Sam Winchester:
Dean was the first person Sam had met since his release from Lucifer. The following person he had to meet would be Castiel. Sam had learnt some alarming information about what Lucifer had done while inhabiting him. Maybe this was Lucifer's last card to play to screw up Sam's life in the long run.Sam had tried to do his research but came up blank. He wasn't surprised. This wasn't the first time in his life that something had no lore or information to help but this was different. This wouldn't just go away with a spell or an exorcism. This problem would be with him to the day he died. Lucifer knew precisely what he was doing when he did this. The hunter prayed to Cas. "Hey Cas, umm, I could do with some help when you have a few moments spare. It's kinda urgent" Due to him being the Devil's vessel for so long, he didn't know what Cas had been up to recently/ He wished he was more involved recently when his family needed him to be more involved. Sam couldn't change that now, but he could significantly change what he did in the future since his family had expanded.Sam had always wanted an average family, the white picket fence, the whole shebang, and he was partway there now, but it wasn't what he would call 'normal'. He wouldn't have expected anything else. Sam needed to know if this would be a world-ending disaster before telling the rest of the gang.He would tell them no matter what, but he needed more information before taking this to Bobby or Dean. After all, deep down he wanted this to work. The child would be both his and Lucifer's and the humans. Kelly had visited Sam yesterday. Before this, he was under the impression that Lucifer may have borne a child, but he knew it was true when Kelly came to him. Kelly had ended up giving birth in the motel, and then she disappeared. Sam didn't know what to do at first. So he took the child to the hospital to check Jack over. They had been in a car crash not long ago, and he had to check that the child would be okay.Sam wanted to ensure that the child was healthy before figuring out what to do with Jack. He didn't want to give him up, and he had already thought about what his family and friends would say. He had tried to think of a counter argument for each. He didn't know if it was due to wanting to be a better father than his own, the ache he always had about not having children or the fact that he wanted to raise the child to be better than Lucifer, but he would do the best he could for his son. He just hoped his family would be supportive due to the circumstances. As the hotel staff checked Jack over, Sam reached out to Castiel. He didn't want to let the little boy out of his sight in case Lucifer or someone took him to get back at either of them. Sam knew the boy would have enemies from all sides; from Heaven, from Hell, and his father also being a Winchester. Sam had been awake for at least twenty-four hours, ensuring Jack never left his side. The last two days had been a whirlwind. He had met Kelly and learned he would be a father to a supernatural child, and then she had given birth and they disappeared leaving him alone with a child of the Devils unsure of where to start. Sam had ensured to watch as much as the nurses and doctors would let him. The adrenaline had begun to drop when he prayed to Cas for help. The Winchester didn't know that Jack's birth was felt by angels worldwide. He had told the hospital staff that Kelly had died hours before in childbirth, and that was why he was so overprotective. This enabled him to stay by Jack's side. They had to check Sam's story to ensure that Jack wasn't stolen. A man turns up to the hospital with a newborn without the mother, no baby items, and it looks odd. They told the human that they needed to take Jack to ICU and check him over and that he could stay here.@castielsam, however, couldn't relax. Jack was now out of his sight, and anything could happen. Hell could find him and use him against the hunter, Heaven could do the same, or the child may use his powers and then that would be another can of worms to deal with. The new father paced the hospital halls with a cup of coffee to make sure he would still be alert for when they gave his son back, but he needed answers when he was waiting. ━ if there's one thing god loves, it's tragedy. ━ Castiel could hear a voice calling out to him, praying to him and it made him effectively halt in his position as he focused on the sound of the man’s voice, immediately able to tell that it was Sam. A few days ago, Castiel had sensed something being born and it was no ordinary human, either. No, it was a Nephilim. A being that’s both angel and human. A hybrid creature that has both angel grace and a human soul. Nephilims were seen as an abomination and it was strictly against the laws of Heaven to create a Nephilim, that much Castiel was certain of. Castiel had so many questions, but he had gotten momentarily distracted by everything else that was happening, and now, he knew that he needed to leave what he was doing because Sam needed him.
