Singing under his breath, the words barely audible, Castor flicked a finger in the air and sent the gasping young woman twisting in the air. Officer Ocasek, so keen when he’d asked if she wanted to grab a drink after work, not so keen now that tears streamed down her cheeks to drip pink from her pointed little chin. That rough hewn charm his meat suit had once used on his strawberry blonde bringing that blush back to Ocasek’s cheeks as she’d rapidly scurried away from her car. His dark eyes had risen over the top of the passenger side door to fix on the cameras studding the outside of the station. None in his direction, not that they would’ve caught anything with the clouds scudding closing overhead for a moment, bathing their corner of the lot in darkness.
”Blue eyes cryin’ in the rain … ain’t nobody feelin’ no pain,” the demon crooned, the words tapped from that well of them deep in Chase’s mind. A taste for country who would’ve known that lay under that boxer’s profile. Castor chuckled, twisting his hips into a little jig along with the continued roll of music in his brain. ”I guess we got that last bit a little wrong,” he told the sobbing woman. Seeing Ocasek, Laurel, she’d told him to call her Laurel, shudder away from his touch as he quick stepped closer Castor chuckled his tongue. He let the music fade, his dark brows coming together as he reached out with a hand. ”Hey … hey, you don’t gotta do that doll.” She shied away from him though, as far as she could get with her hands hitched by the invisible rope in the air.
Castor sighed, flicking a finger in the air again, his power bringing Ocasek down until her kicking boots scuffed the rocky ground again. He reached out with one of those hands, gripping her jaw lightly to bring her head up. The disconcerting sweet little boy smile curved his lips as her eyes, wide and rolling, met his. ”There ain’t no reason to cry. This is just a little fun. Me, you, a friend of mine. You like fun dontcha Laurel?” He began to sing again under his breath, patting her cheek lightly under she sucked in a breath and stared over his shoulder. And there was that friend.
Turning on his heels, Castor shot the figure standing behind him in the rocky little clearing in front of the Fell tomb a grin. It had been a while, too long of a while, the way they left things in New Orleans sending Raven in one direction and him in another. Castor threw his arms wide, tilting his head a little. ”Finally. I’d ask what kept you all tied up but we shouldn’t mention ropes in front of Laurel, she’s a little skittish.” He glanced over his shoulder, throwing the Officer a wink as he pressed his finger to her lips. ”You seen her since you got here?” He didn’t mean the sobbing brunette of course. Kaitlyn, Chase’s sweet little Kaity. She’d cried to at the end, when Raven had smoked out and Chase lay there dying on the floor, all pleading eyes and rattling final breaths.

KNOCK, KNOCK LET THE DEVIL IN
Raven was never one to turn down an invitation to play. She was growing bored of Mystic Falls but the arrival of Castor was bound to spark some fun for her. Raven had always liked the thrilling sensation of being chased and for the longest time, Kaitlyn and her partner searched behind her. They picked at the trail of bodies she left behind and they were getting close to her and she loved it at the time because it meant she had a little somebody to play with her and oh how she loved playing games.
Raven turned Kaitlyn's whole life upside down and she fucking loved it. She took everything away from her in a flash and it was exactly what she needed. It was a little lesson to not go after her again. But with her being in Mystic Falls and them having met already, she was back to the beginning. Back to slowly eating away at Kaitlyn until there was nothing left and this time around, she wasn't doing it alone. Castor was the one inside her little husband-to-be and it was so much fun.
Raven could smell all the dread from a mile away. Could hear the little human's pathetic sobs and it was starting to make her little heart flutter with excitement because it was exactly everything she fucking needed right now after spending such an uneventful week by herself, doing absolutely nothing other than the usual. The angels were still on her ass but even with that, she barely looked bothered. If anything, she wanted to be chased.
Wanted the angels to play her little game because it was the sort of game that she'd always come out of victorious and with a cocky little grin on her lips. A little spark of mischief became visible in her cat-like eyes when her gaze settled upon the terrified human. The way she was shaking and the glisten of tears in her eyes. It was more than enough to make her smirk as she stepped out of the shadows, basking in the terrified little sound she made upon noticing the extra figure. It was becoming clearer to the human that she will not come out of this one alive and it was making her laugh, really. "Oh you know me, Castor. I like to be fashionably late," Raven spoke up, the heavy Russian accent dripping from her tone as she took a step forward.
