Hope had ditched Mystic Falls after killing Josie and ultimately saving the supernatural world from a mass extinction by ridding the world of a conniving bastard that wore the mask of an angel but he was no angel, he was a monster, more of a monster than she ever was or will be. Actually, scratch that. She might have just become worse than Ben's father. Was that not what she was meant to be, though? Being the daughter of the history's most ruthless killer ━ it was in her blood to become like this. She was only proving the world right after it had conspired against her for so long. They say that being a leader is easy, but in Hope's experience, it was anything but, because being a leader meant having to pick the world over your loved ones, it meant having to give up on the person you love the most in order to save everyone else ━ it meant getting her hands dirty when she didn't want to.
After she drove that angel's blade through Josie's chest and heart, it had hurt so terribly as though she was driving the blade through her own heart. That day, they had planned everything from the beginning to the end, they had been confident that they were going to win against Ben's father but just like how he had overpowered them before, he easily did it again when he realized his manipulative plan. That day, he didn't show up because he was already among them, using Josie's body to hide in plain sight. She should have known, she should have seen it coming but god, why didn't she? Why did she have to screw everything up? Why did she have to give that bastard the chance to win again? She stood there in the ruins as she watched him kill her friends ━ he had even managed to kill Ben permanently, fulfilling his promise of killing his son after many, many years of putting his son through unimaginable suffering. Hope couldn't move, it felt as though her feet were glued to the ground. There were flames surrounding her, dead bodies of her friends and people she adored, and there were screams ━ she could hear Jed's screams as he called out to Ben, not caring if the flames burned his skin as he helplessly tried to pull Ben's body away from the flames.
Hope could only stare in disbelief at her girlfriend ━ no, at Ben's dad ━ as she approached with a single intent in mind. Delivering the final blow and that was when Hope moved. She had to, she had to. She managed to get close enough to Josie and she could tell that Raziel thought she wouldn't have the guts to kill her girlfriend from the way he was taunting her but she had to save those who were left. She had to... Hope told herself over and over again that it was for the greater good as she shoved the angel blade through the heart of her girlfriend until her eyes glowed brightly and the same bright light left her lips and that was when all the pain she had felt simply faded away.
She disappeared not long after, leaving behind the wreckage and the destruction that was caused by Raziel because she simply could not find it in herself to care.
Don't you see where caring has landed her?
She put as much distance as possible between her and Mystic Falls because she knew that her friends and family were going to stop at nothing to bring her back ━ but thing is, she didn't want to feel anything again, she didn't want them to bring her back either. But it seemed like no matter how far she would go, they were always going to find her.
Hope dropped the little dessert she had been eating and came to a stop with a roll of her eyes. She had pretended for long enough that she couldn't hear them, right? It was about time to spoil their little plan to surprise her. "You know I can hear you, right?" Hope's voice was chilly as she spoke, devoid of any emotions. "I thought my message was pretty clear." The bodies she'd left behind should've been a big sign that she didn't want to be found or rescued, but her friends were stubborn, weren't they? She'd just have to break that stubbornness apart until there's nothing behind.
Break them apart.
Hope watched as they started coming out of their hiding spots one after the other and her expression turned into something with sinister intent. "This has to look like the worst album cover of all time." Hope's voice was mocking and unkind as she spoke, her lips stretching into a grin that lacked any genuine feeling in it. It looked almost alien on her features. "Where's Jed? Oh, right, he's MIA too, isn't he?" Hope continued to mock with the same unkind tone. Her eyes scanned the features of her friends until she heard someone behind her and that was when she turned around and immediately paused when her eyes relaxed on none other than Josie.
"Josie?"

