SPECIAL CHILDRENSpecial Children are humans that were carefully selected by Azazel and fed his blood when they were babies. Their parents made a deal with the demon which, at the time, would have unknown consequences for them. From bringing the person they loved back to life to granting them their heart's deepest desire Azazel knew just which buttons to push with each of the parents and he gave it to them in exchange for being granted access to their home on a certain date in the future. Azazel, needing to find the one who could become Lucifer's vessel, gathered all of his first wave of Special Children together and had them fight to the death, a fight eventually resulting in Sam Winchester being the only survivor thanks to the help of his brother Dean.
The abilities of the Special Children lay dormant for the most part after Azazel died before being activated by Rowena after she brought him back to life. The children chosen by Azazel this time around were again granted supernatural abilities that vary from one Special Child to another which he used to break Lucifer out of the cage and he may try and recruit those Special Children to serve as generals in Lucifer's fight against humanity and God in the future. Drinking demon blood strengthens the abilities of Special Children and those abilities have stayed with them even after Lucifer was freed.
Creation: Being fed Azazel's blood while a baby. Abilities: Abilities vary from one Special Child to another and each Special Child can have a maximum of three abilities. Obvious Weaknesses: Special Children are human and have all of the weaknesses that go with it.

TRIBRIDSAlong with the Original Hybrid, Tribrids are incredibly rare and there is only one in existence. Hope Mikaelson, the child born to Klaus Mikaelson and Hayley Marshall is a witch-werewolf-vampire tribrid and the only one of her kind. As the firstborn of her bloodline, Hope will inherit a great deal of power although there is a chance that her vampire and werewolf blood could taint her witch abilities. Like her father before her, Hope will need to trigger her curse in order to access her werewolf side but in the meantime she will be able to tap into her magical abilities and her vampire side means that she heals quickly and is able to turn werewolves into hybrids through her blood.
A Tribrid is born with a vampire side however this does not activate properly until they have died. After completing the transition by drinking human blood, Tribrids have all of the benefits of vampires such as compulsion, dream manipulation, etc. but are not vulnerable to the son due to their werewolf and witch side.
Creation: Born. Abilities: Enhanced senses (through her werewolf gene); healing, siring, compulsion, dream walking, enhanced strength, speed, agility, durability and emotions; emotional control (humanity switch) (through her vampire gene); spell casting, channeling, potion brewing, divination (through her witch gene); werewolf bite cure. Obvious Weaknesses: Aggression; disbelief; distraction; herbs; magic; mortality; overexertion; potential for becoming a werewolf by killing someone; potential for becoming a vampire by dying.

VAMPIRESBeginning First created by Esther over a thousand years ago when she cast a spell to stop her from losing any more children, all vampires around the world are descended either directly or indirectly from one of the five Original Vampires - the Mikaelsons. Killing an Original using a white oak stake also kills every vampire who shares their bloodline although this has yet to be tested in our timeline.