She came closer to Castor as well as Laurel, her eyes slowly running down her face as her index finger came to wipe away the trail left behind by a single tear. "Don't cry," she soothed, her thumb tracing shapeless patterns over her cheek. "We haven't even started yet," and that comment was more than enough to make the officer turn her head away sharply, effectively leaning away from the touch. "Rude." She tsked like a disapproving parent before her gaze drifted over to Castor, her grin becoming prominent again.
"Oh, no. I've been a saint ever since I got here. I'm dedicating my whole life to our lord and savior now." Raven made a little cross sign before she laughed. Her attention turned to the woman who wasn't even laughing. If anything, she looked weirded out. "It's a joke." She pointed out the obvious before she took a step back and leaned her side against the wall. "M'yeah, I did. It was fun," There was a bounce of her brows that followed.
"What 'bout you?"

Laurel had already been flinching away from him, that attraction he’d practically smelt rolling from every one of her pores when the Sheriff had introduced the two of them rapidly giving away to the stench of fear. It was potent, had been enough to leave him shivering with pleasure. Chase wasn’t doing the same, in fact that same sick stench would’ve been rising from his meat suit given the chance. Humans, so pathetically easy to break in the end. Chase would’ve just been glad that he was no longer at the mercy of Raven. She was the queen of this, that smirk and the spark in her eyes a precursor to what was really going to happen.
Castor reached back as he turned towards Raven, patting the sobbing brunette’s cheek in a way that had her flinching away from his touch again. Such a shame that it was so easy but it was the beauty of their kind at the same time. A low chuckle ran out of him as Castor reached up and dragged a hand over his mouth. He tasted blood on his lips as he did, licking it off with relish. ”Fashionably late enough to have poor Laurel here fretting. I’m sure she would’ve preferred me getting to the end of our little date already.” There was a shriek behind the gag in the woman’s mouth then, high pitched like a horse whinnying in fright as her eyes rolled again. Chase bobbed his eyebrows, a little boy’s mischievous grin gracing his mouth for a moment.
It twisted into something darker as Raven strolled closer, one finger extending to wipe away a single tear. The laughter came again at her soothing words that were snapped away into something so much worse, a low thunderous rumble before it broke off into a happy little sigh. Castor crossed his arms over his chest, his tongue prodding at the inside of his lower lip. ”Laurel here’s just a little disappointed,” he said with a shrug. ”I wasn’t quite the tall, dark and broody sort she wanted.” A bad boy she could reform, that was what she’d seen when she’d taken in the boxer’s nose, the little nicks and puckers of scars that dotted his skin, signs of a childhood spent half wild.
Those scars had once lured Kaitlyn in the same way, her pale fingers tracing over the ones that disappeared beneath his clothes in a way Laurel hadn’t had the chance to. He’d almost goaded her into doing it in that break room, letting Chase surface just far enough that Kaitlyn wouldn’t be able to help herself. The laughter emerged on a snort this time, a choked sound through that crooked nose. ”They’ll try and strike you don’t for that, ya know…” he mused. ”There’s enough of them getting pious here.” Wherever Hell coalesced what of the angels were sure to follow. They hadn’t been who he’d been interested in when he’d dragged Castor’s hide here though.
”Mmm,” Castor crooned lightly. He brought a hand up to scratch at his chest, flattening his palm against it as he remembered the look on Kaitlyn’s face. ”I might’ve paid a little visit. You didn’t tell her I was tooling around in her hubby to be, did you? I thought she was gonna swoon right in my arms.” Peering past Raven to the trussed up cop Castor laughed. ”You missed that, huh? Chase here’s Shaw’s fiancée, of course, she thought she’d shot him dead. Oh wait, no, she did.” Chase mock gasped, allowing those bloody holes to open up in his flesh again just for Laurel’s benefit.

KNOCK, KNOCK LET THE DEVIL IN
Fashionably late enough to have poor Laurel here fretting. I’m sure she would’ve preferred me getting to the end of our little date already. Laurel here’s just a little disappointed, I wasn’t quite the tall, dark and broody sort she wanted.