Josie had made mistakes in the past but she had never been filled with as much regret as she was right now. She had honestly thought that she was helping her friends, Raziel had reached out to her and he had made her an offer – his host couldn’t contain him and would die if he didn’t find a new one, one that was strong enough to hold him, and he had wanted her. Josie hated the angel after everything that he had done, he had killed her and Hope and had taken pleasure in doing so and the words to refuse were on the tip of her tongue but then he said something that she couldn’t ignore. If she refused then he would go after her friends and family right away and he would kill everyone that she loved. Josie and her friends had been working on a way to stop him but they weren’t quite there yet so she knew that she had to do something. He gave her his word that if she agreed then he would spare her friends for now and that would give them time to figure something out. Josie had wanted time to think it over but he had refused, insisting that this was a limited time offer and he needed an answer straight away. Josie had hoped to be able to talk to her friends about it first but she wasn’t given that chance. She made him swear that he would honour his end of the bargain, even casting a spell to make sure that if he didn’t then he would die, and with that agreement in place Josie sent a text to Hope telling her that she loved her and that she hoped she would understand one day before agreeing to the deal, knowing that it was the only way to keep the people she cared about safe. Of course she should have known that Raziel would never hold up his end of the deal but Josie had seen it as the only way to keep them all safe and she had thought that her spell would be strong enough to bind him to it. As it was she’d had to watch as he had slaughtered so many of her friends and she had heard Jed’s anguished cries as Ben’s body fell to the ground, lifeless in a way it had been so many times before only this time his death was permanent. In that moment Josie managed to break through, taking back control for a few moments just long enough to give Hope a target that wasn’t going to disappear before she was able to do what she had to do. The world around them seemed to be in total chaos as Hope plunged the angel blade through her heart but then there was a moment of calmness before everything fell away and there was nothing. It was with a sharp intake of breath that Josie found herself back among the land of the living once more, or at least as much as a heretic could be given that she had already died to become one. Beside her Ben had just woken up too and she could see that he was just as confused as she was. Josie had no idea how much time had passed but Henrik told them that it had been a while. Apparently it wasn’t as easy to bring back those who were killed with angel blades if they weren’t brought back straight away. He had been able to bring Olivia back when she was killed by one but she had only been dead for a couple of minutes, not like her and Ben. They had been dead for longer and it had made it more of a challenge but he had managed it and Josie was grateful to him for that. Their other friends had been brought back too but Josie knew that the damage was done. None of her friends had known why she had made the deal with Raziel, that she had done it to protect them, but after she explained they seemed to understand. Hearing what had happened to Hope and Jed was enough to break her heart, Hope was the person she loved most in the world and Jed was her brother. She hated that they were hurting so much because of her actions and she knew that she needed to make it right. She could see the same anguish on Ben’s face but he was pushing himself up straight away, asking Henrik where Jed was before taking off as soon as he had his answer. That left Josie alone with her friends and she honestly had no idea how she was ever going to earn their forgiveness but she knew that right now she needed to focus on Hope. Henrik had told her about the bodies that her girlfriend had been leaving in her wake and Josie knew that she must have turned her humanity off. It was the only thing that made sense and Josie knew that she had to find a way to get through to Hope. This wasn’t her, she was a good person who had been through something awful and Josie knew that she couldn’t let Hope lose sight of that. Tracking her down was the easy part, getting through to her was going to be much more difficult but Josie knew that she wasn’t going to give up. She and the others kept their distance, keeping an eye on Hope until she said that she could hear them. One by one they started emerging but Josie stayed where she was, knowing that she needed to give them a moment before she made her presence known. As Hope asked about Jed, Josie took that as her cue and she emerged from behind Hope. “He is right now but he won’t be for long. Ben has gone to find him,” she said gently as she took a few steps closer to Hope. “Hey baby,” she said, offering her a small smile as she approached. “It’s so good to see you.”HOPE MIKAELSON

Hope should have known that her family and friends were going to stop at nothing to bring her back — to convince her to switch her humanity back on and having them around her like this proved that she had been right all along. She had purposefully made it easy for them to track her because finding her was going to be nothing compared to convincing her to come back because Hope had already made up her mind — Mystic Falls was a town that reminded her of her failures, it reminded her of what she had lost and what she had failed to protect. It reminded her that she could be the strongest creature to walk the earth but still would fail in protecting the people that she cared about. It didn't take long for her to guess that her uncle had brought her friends back to life. It must have drained his energy, it must have affected him in ways that he had forced himself to put up with for the sake of others. It almost made her laugh because the Mikaelson family really was the most ruthless family out there but in the same breath, it was a family that cared so deeply that it would easily become their ruin. Everyone in the family had their weak point and it won't take long for their enemies to exploit these weaknesses because that's what you get for making yourself feel something for someone.