Transition Vampires were once humans, witches, warlocks or psychics who were brought back to life after dying with vampire blood in their system and are capable of transforming other people into more of their kind. When a person dies with vampire blood in their system they wake up in a state between life and death and are then faced with a choice to either complete the transition and become a vampire or refuse to do so and die as a human. Some do choose the latter but if they are tempted by human blood it is very difficult for them to show the restraint needed not to drink it and complete the transition in the first place.
Feeding Vampires feed and survive on the blood of the living, typically on that of humans, although certain vampires choose to survive on animal blood instead for one reason or another. Vampires cannot enter a home owned by a living person without an invitation by the owner and will desiccate if they do not feed for an extended amount of time.
Bloodlust Certain vampires struggle with their bloodlust to the extent that they almost become a different person entirely when they drink human blood and kill without remorse at the time although they can be racked with guilt later. This kind of vampire is known as a Ripper and the worst known to the world is Stefan Salvatore who often rips the bodies of his victims apart while he feeds from them in a frenzy only to feel a tremendous amount of guilt afterwards and piece them back together.
Please note We only follow the TVD lore for vampires, not the lore introduced for the species in Supernatural meaning that nests and being cured of being a vampire by killing the sire do not happen.
Creation: Being turned by a Mikaelson or another vampire. Common Abilities: Enhanced strength, speed, agility, senses, durability and emotions; emotional control (humanity switch); healing; immortality; compulsion. VAMPIRES - ORIGINAL VAMPIRESThe Original Vampires were created by the Immortality Spell that was created by Esther in order to make her husband and children immortal and make them faster and stronger than werewolves so that she wouldn't lose any more of her children. Created through a ritual that involved drinking the blood of Tatia Petrova, Original Vampires are the strongest of them all and are able to compel all vampires aside from other Originals and all vampires are descended from one of those bloodlines. The only Original Vampire who wasn't created by Esther is Tatia Petrova who was turned into an Original by Henrik Mikaelson recreating his mother's spell. Original Vampires cannot enter a home owned by a living person without an invitation by the owner and will desiccate if they do not feed for an extended amount of time.
Only capable of being killed by being stabbed in the heart with a White Oak Stake and only capable of being truly neutralized through being daggered using a White Oak Ash Dagger or one of the Cursed Stakes, any other injuries are only a temporary irritation for these vampires. Being drained of blood or the heart stopping will make an Original Vampire desiccate, sunlight without a lapis lazuli ring will burn but not kill them and werewolf bites will make an Original fall ill and suffer from hallucinations although this only lasts a few hours.
Creation: Through the Immortality Spell created by Esther and a thousand years later by Henrik. VETALASVetalas are almost snake like creatures who are loyal and protective of their own kind and have a very strong pack mentality. They most commonly hunt in pairs and very rarely hunt on their own. They have sharp fangs through which they can inject paralyzing venom into their prey although it is possible for vetalas to conceal these fangs and appear completely normal until they decide to strike which makes them a very dangerous predator.
Creation: Born. Abilities: Super strength, senses and agility; paralyzing venom. Obvious Weaknesses: Silver; decapitation; heart extraction.