"Oh she will live. Or... will she? Hm, hm." Raven pretended to think about it, her index finger tapping onto her chin before she chuckled under her breath as if it was some kind of joke to her while the other person looked like she was seconds away from shitting her pants. If she hadn't, already. Raven gasped as if she was surprised by Castor's words, her eyes shifting to settle upon Laurel. "Oh, Laurel..." She tsked and shook his head, feigning disappointment in the woman for not liking Castor. "And she's not even that pretty," she huffed, her own little judgmental eyes running up and down the woman's body as she poked her stomach annoyingly which made the woman flinch and it only tore a grin from her lips. "Ticklish?" Raven asked in a sadistic manner before a laugh fell from her lips. "Cute," she took a step away from the frightened woman, deciding to play with her later.
Raven shrugged her shoulders when Castor told her that they were going to strike her down for it. "They'll have to catch me first," She said with a wicked grin locked on her lips as she looked at his victim. "Plus... I wanna know what they look like when they are angry. I bet it's exciting," Raven bounced a little bit excitedly onto her heels before her eyes shifted to relax on Castor. "Would you miss me if I died, Cassie?" Cassie was the nickname she annoyingly picked for Castor and it was not going away anytime soon.
I might’ve paid a little visit. You didn’t tell her I was tooling around in her hubby to be, did you? I thought she was gonna swoon right in my arms.
Raven shook her head with a grin locked on her lips. "No, I left that out. I thought it'd be good to tear that reaction from her. Little Kitty is dyin' to have her beloved Chase back. It's fun." She gasped at his next words. "No... Really? Damn. That's predictable." Raven wrinkled her nose. But then again, she "loved" Chase, so that reaction was expected. The little swoon into his arms. Raven leaned against the wall and watched the two of them with a sadistic little grin on her lips as she watched the woman's reaction and how she looked like she was fighting the urge to throw up at the sight. When she saw how she turned her head away from it, she reached and grabbed her jaw harshly, forcing her eyes to fall back upon Chase's wounds. "Didn't tell you to look away now, did we?" Raven whispered into her ear, her voice dropping an octave lower as her eyes settled upon the flesh wounds on Chase's body. "Are you gonna kill her, Cassie?' She asked after moving away from the woman and gestured toward her seconds later to let Castor know that she was talking about her and not Kaitlyn.

He’d always had the sort of laugh that could make others feel uncomfortable. That low, husky rumble coming out of a face that suited a boxer or a glazed eyed serial killer than a decent hard working cop. He’d used it on occasion, sat opposite a guy in an interview room, that sharp snap of it cutting off mid-roll disconcerting. Chase had at least. Castor could see it in his head, felt Chase stirring at the sound of it as it rolled free now. A little more warmth curled in it, a bigger shudder rolling through his meat suit, oh Chase didn’t like that. It sounded all too much like it had when he was with Kaitlyn now.
That just left Castor chuckling longer as he eyed the cop hanging in the air behind him. He pursed his lips, raising a hand to tap a finger against them as he considered Raven’s question. ”Will she, won’t she ….” he crooned. Ip, dip, do, I choose you … there’d never really been any question to it, Laurel was dead before they left here tonight. Castor smiled at the feigned surprise in Raven’s words, looking faintly rueful at her tsk. ”Oh but she thought she was. Thought that she was so much more worthy than Kaitlyn. Redheads, am I right Laurel?” Redheads had always floated Chase’s boat but it had been one in particular that had him breaking his own rules for the sake of a life with a woman who should’ve been forbidden fruit in the first place.
Snorting, Castor let Raven have her fun, twisting away slightly, heels scuffing in the dirt of the churchyard. His lips quirked as he snorted at her. A shake of his head, a crooned sound from his throat. ”Good luck to ‘em with that,” he crooned. His head tilted as she bounced on her heels. ”I’m sure a little piety would lure one of ‘em in. Would definitely be more fun than Laurel here. Sorry love, just not cuttin’ it.” He clucked his tongue at the cop, twirling his finger in the air to make her dance as Raven asked if he’d miss her. Sighing heavily, his face settling into sad, hound dog lines, as he clapped a hand to his heart. ”Always,” he promised on a whimper. Dismissing the idea he lifted his hand from his chest, waved Raven’s teasing off.
Kaity would do all the missing for them. How many hours had she spent in her cell, crying for her dead husband, cursing the demon who’d taken him? How much had she cried when Owen had turned up to tell her that, gasp, her fiancé was alive. That was something she hadn’t told him during their little visit. His grin lit up his face now, dark eyes sparkling almost as black as his own as he smirked at Raven. He lifted a hand, fingers an inch apart. ”There was just this little bit of hope when she saw me. You shoulda seen the light of it going out of her eyes.” That little death was what his sort lived for. Clucking his tongue, Castor made his way back towards Laurel again. ”She’ll learn soon enough that Chase isn’t coming back.” That light would really go out of her then.
