friends. Denial, denial, denial. Damon will profess that he doesn't care about having any of these but in the last year he's started to gain some people who don't entirely hate him. Still, that's one F word he will never use willingly, not even for Ric, his drinking ... partner in crime.
enemies. Damon has never been shy about earning himself enemies. His sarcastic devil may care has a tendency to irritate others and pitting yourself against your brother and practically every other big bad thing that comes his way. No matter how long the list Damon won't show any form of concern.
family. Family has always been somewhat of a ... touchy subject for Damon. His relationship with his father was somewhat strained, especially after he returned home from the war. Losing his mother early in life changed him somewhat and things with Stefan ... well, that's been complicated from the moment Stefan forced him to feed. Promising his brother a lifetime of misery, Damon has spent much of the last century and a half as his brother's antagonist, often swooping in to drive Stefan crazy and shake his life up. Things now are perhaps more settled but in the wake of the revelation about Katherine, Damon has spent time away from Mystic Falls.
lovers. Damon will say that most of these have meant nothing and for the most part that's true. With his emotions off the woman doesn't really matter and is often nothing more than a means to an end. In truth, Damon's had a tender little heart at times. He fell for Katherine hard and was still in love with her when he discovered she had never been in the tomb. History has repeated itself when it comes to Elena, for a second time now Damon has found himself falling for his brother's girl.

Me coming to post in Damon's plotter, what a surprise haha. The first thing I thought of was maybe Casey is on a hunt and Damon stumbles upon her. Maybe he's hungry but first he wants to "play with his food", so he could start conversing with her. Casey would obviously have to act normal and if Damon does bite her he'll get a mouth full of vervain and then know she's aware of vampires. Or while they're talking the creature she's hunting could come and Casey would have to go into hunter mode, thus Damon would know she's not an ordinary person. He could possibly keep his vampirism a secret, or try to attack her regardless. If you have another idea, just let me know and I can roll with anything xP |

It just shows you have impeccable taste.  I love the idea. Damon's gonna be a little cranky and out of sorts after everything that happened with Katherine and the tomb. He's not likely to be cautious when it comes to feeding. Maybe we could sort of combine all of those, he stumbles upon her during a hunt, decides he's got a meal there and then when the thing she's hunting swoops in and he realises what she is, he tries to feed and take her out and bam. Mouthful of vervain and him having to talk himself out of a staking. |

Bamon! I love the two of them as well. Bonnie has never been one to let him get away with his crap and I think in a way he totally respects that (as much as he respects anything). Damon's been out of town for a little while after finding out that Katherine wasn't in the tomb. I can picture him coming across Bonnie now that he's back and trying to act like he's not in the least remorseful. Snarky little reunion at the Grill anybody?
I can totally see them being fun together too. Damon could probably do with a partner in crime while all the others are trying to get him to straighten up and fly right. Unlike Stefan Damon probably wouldn't try too hard to get Raven to flip her switch back on (unless of course she goes after Elena, then all bets are likely to be off). I can picture the two of them having a bit of a night on the tiles, ignoring the fall out that's going to come afterwards. |

Oh, I can say see the start of this friendship being a near bloody one. Damon could probably do with someone trying to keep him on the straight and narrow, someone who's not seen what he's done in town before now. He'd likely try and kill Dean for it at first but maybe a stalemate kinda forces something different for the two of them and there's a bit of buddy-dom!

Two?! Oh my, Damon is very flattered.  That would be fun. Damon's on a bit of a hate Katherine kick with his return to town (his pride is still stinging and his little heart is broken despite appearances to the contrary). I like the idea of him finding out she's a vampire, maybe we could even combine it with him trying to woo her. He turns up, all puppy eyes and seductive techniques planned and finds her doing something she shouldn't. He's always sworn she didn't have to compel him into loving her but maybe a little compulsion to stop him from freaking out would totally work for them.  Either before or after would be fun. At either time Damon's not gonna be entirely happy to see her, although he'll probably be more concerned about her than he's going to let on. He's all for saving Elena and even Tatia from Klaus at the moment and might brag that he'd hand over Katherine in a heartbeat but there's still enough of him that loves her that he wouldn't. We could have it that STEFAN SALVATORE warned Damon about her return in their thread, so he's not surprised by her being around. *LOL* Both would be good, if the timing would work for us. I swear no novel length threads (well, I'll try for no novel length threads). |

What a wonderful welcome Damon would give her to the world of the not so sulphurous supernatural. It'd totally continue a theme for him too. Damon's been trying to prove to himself that he's not growing a conscience since he's been back but each time he's tried to feed from someone it's gone wrong. The first time he got a mouthful of vervain from the hunter he tried it on with and the second time he encountered a female vampire instead. Him getting a fiery hit the third time would be hilarious for everyone but him!
Finding out that there's this heaven and hell thing going on in town too would prove a great distraction from what's going on with the Mikaelsons and their little ritual. A run in somewhere where he'd tried to seduce would work well for him. Maybe he could then tempt her to a quiet corner or outside, try his thing and get himself a good shock that'd lead them in to their little talk about what's really going on.

I can totally picture him giving her a hard time over the sire bond, his pride'll still sting a little over it, even after a century. Did you want to go for an accidental meeting or for him to hear she was back in town and come looking for her? |

Thought I'd bring Casey back over for another thread if you're up for it. Maybe a less hostile and injury baring one this time haha. Though as it's 2am I'm not ful; of ideas (/.\) It could just be a little coincidental meeting, Damon could come into the diner late and he sees Casey is working there. He could order something and the two could be chatting, maybe earlier in the day Casey had been on a hunt and met an old vampire acquaintance that was switching over to the 'Stefan diet' so he gave Casey his blood bags to dispose of. She could have them in her bag and offer them to Damon, so she can be like "maybe this will keep you from biting people's necks for awhile"? Not the greatest idea but it's what my tired, silly brain has come up with xP If you've other ideas definitely let me know