WERECREATURES - WOLVES, COYOTES AND OTHERSWerecreatures are supernatural shapeshifting species who are forced to transform into large, fearsome and hostile animals on the night of the full moon and stay that way until the following morning. Werecreatures can take on a number of forms but the most common are werewolves with other species such as werecoyotes and weretigers being much less common. BeginningThere are three ways in which a person can become a werecreature. The first is that a person can be bitten by an Alpha either during the full moon while the Alpha is in their wolf form or at any point during the month while the Alpha is half shifted. The second way is by being born with at least one parent who is already a werecreature. Depending on the bloodline they can either start transforming when they reach maturity which is usually between the ages of thirteen and sixteen years old or they can trigger the curse by taking a human life. The third way was always thought to be a myth and is incredibly rare but certain individuals can be turned by being slashed with an Alpha werecreature's claws if the cuts run deep enough. When a person transforms the most common result is that they become a werewolf however the form the person takes is said to reflect their true selves so if a person has a dark soul then they might become a werejaguar instead. There are also certain families that take the form of different creatures and it has been that way for generations. TransformationWerecreatures are strongest during a full moon which is the only time during which they can transform fully although they are able to half shift at any time to increase their strength and senses or sometimes even against their will if they lose control. Shifting to an animal causes a great deal of pain to the werecreature as every bone in the body breaks while depending on the degree of half shifting at any other time, this is much less painful. Remaining in Animal FormOn rare occasions werecoyotes can choose to remain in their coyote form for a long period of time before transforming back although in the case of some inexperienced werecoyotes who don't have proper guidance they can find themselves trapped in their canine form the first time they transform. The only way for them to transform back is by mastering their werecoyote form or being made to transform back by an Alpha. Eye ColourThere are three different eye colours a werecreature can have: - Red for an Alpha or True Alpha.
- Gold for someone who has not taken a life.
- Blue for someone who has taken a life.
PacksWerecreatures often enjoy the company that comes with being in a pack and these packs are led by an Alpha or a True Alpha. Most packs consist solely of werecreatures and often have a druid adviser with the only pack known to be the exception to this rule being the McCall pack which also consists of humans, hunters, banshees and other creatures in addition to werecreatures and a druid. Werecreatures that belong to a pack are known as betas and do not need to have been bitten by the Alpha in order to take on this status while werecreatures that choose to live without a pack are known as omegas. All werecreatures are stronger when they belong to a pack. Becoming an AlphaThe only way for a werecreature to become an Alpha is by killing someone who is already an Alpha. The only exception to this rule is in the case of a True Alpha who is an ordinary werewolf who became an Alpha through the strength and purity of their character and the sheer force of their will. Scott McCall is the only True Alpha in the world and his Alpha status cannot be taken by anyone other than a werecreature of his own making. AbilitiesEven in human form werecreatures possess supernatural strength and speed as well as enhanced senses although not to the same level as a vampire. Werecreatures are strongest during the full moon which is the only time during which they can transform fully although they are able to half shift at any time to increase their strength and senses or sometimes even against their will if they lose control. The only exception to this rule is if a female werecreature is pregnant as at that time they will not transform for the entire duration of the pregnancy as this would prove fatal to the baby. A bite from a werecreature is fatal to a vampire and an Alpha's bite has the ability to transform a person into a werecreature. An Alpha's bite has been known to work on a nogitsune while banshees and hellhounds are immune. Werecreatures have anger issues but are able to control these and stay in control of their animal form during the full moon if they have an Anchor - an individual they can focus on that will help them stay in control. All werecreatures lose their abilities during a lunar eclipse and for twenty minutes they are essentially human. FeudThere is a longstanding feud between werewolves and vampires that goes back centuries. The two are enemies due to the fact that Mikael slaughtered the werewolves in his village after discovering that Niklaus was not his biological son. While in wolf form their natural instincts are to kill vampires on sight although they still hunt humans if there are no vampires to be found unless the werewolf has found an anchor. WITCHES AND WARLOCKSVery little is known about the origin of witchcraft or when it first started, all anyone knows is that it has existed for thousands of years and is passed down through blood from one generation to another. Women go by the name of witches while men go by the name of warlocks. Witches and warlocks do not receive their powers from demons nor do they worship the Devil as has been thought in the past, instead magical knowledge and skills are often passed down from parent to child along with grimoires containing spells, potions and rituals that span back generations.
Witches and warlocks often consider themselves "Servants of Nature" and make it their duty to maintain balance within the world. The Balance of Nature is a spiritual belief based on the reverence of Mother Nature and the state the Earth is in. Witches and warlocks believe that all living things whether they are plants, animals, humans and so on are sacred and should be protected. Most witches and warlocks are very in tune with nature and are able to draw power from it although there are also those who actively seek to work against this belief and instead use their powers for personal gain.
In the modern day, witches often use ceremonies, rituals and shamanic practices to attune themselves with the universe in order to gain guidance and knowledge from the Spirits however not all witches and warlocks follow this belief system and free will gives them a choice in how their powers are practiced.
There have been times over the years when witches and warlocks have been known to work alongside vampires and other supernatural creatures, either through loyalty, trust or friendship, while other witches and warlocks believe that vampires go against the natural order of things given that they were created from dark magic which goes against the belief that all living things eventually die. Some also think that other species go against the natural order and actively work against them.
While witches and warlocks are born to at least one magical parent, their powers do not manifest until they reach maturity except in certain circumstances where parents or mentors are able to teach the next generation to tap into their powers at a younger age. When a witch or warlock taps into their powers before they reach maturity their magic is always wild and unpredictable so even those from magical families going back generations prefer to let each generation come into their powers naturally. This does not mean that those who wait are immediately able to control their powers, though, as when they begin to manifest naturally they are often difficult to control without proper guidance although this is still much easier than then magic is tapped into at a young age.

