Blacklight party. Leah had no idea what the evening was going to entail but it had the word party in the title. One thing she did know was green indicated a person was single so obviously she pulled out every green dress she owned before picking one before heading out. As she arrived at the Mystic Grill she wondered whether she’d bump into Remzi inside. Lots of intoxicated humans for him to feed on but also she wanted to show herself off whilst waving her green glow stick in his face. A sharp reminder that she didn’t belong to him. She wasn’t his. The pair hadn't spoken since she'd made a remark about Raik being the better of the two, indicating she'd settled for second best with Remzi. It wasn't true though. It had always been Remzi, since day one. Inside there was a sea of people dancing, the music was loud and glow sticks were flying around, not that she was going to pay any attention to the colours. If she wanted someone she didn’t care about their ‘significant others’. Having grown up in a household with two parents who hated each other Leah had never really valued relationships, rather deeming them as something that was bound to end eventually. Her perception of relationships and love was skewed, unable to show affection towards anyone. Deep down she knew it was a problem, but on the surface she didn’t care. There was a booth situated in the corner where people were getting their bodies painted. She toyed with the idea, but if a single speck of paint touched her dress she would make a scene. Instead she headed for the dance floor to find someone to entertain her. Her eyes scanned the crowd of people, looking for someone to jump out at her. There was a male dancing with his friends, swinging an orange glow stick around in the air. Complicated but could be persuaded? PerfectThe blonde pushed her way through the crowd until she found her target. Ignoring his friends, she threw her arms around his shoulders as she started to move with his body. After a second she spun around, pressing her lower back into his body. Taking his hands, she placed them on her hips as she continued to move with the music. REMZI DURMAZ

━ like sisyphus pushing that rock uphill, or echo falling for a daffodil ━ Remzi saw her below the building, a blanket wrapped around his head and draped over his eyes to cast shade. It worked as a disguise, too, though Leah probably hadn’t seen him while she was chatting up that fucking guy. Was she there to stalk Remzi? And did she meet that guy by chance or start obviously flirting with him so that Remzi would see?
Either way, it irritated him. Not as much as her comment about Raik, but everything was adding up, snowballing into something he couldn’t get control of. Even if he wanted to keep himself from blowing up on her, his fingertips couldn’t clutch that anger and keep it from boiling over. He was going to explode, and it was all Leah’s fault. Just like most irritations in his life seemed to be nowadays.
Thankfully, he didn’t need to bundle up to follow her to the party. It was easy slipping in, but once he was past the threshold and the smell of all those bodies hit him all at once, Remzi nearly choked on nothing but air. He held his breath for a moment, trying to find Leah in the crowd. He’d obviously waited a few minutes before following her in, not wanting to be right on her heels and ruin the surprise, but now she could’ve sunken in with no way to track her. Or maybe she was already going into the back with some random dude━Remzi wouldn’t put it past her. Two minutes and thirty seconds was enough time for Leah to find a replacement.
Remzi brushed past some guy on his way from the door to the booth, dark hair and bright, blue eyes that reminded him of Leah’s. “Sorry, man,” He flashed a smile, not as slimy and charming as he would’ve given on a regular day under regular circumstances. No, Remzi was set on finding Leah━after he got all painted up. With a short nod, Remzi waited until they could find a way past each other before advancing, tearing his shirt over his head before he’d even reached the table. Some girl was lingering, grinning and blushing when Remzi smiled back at her, waiting to see what colour band he took. He plucked a green one from the bowl and slipped it on, giving her a wink as he did.
“Want to do the honours? I have no artistic talent,” Remzi chuckled, motioning to the glow paints set out. She was decorated nicely, all bright and intricate, so he trusted her to make him look decent. He wanted to be beaming when Leah saw him━but if she could catch a glimpse while Remzi was getting painted by some random chick, then all the better.
Unfortunately, she hadn’t touched him with the brush by the time Remzi found Leah in the mess of bodies. Green glowstick swinging with her movements, even a fucking green dress to go with it all. His jaw tightened, hand shooting up to close around the stranger’s wrist. “Changed my mind.” He muttered without looking at her, and then stepped away, his only focus on Leah.
