There was no option for her to sneak away from the court in her younger days, with a guard standing at every exit. Apparently, it was dangerous beyond the walls, but it was the dangerous ones they let in. Lucien guided them directly to the De Martel’s. Aurora had forgiven the stable boy, but her brother was a bitter person, unwilling to let Lucien off.
A little gang who had been responsible for many tragic events across the globe, spanning from the 15th century to now. “The Strix… It is a group of vampires that was originally founded by Elijah Mikaelson in the Middle Ages but now my brother is the leader” It was only Tristan who shared no blame in their fate. He was unfortunately dragged along with Elijah’s plan, but upon reflection, this life he led now was something that suited him. He had a group of ancient vampires bowing at his feet, listening to his every command.
No matter how controlling Tristan could be, she'd never leave him behind. It all came from a good place, she knew that even if others didn’t. They’d been unfortunate enough to lose their mother in childbirth, their father was as good as dust by now, leaving Tristan scared of losing his sibling. They’d been in this together from the beginning and they would stick it out together to the very end. It was one of the reasons she was left trailing behind him as he went after the original family, prepared to take a stake to the heart if it meant saving her brother.
Whatever was in that bottle couldn’t be as bad as swallowed alcohol laced with vervain. The crack of the lid assured her nothing sinister was lurking inside the liquid. “There must be a cut-off point with alcohol ageing. Surely at some point, it turns bad” She commented, musing to herself. “Or maybe we have just opened a bottle that potentially could be worth a lot of money” A quick wipe of the bottle with a damp cloth would have it looking as good as new, but she doubted Damien had the need for such money. The crisp clothing he wore told her that.
A small weight lifted as the reaper told her Sonny was the ‘ladies man’. One wink from her sometimes had the males running after her too. One glance at Lucien had him fawning over her for centuries. A torch he probably still held now, despite her gently letting him down as humans.
She reached forward, taking the bottle from Damien. The second mouthful didn’t burn as much as the first, but it was still like fire travelling down her throat. A quiet cough as she cleared in an attempt to clear the burning from her throat. Her eyes left him glancing up at the narrow window for a moment before returning to his gaze. “Never… but I am assuming you have?” She screwed the top back on the bottle of bourbon, setting it down on the floor. “You have led quite an exciting life… I like it” Aurora shuffled towards Damien, placing one hand on his chest, tugging him closer to her, “Little bit dangerous but also charming” She slipped her hand around the back of Damien’s neck, fingers gently stroking against his skin as she drew closer to the reaper, pulling him in for a passionate kiss.
