512 words | STILES STILINSKI | (Finished!) credit to nat of adoxography. | It was easy for Lydia to tease at this point however she meant it in good spirit. She was aware of the crush he had on her, that he had harboured it for a long time. For her though she had not long started to notice him. He wasn’t invisible anymore. Part of her did feel a little guilty for that but it was too late to dwell on it. She began teasing about a notebook that he probably scrawled over. Marrying them up in little love hearts and other cute ways in hopes that one day she might notice him. She asked if she could see it and gave a small pout when he said never, ” I do think its cute.” She laughed a little. She asked about what he used to write, and he went on to compliment her again, not for the first time that evening, ” Incredible, yes. Stunning, no. I don’t mind hearing it again.” Lydia smiled just to clarify. They got onto the topic of a date, Stiles asking for reassurance before he actually outright asked her out on a date. What he didn’t realise is that by asking her to prom he has already asked her out before. He just didn’t seem to think it was the same thing. She recognised the quote from the movie and finished it off for him. She grinned when he gave her a cryptic answer back. An answer she deserved considering what she was doing at the minute. She went on to ask if what he wanted was something more private and she could tell that she got him on that one, ” Only maybe?” She asked coyly. Though in the end she put him out of his misery and actually answered his question with a serious answer. If he asked, she would say yes. Things between them were already moving in some place more than friendship. She would be willing to see where it went. When he seemed to not believe her answer she went on to clarify it, ” I have been that mean, and you know it.” Lydia reminded him. She was capable of it, even despite the fact the leaf she had turned over. She quirked an eyebrow at him when he said how she just made his decade, ” Well… don’t get to ahead of yourself… you haven’t actually asked me yet.” She smirked at him challenging him once again, ” No need to ask right now. I’ll give you time to plan.” She told him, though at least he would know the answer when the time rolled around for him to ask. Moments later she found herself kissing him. If they were going to see where this was going, she would go all in or not at all. Nice to actually kiss when the other party wasn’t hysterical. That had been their interactions thus far. The night to remember a lot of high school kids would say… and for Stiles and Lydia it certainly was magical. |