Hope should have known that her Uncle would find a way to bring Josie back, too. She should have known. But there was a brief hint of surprise that crossed her once cruel features when her eyes relaxed upon none other than Josie. She felt something in her chest, something that she trampled on again and again with her heel until it was extinguished. No. No, she was not going to feel anything ever again. No she wasn't going to let Josie get back in only to lose her again. She wasn't going to make the same mistake again. Fool her once, right? But try as she might to feel nothing at all, her expression softened and her eyes remained fixed on Josie. "You're alive..." Hope whispered as she watched Josie move closer to her, she allowed her to cross the distance that Hope so adamantly placed between her and the Super Squad and not to mention her own family, too. "How...?" Hope questioned shortly after, her eyes still scanning over Josie's features, taking her in. She had missed her. She had missed the sound of her voice, her warmth, and the feeling of her soft skin underneath her fingertips. She had longed to hear her voice for so long, hell she even dreamed of it but she would never admit that. Each night she'd wake up in cold sweat, remembering what she had lost over and over again.
Hope's eyes filled with unshed tears as she reached out slowly to touch Josie, to make sure that she was real and the realization that she was real filled her heart with warmth.
Hope dropped her hand and quirked a brow as she stared at Josie. "This is what you're expecting to happen, isn't it? For me to see you and suddenly feel something and to go back to my old self again? Well, it didn't work." Hope wiped the tears away before she let out an unkind chuckle. "So I take it Uncle Henrik brought you all back, huh? Including Ben? I must say, I preferred it when you were all dead. Less — Noisy."
"Uncle Henrik really outdid himself this time, didn't he?" Her Uncle might be one of the most powerful warlocks but if there was anyone who was going to push him to his demise, it would be himself. "Always trying so hard to make everything better. A true hero but this is getting ridiculous now, isn't it? Because he's cleaning up the mess that you created." Hope's words had a cruel bite to them, each word was delivered with the intent to hurt, to bruise and to break. and just like that, the distance between them had grown ten timers larger than before and her cruelty was once again visible in her eyes.

Josie really didn’t know how she was going to get through to Hope or how Ben was going to get through to Jed, it had to have been awful for them to see people they loved die and it wasn’t the first time that it had happened either. Ben had died before but he had always come back, the curse had made sure of that, but now the curse was broken there wasn’t anything to return him to her brother this time around. As for Josie, she had died during the first attack Ben’s father had unleashed on them and so had Hope. She hoped Ben would be able to find a way to make Jed turn his humanity back on and while it was true that Josie was worried about her brother, she knew that for the time being she needed to focus on her girlfriend instead, if that’s even what Hope still was. Josie still loved her, there wasn’t a doubt in her mind about that, but she couldn’t deny that she was worried that Hope might never be able to forgive her for what she had done. Right now Hope didn’t understand the reasons behind it, all she knew was that Raziel had taken over Josie’s body and used her to kill so many people that they both cared about. Josie had been forced to watch while he did all of those things, screaming for him to stop, but he hadn’t listened to her. He had promised that he wouldn’t hurt them and her spell should have worked but he was too strong and there wasn’t anything that she could do to stop him. She had managed to regain control for a brief moment, just long enough to make sure that she stayed still while Hope killed them both, but it had worked and it had at least made sure that the rest of her friends were safe. That should have been the end of her story and it would have been had Henrik not found a way to bring her back. She was grateful to him for giving her another chance at life but now she had to pick up the pieces and try to put right some of the damage she had caused and the truth was that she had no idea how she was going to do that. She could see the surprise on Hope’s face when their eyes met and that at least was enough to give Josie a glimmer of hope. She could try to deny it all she wanted but there was still something there, still a part of the Hope she had fallen in love with that all of the grief hadn’t wiped away. Hope’s expression softened and Josie felt a small smile touch her lips as Hope said she was alive. “That’s right,” she nodded, knowing that no matter how small it might be, it was progress at least. Josie stayed still as Hope’s hand reached out to her and she leaned into her girlfriend’s touch. “I’m the wrong person to ask for details about that, you’d need to speak to your uncle,” she said, reaching up and running her fingers lightly over Hope’s cheek. Just seeing the pain she had caused was enough to make Josie’s heart ache, she wanted nothing more than to undo the damage she had done to all of them and make things go back to the way they used to be but she couldn’t do that, what’s done was done and all she could do was make sure that no one else got hurt. Hope’s next words were cold but