Plot with Julian

JULIANTHOMASLEROUX

The second oldest out of a family of five children, Julian was born and raised in Mystic Falls. He isn't a member of one of the founding families but he still had plenty of friends around him who were able to distract him when things got a bit too much with his siblings. After graduation he took a gap year and went travelling with his friends before heading to college in New Orleans where he was pre-med and was able to skip straight ahead to his sophomore year. He decided not to go travelling with Brady and the others when they decided to take another trip shortly after Julian graduated and he has regretted it ever since. His friends were taken captive during their trip and all of them apart from Brady were killed. Julian flew out there to try and find them all before the ransom demands started but to no avail. Eventually returning home, Julian did his best to console Brady's family before starting at medical school like he'd planned. Eventually the memories got too much and he headed home to Mystic Falls to finish medical school and he has been working as a doctor at the local hospital ever since.

Friends;; Growing up Julian always knew that his family was different but it wasn't until he was twelve that he learned just how different they were. Ever since then he has had to keep the truth about his family a secret and that strained some of his friendships but the people who were most important to him always stuck by him. A few of them are still in his life now but others are as well. He isn't always good at letting people in but he likes to go out and have fun and that at least gives him the chance to socialise with people. He is a loyal person and a good friend to have so he needs people who are going to stick by him rather than letting him keep them at a distance.

Enemies;; Even though he is only a resident at the hospital Julian is confident in his abilities and he is good at what he does so there are times that he might come across as arrogant or self assured and that can rub people he works with up the wrong way at times. He is also cautious about hunters, especially since he made Declan tell him what was really bothering him and learned about the run in the twins had with a hunter that almost resulted in the two of them being killed so he knows it is more important than ever to keep what he is a secret.

Lovers;; Julian's track record with women hasn't been great, he always seems to have a habit of choosing someone who is completely wrong for him and it often takes him quite a while to see that. There is only one woman who has ever truly captured his heart and that is Emily. He was devastated when she disappeared shortly after they finally admitted what was going on between them and every relationship since then has been a train wreck waiting to happen.
