty-headed, just talking shit about shifters in public like idiots.” She tossed a few blonde strands away from her face before slowly taking another bite. “Talk to them about what? Who are you?” Harmony asked as she chewed, blue eyes flicking over him curiously. “If you’re looking for cash, this one might have something.” She didn’t think that’s what it was, though. Hopefully she’d find out soon enough.

━ there was not a part of him that was not broken ━ Kazimir glanced over at the siren, just the sight of her chomping on them made something twist in his stomach — maybe he was just upset that he hadn't been the one to put them through that pain. It wasn't disgust, though. If that vision disgusted him, then he certainly had no stomach for the real world, huh? “It's fine,” He gritted through his teeth because as much as it annoyed him, she had no way of knowing that he was after them and she didn't seem to know who he was, so there was no way she was purposefully getting in his way. She was just hungry. So was he, but for vengeance, not flesh. “I'll keep that in mind next time.” The sarcasm was visible in his tone as he regarded her with a disinterested look. Next time, he will just have to be quicker. He won't play with his food next time — he will make sure to be the one to get his hands on them first. It was almost considered mercy for them to die this way. It was an almost because it looked painful as hell to die by her hands like this.
It almost made him want to get to know her.
“You've got quite the appetite for someone so... small.” Kazimir looked over at her, one brow quirked up as he regarded her with a look that almost gave away the fact that he was impressed by what he was currently seeing. Kazimir tsked when she mentioned that they were asking for it. He glanced over at their dead bodies, his annoyance leaving a bitter taste on his tongue. A taste he wished that he'd gotten a chance to wash away with the taste of their blood.
“Умник.” Smartass. He mumbled under his breath as he glanced down with disdain at the deceased man. Of course he wouldn't have anything on him that would make Kazimir's life a little easier. He paused at her words, looking over his shoulder for a moment. “I see.” He added a moment later, his eyes relaxing on the dead hunter once again. “They had a habit of doing that. Running their mouths.” Kazimir glared at the dead corpse for what seemed like the umpteenth time. When she asked what he had to talk to them about, he didn't answer, though when she asked who he was, he looked over at her again. “Nobody important.” Kazimir offered back instead of his actual name.
“Thanks, I'm good.” Kazimir sighed and finally stopped looking for anything useful on the guy because now he knew for a fact that the bastard had nothing on him that would benefit him. “Do you happen to know someone who can do magic? I want to know where they lived. It's the least you can do for ruining my plan.” And his night, too. But he wasn't going to say that because he didn't have anything against supernaturals. Humans were more of his enemy, especially hunters. “I'll pay handsomely too, for the help.” Kazimir finally turned to face her properly, one brow quirked up and his eyes fixed on her. “So, what do you say?”

━ watch me make them bow ━ THE SKINNY DUDE DIDN’T HAVE A SENSE OF HUMOUR, WHICH WAS probably to be fucking expected. How could you laugh when you were hungry and depressed all the time? Seriously, Harmony knew she wasn’t the most tanned white girl in the world (fake tans helped with that), but at least she wasn’t fucking translucent. And he needed a haircut. Damn emo kids.
She quirked a brow at his comment about her appetite. Harmony didn’t really know how to reply to that one━it was weird that he wasn’t freaked out about her, uh, eating habits. “Well, y’know,” She muttered, taking another bite. “Been a while between meals.” And if he knew anything about sirens (like he seemed to), then he’d know ignoring her “cravings” for too long could end up being a big problem.
His Russian had her hiding a smirk into her next bite; Harmony wouldn’t respond, wouldn’t make out like she knew what he was saying; it was more fun to see if he’d let anything else go in another language because he thought she couldn’t understand.
“Well, y’know what they say,” She hummed, “Snitches get stitches and end up in ditches… or my digestive tract.” Harmony scoffed at her own, kinda shitty, joke, and took another few bites. It was gonna take forever for her to get through these guys. Especially if he wasn’t gonna… help.
She wanted to know what he was trying to talk to them about, though. Clearly he’d had some kind of beef, and it was important to him enough to chase them out here, but also not be that mad that Harmony was eating them. And he didn’t wanna tell her who he was. What kind of answer was ‘nobody important’? “Yeah, I figured that out.” Harmony smirked, blue eyes ticking up to his face. He was all hollow and sunken looking. “But I meant a name. Or a reason. Were they involved in hunting some werewolves a few weeks ago?” It didn’t really matter now━and was kind of a long shot━but she wanted to know if these guys knew about the hunters that’d tried to kill Viktor. She’d killed the rest of them for touching him, but that didn’t mean they couldn’t have friends near by, or a bigger extension to their “group.” Either way, she hoped this was the last of them.
The least she could do? Ha. Harmony scoffed and rolled her eyes, amused that this idiot thought she cared that much about him or his “plan.” Fuck no.
He did seem like a decent person to have around, though━if he knew any omegas. Her first priority was still Viktor and her pack (which was weird, because for years it’d been herself), and the more people they could add to strengthen their numbers, the better. Viktor wouldn’t be left alone to die in the street like that ever again━neither would the rest of them.
Harmony just didn’t know if she could subject Alex to doing any spells for this guy. Could Viktor really turn his nose up at a real business transaction, though? They needed money, and he didn’t like when she used her abilities to get it. Plus, she wouldn’t let Alex go alone.
“I don’t have to do fuck all for you.” She muttered, slowly pushing off the rest of the body and standing. She was covered in blood, and absently wiped at the splotches around her cheek, though it didn’t do much except smear it around. “But I’ll have to see. All you want is a locator spell?” Harmony didn’t know much about “their world,” but that was a common one. “You got a number, Mister I-Don’t-Have-A-Name? I’ll text you if I can do anything.” She pulled her phone from her pocket and opened a New Contact tab, then handed it over, staring at him expectantly.