Just as it was out of Laurel’s now. They were flaring wide now as he opened up the wounds Kaity had put in him. Blood gouted from his chest, pulsing with the laughter that rolled out of him. Raven went to her, grabbing at her jaw, forcing Laurel to look at him again. ”Detective Shaw don’t look so useless now, does she?” he asked. Humming low, Castor approached, dipping his finger in the blood that gurgled out of his meat suit before he trailed it down Laurel’s cheek in a loving touch. ”What do you think, Laurel? You wanna live or should I let Raven here have her fun?” There was a sobbing sound, a cringe but then Laurel tried to launch herself at him. ”Oh kill, definitely kill. There’s still enough fight there for some fun.” Laughing, Castor aimed his finger like a gun, making a pow noise as he ‘fired’ at Laurel and opened up a hole in her shoulder. The blood began to flow in an instant, a thin stream of red to match the thin scream she gave.

KNOCK, KNOCK LET THE DEVIL IN
Oh but she thought she was. Thought that she was so much more worthy than Kaitlyn. Redheads, am I right Laurel?
"Never really understood the appeal with redheads. They're cuckoos!" Raven wriggled her index finger next to her head as she whispered 'absolutely cuckoos' under her breath before she shook her head. "I've always been a lot more into brunettes." Raven bit down on her bottom lip with a glow of something in her eyes as a certain face flashed before her eyes, making her bounce on her heels a little. She wondered what she was doing right now, if she was still working or if she had gone home already. There was a lot about her that garnered Raven's curiosity and it was only a matter of time before she completely unwraps the mystery that is Talia. But for now, she wanted to get her hands dirty. No, ached to do so. Because otherwise, she was afraid that she was going to lose who she'd become in favor of chasing who she once was.
And that person was fucking weak. Now, she had power in her grasp. She wasn't even human anymore and those that were, were simply below her. She was above every pesky little human and they were so much like ants to her and oh how she'd love to spend every moment of her day squashing them beneath the heel of her boot. "Ooooh, you wanna play a little with some angels, Cassie?" Raven's eyes gleamed with so much mischief it could just draw you in and keep you trapped there for close to an eternity. "I always knew you were my favorite demon, Cassie." Raven glanced over at Chase's little hostage and hummed, scrutinizing eyes glancing up and down her body before she wrinkled her nose.
"No, she's really not. It's annoying, really." She shrugged her shoulders in a careless manner, her eyes finding Castor's once more. Raven glanced down at his gesture and chuckled, her brows arching up. "God bless you, brother." Raven teased, enjoying how wrong it felt to utter the holy name or whatever you fucking call him. It felt so wrong and she loved it more than anything, really. "I missed you too, y'know. Scout's honor." She teased with a small smirk resting on her lips, her eyes finding the little victim again, watching her with her head tilted slightly to the side. There was just this little bit of hope when she saw me.
You shoulda seen the light of it going out of her eyes. She’ll learn soon enough that Chase isn’t coming back.
Raven could imagine the look on her face and it made a shiver rush down her spine. She wanted to see it happen before her eyes. Oh, how it would feel good. "Humans are too stubborn, y'know? I don't think she'll stop lookin' for her beloved Chase." Raven pointed out, her hands sinking into her pockets. She knew how determined people often got to "save" their loved ones even when they were beyond saving. "Oh how fun it'd be to watch her try everything to bring him back only to fail each time... Now that'd be more entertaining than watchin' a movie if you ask me." Raven's excitement was clear in her eyes as she spoke. It'd been a while since she saw someone go through such terrible heart ache. Oh how she wondered if it'd kill her. If she would simply be unable to push forward without her beloved little Chase.
Raven watched the exchange with a grin locked on her lips, waiting for her moment to shine. To let out all her pent-up frustration and anger. All it took was some guy saying that he could speak to her deceased lover for Raven to spiral down a dark path. She hated it. She hated feeling, she hated being human. Raven chuckled mercilessly as she watched the woman bleed before she decided to have her fun. It felt good to simply detach from everything and she was more than happy to take it all out on the pesky little human who still had so much fight left in her until there were none. "Dead already? I barely started!" Raven gasped as if offended that she'd died on her. "Oh well... So how 'bout that angel fun now?" Oh she was far from done. She needed more.