WITCHES AND WARLOCKS - SIPHONERSSome witches and warlocks are born without the ability to create their own magic, even those born to longstanding magical families, and these are known as siphoners. Siphoners are incredibly rare and have to rely on drawing magic from other people, objects or even places infused with magic in order to do even the most basic of spells. These witches and warlocks are often seen as abominations within the magical community and are faced with harsh treatment should they be discovered. Due to the treatment they often face from other witches and warlocks when they are discovered, siphoners often decide to keep to themselves or to a close knit group comprising of other siphoners in order to avoid persecution.
Siphoners often appear to be born without any magical abilities whatsoever until they accidentally siphon from someone or something. Unlike those born with magic, siphoners are able to siphon magic from the day they are born but they often only learn what to do with it with the right guidance. Siphoned magic does not last for long, if it is not used it dissipates within an hour and once this has happened or the siphoner has used up the supply of magic they have gained they have no choice but to siphon again. Some siphoners have learned that through having a witch or warlock willingly store some of their own magic inside a pendant it can stay there indefinitely until the supply has been completely used up by the siphoner.
Please note Siphoners do not have to be born into the Gemini Coven.

DEMONS - CAMBIONSThe age old debate of nature versus nurture has never been truer than it is within cambions. Conceived while one parent is being possessed by a demon, there have only been a few known cambions to ever have existed but given their ability to conceal their presence there could have been more. Like nephilim, cambions aren't as powerful as they were in the show.
Jesse Turner was thought to be the Anti-Christ, the one being capable of destroying the Host of Heaven with a single word, but when he learned that demons were coming for him he chose to leave and live his life in peace. Other cambions can do the same, by definition their human and demon sides are created in conflict of one another but it is up to cambions to decide which side of themselves they choose to listen to. The demon side of them is always there in the back of their minds trying to tempt them towards evil but their human side gives them the choice of whether or not they listen to it. There are times when the demon side can be overwhelming but there are different ways in which they can learn to tune that out and most come through determination and experience. When a cambion dies, they go to Heaven or Hell depending on their actions due to their human side.
Ageing When a cambion is born they age normally just like a regular child and they only gain access to their abilities as they grow. Cambions are capable of being aged up by the spell that lingers over Mystic Falls just like other species are.
Becoming human Cambions are born with both a human and demon side and those two sides of themselves are destined to remain in conflict. It is possible for a demon to become human if they are injected with enough human blood and the same is true of cambions, over time they can be injected with enough human blood to eradicate their demon blood for good.
Eye colour While the eyes of a demon are usually black, those of a cambion are a dark gray with the only exception being those of a cambion who is the child of a Prince of Hell in which case their eyes glow a bright green.
Abilities All cambions have the abilities listed below that are underlined and they also have up to four of the other abilities.
Creation: Created as a result of a union between a virgin being possessed by a demon and person of the opposite sex. Abilities: Biokinesis; conjuration; immortality; invulnerability; super strength and senses; transformation; terrakinesis; concealment; demon control; exorcism; regeneration; telekinesis; teleportation. Common Weaknesses: Angel and archangel blades; demon-killing knife; heart extraction; becoming human; warding; God.

VAMPIRES - SYNTHETIC VAMPIRESBeginning Unlike traditional vampires who have been around for over a thousand years, the first synthetic vampires have only been created recently. For years the Augustine Society has been trying to create the perfect species to eradicate traditional vampires from the world once and for all and it is as a result of those experiments that synthetic vampires were created. All synthetic vampires were created with the ability to drink the blood of regular vampires and other species with a view to making them the superior race.
Transition Like their traditional counterparts, synthetic vampires are humans who are brought back to life after being injected with a serum created by the Augustine Society and must complete the transition in order to survive. Some can choose not to complete the transition but this is incredibly difficult to do. If they don't complete the transition they die as a human.
Abilities The serum grants them certain abilities when they resurrect but as these vampires are created through science rather than magic they don't share the same weaknesses to sunlight or wood that traditional vampires do. They aren't as strong as vampires that are older than they are but they are much more difficult to kill as not having these vulnerabilities gives them an advantage. Like traditional vampires, they cannot enter a home owned by a living person without an invitation by the owner and will desiccate if they do not feed for an extended amount of time. They can also be killed by decapitation, heart extraction or a bite from a werewolf or hybrid but they also have a soft spot at the back of their necks just below their hair line which is the site where the experiments took place and they can be killed if they are stabbed in that exact spot.
Feeding Vampires feed and survive on the blood of the living, typically on that of humans, although synthetic vampires can also survive on the blood of other vampires along with blood belonging to other species.
Bloodlust Bloodlust is more of an issue for synthetic vampires than it is for traditional vampires and is something that the Augustine Society didn't expect. It is more difficult for a synthetic vampire to learn control although they are drawn to the blood of other vampires and other supernaturals more than they are humans as a result of the experiments that were carried out on them. On occasion when a synthetic vampire feeds they can go into a frenzy and won't stop until they have killed their victim but through time and experience they can learn to control this.
Please note Synthetic vampires are a mixture of the artificial vampires that were introduced in the Salvation trilogy of books and the Augustine vampires that were introduced in the show. They were specifically created for use on this site and at the moment we are only accepting traditional vampires that have been created by Wes Maxfield.

Common Abilities: Enhanced strength, speed, agility, senses, durability and emotions; emotional control (humanity switch); healing; immortality; regeneration; drinking the blood of another vampire or other species to survive.