Remzi pushed through the crowd, only halting his march when he reached Leah, one hand breezing past her head to capture the guy’s neck in his fingers. “Get your hands off her,” Remzi snarled, sounding more animal than human, tightening his digits to constrict the man’s airflow. Blue eyes flicked down to Leah’s, glaring, though there was hurt buried somewhere deep down. “You really know how to pick ‘em, huh? Said you would’ve preferred Raik over me, but you’re with some guy miles below either of us?” He hissed, never loosening his grip on the guy, keeping him ensnared like it was nothing.

Of course Remzi was going to show his face at the party. Drunk humans with no control over themselves? It was a playground for vampires. It wasn’t the only person she clocked though. Moments before Remz’s hand wrapped around the poor human’s throat Leah spotted Destiny through the crowd. No glow stick dangling off her wrist though, and the man standing beside her wasn’t Grey either. That sparked her interest, hoping Destiny had seen sense and dumped Grey. It had been a few months since the pair met on the cute bikini blanket, so Grey would no doubt know his half sister was back from the dead. Yet, no contact from him. She wondered whether he too was planning something. Maybe he was at the party as well, but clearly not with Destiny clinging onto his arm. Her eyes were trained on Destiny when Remzi made a sudden appearance, taking her by surprise to some extent. Her plan had worked, drawing the vampire in like a moth to a light. She rolled her eyes at the mention of Raik’s name. Clearly Remzi hadn’t brushed off that little comment, which both annoyed her and pleased her. Her words had cut as deep as she intended, but she didn’t think Remzi would have held onto them for that long. Quickly the male behind removed his hands from Leah’s body as Remzi spoke. “Let go of him and stop making a scene” It was an order rather than a request, but deep down she enjoyed the attention. All eyes on her, as though she was the most important person in the room, which she was. However, she didn’t want to draw the wrong kind of attention to the pair. The kind that would get them kicked out and ruin her night. Leah twisted her body to face the male standing behind her. She peered up at him, an angelic look painted across her face, “I’m sorry about my friend” There was an emphasis on the word friend. “Another time, another place” An empty suggestion the pair would cross paths again, but her words were for Remzi’s ears only. Wanting to dig that little bit deeper with him. Constantly pushing at his buttons, one by one, until he gave in. She wasn’t interested in the stranger anymore. He’d served his purpose and lured the vampire in. REMZI DURMAZ

━ like sisyphus pushing that rock uphill, or echo falling for a daffodil ━ Stop making a scene? It was her fault he was like this, all angry and possessive over some bitch who only wanted him some of the time. He was tired of this game, tired of getting hurt and manipulated by her. Remzi wanted to be the one fucking with her head and causing her pain.
The anger boiling in his chest didn’t waver, but it didn’t stop him from listening to Leah, either. She was right━causing a scene wasn’t worth it. He wanted to, though. Remzi didn’t care who heard them screaming at each other, but, just as he always seemed to do now, Remzi listened; laid down and showed his fucking belly. God, she was the one he should’ve had his hands around, fingers squeezing the life out of her until she begged him to stop. Remzi wanted Leah to feel small and malleable in his hands for once.
Friend. His arms were at his sides by then, hands clenched into fists to stop him from moving again. It didn’t work, though, not as he reached out and clutched Leah’s hips, bringing her back and against him.
‘Another time, another place.’
Remzi hated feeling hooked on her every word, so emotional each time she opened her gob. He hated and loved the way Leah made him feel all at the same time; it was the only reason he stuck around… or the only reason he’d admit to himself. “No, there won’t be.” His voice was like a growl, ripping out from his chest and forcing his whole body to rumble.
Remzi gave the asshole one more glare for good measure before spinning Leah around, using his strength and the sheer girth of his arms to trap her against him. “Friend?” He repeated, wondering if she thought that’d make him jealous, or if he was hoping they were more. Somehow, despite the undeniable irritation this all caused him, he was still amused by their childish game of tit-for-tat. Or perhaps he only liked it when he got to dish it out.
The vampire leaned down to her, one hand snaking its way up her spine, clutching the back of her head. “You think I’d ever be your friend?” Remzi scoffed in her ear, his tone absent of any respect. The hand in her hair moved forward while he inched back, his large hand snatching her jowls in a tight grip. He didn’t want to hurt her; he wanted Leah to think that he would━even just for a moment. Nearing her face, he met her eye, expression unchanged from something between serious and amused.