━ there was not a part of him that was not broken ━ Kazimir released a small hum at that, eyeing the siren for a few curious moments, just to watch her, really. He had always been curious about sirens and seeing one of them eat was a surprisingly gruesome sight, but for someone who was accustomed to the sight of blood and gore, it didn't seem to bother him all that much. If anything, the smell of blood was inviting — it begged him to give in, to have a taste of his own and while he would love nothing more than to sink his sharp teeth into the hunters' flesh, he had unfinished business to attend to and not to mention he was rarely ever the type to relax for long enough that he'd put down his guard and just allow himself to eat away at the flesh of others with so much leisure. Like the siren was doing, for example.
The sight of the blood covering the lower half of her face should put him off, should send him warning signals to keep his distance, but instead he stood rooted and watched her as she ate. “You'd better get your fill, then.” Kazimir offered back, his tone remaining cool as he spoke, never giving too much away, always on the edge of being too guarded despite having nothing against other supernaturals.
Kazimir lifted an eyebrow at her words before he released a scoff at her joke. “Bon appétit, I suppose.” Kazimir made a gesture for her to keep eating, with a soft sigh falling from his lips. No use crying over spilled milk, right? It wasn't like he could re-attach their limbs and bring them back to life just to question them.
“Is that supposed to offend me?” He questioned with a brow raised when she responded to his statement with that. Kazimir seemed to think about something for a moment before he shrugged his shoulders. “I don't know what they've been up to lately, but considering the history they carry, I wouldn't put it past them to be involved in such a thing.” Kazimir answered, probably being quite unhelpful with that response, but it was only because he'd been so focused on his own revenge that he failed to pay attention to whatever else they were up to. “You could ask them. Oh, wait, you're eating them.” Kazimir's lips stretched into a smile and while it was a rare sight, it was a sarcastic one that didn't even reach his eyes before he shook his head and looked down again before an idea seemed to pop in his head.
“You don't. But it would be a good thing to have me on your side, for when you need me. I can be helpful.” For the right price, but he figured he'd do a one-time exception for her. He nodded his head at her question and then looked down at the offered phone. Kazimir pursed his lips and for a moment, he seemed to wonder whether that was a good idea or not, but he reached for her phone regardless. He lifted his hand to his mouth to bite the very tip of his gloved middle finger to get the glove off. He typed in his number and saved his contact under 'K'. He handed her the phone before wearing his glove again. “Call me when you have what I need, not before then.” Kazimir looked at her before giving her a quick nod of his head as a goodbye.
He turned around and began to head to the entrance of the alleyway before he stopped and looked over his shoulder. “Stay alive, siren.” And with that, he departed, leaving behind a bloody and messy sight. But it was her responsibility now, was it not? He had other places to be, anyway.