Josie knew that she couldn’t give up on her. “I know you feel something, I can see it,” Josie said gently. It was only for a moment but there was a flicker of the old Hope and Josie knew that she had to hold onto that. “We both know you don’t mean that. You did all of this because you were hurting, it doesn’t have to be like that anymore,” she said, hoping that her words would get through to Hope. Even before they got together they were best friends so her death always would have affected Hope but Josie had never wanted this. “He did. I didn’t think it was even possible,” Josie admitted. Bringing people back from the Other Side and Heaven was one thing, Henrik had done that before, but bring back people who were killed by angel blades was something different entirely and yet he had still somehow managed it. “He did what he thought was best and I’m grateful to it, so are Ben and the others he brought back,” she said, doing her best not to let the bite in Hope’s words get to her too much. “You don’t know the full story Hope. You might never forgive me for what I did but I did it to protect you and the others. Raziel’s host was dying and he came to me to offer a deal – if I refused to become his new host then he was going to go and kill you, the Squad, my family and everyone else I’ve ever known but if I agreed then he would leave town and let you all live. It was the only way I could buy you all some time to find a way to stop him once and for all,” she explained, her eyes searching Hope’s as she spoke. She had told their friends the short version of the story before but she knew that she had to tell Hope the whole truth. “He said he was going to start with you, Lizzie and Jed and I couldn’t let him do that. I cast a spell that was meant to kill him if he broke his end of the deal but it didn’t work. I tried to stop him but I couldn’t, all I could do was take control long enough to stay still while you killed both of us.”HOPE MIKAELSON

Hope was quiet as she listened to Josie speak. Of course seeing her alive had something to do with her Uncle, he'd be nothing if not a persistent man with a heart that was simply too kind to turn a blind eye to something that was not his problem to begin with. Josie's touch proved to Hope that she wasn't a fragment of her emotionless imagination and that this was very real. She was torn between moving closer to the touch or pulling away entirely.
In the end, she did pull away and her unkind words were quick to follow as she quickly built the walls back up again, refusing to let Josie in again, refusing to let anyone in again because she was tired of losing people she cared about, even if in the end they could still be brought back. She was tired of watching the people that she loves die right before her eyes. She wasn't going to let them in again. Fool her once, right? Hope was quiet as she listened to Josie before she shook her head. "That's where you're wrong, Jo." Hope was quick to deny as she took a small step closer but unlike the other times where she was choosing to close the distance between her and her girlfriend, this time, it was completely different because there was no warmth in her eyes and there was no emotion on her face that showcased that she was still Hope.
"I didn't do this because I was hurting. I did this because I wanted to. I did it because it was fun." Hope opened her arms as she revealed that, an aura of carelessness embracing each word, leaving it clear that she wasn't acting out of hurt. "Don't try to appeal to my humanity, Josie. It's never coming back." Hope lowered her arms shortly after and slowly began circling around Josie, her eyes scanning her from head to toe before her eyes momentarily settled on their friends when she saw MG move but then he came to a stop when he noticed that Hope could read him like an open book. Her attention drifted back to Josie as she began talking, one brow slowly quirking up when she mentioned that he did what he thought was best. She was quiet as she continued to listen to Josie and when she mentioned that she didn't know the full story, she came to a halt in front of Josie again. "Even if I don't know the full story, it's pretty clear what happened, isn't it?" Hope made a gesture regardless for Josie to continue as she looked at her with the same blank eyes.
As she explained the deal that Raziel had offered, there was a frown already beginning to form on her features as her eyes grew heated with a glare as she continued listening to Josie. "Then you should have let him come for us because at least then, we would've been together. You should have had faith in me, and your little – group that we would have been able to hold our ground because it's so clear that he was doing all of this to pull us apart. You're one of our strongest links and without you, we were so lost. Do you have any idea what your text did to me? No, I'm sure you didn't because you were too busy being a martyr. You think what you did was selfless, Josie, but it's not. It's selfish and stupid and you're right, I am not going to forgive you for that because if you had trusted me even for the slightest bit, none of this would've happened. We were supposed to be in this together." Hope's words were cruel as she hissed them out through gritted teeth, her eyes filled with fiery rage. "Even if we had lost that night, at least then we would've lost together and it would have been enough." Hope shook her head with the same frown still tugging visibly on her features before her expression eased back into nothingness.