“Would anybody? What are you good for other than keeping my bed warm and overstaying your welcome?”

A warm feeling rose in the pit of her stomach as she watched Remzi react to her words. Friend. Like an obedient little dog he didn’t make a scene, although his clenched fists were obviously itching to swing at the male behind Leah. She didn’t fight his grip as he pulled her close. The only place she wanted to be that evening. His arm around her body, clinging onto her curves. Wanting his body pressed against hers in the crowd as they moved to the music, but before any dancing could be done he swung her around. Away from the stranger who had taken the cue and left. The pair had been back together for all of five minutes and they had slipped back into their old behaviour. Nothing had changed between them. Interactions fuelled by anger and jealousy, as though it suited them to a tee. The tiniest part of her was growing tired of it, aching to let that wall around her down, but she refused. Refused to let Remzi be the one that hurt her. “You think I’d ever be your friend?”She felt his hand glide up her back to her neck, fingers tangled in her hair as he spoke. Leah didn’t have friends, she'd rather surround herself with people who could benefit her. People she could use. A smirk on her lips as he wrapped his fingers around her jaw, holding her tightly. There was no trace of fear in her. She was a reaper, one who couldn’t be killed by a broken neck. “Would anybody? What are you good for other than keeping my bed warm and overstaying your welcome?”
Leah was the one who started this bickering, but still, his words cut her. A small scratch on a hardened surface. A surface Remzi was slowly eroding away at, despite it being her fault. She was forever hampered by her inability to show love and affection towards anyone. It was burning there inside of her, but she had no way to express it bar spiteful words and cruel comments. Remzi didn’t realise this was her way of showing she cared. She cared about the stupid unkept vampire, but her face remained emotionless as she looked back at her. “Are you going to dance with me or what?” Her hands moved around his waist, as his remained clamped on her jaw, “I hope you like my green dress” The one she chose out for Remzi to see. ━ like sisyphus pushing that rock uphill, or echo falling for a daffodil ━ For one tiny, fleeting moment, Remzi wondered if Leah was tired of this, too. He didn’t necessarily hate it; it was as fun as it always had been━maybe he was still just scorned over her comment about Raik. It hurt more than he’d wanted it to━more than he should’ve allowed her to affect him━but that was over now. She would never be tired of it because this was her game, and Remzi went into it knowingly. She’d never pretended to be somebody else; he’d liked her just the way she was.
And, as he should’ve presumed, she didn’t even flinch when he mutely threatened to break her neck.
‘Are you going to dance with me or what?’
Her only response━not giving any reaction to his words or actions, and he wondered if he’d struck a nerve. He hoped so. The worst part of Remzi wanted to make her cry, and she seemed to be happy to always bring out the worst in him, though normally it was only on her terms. Deep in his mind, he laughed━how did she like it now?
Slowly, his hand slid down to close around her throat, flexing his fingers just barely, giving it the lightest squeeze he could manage━a little warning, made somewhat playful by the smirk tugging at his lips. “Hadn’t noticed it.” Remzi responded gruffly about her dress, a lie of course, but two could play at that game. Her game of refusing to give in. He leaned back an inch or two to survey it, then shrugged nonchalantly, moving back in. “It’s fine, I guess.”
One more little squeeze and his hand came down, palm brushing the part of her chest not covered by the dress, letting one finger catch the neckline on his way down, tugging fruitlessly. The touch wasn’t meant to move it, just to play at the fabric, broad shoulders rolling inwards. He curled over Leah, wanting to overtake her, make her feel small in all the ways he was good at. His arms slipped over her own, bracketing them to her sides━trapping Leah. His fingers came down, over her curves, the smallest part of her waist, then her hips, finally grabbing her backside in one hand.
