Leah panicked when she saw Raik’s body lying on the floor. She ignored his protests when she told him she was taking his body to be stored somewhere. The bar to be precise. He rambled on about needing a proper funeral and needing to be buried in the next few days. His brother needed to be told, as did his family. Without a proper funeral, he’d end up in hell. At least that’s what Raik was telling her as she was hauling his large body off the floor. Fuck the funeral. It wasn’t going to happen because Raik would only be dead for a little bit. His parents didn’t need to know and no one needed to mourn him because all of this was temporary.
However, Remzi needed to know and she had no idea how she was going to formulate those words. She felt a prickly in her eyes as she imagined it knowing it was going to crush him. The idiot liked to stroll around pretending not to give a shit about anyone but she knew Raik was his soft spot. Now he was gone and she held some responsibility, but the bare minimum. She still couldn’t understand why Grey and Destiny had killed Raik in such a brutal way. They’d lost a few scout points with the Angels for that, although Grey’s points were well below zero at this point. Leah had actually believed Destiny was a good person until this happened, but she was evil just like Grey, just like Malcolm.
In a blink of an eye, she was inside the bar. Raik’s voice was nothing but an echo in her ears. The bar was empty. She disappeared off into the back, in search of the freezer.
Carelessly, she threw Raik down on the floor as she flipped the lid of the freezer open. After rearranging the freezer she picked the body up and discarded it in there, slamming the lid shut.
Leah had planned on telling the staff at the club about Raik being in the freezer, but time slipped away attending to the spirits and all that shit. Her eyes widened slightly when she appeared in the Emerald City and realised she had teleported straight into the middle of a meeting. “Don’t mind me.” She flashed them all a wide grin, although it was mainly aimed at Hector. The one who imposed a ban on reapers teleporting into the bar left right and centre. “Actually… while you’re all here it’s probably a good time to tell you I’ve stored a body in the freezer… it’s just for a while, like a few days… or weeks… I don’t know but just keep an eye on him, okay?” Blue eyes flicked between the staff, but she could sense pressure in the room as if heated words had been exchanged only moments before she appeared. Her eyes locked on the Canadian vampire though as she stormed over to him, snatching the ice cream off the bar, “Not yours.” She snapped furiously before disappearing out of the bar again.
