two heads are better than one
WITH MADISON KRAMMER
WITH MADISON KRAMMER
She was far too tired for this. Meredith could feel the exhaustion sweeping over her, latching onto her mind and clouding her judgement. It was far from an ideal position. She knew she was pushing herself far too much lately but she couldn't seem to stop herself. It was like she was afraid the worst would happen if she wasn't on the job. It was an arrogant position to be in because she knew damn well that there were other capable staff members. She just...couldn't help herself.
Meredith rubbed her temple as she walked down the hall. Tucked under her arm was the chart of a teenage girl who was presenting with a simple cough but there was definitely more going on. Her fever seemed to be climbing and she was beginning to become sluggish. Meredith was treating the symptoms but until she got to the bottom of the problem she couldn't treat the source. Problem was she couldn't think straight enough to wrap her head around it properly.
She needed help.
It was not a position she liked to be in but it was one that she recognized she could not ignore. This wasn't about her, this was about her patient. So she moved past the desk and into the staff lounge to see who else was on call that night. Her eyes settled on Dr. Krammer. They had worked together before, of course, but Meredith couldn't really say she knew the other woman. She just knew that she was a fellow doctor and probably just the person she needed in this moment.
"Doctor Krammer, I was wondering if I could get your help with a patient. I just need someone to bounce ideas off of," she said as she shut the door behind her.