Remzi tried his best to focus on the music... instead of the bodies around them, or Leah’s heart thumping against his ribcage. His body found the lump-lump-lump of the bass, moving to it now, drowning in this grungy club life he’d loved long before he’d turned or ever met Leah. It felt like everything had changed since then, but the human Remzi had been was still buried somewhere deep. The vampire searched for him now, moving to the music and pulling Leah close, one leg bent to shift his thigh between hers, getting impossibly nearer. Remzi dipped his head and buried it in her neck, breathing Leah in━the scent of her perfume, the asshole from before, and the blood pumping beneath her skin. His eyes went dark, veins appearing below them, easily hidden by the lights and her shoulder. While his hips rolled against her own to the beat, Remzi scraped his fangs against her skin; a silent plead━because he sure as hell wouldn’t beg her out loud.

The violent outbursts from Remzi only excited more, knowing her life was secure even if he did choose to snap her neck right there on the dancefloor. She had nothing to fear in his actions, his emotions however were a different story. She didn’t want Remzi to hate her, but it was an outcome that was becoming inevitable by the day. Her sly behaviour only pushed the vampire further away from her. It’s what she needed though. Space. Her stomach knotted at the very thought of getting close to someone. Allowing someone to get to know her. Leah rolled her eyes. Of course, he noticed her dress. She looked irresistible in it. The green fabric clinging to every curve in her body, riding up with every step until it was left skimming her cheeks. The neckline scooping a little bit too low but not low enough for her. She let out a sarcastic short laugh, “If you say so…” Remzi was a simple man and she knew how to make his head turn. Clothing that left little to the imagination. A skirt that rode so high a gush of wind would leave you exposed to the world. A smirk formed on his lips as his hands explored her body, as they had done many times before. The feeling of his skin on hers caused the hairs on her arms to raise a fraction, sparking something deep inside her. The intention to make her feel trapped did the opposite. His tight grip around her small body made her feel safe and secure. Made her feel wanted, even though she knew that wasn’t his aim. She let herself embrace the feeling for a second. Inhaling deeply, taking in Remzi’s scent as she relaxed a little. No matter how hard he tried, Leah knew Remzi was no danger to her. It was obvious Remzi was struggling to keep up with the beat of the music, but Leah ignored this and continued to move at her own pace. She knew being around this many humans was challenging for the vampire. The sweaty bodies and racing heartbeats as they dance around the pair. She tilted her head slightly as Remzi placed his head on her neck. She could feel him breathing on her skin. Inhaling almost, but he was now moving in time with her body. Her frame pressed hard against his. A second smirk crept across her face as she felt the sharp end of his teeth move along her bare skin. The temptation was getting to Remzi. An urge she could never relate to. She sighed quietly, the sound lost in the music. She let her hands drift slowly up his top. Her bare hands pushed against his skin before she dug her nails in a little, “No” She spoke loud enough for him to hear her. Truthfully she wanted him to sink his teeth so deep into her skin. Consume every part of her, but she wasn’t about to give him what he wanted. Her. REMZI DURMAZ

━ like sisyphus pushing that rock uphill, or echo falling for a daffodil ━ The desperation was nearly unbearable. Remzi could feel it in every cell of his body, yearning for the blood that pulsed in Leah’s veins. It was the only kind he hadn’t had yet━there was an exchange there, wanton women ready for the taking, but the denial always had Remzi wishing for it harder. He knew that’s what she was doing to him, and while he didn’t like to give in━especially when the scales were uneven━he didn’t have a choice. Blood was an entirely different ballgame, a desperation━a need. If he took from her, then he needed her, and that was almost as despicable as the thought that she would be the one to save him. That she could… share anything with him, especially something so valuable. It was a step too far, a line they’d danced around and threatened but never crossed.
He should’ve expected her to say no. It burned in his throat, and he wished he could lash out, but it was better like this. When he eventually got to taste her━and he would, Remzi was sure━it would be better than any other woman he’d ever fed from.
Remzi’s body stuttered and slowed as Leah pushed him away, the dig of her nails faint enough to capture his attention. He almost hadn’t heard her denial, eyes focused on nothing but the thumping of her jugular. His mouth felt dry suddenly, tongue stuck to the bottom of his mouth. When he met her gaze, the same colour as his own but so much prettier, Remzi finally relaxed. The darkness faded, fangs retreating into his gums, left looking like a human in her arms. Everything but that unmistakable warmth, though the sweat around them seemed to mask it, along with the (regular) meal he’d just eaten with Raik.