"You've got a lot of nerve coming here trying to rescue me when you're the reason I'm like this in the first place." Upon delivering those cruel words, MG was quick to jump to Josie's defense but Hope silenced him with a spell. "Silencio." The spell tumbled out of her lips gracefully and with satisfied eyes, she watched as MG's lips disappear entirely. "Much better, isn't it?" Hope asked with a small mischievous grin tugging at the corner of her lips before her attention drifted back to Josie. "Now listen to me because I won't be giving you this chance again. Turn around and leave, this is your final warning, Josie. There's nothing left for you to save. Let's hope for your sake and everyone else's that I never see you again because I will kill you all. Go."

Josie really wasn’t sure if she was even going to be able to get through to Hope but she knew that she had to try. Henrik had told her that Hope and Jed had both turned their humanity off and left and she knew that she needed to do her best to fix things with both of them even if the damage she had done was irreparable. She knew that she should have turned down Raziel’s offer and put her faith in Hope and their friends but she honestly hadn’t felt like she had another choice at the time. They weren’t ready to take him on, they hadn’t found a way to kill him or trap him and she had wanted to avoid any bloodshed. In the end the opposite had happened, Raziel had killed a number of her friends and he had killed Ben. Josie had managed to take control for a moment, just long enough for Hope to kill them both, and Josie had died knowing that her girlfriend and brother were both safe but she had known that their hearts were broken and there wasn’t anything that she could do about it. She had never wanted to hurt anyone, all she had wanted was to protect the people she cared about, but in making the deal with Raziel she had meant that she wasn’t there to fight alongside them and she wasn’t sure if any of them would ever truly forgive her for that. “I don’t think so. I saw a glimmer of the real you, the girl I fell in love with is still in there,” Josie said, knowing that nothing Hope said would convince her otherwise. They had grown up together and they were best friends before they got together. A lot might have changed recently but Josie was certain that the real Hope was in there somewhere, she just had to find a way to get through to her. As Hope said she didn’t turn off her humanity because she was hurting she did it because it was fun, Josie shook her head. “You don’t mean that Hope. I know you and you’re not a killer. You’re still the same girl who volunteered with me at the animal shelter that summer, the same girl who went out of her way to help me feel comfortable in my own skin when I was struggling with my sexuality. You’re a good person Hope, that doesn’t just go away forever because you decided to turn it all off.” Josie knew that sooner or later Hope would find her way back, she just had to try and give her a helping hand before she did anything else that she would end up regretting. She had talked to Stefan for a while after she completed her transition and he had told her that even in his darkest moments there had always been something to bring him back to the light and that the same was true of the other vampires that he had known as well. Josie knew that there wasn’t anyone else in the world like Hope but she knew that she had to believe that this would be the same for her. Josie knew that she had to make Hope understand why she had done it but by the time she was done she could see just how angry Hope was and Josie couldn’t blame her. She knew that her intentions had been good but she had screwed up and perhaps there wasn’t any way for her to come back from that but she still knew that she wasn’t going to give up on Hope no matter how hard she tried to push her away. One thing Josie knew for sure was that she was never going to give up on someone she loved, she never had done before and she definitely wasn’t going to start now. All she could do was listen as Hope got it all out of her system, her heart breaking with every word that her girlfriend spoke. Rather, her ex-girlfriend spoke it seemed. Josie wasn’t naive enough to think that she could say sorry, Hope would forgive her and things would go back to the way they were before, she wouldn’t blame Hope if she never forgave her but Josie wasn’t going to stop trying to bring the old Hope back. “You’re right, it was stupid to think that he would keep his end of the bargain or that my spell would work but I never stopped trusting you to find a way to stop him. We weren’t ready to face him Hope, even if he left for a few weeks then it would have been something and it could have given you all more time to find a way to stop him. I didn’t want any of this to happen, you know that,” she said, her eyes searching Hope’s as she spoke. “Maybe you’re right, maybe that would have been better but when he threatened to kill you I stopped thinking straight because I didn’t want to even think about a world without you in it.”It wasn’t long ago that Hope had been adamant that the reason why she had turned her humanity off wasn’t anything to do with what had happened but now she was saying that she was the reason why she was like this and Josie flinched. “So you admit it, you didn’t do this for fun,” she said, holding out a hand signalling for MG to stop when he tried to jump to her defence. “I love you for defending me MG but I deserve this,” she said, not wanting anyone to get on Hope’s bad side for her. “You can say there’s nothing left of the old you in there but I’m never going to believe you. You can hate me as much as you like but I’m never going to give up on you,” Josie said, her gaze steady as her eyes met Hope’s. “You guys should go,” she told their friends, looking around at them briefly before turning her attention back to Hope. “I’m staying. Kill me if you like but I let you down once and I’m not doing that again.”HOPE MIKAELSON

