friends. Having moved so much Riley would probably struggle to name a single person who's a definite friend to him. There were people he grew friendly with at the schools he attended but as soon as he moved on those friendships simply disappeared. Now he's settling in one place for a while he's hoping to have a few people he can rely on, especially people who might understand what the hell's going on with him.
enemies. Up until now Riley simply hasn't had any. He's never had any issues occur over his sexuality and few have ever bothered to pick on the new kid. Now that Riley is a wolf that might change, although he's not aware of that yet.
family. Family is a really touchy subject for Riley. His mom has never really been part of his life, choosing to focus on her career first, her husband second and her child dead last. His dad isn't much better, just dragging him from town to town while he researches his books or goes on tour.
lovers. Riley would probably say he's never really been in one of these before. Prior to last summer his experience of relationships had been limited to some fun at parties. During his time in Hawaii he had a fling with a guy but thought it was over when they went their separate ways. That could change now that he's finally moved to a new town for more than just a few weeks.

I'm back with this guy! So we said about doing a thread where Sawyer drives the truck to Riley as a surprised cause it's finished before expected. I wondered if you wanted to throw anything else into the mix as well? Both know the other is a werewolf,
both with little experience. Maybe when Sawyer arrives he could find Riley passed out, just after shifting back? He could help get him up and into the house before anyone else comes by, ask why he shifted etc? Let me know what you think

Yay.  I'm always happy to plot with Riley. I love the idea of him being found passed out too. (I so love being cruel to charries). So far it's mainly been calls from his dad that've set him off. Maybe he got a call to say he was heading back (Riley doesn't know at that point that his mom is coming with him), he panics, changes further than he's done before and Sawyer finds him at the tail end of that. Riley would be a little freaked that he still doesn't have the control he needs.

Maybe when Sawyer finds him, having just turned back Riley'd be a little spooked and accidentally use his claws on Sawyer having gotten a fright by the sudden presence? Nothing major just cut his arm or something, then he can lead him inside where they can talk while Sawyer waits for the wound to heal? Do you want me to start with Sawyer finding him?

One of these days I'll realise when I'm tagging myself in a post. XD OMG yes to that idea! It would freak Riley the hell out to think that he'd hurt someone and it'd teach him that wolves aren't fragile. He's not had to heal from anything yet, so although he knows the theory, he's still to see it for himself. If you could start it, it would be great. I should be home for most of this weekend to get all my replies done.

Haha, I've done that once or twice myself xP Sawyer's healed from the odd bruise unknowingly, but this will be the first time he actually notices himself helping and from an open wound. He certainly won't blame Riley, more try to assure it it's alright. Could you get up a residence board for Riley so I could post the starter there? I don't think there is one unless I missed it |

This friend thing is all new for poor little Riley after a life of travelling so he's really revelling in having people around him that he's really getting to know and rely on. The poor guy had his fair share of temper troubles after he was turned, it'll be nice to have someone who'd been through the same thing (and he'd be all bashful and happy at the same time about someone rooting for him and Danny). We should totally drag DANNY MAHEALANI in for a little group thread for the three of them at some point. |

I've been meaning to throw Tatia at Riley for ages but I suck and forgot. Still, here she is now! They were both used in the ritual and I think she would have reached out to him afterwards to make sure that he was ok. She chose to be a part of it so that Elena could live but she would know that Riley didn't have a choice and she would have worried about how he was coping with it all. We could either backdate a thread set a little while after the ritual where she could check in on him or we could say that happened and perhaps have it that they struck up a friendship or something after that and do a present day thread instead, I'm open to ideas!

Riley would probably be glad that she reached out. He was worried about both Tatia and Grace after the ritual. The two of them could be a little support group for either other over it. I think a present day thread would probably work best for the both of them timeline wise. Maybe something set up at the school or like a planned meeting where they check in to make sure the other is doing OK since Niklaus is back in town.

Aww, I love the idea of them being a mini support group! As soon as Tatia learns that Nik is back she is going to be worried about Riley and Grace's safety as well as her own so I could definitely see her finding him to tell him that Nik is back. Maybe something around town would be better? That way they could talk freely.

That would totally work! Riley's going to approach Davina after seeing her with Niklaus but perhaps he only sees them because Tatia's already warned him that Niklaus is back in town. I guess since Riley's parents are off again he'd probably spend a lot of time in town getting dinner, or he's out in the woods. Anywhere would really work for a meeting of their support group I guess. Helpful, I know.