He couldn’t speak, though, for once, Remzi had nothing to say. He swayed with Leah, both hands moving back to close around her waist, his grip almost wide enough to capture her completely, fingers nearly meeting at her back. She was small in his hands, but somehow still gained the upper hand when it came to this. Remzi almost sunk his fangs in, completely ignoring her refusal and giving into his needs alone, but some part of him cared. He wouldn’t do that to her, and that was the biggest tell of all.
Weakness.
Sighing, his forehead dropped to her own, eyes closing as they continued to move together. He needed a moment to focus on anything but the blood, whether it was Leah’s or the countless other bodies around them, and regain his composure. His throat still burned for it, fingers flexing in her skin. Remzi breathed slowly, moving slowly down to her lips, meeting her with a gentleness he’d never possessed before. The kiss grew stronger by the second, blunt teeth scraping Leah’s bottom lip, finally drawing back to move with her again. One leg shifted between Leah’s, bringing her hips closer than ever. He wanted her to talk to him, to say anything, but felt wrong asking━like it would be just another example of how he was eroding for her.

The pair fell silently. No more digging, no more remarks, just silence as they moved in time with the music. They’d finished taking scoops out of one another, leaving behind an air of bitterness between them. A bitterness that rarely faded, at least for Leah, yet it was always her that started. Without her snide comments, the pair could probably have had a nice evening together, but she liked pushing the vampire into reacting. She had no idea what a loving relationship looked like. Her childhood home was full of hatred and toxicity, which eventually rubbed off onto her and became part of who she was. Hating the fact she had been forced into a world that didn’t even want her in the first place. Never feeling as though she belonged anywhere, which was even more true now she was a reaper. Doomed to wander the streets collecting the souls of the dead. Even the pack were no longer her family because she was no longer one of them. Leah told herself every day she didn’t need anyone, until she met Remzi. He’d chipped away at that idea slowly over time. Problem was, he brought out the worst in her, but he didn’t realize he was also warming her stone cold heart. The one that was shattered when her mom told her she didn’t love her, leaving her to believe it was broken beyond repair. Leah looked back at Remzi, his face fading to normal under the strobe lights. “We’ll find you a meal on the way home” She suggested, a smirk on her face as she released her fingers from his skin. Just how he did with her, she sought to bring out the worst in Remzi. Telling him it was okay to tear the humans apart. Watching as he embraced the monster that lived inside him. She peered up at him as he moved down to kiss her softly, finding herself returning a gentle kiss for a brief moment before their kisses descended into passion. Her hands rested on his lower back as he broke away, her mind searching for something to say to him. “I saw Grey’s little plaything earlier which means he could be here” She spoke as though nothing had just happened. Blue eyes scanning the bodies around them, but no sign of her half-brother. She returned her gaze to Remzi, peering back up at him as he towered over her, “Except she was with another guy which kinda fucks up my plans as I was going to go for her in an attempt to lure Grey in. Use her as bait y’know… it could still work though because I’m assuming he cares about the dumb bitch” She was putting all her eggs in one basket by going after Destiny, but she was almost certain Grey would come running to his damsel in distress. ━ like sisyphus pushing that rock uphill, or echo falling for a daffodil ━ ‘We’ll find you a meal on the way home.’
It shouldn’t have felt comforting━as if she was taking care of Remzi by allowing him a human to feast on, something on the way out of this fucking place. But it did, and while Leah was smirking, Remzi didn’t mirror the mischievous expression. He only gave a curt nod and let his blue eyes fall from hers, finding her lips before taking them with his own. He kissed and danced with her, allowing the silence to blanket them for a while until, finally, she spoke.
Still hunched over Leah, he knotted his brows, gaze never leaving her own, even as she looked away from him. Grey… shit, Grey Haven. Her brother. That’s why Leah was in Mystic Falls━was it why she was lingering outside of the hotel, too? Because it was her brother’s?
“Who?” He asked, brows furrowing down at Leah. “Grey’s here? In Mystic Falls?” There was a flash of irritation, ready to get defensive on Leah’s behalf, willing to fight anybody for her━especially the asshole that had come after her that first time. But, the more she talked, the more Remzi felt a little uneasy. Far be it for him to question someone’s moral compass, but if the ‘plaything’ was just that, did she deserve whatever kind of shit Leah wanted to throw at her? Remzi knew first-hand how awful she could be.