Castiel frowned slightly as he looked around him for a moment, noticing that there were harmless humans walking around, so he started walking until he entered an alleyway away from the prying eyes of humans and that was when he used his wings to take him to where Sam was. When he appeared behind Sam, he was in a hospital, and the taller Winchester was pacing around which made Castiel frown slightly. “Sam?” Castiel called out as he tilted his head slightly to the side. “What’s the matter? Is Dean hurt? Are you hurt?” Castiel questioned as he took a step closer to the anxious-looking Winchester. “You mentioned that it was urgent, did something happen?” Castiel's eyes scanned Sam's face as his worry became clearer and clearer. So much has happened while Sam was possessed by Lucifer, but he knew that he was going to catch Sam up on all of it. Castiel was definitely relieved that the younger was free from Lucifer's grip now. He had been so worried about Sam's safety and the state of his mind because he knew it could be daunting on the mind to be possessed by Lucifer, though he couldn't fire all the questions at Sam right now because there was definitely something wrong. He knew that look on Sam's face. He could sense his anxiety, too. It definitely worried Castiel.

Sam Winchester:
Sam was continuing to pace until he heard Castiel. "You came?" He didn't know if he would show. He turned to face the angel at the question. "Oh, no, no." He shook his head. "I'm fine, Dean's fine. It's something else." He shook his head and walked closer to Cas as he downed the rest of the coffee. He didn't know how to approach this. He didn't know if he would be considered an abomination again or worse. The hunter decided to make it look like a case which in a way it was. "A pregnant woman came to me for help." He looked around to see if any professionals were listening. The last thing he wanted was for the hospital staff to hear what he was going to say next. He paused for someone to walk past before continuing. "She needed my help as a hunter." He thought carefully about how to word the next part. "The child isn't completely human. I don't know what they will find out about Jack but I just wanted to make sure he was okay. Kelly disappeared after she gave birth." He gestured with his hands. "I don't mean she left she came to explain the situation, her waters broke, I delivered the baby and she just poof, gone. I didn't know what to do."In hindsight, Sam could have called on Cas and asked him to just check Jack over but he didn't know whether Heaven and by extension Cas, would allow the son of Satan to live. The thing was he wasn't just Lucifer's child he was also Sam's and Kelly's. That may either condemn the child further being of Winchester bloodline or save him but either way, Sam would do anything for the child, he was the only parental figure Jack had left now. He wasn't about to put his son's life at risk. "I just need to know if say an angel were to conceive a child with a human would that mean for the child and the family?" He shrugged. The angel didn't need to know just yet that the angelic father in question was an archangel, nor did he need to know who the vessel was. It would be obvious when the angel has revealed who it was but until he knew what Jack was up against he needed to protect him and find out the possible dangers. He glanced at the door where they had taken his son. The longer he was out of Sam's sight the riskier it was for anyone or any species to kidnap Jack for power or leverage. Sam began to nervously pick at the fingers. It could have been the excess caffeine, the lack of sleep, the fact he just delivered a baby that he only found out an hour ago was his, or it could have been the fact he had only just expelled Lucifer in under a week or the fact he was possibly the only parent to a half-angel, half-human baby of the Devil, who could come for him at any moment as long as he had a vessel. Sam looked around the corridor. Paranoia had begun to set in now. Any person could be Lucifer or Azazel or even a demon ready to snatch Jack back from the safety of his family. "I need to see my- Jack." If Lucifer had planned this then maybe he knows about the Nephilim. "I need to see Jack. Kelly asked me to protect him." ━ if there's one thing god loves, it's tragedy. ━ You came? Oh, no, no. I'm fine, Dean's fine. It's something else.
Castiel nodded his head slowly at Sam's question. "Yes, of course, I did." When Sam assured him that he was fine along with Dean, he released a soft sigh of relief, his shoulders sagging a little but then his brows furrowed in what could easily be described as a confused frown when Sam mentioned that the reason he called for Castiel was because of something else entirely. "Like what?" Castiel prodded, the same concern still visible in the tone of his voice because he knew that Sam wouldn't be in a hospital for no reason at all. There was a reason they were standing here.
A pregnant woman came to me for help. She needed my help as a hunter. The child isn't completely human. I don't know what they will find out about Jack but I just wanted to make sure he was okay. Kelly disappeared after she gave birth. I don't mean she left she came to explain the situation, her waters broke, I delivered the baby and she just poof, gone. I didn't know what to do.
