friends. Any friends Kara had growing up or in any of the departments she worked in are still back home. For a time she counted Virgil as the best of these but divorcing your best friend kinda kills those feelings. These days she might be briefly friendly to your face but Kara's not likely to let herself get suckered in again when it comes to caring about people.
enemies. Hand some supernatural creatures over to people you know are likely to kill them and you'll earn yourself some enemies. Kara doesn't hold enmity towards every animal she's sent after but she's not going to get warm and fuzzy about things she knows are deadly.
family.
Kara tries to remain close to her family despite her distance from them now. She's always had a bit of a go for your throat relationship with her siblings, especially Roberto, but after nearly losing her brother in a werewolf attack things have changed a little. Kara is fiercely protective of her big brother now, doing everything possible to make sure nothing like that will happen again.
lovers. There were relationships before Kara met her husband Virgil, flighty little things in High School, occasional one night stands when she worked for the PD. Once she met Virgil things changed, things between them were explosive from the start. Despite her families reservations Kara married him and then felt the pain of that shattering when her obsession with the werewolf problem in Thief River and her husband's supposed cheating ended their marriage. Now Kara's avoiding commitment. If she has an itch she will find someone to scratch it, without shame, without holding back, Kara takes what she wants and then walks.