“Yeah, sounds like more than a plaything if you’re going after her to get to him,” Remzi chuckled humourlessly, though he couldn’t imagine anybody in their right mind wanting to date that piece of shit. “Maybe she learned and then moved on. Found somebody else,” Once Grey revealed his true colours to her, most likely. If she wasn’t a dumbass.
Remzi dipped his head, kissing along Leah’s jaw, pausing to mumble in her ear, “Unless she’s just as bad as him. She do something to you? Or just an easy target?” He asked before slipping up to hover over her lips, fingers tightening possessively around Leah’s hips.

The silence wasn’t welcomed by Leah, especially when she was with Remzi. Anything to stop her dwelling in her own thoughts and accepting that maybe part of her enjoyed the vampire's company. A part of her was happy he was back in her life, even if they were fighting in the middle of a dance floor in a bar. So she filled the silence with talks of Grey. When they met she told Remzi the same story she’d told Cory. Grey came for her and killed her, failing to mention the parts in between. Refusing to admit to the fact she was the outcome of an affair and her mere presence brings heartache to those involved. “I hope she’s just brought that guy here to make Grey jealous” A trick she’d used plenty of times with Remzi and it worked every single time, just how it had that evening. Making him jealous brought a smile to her face as it made her feel wanted. She tilted her head slightly as Remzi ran traces of kisses along her jawline, “Nah she’s just an easy target. So naive” Especially given her troubling past that was written in a few articles on the internet. Destiny practically welcomed her with open arms that day in the park. Happily sharing her picnic blanket and cookies with Leah without any question. Blue eyes met Remzi’s dark ones as his lips lingered over hers. She landed a gentle peck on his lips, “I know where she works anyway. I was planning on waiting for her outside of work next Monday then taking her to an abandoned building outside of Mystic Falls… I found it the other week when collecting a soul” As she recited the plan in her head, a sinister smirk grew on her face. She knew she could overpower Destiny no problem and the pair would be in the building in an instant. If the plan didn’t work then it would just leave Destiny with the realization that maybe Grey just doesn’t care about her that much. REMZI DURMAZ

━ like sisyphus pushing that rock uphill, or echo falling for a daffodil ━ “Think she took a page out of your book?” Remzi scoffed, rolling his eyes, though there was a smirk pulling at his lips. He loved it; no matter how much it irritated him━he’d never had so much fun with a chick before. Leah was off her fucking rocker, but Remzi was into it. Some part of him craved for more, deeper, but he shoved it away for now. As if she was the water, Remzi slipped his palms over her curves, washing his hands of it━of everything they’d never be. In these forms, the Leah and Remzi they were now, they couldn’t have it. And he was alright with that for the time being.
One hand slipped around, holding her tiny waist in a single, large arm, the other skimming up to the spot between her shoulder blades. The single peck wasn’t nearly enough, and Remzi dove in, hungry for it━for something else, but this would do. Digits combing through her hair, grabbing on near the scalp so he could get a better grip, Remzi kissed her━a real kiss, not like the school ground peck she’d given him. Every breath he took was part Leah, part Remzi, all them, mixed in his lungs, inhaling her like oxygen.
The topic wasn’t romantic at all, but he didn’t have the brainpower to respond as his head dipped to her sternum, nosing his way down. He tongued the journey back up, one fat stripe before laying kisses across her collarbone, settling in the scent of Leah. His arm kept her drawn tight against him still, hips moving idly to whatever beat they could find together, something that was just them.
“To do what?” He asked finally, voice muffled by his hiding spot in her neck where he’d found refuge again. Remzi’s eyes went dark, though he kept them closed, focusing only on her heart and the blood he could practically feel coursing through Leah. Perhaps it was just his head swimming with bloodlust, but it felt like her pulse was thudding in time with the music, dancing against his lips and just for him. “Kill her? Torture her? Just to get Grey,” Remzi chuckled as if he’d never done a stupid thing in his life. “Is it even worth it now? He killed you once; you really think you can get him this time?”
And how could they ever be anything more when all they did was poke and prod until the other grew angry?