There’d an appeal once, Castor supposed, a type that had lured him in like any other man. The flash of a certain tint of hair drawing his human eye, making his tender little heart pitty pat. What it had been he couldn’t remember anymore. He’d headed for Hell so long ago that his own human life was just a few blurred mental images. What had happened downstairs had twisted who he’d been into something new, something that that didn’t care about shapely ankles or an ample rump. It was about the chase, that flash of terror across a human face as shocking realisation struck. Like it was doing on Laurel’s face now as the woman bucked against the invisible bonds holding her in place. ”Chase would argue with you,” Castor crooned, ticking his finger in her direction as he clucked his tongue. His hand dropped and his gaze sharpened as Raven admitted to an infinity with brunettes. ”Any particular brunette?” Castor crooned, a thick layer of teasing to his words. He looked back at Laurel and her tumble of dark hair that was now in disarray. ”Don’t worry, honey, I’m sure she didn’t mean you.” Although he’d drawn Raven in with the hope that she’d enjoy herself a little here.
He had been, although Raven’s gleeful question had him holding his hands up in surrender. Castor twisted his head, his dark eyes gleaming out from under dark lashes as he smirked. ”I’m not gonna argue, I wouldn’t mind going toe to toe with someone who’s a little more challenging but I know where my bread’s my buttered too.” Angels were like fire had been when he was human, pretty and you could dip your hand in but you played with them too long and you got burned. Raven was bad enough, mercurial, perhaps just as cuckoo as she’d accused redheads of being moments before. At her compliment Castor beamed, fluttering dark lashes as he blew her a kiss. ”I do my best,”{/b] he promised. He swiped a finger over Chase’s chest in a cross as that innocent little boy look remained on his face.
It was as much a veneer as his meat suit was, ready to crack and fall away in an instant as the thing inside this human shell emerged. Castor snorted as Laurel spun slowly in the air, struggling weakly in her sick little dance. ”I’m sure she can make it up to us somehow. Gotta try Laurel, you don’t want Raven here annoyed.” He lifted a hand, ran blood spotted knuckles against his mouth as Raven found his eyes with hers. Dropping that hand he touched it to the hollow of his throat, his stomach, both sides of his chest in the sign of the cross, slapdash, his eyes rolling as he did it. ”And you, sister,” he crooned. Snorting, Castor made a happy little sound and spread his arms to Raven in a mocking invitation for a hug. ”Uh huh,” he snorted, letting his hands drop. Raven’s presence had been the main thing to lure him back to town.
Wasn’t that unfortunate for Laurel. Kaitlyn too. Together he and Raven had carved a bloody trail through New Orleans and they weren’t done yet, not by a long shot.
Kaity wasn’t done either, he’d seen it as she’d run from him in the sheriff’s office. She still believed that she had a chance of getting Chase back. Laughing, his near black human eyes flicking up to meet Raven’s. ”She’ll believe it when she finds him broken and dead again. Maybe I should leave him like that on her doorstep, a little gift.” Like a cat bringing it’s owner a dead mouse. Oh look mama, look what I did for you. It’d mean he had to find another host but that wouldn’t be hard here. It would wait though, especially if Raven was willing to draw the play out. Castor made a low grunting sound, taking slow steps closer, his eyes on Raven’s the entire time. ”How much do you wanna see Kaity break that way?” he asked, deadly serious until his lips curved into a sneer. He was picturing Chase bleeding on the doorstep again, coming and going from the broken cop for weeks at a time.
A beautiful picture, one that’d be even better if maybe it wasn’t the doorstep Chase was found on but right next to Laurel’s body here, turn the tides, have Chase end up the one behind bars. Of course, Laurel would need to be dead for it. Turning towards the captured cop he recreated Chase’s death for her, blood running, pooling beneath him, staining his hands and Laurel’s face as he touched her. Laughing, Castor tilted his head, looking sideways at Raven. ”I didn’t say how quickly it was going to happen now, did I?” The blood flowing from Laurel wasn’t enough to kill her yet. The woman lifted her head after a moment, moaning as tear filled eyes fixed on Raven again. ”Go, go go. Then you get this angel of yours,” Castor said with a mocking pout. He wiggled his fingers in the air, drawing Laurel closer to Raven until the two women were nose to nose.