Hope knew that Josie would never give up on her easily. She'd fight for her and find a way to get her to turn her humanity back on. She could put as much distance as possible between the two of them and somehow, Josie would find her. Call it love, or whatever you would like, but whatever drove Josie to hang onto her so tightly was beginning to get on Hope's nerves and she wanted nothing more than to break whatever it was. Hope was quiet as she listened to Josie, her arms crossed in front of her chest. She could feel her humanity desperately trying to claw its way back to the surface but each time, Hope shoved it back down again because she didn't want to let it out. Nothing good ever happens when her humanity's on. "Again, don't try to appeal to my humanity, Josie. That bitch's gone for good. That version that you fell in love with is long gone and this version? This is the one that's staying for a long, long time." Hope opened her arms as if to draw all eyes on her to prove a point, to have them feast their eyes on her because they were going to see this version of her for a long, long time.
Hope frowned as she continued listening to Josie, her arms crossed in front of her chest once more. She shook her head and looked away before her attention drifted back to Josie as she continued listening to her. "And he knew that. He knew that I was your weakness, Josie. He wouldn't have been able to kill me, not easily, anyway. He made me an even bigger problem when he killed me." Hope said with a frown still tugging at her features before a humorless chuckle fell from her lips. "Yeah, and I guess I would've been okay with living in a world without you, Josie. I mean, look at me now. I'm goddamn superb." Sarcasm dripped from her words like venom as she kept her eyes on Josie. "Again, you're a martyr, Josie. You're okay with dying for the sake of your friends and loved ones without thinking about what losing you could do to them. It's pretty goddamn selfish and now that you're seeing the consequences of what happened, you want to fix it? It doesn't work like that." Hope took a small step back this time. Though she stopped in her tracks when she heard Josie's next words. It made her pause and her eyes soon lifted to settle on Josie's. The longer she fought to bring her back, the harder it became for her to keep her emotions at bay.
"But killing all of you would be." She would do it all for fun just to prove a point - that she was too far gone and didn't want to be rescued. Hope was quiet as she listened to Josie, her head dipping down as her hair hid her face from view, her eyes squeezed shut for a moment when she felt something change. "No." Hope whispered under her breath. She didn't want this. She didn't want to feel anything more. "Stop talking." Hope demanded through gritted teeth. You didn't let me down. I'm so sorry, Josie. I don't mean any of this. Those were the words threatening to spill from her lips but she pushed all of it down.
No.
No, she won't do this again. She won't hang her heart on the line like that again. She won't let anyone hurt her so deeply like that again. She can't. Hope clenched her trembling hand - the one she used to drive the blade through Josie's heart - and finally pushed her emotions down. Hope lifted her head soon after, her eyes relaxing on Josie. "I'm not going to kill you, Josie." Hope took a step closer to Josie this time around. "Between you and the rest of the not-so-super-squad, you're the only one who's most likely to bring my humanity back on. You're a threat, Josie. But not enough of a threat that I need to kill you. Uncle Henrik will just find a way to bring you back. Like he always does. I'll just..." Hope tilted her head slightly to the side, all while keeping her eyes on her. A small smirk soon tugged at the corner of her lips. "... Have to improvise." Hope concluded.
"Why don't we try something we've never tried, hm? I used my blood to turn you, which means that there's a possibility that you're sired to me. Why don't we put that to the test?" Hope incanted a spell to make the rest of the squad freeze in their spots so they wouldn't try to stop her or get Josie away in time. "You're trying so hard to convince me to turn my humanity back on, so I'll just have to... convince you to turn off yours. We'll see which one will win." The same smirk was present on her lips as she spoke all while keeping her eyes on Josie. "A little spoiler? It's probably not going to be you. Especially not when I can just ask you to turn it off and if you're sired to me, you'll do it." Hope kept her eyes fixed on Josie's as she spoke.
"So... Turn off your humanity, Josie."