Castiel listened carefully to Sam, his blue eyes still focused solely on Sam, watching him quietly with his head tilted slightly to the side. A pregnant woman? Castiel nodded his head slowly to let Sam know that he was still listening to him as he explained what had happened. "If he's not completely human then what is he?" Castiel asked, his confusion visible in the tone of his voice. Could it be that the baby was the Nephilim that the angels had sensed when it was born? "Oh..." Castiel trailed off when he learned that the baby's brother had disappeared not long after she had given birth. "Given her state, I don't think she would have gotten far. I heard that giving birth is a very painful experience. Unless you do not wish to look for her?" Was that why he was here? To help Sam look for the baby's mother? Of course, he'd help him with that, especially since Sam would need to stay here to check on the baby's well-being.
I just need to know if say an angel were to conceive a child with a human would that mean for the child and the family?
Castiel's frown disappeared as the realization dawned on him. "That answers my previous question, then..." Castiel glanced around them for a moment before his eyes moved to rest back on Sam. "It would mean that the child is a Nephilim. A hybrid of both human and angel." Castiel revealed with a nod of his head following, his lips parting to say something but then a nurse walked by and he offered her a tight-lipped that disappeared once they were alone again. "The laws of the supernatural are changing and constantly being rewritten, which is a good thing. Because in the past, whole worlds fell apart when a Nephilim would grow into their powers. That's why conceiving a nephilim was strictly prohibited in the past and if an angel and a human were to conceive a child, they would be punished." There was a small pause that stretched between them. "By death." Castiel concluded with a nod of his head following.
"But, worry not. That's all in the past. Ever since the fall, we have been dwindling. So nephilims, in a way, are a hope for us. They posed a possible way of replenishing the angel population and ensuring that the lights in Heaven remain on." Castiel's tone was calm as he spoke, his eyes moving away from Sam for a moment to look around him for a moment to see if he could spot the child anywhere.
I need to see my- Jack. I need to see Jack. Kelly asked me to protect him.
Castiel watched Sam with his head tilted slightly to the side. "Let's find him. You mentioned wanting to check him over, yes? I can do that better than, well, human doctors. Let's find him."

Sam Winchester:
Sam still hadn't adjusted to Cas answering his prayers after the stage of answering his brother more. The human knew the bond between him and the angel had improved, but he wasn't used to being answered to or being put above others' plans except by Dean, but then Cas had made it to family status. Sam would put everything on the line for the family, but he didn't expect it from the others even if he knew deep down they would as well. Of course, the human wanted Jack's mother found, but she could undoubtedly go to the motel if she wanted to be found. She already knew where the Winchesters lived. Sam was frightened that the birth had killed Kelly; if so, that would be another death on his conscience. Technically it was Lucifer, but he had let him in in the first place. Sam wanted to believe that Kelly chose to leave Jack and him and that one day she may return; after all, being the mother to mini-Satan wouldn't be an easy task. The Winchester would ensure he did the best by Jack. First, he would be the best father he could be with his upbringing, and with the angelic side of Jack, then he would do whatever he could to help his son. Raising a child was no easy task, more challenging for hunters and single fathers but even more complicated when the child was a part angel. Maybe Jack would also help Sam with having demon blood in him. Perhaps the good would balance out the bad?How could Sam explain to the angel that he wasn't sure if he wanted to know Kelly's true fate until Jack was ready to learn himself? Sam would search for her but not until he knew truly what being a mother of an angel meant. If heaven would search and kill her, it would be best for her to be in the wind. "I know. I want to make sure the child is okay before searching for the mother." He paused as someone walked past. "As you said, she wouldn't have got far."Nephilim He now had a name, which meant research, answers to his questions and something to bury himself into. The two had a difference of opinion on what changes in the supernatural meant. To Sam, it meant the lore he knew changed. That would mean that hunts became more dangerous; if the supernatural were changing, then anything could change. Werewolves that could change at will or djinns hiding in plain sight were just a few examples. On the other hand, the world Sam knew around him had shifted. The hunter needed stability right now, not surprises on the field. "Oh", now changes in the supernatural were good at times. Sam didn't want the child or his family to suffer from something Lucifer did. "Do all angels have the same change of mind, or will some still want Jack and his family dead?" The Winchester and co knew more than most that Heaven wasn't big on change; they were sticklers for the rules, which Sam and the others kept breaking whenever it suited them. Sam nodded as Cas said to find Jack. "They took him from me for tests. If say the boy was the son of an archangel or an angel whose allegiance was with Hell; would Hell want him?"