Blue eyes peered up at Remzi, almost glaring at him. If Destiny had brought the other guy along to make Grey jealous then that was a classic Leah move. She loved dangling other men in front of Remzi, watching him get even more and more angry, which was probably made worse by the whole heightened emotion bullshit. God knows what emotions would be heightened for her if she was turned. The vampire had only just scratched the surface with Leah though, there was so much more below. Was there any warmth beneath all the payers? Her non-biological dad would say so. The only person she’s ever treated with love and respect. The only one who’d see the real her. The rest of the world had only seen the cold, ruthless, Leah. “It works for me” It's easy to stir jealousy in Remzi. Her skin tingled as he moved his hands over her curves, wishing his palm was touching her skin rather than the fabric that lay between them. Wanting to feel his grip on her skin, almost tight enough to leave a mark. The pair had the perfect balance of passion, leaving her wanting more from the vampire. Leah had managed to pry herself away from Remzi before, but now he was back in her addiction to him was stronger than ever. The odd moment she found herself almost always she as thinking of him and she hated it. Longing to feel his lips on hers as the pair became tangled in the bedsheets. She struggled to pinpoint what it was about Remzi that made him so different from the ones she’d had before. As if Remzi read her mind, in that moment he grabbed her with that passion she loved so much and kissed her. There was no holding back for her, as she pulled him in towards her wanting to feel his cool skin against hers. Wanting to explore every inch of him, leaving no space untouched. She gripped the fabric of his t-shirt tightly in her hand, the temptation to rip it from his body there and then. Fuck the crowd that was surrounding them. It was just them in two at that moment. Remzi pulled back, moving his mouth to her collar bone as an almost inaudible sigh left her mouth, becoming lost in the music. “Kill her? Torture her? Just to get Grey,”It was a million dollar question. One she had pondered over for weeks and weeks, “I’d be in a lot of trouble with Death if I killed her. It’s a reaper’s job to keep the natural order in balance, apparently” They were there to help the souls, not killing off their half brother’s lover and the poor girl didn’t deserve to be tortured unless she started whining. It was the really that had her body tensing. Remzi was questioning her ability to kill Grey, probably on purpose. Intending to wind her up. “Things are different this time. I cannot be killed” So easily at least. REMZI DURMAZ

━ like sisyphus pushing that rock uphill, or echo falling for a daffodil ━ Imagining Leah sticking to any sort of rules had a deep, hearty laugh bubbling up from Remzi. She was nearly as out of control as he was, and if she was a newly-turned vampire instead of a reaper, Remzi imagined Leah would have just as much trouble not ripping apart everything with a beating heart. She wasn’t even a vampire, and she still liked doing that shit… or watching him do it.
“Apparently.” Remzi repeated gruffly, chuckling, face still buried in the warmth of her body. He felt her tense at his verbal prodding, strong hands keeping hold of her as she moved, feeling every muscle twitch and bunch under her skin. He could almost hear them, her veins constricting, then the rush of blood when her muscles relaxed. Remzi licked the spot on her neck where he’d like to bite, declaring it his favourite and gently marking it with a scrape of teeth that nobody would know about except him… and her. Leah would always know; he hoped she’d be able to feel him there, a phantom touch of his fangs, as real as the dead were to her. A brand; his claim.
She was his just as much as he was hers, and she wouldn’t forget it now, he declared it without a word.
‘Things are different this time. I cannot be killed.’
Remzi finally eased away, blue eyes finding Leah’s, the dark veins disappearing once he focused on her words━her breath━rather than the blood that pumped under the surface. “Right,” Remzi hummed and smirked like he didn’t believe it, slipping one of those hands up to close around her throat. He tightened his grip just enough for her to feel it, in tune with Leah’s body to the point where he knew exactly how much pressure she needed. Remzi could feel them again, the muscles flexing, the blood vessels tightening, and he wondered what she’d do if he snapped her neck in the middle of the dance floor.
Maybe another night.
Remzi tasted her lips again, kept her hips on his with his other hand, and danced with Leah until she was ready to leave. He grew bored quickly with most things, but Leah’s attention span was as short as his own, and he trusted her to not let the night drag on. He was, after all, looking forward to that late-night snack.
